Grand Bavaro Princess: Beautiful Resort!

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The beach is awesome!! My complaints are, they offer nothing for returning guests and the a la carte restaurants have very little to no AC, which makes it uncomfortable and very warm. The pool is great, however too many kids/toddlers in main pool. They have two other pools designated for kids only. It would be better if they had an adults only pool. Ocean Blue and Sand: Good Value & Nice beach

Nice beach, pools were good, food good. had a good time Of course there are those beach bums that reserve chairs with towels that they don't remove for days on end and then they don't even use them. The hotel should go through and remove them every night.

We really enjoyed our stay! Friendly service, clean rooms n facilities throughout resort. Had everything we wanted and needed and more. Really great size with lots of room but you don’t get lost and always a trolley if u prefer to get a ride! Highly recommend!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: nice resort

Nice resort But the beach was disappointed But after all a nice good resort.Staff was nice food was good But a lot off days the same food Not a lot variety Entertainment was okay.They did had a lot of cats in the resorts That was sad Poor skinny cats. I felt sorry for that

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: MOLDY BAD RESORT!

MOLDY BAD RESORT! THERE ISNT A BUILDING OR ROOM THAT WAS CLEAR OF MOLD! I WAS SICK RIGHT AWAY! HAD TO WALKTO NEXT RESORT TO SEE DR. HE WAS INSISTANT ON SENDING ME OUT BY AMBULANCE. VERY LOW OXYGEN. HEART RATE VERY HIGH AND LUNGS FULL OF MOLD. AIR-CONDITIONING UNITS ARE FULL OF MOLD AND DIRT. NEVER BEEN CLEANED. CHANGE ROOMS AND SAME THING. TALKING TO PEOPLE ABOUT ROOMS AND THEY AGREED. THE ONE ROOM AIR DIDNT EVEN WORK BUT STILL MOLDY! WONT GO BACK!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort

Bahia Principe Aquamarine is an overall great resort. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Lots of great dining options. Amazing beach and pool. A bit of walking within resort, which we enjoy and shuttle services readily available. Biggest downside is that the rooms are outdated and in need of a refresh and renovation. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing Resort

Beautiful atmosphere, service was exceptional, room’s very clean.. always replenished fridge, etc.. Lots of huts and chairs around large pools.. all employees are so professional and friendly.. they go out of their way.. . Fabulous food selection at the buffet, never empty trays of food always replenished quickly.

Ocean El Faro: It's okay

There are people at the beginning stating their your concierge for the week, but they just try to get you to a time share and you never see them again. They book 1 restaurant, give you a coupon for 20min massage and a little bottle of alcohol so you go to this weird time share at the tower. That was not enjoyable and the pressure is a lot. We were not booked side by side rooms although requested. The resort is about 1 hour away from airport. The rooms smell a bit mouldy. The tiles are nice. I  [... read more]like the reusable cups at pools and beach, plus the waiter services. Lazy river was the best feature. The little splash pool for kids was fun. The weird pool dance off was too sexual and felt more like a strip club. The buffet had a lot of options but we got sick. Hit or miss with taste. Same with the private restaurants. The steakhouse didn't work on app. The cafe was nice, same with the burger shack. The beach is rocky, but i like wild beaches. No point in bringing snorkel gear. Good sunrises.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Medicore resort at best

Royalton Splash was quite run down in comparison to other Royalton resorts (including the sister resort next door) that we’ve stayed at. The buffet food was repetitive and often cold. The staff at breakfast were grumpy and barely tended to the tables. The butler was absolutely useless all he did the entire vacation was book 3 al a carte restaurants. We did not get the beach bag, bottle of wine, bottle of champagne or snacks in the room as advertised. He msged us daily asking where we were and no [... read more]t once did he connect with us on the vacation in person other than the first day and last day when he expected a tip. The pool tiles were falling off and my daughter cut the top of her foot the first day on them in the main pool. The pool entertainment was lousy and often didn’t start until 3pm. The beach was beautiful sand and well kept. The beach chairs however were literally on top of each other and not spaced out it was impossible to enjoy without 10 people around you at all times. They were all piled at the top of the beach ways away from the water and squished together like sardines. Was to uncomfortable. The room had a weird pull out bed when advertised with 2 queen beds. The shower leaked into the hallway and into the toilet area. The door lock did not work. The back patio door had no handle. The drawers would often open and get stuck. There was no hair dryer in our room at all. The flight on the way had none of the upgrades that were paid for. The seats were uncomfortable, 3 in a row (not the double comfy seats as advertised). I had to pay for drinks and meals which were advertised as included. The way home was perfect as anticipated and the plane food and service was amazing.

Paradisus Grand Cana: 1000/10 Experience — Definitely Coming Back!

