Riu Flamingos: Bang for the buck!

This hotel is fantastic high end resort for a budget price! I have been 4 times and love it all. Fantastic foods....buffet has loads of seafood and salmon etc and something for everyone. Everything is close (small resort) short walk to pools, beach and restaurants. Great entertainment staff and lots of daily activities if wanted. Shows were excellent. Can't say enough for the money you spend. Cheap Cuba pricing at a quality 5 star resort.

Riu Flamingos: Puerto Vallarta Riu Jalisco

I have stayed at the Riu Palace previously, and am familiar with the Riu Santa Fe as well. The Riu Jalisco is similar to the Santa Fe in service, as in no Poolside or Beach Service, and no food allowed at the pool. and crowded. We were disappointed in the amenities in comparison to the Palace, and would rate the hotel as a 4 star for the rooms, and 3.5 stars for level of amenities including food. They gym equipment was old, and only had 2 treadmills, 2 elliptical, and 2 bikes for cardio, s [... read more]o that gets 2 stars They ran out of Barcardi Blanco daily, at the lobby, at the pool, and at the entertainment bars.. and since we only had no-name brand alcohol in the rooms, that was a fail. They had 3 main restaurants, and although the food was tasty, it was not spectacular. The steak house had steaks just over 1/4 inch thick, and although they were delicious, they were not worth the 2 hour wait in a super-hot and humid restaurant. The hotel filled up on Thursdays through the weekend, so if you you like waiting in lines for buffet and and hunting for free chairs at the pool, this may be your hotel. The adult pool was full of kids, so if you like splashing pool water in your drinks, enjoy! They had iguanas walking around the pool which I found amusing, I haven't seen that before. The gardeners also cut coconuts off the resident trees and provided them if you wanted one. The front desk always had plenty of pesos so changing larger bills for smaller 20's and 50's was never an issue. The rooms were kept nice and neat, and we had no issues with them. I would say if you don't mind providing your own service or waiting in lines for food, this hotel might be for you.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Wish we were still there...fabulous!

Just got home from a two week getaway at the Fiesta Americana.... was fabulous. The staff was out of this world, very clean resort, very accommodating.... drinks were good...pool was clean, food was great too. The only thing we would like to say is that they need one more restaurant, by the end of the second week we wanted something different...they have a lot of choice but no salmon which surprised us...besides that... nothing bad to say...we will definitely be going back!!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Fantastic resort

It is our 15 times that we go to this resort in the last 5 1/ 2 years and have recommended lots of people to the resort already and they all feel the same way then us, it is a 4 star resort with 5 star service.Every one is pleasant from the gardener, chambermaid, bartenders, waiters and the front desk staff.Going so many time now, most knows us by name and always shows their content that we are back at the resort. The person that is in charge of allocating the rooms gave us his personal e mai [... read more]l and told us when we go the next time to send him a note and he will make sure to reserve the room we want to stay in. The assistant General Manager asked us personally to write him a letter before we left to voice our opinion on some of the changes that was made and some of the changes that should be made. We have nothing but praise about this hotel and in the near future, we will go to their hotel in other countries to try them out. Thanks for letting us giving some feed backs. Las Palmas by the Sea: Good bang for the buck!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Las Palmas resort. Immediately upon our arrival we were welcomed by the staff and escorted to our room. The room was very comfy, with a balcony and view of the ocean. The only complaint about the rooms, would be the firmness of the beds; also the pillows were rather lumpy. However the cleaning staff were excellent, with washing the tile floors every morning, sweeping the balcony, and changing the bedding. There were always plenty of desert choices, along with great table service for bringing drinks and clearing off used plates. However, we were not impressed with the 'A La Cart' restaurant. Not only were reservations not required, but the service and food was secondary and NOT as good as that offered in the common eating area. There were two pools.....one being for adults, and the other for families, and both were very well maintained. The staff were always cheerful and polite, but many did not understand English, although that did not seem to be an impediment.

