Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Horrible Service

Food was repetitive. No AC in the room, claims they’ll come to fix and they didn’t Service was horrendous. The shuttle carts never pick you up they see you standing there to wait and they zoom past you and when you ask them to please take you somewhere they say bluntly no. Waiters/servers horrible… you honestly didn’t want to tip them because they rarely came to ask you for drinks or even pick up the plates. They only message to tell you sorry for your experience we’ll communicate with the rest but honestly that’s exactly what they told us in person and our issues didn’t get fixed. Imagine? No AC for a week and fecal residue on our bathroom door! We had to clean it up and we told them please there’s still some left and they never came to clean it or even offered to change rooms. That was disgusting to come to our new room to find someone else’s feces hand prints on the door…

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Feces residue in the room, Horrible service (fakes that they’re doing anything about it)

When we entered the appearance looks very nice and rooms look very spacious. However we had several problems as a family (5 different rooms) 2 rooms had AC issue (they claimed to fix it and it didn’t work) we had no AC for the whole week. And the fan is designed in a very strange way it’s on the side where the couches are instead of the actual bed therefore causing no air flow. 1 room had issues with wifi (they kept telling us there was no problems but the wifi wouldn’t connect)  [... read more] 1 room upon arrival they saw feces residue on the bathroom door, no one came to clean up. 1 room had nothing no soap or anything. Mini bar in room is rarely refilled and the water bottles it’s a big litre one that isn’t cold it’s hot because they leave it out in the room. The service at the buffet was terrible, the servers did not approach you or rarely did. Sometimes we even had horrible looks just because we asked for something like a drink. They wouldn’t pick up our plates, plates would accumulate. The Shuttles… honestly I have never been to a resort where the shuttles refuse to take you and even ignore you. Others would just zoom past you and you’d be “wait! Can I get a ride” and they’d say “no, I have other things to do”. So many shuttles and all of them empty most of the time as they don’t take anyone. The food wasn’t too great as well, every day was repetitive. The housekeeper wasn’t very clean, you can tell the room is still dirty upon arrival and during our stay they would not do changes of towels sometimes and other times the bed wasn’t properly made. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. Staff were not friendly and everyone seems frustrated. I do have to say that the restaurant a la carte were good and the service is much better there (would recommend the Mexican and Brazilian). However, the bad part is that when we arrived as soon as we got our room number we were online trying to book and EVERYTHING was booked. We then asked and they said they give priority to the black bracelet members. So, you would get these ridiculous late times like 9:15 pm. We would have to be checking for cancellations to get in earlier. I would not recommend this place and do not plan on returning to this resort. It was unpleasant and by the 3rd day we wanted to go back home and didn’t even want to eat their food (which we never experienced before)

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Good resort

I recently stayed at this hotel and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating from the moment I arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: A disappointment

Hotel needs updating, no air conditioning in restaurants with 40 degree temperatures. Air conditioned areas reserved for diamond club only. Their desserts were stale and often not replenished. All juices were watered down. Room service was pointless as it took over an hour to arrive at your room. Very disappointed with this Royalton location. The Royalton in Negril, Jamaica was much better.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Amazing resort!

We had an Amazing 25th Anniversary trip at this resort! We stayed 9 nights at this beautiful resort and we loved everything about it! The resort is clean and so beautiful that we even booked an anniversary photoshoot on our anniversary. The beach is also beautiful on the Secrets property and it is always being cleaned so there’s not much seaweed during the day. We snorkelled right out front and saw stingrays, lots of fish, starfish, and a turtle. We also paid to go to the turtle sanctuary next [... read more] door to see more turtles and we saw 5! The food was amazing everywhere but we ate at the French and the Italian restaurants for most of our stay because we loved the romantic ambiance and the piano player who played there every night. The most we waited for a table was about 30min. The food on the beach (we had quesadillas, burgers, pizza) was so good (maybe share the quesadillas since they are huge!). The service by absolutely every staff member was outstanding! We usually take note of our favourites but honestly, every staff member was our favourite. They even made sure to say hi to us every time we walked by and they served us like kings and queens. Room service was also fantastic and we didn’t find the wait long at all (unlike some of the other resorts we have stayed at). Honestly, this resort is the best one we have stayed at in our opinion (and we have stayed at over 15 resorts in Mexico). If we had to criticize one thing, it is that we booked an ocean view room but the view of the ocean is more of a partial view. We asked for an upgrade but it would have cost us 300$ US per night so we didn’t bother. We were top floor in building 9 which was close to the restaurants and the view was still nice. We can’t wait to return to this resort!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Amazing Resort

We cannot say enough good things about the Maya Barcelo Caribe. From the moment we arrived until we left, we had a great time. The service was great, the food was great, the beaches were great, the weather was phenomenal. Many things we probably did not get to do as the property is hug and we were discovering new things daily. Very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be visiting again.

Riu Palace Mexico: Riu palace mecico

Hi Kevin its Mike and Laura to tell you sbout trip to the Riu Palace in Mexico. To start the experience was great the staff very friendly ther we're always cleaning somewhere on the resort which was great the food was outstanding always had a variety at the three meal sittings never wemt hungry we would consider this resort again. There was a little rain the odd time but didn't last long just a few minutes thanks for helping us out with our travel plans hope to do business with you again.

Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid: Nice resort except the kids club

All was nice, food, service, all the staff except kids club they were very un patient with parents and kids they want perfect kids to baby set.................... Also beach was better in Cancun The rest of staff were nice

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Amazing trip

The Paradisus was a great vacation. Our kids loved the water park and pirate ship and the grounds were extremely clean and well kept. The alcohol selection is next level and the restaurants were really good. The buffet was just ok nothing special. The restaurants made up for it. There were tons of activities for the kids to do as well and nightly entertainment for them. Overall we were very satisfied.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Small hotel feel, bigger hotel options

Hotel in the jungle. Super lush. It felt like I was at a small hotel, not a factory-sized hotel. Buffet was good and the Alux restaurant was astonishing. Travel to the beach and other hotels was simple and quick

Viva Maya by Wyndham: Very good resort

Very good resort with helpful staff, great service, lots of activities and shows. Rooms are super clean. The food was not the best but was okay. We liked our stay at this resort and we definitely recommend it

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort

Definitely alot of restaurants it is well maintained food is average not best ever the only bad thing was I didn't like the fact that they are very stricked on bringing food back to the room/snacks at the pool ares etc based on the animals they have but yet you can order room service which ends up the same one big thing didn't like could enjoy a nice burger lieing down relaxing had to eat at the restaurants even the snack shops like example nacos should be ok to eat by the pool they are very fr [... read more]iendly with you the both sides adult and family are not together even know your on adult they stop you not right when it's same resort also the waterpark they don't allow you to use it with your kids not right should be able to play have fun with your child they can't say it's too small as its pretty medium size water park

Grand Riviera Princess: Great resort

The hotel was beautiful. The grounds were immaculate! The resort is huge so be prepared to walk. The food was great. An assortment of options for each meal. Numerous buffets and restaurants! There was never a lack of options for food.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Not as good

I have been to this resort twice before this time in 2013 and in 2015. Both times you could use all the pools, bars,buffets,beaches and shows no matter which part of the resort you booked into. NOW you can only use the resort you booked into things. If you book into Coba, you can only use Coba Beach, buffet, bars, pools, shows. They give you an arm band when you arrive letting all the other areas know you aren't welcome there, and they are strict about not letting you use the other areas.We Won [... read more]'t be back.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful Resort

The grounds are beautiful and our suite was very large and comfortable. I felt like we were in a boutique resort. Loved all the different pool area, the infinity and adult we're are favorites. Dinning was also a pleasant experience, must try is the Lizzard Restaurant for lunch. The beach was a little disappointing, not great for a long stroll and still plenty of seaweed considering all the hard work of removing it.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Super nice ,compact resort, meh beach.

Room was very nice with jacuzzi ensuite. Balcony overlooking the pool. There is one feature of the room that will make some guests uneasy which is the translucent frosted glass of the shower which is seen from the room side. If you have younger adults or children staying in the same room it might be bothersome. The lobby and other common areas were always clean. Staff were quite helpful. The main restaurant, Spoons is not open every night which means you have to go to one of the other restaura [... read more]nts. We stayed in this resort previously in 2017 and there are now some downgrades compared to then. The kids/family side is no longer a Nickelodeon venue but the splash park and Pizza place are still there as is the daycare. The menu items of the restaurants were altered and notable were the 9 courses of tapas which are no longer offered. The Italian restaurants' dishes of Rissoto were not up to par. Absent was the singing chef which previously was a delight. As this visit was in the off season the resort has several areas which were having repairs. There are many "opportunities" to get upgrades, for a rather steep price. The Beach - Some sea weed was to be expected as we had heard reports that many places in the Caribean are plagued this year. However it was less than expected. The distance from the retaining wall to the water is fairly short and the bottom was not visible due to murky waters and it was fairly shallow and rocky which made it unpleasant and difficult to swim in. Entertainment started at 9:30 for adults and there was usually an 8pm show for kids as well.At this resort there is no place to sit outside at night, such as a cafe/bar type area. Back in 2017 there was more entertainment in the lobby area as well. There are some Iguanas roaming around but they tend to keep to themselves. This resort is realativly close to the airport but not close enough to the town to take a walk over to the local Walmart. We were advised it would cost $35 US dollars in a taxi each way!! Each building has a concierge who is responsible for making your stay enjoyable and for upselling you on multiple luxury offers which are pretty expensive. One last thing that I found disappointing is that my room was not able to be cleaned until late afternoon each day. This was not at all normal compared to any resort I had visited in the past. I fact we opted not to have our room cleaned on several days as we were in the room at that time.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: If not looking for a Caribbean beach

The room , amenities and the staff were really great. The buffet was great but specialty restaurants were ordinary . The two pools were super fun but the ocean was filled with fresh and rotten sea weeds. The resort was doing their best to clean up the beach but couldn’t win over nature.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: My 50th Birthday Trip

To be totally honest everything was OK with the exception of the following .. 1 King Bed and a couch bed , never heard from the desk about moving to to a room with two beds AC was poor , ceiling fan had one speed Slow .. called the desk, they sent two set of repair personnel twice and yet never offered to switch the room .. I won't be revisiting this resort or chain based on this experience

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Okay Resort

Hotel was great. Food, staff and pool. My room had no A/C, we did notify them but nothing. The beach is very rocky, so make sure you have water shoes. Everything else was great. Jose, our server was the best.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Ocean Riviera Paradise

The resort is very nice. I appreciated how clean it was, especially the rooms. I was surprised at how well the wifi worked at this resort, considering how large the grounds were. The resort's app was also convenient and informative. The resort is very big so we were subject to A LOT of walking! The biggest disappointment with our stay at this resort was the lack of a beach.
