Riu Yucatan: JUST WHAT WE NEEDED.
Excellent resort. Very clean, beautiful large beach, delicious food, great service. Also perfect size resort. Not oversized which is great. The chill pool was an excellent idea. Relaxing, quiet. Would recomend definitely.
Riu Ocho Rios: Riu Ocho rios
Hotel was nice is going through a Reno shortly so will be spectacular in sept 2019. Staff were friendly beach was awesome and had scuba onsite and close to the dolphins cove.. 1hr and a half commute from the Montego Bay airport but location is worth the trip
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Outstanding
The Riu Palace in Costa Rica was truly outstanding. Lovely well kept and clean grounds. Excellent staff and restaurants. A resort that gave you good value for your money. Beach however should have more shady spots for sunbathers. Water rougher than we are use too. Very hot but breezy.
Riu Negril: Certainly not a 5 star !
Hello, here is our review of the Riu Negrilstaying there March 3 until the 11, 2019 Out of all 11 RIU Resorts we have stayed at , this one would be the worst. The food is ok at the buffets, however the food is certainly not hot. the italian is the best selection for food that is served hot Dining outdoors in the am is like sitting in a bird santuary, constantly being bombarded with black birds looking for food There were cochroaches outside the Italian restaurant one night The pool with [... read more]
Riu Republica: Great Resort!
Our group of 4 gals just returned from a one week stay at the Riu Republica. We had a beautiful week with lots of sunshine and hot weather every day! This resort is huge and has numerous pools and bars. It was the beginning of March breaks so there were lots of college students celebrating but they were well behaved for the most part. Beach - Arena Gorda so it’s great if you like playing in the waves Food - great selection. Lots of restaurants that you don’t have to book ahead [... read more]
Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort
The highlight of this resort was being able to go snorkelling right in front of the hotel. Spectacular. I can not wait to see what this resort looks like once the renovations are complete in the fall.
Riu Santa Fe: Lovely resort
The resort is quite large, so there is lots of walking to the pools and restaurants. The food was only fair, serving the same buffet each day, and there were no true a la carte restaurants. Even the a la cartes were served buffet style and served most of the same items that were at the buffet. We were also there during the US March break, which made for a lot of noise at night, lots of drunk teenagers who crowded the pools and bars. The staff were nice and tried to accommodate as best as p [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Great Stay!!
We were suppose to stay at the Riu Santa Fe for 11 days but upon arrival they told us that we had been upgraded to the new Riu Palace Baja California that is directly next door. This gave us access to all 3 Riu resorts here. We did spend a fair amount of time at the Santa Fe. Its is an all ages resort so it will appeal to more people in the younger age groups. The grounds are very well kept and the food at both buffet and a la cartes is very good. Be aware that since its an all ages resort, it c [... read more]
Riu Palace Peninsula: Amazing resort
Loved the beach area, we had a double balcony with fantastic ocean view. Staff were excellent. Food very good. I have already recommended this property to numerous friends. Loved the whirlpool tub in the room with view to the ocean.
Riu Caribe Cancun: Amazing Resort
The Riu Caribe was an absolutely beautiful resort. We stayed there from March 2-9/19. The hotel was just the right size, with excellent service, food, pools and beach Breathtaking views from our balcony. The room was very clean with lots of room. Loved the fact that you could get on any local bus just steps out front of the resort and go down the hotel zone to do some shopping in some great Brand Name Stores. 20 pesos to ride the bus one way - it only too 8-10 min to get to a huge outlet mall. Riu Cancun: Fantastic Vacation
The Riu Cancun is our favourite Riu property. The entire resort is spotlessly clean and modern. The grounds, plants, and beach are looked after with the utmost care and all staff go out of their way to smile and help in any way they can. The food is always fresh and there is a great variety of dishes and restaurants as well. The atmosphere is very relaxing and we felt completely comfortable and welcomed at the resort.
Riu Playa Blanca: Very decent resort
The hotel was what we expected from a Riu chain of hotels. Device was amazing. The rooms were modern and quite big, all with decent size balconies. entertainment was ok but repetitive. A la carte restaurants were average but the buffet was better. The beach was not very welcoming due to the colour of the sand and the murkiness of the water. The 4 pools were good but do not expect to do laps because all of them were shallow, just great to lounge around for with your drinks at hand. Overall, de [... read more]
Riu Emerald Bay: Excellent vacation at the Riu Emerald Bay
The Riu Hotel Emerald Bay Mazatlan was our first visit to a Riu Hotel. We recieved our check in on the bus on the way to the hotel which was a bonus. I personally do not like heights and had hoped to be on a lower floor. We were on the 16th floor and I thoroughly enjoyed the views from our room. The last night we upgraded to the zaccuzi suite and now we would definatley book a zaccuzi suite for the whole vacation next time. The suite was beautiful. At first glance the hotel is very impressive. T [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great vacation
My husband and I spent 4 days at the Riu, Nassau March 3-7. Fantastic beach and hotel. Staff were all friendly and the service was very good - from the room service, restaurant and bar tenders . We didn't make it to the a la carte's but the buffet and outdoor grill were very good. Lots of options at the buffet and different each night. Nice quick walk over to the Atlantis, the Marina at the Atlantis and the Craft Market. Will definitely recommend.
Riu Playa Blanca: Great Resort
Good food , good variety. Clean well kept resort. Friendly , helpful staff. We never felt as though we were pressured into tipping the staff. The service at the restaurants was timely. The waiters were there when needed but not all over you . It is setup well for families. Large well equipped pool for children, Pool with swim up bar, a smaller pool also which was quiet and great for relaxing in . The entertainment was probably average for resorts. The beach was large with lots of lounges avai [... read more]
Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Excellent Resort
The hotel is fantastic after the reno's. Staff are wonderful. Grounds kept very clean Food quality has slipped a little since last year. Not as much selection but tastes very good. I don't feel the management treats the staff as well as they should
Riu Plaza Panama: BEAUTIFUL RESORT
Beautiful Resort I found the staff did not go out of their way to serve or to wait on you I don't know if it was because they didn't have to rely on tips like most resorts do they said you could tip if you wanted but even when we tipped it did not make a difference we went to shows and the staff would walk by and not even ask if we would like anything to drink
Riu Vallarta: A+ For Effort
The staff were all friendly & acommodating overall. The variety of food offered would please anyone, however I found it to be a little plain. The pool area was nice but the beach was great. The entertainment was your standard menu
Riu Palace Jamaica: Riu Palace Jamaica
This resort is the most friendly & clean I have ever stayed at..Hotel staff very accomodating- I broke soap dispenser they sent maintenance right up to fix Grounds very beautiful & well maintained.Buffet could hAve a little more variety.Restaurants have a nice choice to choose from although I would like to see an authentic Italian restaurant. Beach is small but never have to wait for chairs.I would recommend Riu Palace to friends & family.
Riu Ocho Rios: Great resort
Overall great time. Beds could be better. Hard as rocks and seem very dated. Would go back for sure! Beach was awesome. No trouble with a 3 year old. Al la carte restaurants do not need reservations. Staff very friendly. Great vibe.