The Hotel was amazing, not as clean as previous years, the food and people were as always great, few things in the room were more annoying then anything got locked out once had to wait forever to get in, twice locked out of the safe, things that they tryed to hurry to do but not so fast mexican time. sunwing is not the plane to go, even with the elite seats they seperated us and row 1 was cramped stewardess were not the best if you dont want want to be one go to macdonalds

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Very Nice

Nice resort, I would go back but like anything there are pros and cons Rooms - nice decor, clean, typical size, comfortable bed, (if you have a room with a view) absolutely gorgeous views, beautiful sunsets, at night, a romantic moon lite ocean, Service - average, staff are polite and helpful but at the same time very lacking in the concerns of the guest, construction noise, jack hammering all week in the room across the hall, the bar fridge was only stocked 3 of 7 days which  [... read more]means no water to drink in your room, Food - adequate, the quality of food in my very well traveled opinion is that, it is below average for an all inclusive, one exception, on one night they put on a Mexican Fiesta and it was very good, the buffet was enclosed so no birds pecking at the food but still has flies flying around and landing on the food, two of the 4 restaurants are situated on the beach and have a beautiful ambience, some restaurants are closed on some nights. Resort Size - Small, not more than a 5 minutes walk to get anywhere in the resort, Location - Fantastic, isolated between two rock cliffs you have a very private beach yet, is only a 10 minute bus ride to Puerto Vallarta, Beach - Fabulous, Small surf, (obviously weather dependent) very little undertow, great for swimming, the beach has about a 20 foot shelf so you can walk out past the surf and be at a depth of only 5 to 6 feet, not a good beach for small children or non swimmers, water was clear 7 of 8 days, Pools - to small and impractical, beautiful to look at, but had very limited seating and were very crowded because there just isn't enough room Bars - are adequate, they could really use some live music Private functions, 5 of 7 night there were private functions which makes this resort even smaller because you can not use the facilities were the private functions are being held

Riu Vallarta: Nice resort but overall bad cutomer service

Just returned on Sunday November 6/2016 Needs serious upgrades, changes were made 3 times to make the situation healthy and comfortable, the staff at sport bars excellent , food OK Not at all satisfied with the service nor will we ever return to this one. Such bad customer service. Disapointed with this well deserved vacation

Las Palmas by the Sea: The perfect size resort

The hotel has seen constant small improvements from the quality of food selection and presentation, to the constant maintenance of the grounds. The staff from all aspects of the resort make it easy to want to stay with them again.

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Amazing trip

We booked Hyatt Ziva, Puerto Varartta. We were there for 10 days and would go back tomorrow. The resort was fantastic. The water was clear and blue and the beach was private. The staff were so kind. We went to town 5 times and felt very safe and never pressured to buy from the vendors. We took the city bus to Boca and hiked to Oceam Grill restaurant. It's a beautiful place. What we enjoyed the best was that the hotel has a turtle program. They dig up turtle eggs on the beach and bury them in a s [... read more]afe area and keep them till they hatch and release them at dusk. Great memories and would not hesitate to book through trip central.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great resort

Lots of new renovations since our last visit in 2014 which really enhance this property. Love the new lobby bar and the nice & toasty swim up bar area!! Negatives are lack of variety at the Bella Vista restaurant and lack of consistency with the pool activities as you never know if anyone will show up to lead the scheduled event. Overall a nice experience, the staff are great!!

Riu Flamingos: Not what I expected

Pool is too crowded, most of the time. With the number of rooms they should atleast have one more pool. Some napkins, plates and glasses are not clean. You have to pay to play billiards. Our balcony door does not lock. People can smoke anywhere even when they are in the pool. There are bird poo on some of the chairs on the reataurants. Front Desk were very helpful and friendly especially Marco Pollo and Luz was good bartender, beach is good.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Small quiet resort

We were on 2nd floor and would have liked higher for a better view but there woul be an extra charge. Lovely beach but loungers are brutal. Service at the Italian restaurant could have been better. Food was good but service not great. Definitely a 3 star resort.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Awesome value!