I had such an amazing trip with my boyfriend, and this hotel truly made the experience unforgettable. We stayed in the Master Suite, and the room was huge, beautiful, and had an amazing view. Everything was always kept clean, and housekeeping did a great job making sure the room stayed fresh throughout our stay. The food was really good overall. The drinks were amazing too, and the service throughout the hotel was excellent. The staff were so kind, welcoming, and helpful, and honestly, the hotel and the staff were spot on. Everything about this stay felt relaxing, beautiful, and well taken care of. I would definitely come back, and specifically to this hotel again. Overall: 1000/10 experience. Highly recommend!

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Transition of resort dilemmas

My first time in the DR, such a beautiful place , amazing people and hotel staff that go over and beyond. Now considering we are in the DR, there was minimal night entertainment and pretty much everyone was in their rooms by 10-11 pm , lobby was cleared out and quiet . This type of guest entertainment was essential on several nights it down-poured rain. Unfortunately and unlike other resorts previously experienced throughout the Caribbean, this is the first time I did not experience local cultu [... read more]re of dancing and /or lessons , music etc. As well, no alcoholic beverages provided in the room fridge nor was room service food available as advertised with the exception of a sandwiches which had to be ordered in the lobby as phones were down. Apparently there was a transfer of ownership at the time of my stay which was only announced 1 week before departure.Even though I was looking for a more relaxed & adult location , myself and alot and even older of the older other guests felt like it was more a senior home , sadly I agree. Considering it’s such a beautiful resort with gorgeous ocean views and great staff that had to hear the guests complain. I found myself bored most nights talking to the staff walking by.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Beautiful location

The food, rooms, beach, grounds were all great. I would suggest more entertainment for the adults. The cafe being opened between meals was great. The beverages were good. Need diet coke or diet pepsi

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Paradise in Bavaro Beach

Fantastic grounds amazing gardens beautiful pools wonderful beach great food and very good staff and friendly entertainment amazing shows every night the rooms are great and well kept clean the Buffets they have great variety of food and drinks are great. Great Vacation in DR.

Secrets Royal Beach: Beautiful resort

Everything was lovely. Staff were friendly, activities were great. Food, lots of variety. Cleanliness great. Rooms were great and amenities were filled. Entertainment was also great, and just overall atmosphere.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing Value!

The Marien Resort exceeded our expectations. This resort is very clean and they take pride in the high level of cleanliness, we were very impressed with that. The food also exceeded our expectations, great selection and variety of food. The only thing that could be better is the uncomfortable bed.. it is a typical resort bed that is very hard and did not sleep well as a result. Would still highly recommend this resort and we would certainly return .

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Nice resort!

Rooms were spacious and clean. Food was ok, noone got sick. Easy to book à la carte restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Only downside is it would be nice to have indoor bars especially when raining. Shows were kinda lame. A resort more for an older crowd but we had a fun time.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: A good option for a stay in Punta Cana

Some suggestions. Avoid the "orientation" or "tour" at all costs to become a "Privileged" guest...huge marketing push. Restaurants are nice - reserved ones no nicer and hard to book after 8 a.m. when you can start to book, buffet has something for everyone - even fussy eaters - items well marked. Adult only side lovely but the issue of getting a lounger - ugh - no better or no worse than other resorts. The resort could do a better job of monitoring who is using the Adult Only side...regularly sa [... read more]w people with bracelets for the El Faro side on the adult only side (which then takes away from those who booked and paid to use it). On the El Faro side (family resort side) lots to do for families. An hour from the airport...beach is always on red flag, not a walkers beach area. They are always walking around the pool trying to sell excursions and spas...but if you don't engage with them they keep walking. There are no other resorts in this area and it is not close to a town if this is something you wish to do. For those with mobility issues there are a few touches... they have a tram (train) going through the resort all the time, on the El Beso side the buildings are 3 stories and do have an elevator - some ramps but I wouldn't call it fully accessible but a good effort.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great Resort but beware of the bus rides

This resort was great overall. The room was clean, the food was good (although the "alcohol" in drinks is watered down significantly), and the beach was nice. As with other resorts, though, the "reserving" of chairs is a pain to deal with. We had to be on the beach by 7 to get a chair. Resorts have to come up with a different system. They either have to increase the number of chairs significantly or remove everything left on sets of chairs that are left empty for a while. The bus ride there was scary, the driver repeatedly passed in bends in the pouring rain near cliffs. The bus on the way back had transmission issues to the point that it could barely make it up a small elevation and took twice as long to arrive at the airport as it should have.

Princess Family Club Bavaro: Fun family resort

Clean well maintained. Many food options, friendly staff. Princess area is great for kids. Great size rooms. The beach is clean and well equipped with lounges and shade. Food trucks are a great opportunity for drinks and snacks. Their foam parties are fantastic. The kids club is well run.
