Hotel Camino del Mar: Magical Place!

Melia Cayo Guillermo was an amazing experience! The staff is so nice, fun and friendly. The grounds and beach are beautifully kept. The Buffet food was very good and always different and the a la cartes were absolutely amazing. The pool and beach had many beach chairs, papalas, umbrellas so we always had a place to sit, and the boardwalk was so nice to sit on during the day or night. I would definitely recommend Melia Cayo Guillermo to friends and family if they travel to Cuba!

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Quiet resort and wonderful beaches

This was our 4th visit to this resort and I have to admit that the resort is in need of lots of upgrades. None of the water features such as fountains and pools were not working, but the landscaping was beautiful and lush. The lighting in some areas was poor making it a bit dangerous walking along the walkways at night. With the American embargo being in place and being in the path of hurricanes, one can understand the slow progress of renos and the lack of some food items. Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice beaches

The beach was amazing and the rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day The food was not good and we weren't even sure what we were eating most of the time. They ran out of alcohol at some of the bars numerous times through the week. The entertainers worked really hard and it was well presented but it was all the same every night no variation at all. Pools had green algae in a couple of days.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Best Time EVER

Myself, my husband and another couple stayed here for 5 days in April and had an amazing time!!!!! Beaches were absolutely beautiful and staff was so friendly and helpful. We had 2 butlers during our stay.....Yohena and Daily and I must say these two ladies made our entire trip!!!! We never had to worry about anything and they were always on top of EVERYTHING. Remembered all our drinks after the 1st day and made great recommendations when we wanted to switch [... read more] it up....I would definitely recommend this resort and if you can request specific butlers I promise Yohena and Daily won’t let you down!!!! Sol Cayo Coco: Sol Cayo Coco nice great Resort

Beautiful beaches one for swim and other for relax,great walking at the beaches,nice pools, Wonderful staff, nice rooms ,view to the ocean,good food and drinks, had a great time,Cuba is very safe and secure,I walked and relax at night at the beach,so peaceful

Tryp Cayo Coco: almost perfect!

Food was better than any place in cuba i went before! this is my 6th time in cuba in 10 years. It's still cuba but i was really surprise. The hotel is small and welcoming. I prefer samll places than big hotels. Everything clean and nice. My only little concern is on weekend were local would come in. Never saw that kind of behaviour with local before very dirty habits by letting all their food on the floor or dropping their garbage on the floor instead of in a garbage can...the staff looked exhau [... read more]ted with them and angry but as soon as they were gone smile were back! i would recommend but make sure the person knows what to expect know that side. Melia Peninsula Varadero: Staff are amazing!

The Melia Penisula Has a outstanding setting with lush beautiful palm trees and an absolutely gorgeous beach with amazingly clear water! The weather was fantastic also. The pool was great and the entertainment at the hotel was top notch! Every night we had a band in the lobby and a dance show after that. The staff were beyond helpful And polite. Carlos the bellboy, Yarcial at breakfast, the Japanese restaurant chef and everyone at the lobby bar were phenomenal. The food was alright and the roo [... read more]ms were okay. Paradisus Varadero: Family Concierge Hotel

I just returned on Sunday, May 5th, 2019 from staying at the Family Concierge Hotel in Paradisus Resort in Veradero & would highly recommend it! The staff were amazing & the rooms were very modern & clean! The wait staff at the Buffet & Snack Bar were fantastic as well! My family & I had a fantastic week there!