My husband and I stayed here for our second anniversary and were very impressed with what the resort had to offer. The room was lovely and very clean, we enjoyed late night swims in the adult only pool that was open until midnight and the salt water pool was really neat! Al a carte restaurants were good. The Mexican restaurant was our favourite as we were seated in the patio overlooking the ocean while the sun setted and the waiter made fresh guacamole at our table. Tonnes of free activities inc [... read more]luding lots of pool activities as well as tennis, kayaking, surfing, smirking, catamaran tours, and boogie boarding! The only thing that wasn't great is that the buffet restaurant doesn't rotate themes so they have the same menu every day but we just made sure we went for lots of al a carte dinners. We had an awesome vacation!!!

the resort had everything you needed and more we did not have to to leave the food was great lots of variety very cleanand spacious rooms definitely worth it no reservations for a la carte restaurants you could go back more than once

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Exceeded our expectations!!!!

It was our first trip to Mexico. It was in first week of October. I booked my trip 8 days before leaving. I payed eight hundred n i was not expecting much as it was supposed to include flight ,hotel, food n drinks. In the flight only soft drinks were provided no snacks ( which was ok as the price was so low). Once there were in a shuttle to the resort 20-25 minutes. I really liked the design of the resort..... I would describe it as campus style that you walk around to see everything they ha [... read more]d to offer not like a usual hotel which is just a tall building. Hotel was older but very clean and nicely maintained. We tried Italian, Brazilian, Mexican and Thai restaurant s all were 👍. And even if you were not able to book any restaurant the buffet had more than enough choices... The beach was beautiful and the waves were light enough that kids could enjoy,water temperature was just right. Puerto Vallarta has a lot to do but in my opinion I would reaserch the places and go in a taxi n not with Vallarta adventurers.... I went to the city tour, San Sebastian, went downtown in a cab and spent the whole day there. Everyone I spoke to had been there atleast 5 times I saw many families with small kids ( I think kids under 8 stay free at the hotel, which is great value)...... I am planning my next trip already.....The staff is very friendly and hardworking...... And one more thing bring a giant glass or a beer mug..... :)

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: GLAD I CHECKED OUT THIS RESORT

I was at this resort for the first time in May/June of this year for 2 weeks and decided to come again after 3 months. I read up on the reviews and the resort lived up to it's reputation of being very clean and very friendly staff. I've stayed in other more elegant resorts but I like the fact that you can be in with the local people the minute you step outside the Decameron gate. I like seeing Mexican families with 3 generations vacationing together. It is nice though to have the adults only  [... read more]pool for some peace and quiet. The food was very good with enough variety. With so many complaints in the reviews regarding the way they take reservations for the a la carte dining - I'm surprised they haven't changed the system. It would also be nice if they provide small fridges in the rooms, include the safety deposit box as part of the all inclusive arrangement and update the air conditioners as some are as loud as a truck running and you can feel the vibrations from units beside, above or below you. Overall though, it is a good resort and would definitely stay again.

Riu Vallarta: More than Amazing Resort!

We liked everything! Luxury ACCOMMODATIONS, features the most luxurious hotel rooms! The location of the hotel and amenities are the best! You can escape to the natural tranquility, beauty, and comfort!

Canto Del Sol: very friendly service

The Canto del Sol was pleasant. Food was good. The nightly shows lovely. They had some premium alcohol if that is important. I loved the pool. Location was very good as well. Cons: Only one bottle of water in the room per person and then you had to fill by the elevator; no guacamole (anywhere); used mix instead of real fruit in the drinks, otherwise was good

Hotel has changed for the worse since the last time we were here, air conditioning was not working, no privacy on the balcony. As you can see the people beside you. No coffee pot In the room, no shower holder for your shampoos and gels, not satisfied at all