Melia Cayo Coco: Great visit

We just returned yesterday from Melia Cayo Coco (1st visit) Upon arriving the frontdesk staff were great, Check-in was super quick. We upgraded to the Lagoon Room when we booked the trip- We wouldn't do that again. The lagoon or sewage smell was horrible. Everyday leaving from our room to go anywhere we had to walk down the walkway where it smelt like a backlog of bathroom sewage. Lunch Buffet- We didn't care for the lunch buffet at near the pool- We would usually order lunch at the restaurant on the ocean. Dinner Buffet- We really enjoyed the dinner buffet by the pool. Great food and great selection. The Pool- We used the pool once. We were really disappointed to see signs everywhere saying people aren't allowed to hold chairs but 80% of the chairs being held by towels, So because we were following the rules and not coming out at 8am to put towels down we were out of luck and didn't get a chair. The staff were great, Very accommodating. The drinks were really good! We ate at the International and Cuban restaurants and they were both great. Only thing i forgot to do was use bug spray before going to the Cuban restaurant as its right on the ocean and the mosquitoes are pretty bad (but that was totally our fault). I did find a lot of favoritism at this hotel. The returning guests always had there drinks refilled in a timely matter and there were quite a few times we felt like we had to flag people down or just go up and order ourselves. This is a very quiet resort so if that's what your in search for then this is the place to go! We were in room 2222 on the lagoon so super close to everything

Melia Buenavista: Nice Resort, Nice Friendly Staff.

A beautiful spot for sure and our room was excellent except the first day we were greeted by a large cockroach which I informed the front desk about. Nothing was done except they took the info. No more after that. The beaches and the coral were nice but a little rough water and the sand was a bit rough on the feet compared to other beaches in Cuba. All the dinners were ala carte. The trip from the Santa Clara airport to Melia Beunavista was really long..our butts were real sore. ;-) One thing is we will never travel Sunwing again. We had a very bad experience all the way from Ottawa to Holguin where we had to make a stop before Santa Clara. Parents did not care at all that their two kids were literally kicking, banging our seats behind us, even grabbed my arm twice. When we got to the resort we wanted to make sure we were not seated close to this dysfunctional family on the way back home and we contacted Sunwing and they did nothing at all. Three days of worry while we were trying to enjoy the resort until we realized we the customer would have to look after this ourselves at the Santa Clara airport, which we did and got our seats changed. Flown a lot and this has never happened before. But the resort was lovely for sure.

Paradisus Varadero: amazing resort

We went with 12 family members to Cuba. This was our first time in Cuba and we went in with lower expectations as it is a very poor country. We were told by multiple people that the food and the hotels are very low quality but went in with high expectations of the beaches. We were pleasantly surprised to eat food that was decent and stay in a hotel room in the family concierge part of the hotel that is nicer than most hotels we have stayed in in Canada. Melia Las Americas: Best All-inclusive Resort in Cuba!

I absolutely LOVE this resort! This last, was my twelfth time visiting Melia Las Americas which in itself should say alot. Everything from the hotel to the rooms, the pools, the ocean and the food are top notch. Having the golf package is also key to me as I am an avid golfer and the golf course is second to none. The service staff are friendly, efficient and are there to wait on your every need. If you want to feel like a King (or Queen) for a week, Melia Las Americas is the place to go.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: 2019 Trip South

The rooms were great, loved the suite. Grounds are beautiful and well established. Loved all the al carte's with the exception of Cuban. It appears only two people looking after the full restaurant. We would definitely go back again and would recommend to friends. Val was great. Bartenders need a little more experience, some were hit and miss.

Melia Las Dunas: Great service & beaches

Beautiful beaches and great service. A few bugs in the room and cleaning could have been done better. It's Cuba so I wasn't expecting much for the food, we survived but left hungry that's for sure. Pool and deck could have been cleaned better, along with dinning areas and lobby. WiFi was poor but we didn't care because we were on vacation.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful Resort!

Melia Jardines del Rey is a large well kept resort. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained by the housekeeping staff. Each day you were provided with a fresh bottle of water, soft drinks and beers. Our room was located in bunglow 18 located close to the beach. The beach is spectacular, you can walk on white powdered sand which stretches along the Caribbean sea for quite a distance. There is plenty of beach chairs and coverage from the sun. The temperatures ranged from 31 to 36 degrees  [... read more]celsius everyday. A very good beach bar with fast efficient service. There is a buffet luncheon available at the beach restaurant. Upon arrival at the resort we were taken to a room located off the main lobby where we were greeted with a welcome cocktail, we were given our bracelets for our all inclusive vacation, told what was open in the resort for food, our passports were taken and scanned and brought back within 5 minutes. They arranged for our money to be exchanged. Very fast and efficient service. Then we were taken with our luggage to our rooms by staff members driving a golf cart. The only three negative comments about this resort is the customer service needs to improve in the snack bar located in section 17 of the resort. in the al carte restaurant Don Perrone (italian) section need more wait staff waited quite along time for service and food. Waited for 45 minutes for french fries and hot dogs while everyone was served and left. We never received our proper orders. The food in the buffet area needs to be hotter, most times cold by the time you seat yourself to eat your meal. There was definitely a good variety of food being served. Booking spa services through the Sunwing rep ensure you have the right package before leaving their area. I have been coming to Cuba since 1986 and know what to expect with regards to food, resort and service. I come for the culture, people, safety and the great weather! The Spanish government has recently come into this resort and provided new management. I have stayed at several Melia resorts in the past and love the quality they provided! Overall my daughter and I had a great vacation! We are already planning our trip for next year!

Melia Cayo Coco: Perfect for us!

The things we loved about this resort include the people, beach, size, food, just about everything. If you are looking for a quiet, fun, welcoming where you are treated like family, this is it. This was our sixth trip to Cuba and ranks as our best vacation yet. Bonus....only 15 minutes from the airport!

Tryp Cayo Coco: amazing beach

I have been to this resort on a few occasions, I have returned here as I really enjoyed everything about it. This time however I found they were very understaffed. Mind you I still had a fabulous time here. You cannot beat the beach at this resort. I missed having the pizza oven working in the buffet this yr also as well as not being able to have a mojito as there was never any mint, I waited all yr for my mojito fix. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great Varadero resort for adults

We stayed the week of April 30, 2019, the weather was beautiful, as was the beach and the hospitality of the staff at this resort. Mostly middle aged couples, very quiet, always space at the beach and pool. The food was very good, many options for everything at all meals, no complaints what so ever. We stayed in the royal service area, and it was worth the upgrade, less crowd, no line ups and lots of other extras, check it out . There is no wifi in the room, they give you a card for one hour at a time which by the way is included in the royal service, you pay extra for that in the other areas. Even with this, the wifi is on and off, which I was told is typical throughout Cuba. We would go back for sure, very nice relaxing vacation.

Tryp Cayo Coco: ok resort

the resort was dated. Trying to book the A La Carte was absolutely horrible. Some people in our group had no problems with bookings and others couldn't get one at all. The view off our balcony was very nice but not worth the money, plus others in our group who had not booked or paid the extra for an ocean view room actually ended up getting one anyways. Melia Marina Varadero: OK, but not the service I expected

Have been to Cuba many times before, but was disappointed with this hotel. Small things like lack of signs pointing to the lobby in the stairs. Big things like one room out of two having bad mold problems in the air conditioning. I never have problems with the food in Cuba, but they were skimpy in bringing things out which then led to guests taking lots and lots of food which led to it being wasted, and even more shortages. A classic feedback loop. Food at beach snack bar was a small  [... read more]subset of the main buffer. The real service problem was at the snack bar, taking forever for getting a drink or food. On the last day we showed up 90 minutes before our bus wanting to get food before departure, told them we were leaving and we even had some small carryon cases with us. Most food was unavailable and what we got arrived with a few minutes to spare. The good parts: breakfast at the snack bar was good, ad we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony in the main meeting. Beach was good, and it was easy to get drinks. The walk to the beach was not as far as it looks on the map, with the bridge it is fine. You can always hop on to a ride, but there are not a lot of them, especially during rush hour.
