Gran Muthu Imperial: Amazing resort

This resort was amazing there is nothing bad to say about it. I had a great time and can't wait to go back . The staff were great and every where in the resort were very clean and well maintained The only issue I had was the wind blowing all the time lol

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Decent overall

Bathrooms were not kept up, often dirty, toilets plugged. Staff was overall friendly and helpful. I misplaced my phone and a staff member turned it in and I was very greatfull! It would have been nice to have beer in cans to take to beach and such which was not available at bars. Entertainment was very good with non-stop shows.

Hotel Mojito: Disappointment for an Iberostar brand hotel

Traveled to Cayo Coco from Dec 24-31, 2019. We are booked into a superior room, and the original room given, rm# 2214, had no electrical sockets that worked, TV didn't work, toilet flushed slowly, no toilet paper and empty mini fridge except for 1 bottle of water. There are not enough drawers for our clothes. I killed a big cockroach the very first night, so I had to make sure our bags were all zipped up. I thought I could just get someone to fix all these the next day. By morning, I had to [... read more] move to a new room! I tried to call front desk but no answer so I walked over and asked for a room change. I was told to wait for 20 minutes, but 3 hours later waiting in the room and still no one showed up. After 4 and a half hours of going back and forth to front desk, I finally told them I had a sick kid who needed to get some rest in a proper room was I able to get the key to move. The new room provided was great because everything was working!!! So my question is that if there was a room available that was fixed up, why give me a room that wasn't ready for occupancy in the first place?? The christmas eve food spread was ok. There was lobster, but that's the only thing to mention. The rest of the week was the same food. I have been to Cuba and know what to expect, but this time it was just way below the threshold of acceptable. There are a handful of people to give credit here: Leidys, Maidel, beach bar Roberto, morning server at the lobby bar and the lady server by the pool restaurant who always had a smile. I also have to mention that the onsite staff nurse was incredibly compassionate. With 2 girls sick at the beginning of our vacation, she was always checking on them, even came to our room the next evening to make sure the girls were ok. Cayo Coco is a beautiful beach, but I don't think I'll be staying at this resort again.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Beautiful Resort

The resort was gorgeous and very modern. Everything from the rooms, grounds, and restaurants were beautiful. We read reviews about there not being a beach in front, however if you walk to the left side, away from the sister (family) resort, there's a gorgeous beach. It is however a little rocky in some parts, though we were told that they are cleaning it up in the spring of 2020. Food at the buffet was plentiful and delicious in the morning, good at lunch, and sufficient in the evening. Seems there was more selection and variety in the morning. Definitely grab some bacon and take it to the grill station for them to crispy them up. Dinner at the buffet after day 2 became redundant with basically the same dishes, however going to the 24 hour snack bar mixed it up for us and was very good. We went on one excursion on our trip - the Jeep Safari which took us to the mountains through off-road trails where we had a horseback riding for an hour, then a trip to a small island for lunch, followed by a drive through the city of Moron to get to a farm IN the city (very unassuming to turn a corner in the city and arrive at a full-fledged farm!). The excursion was really good compared to other ones I've been on that were offered at resorts. A definite must is visit to Playa Pilar beach. It is absolutely breathtaking! The sand is a fine powdery white and the water a beautiful shade of turquoise. Check it out by taking a $5pp taxi or bus ride.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Relaxing, Friendly, Clean

The grounds had beautiful gardens, pool, ocean. The rooms are outdated but clean. Our room had the view of the large pool, the ocean from the patio and out the front door we had a beautiful garden. The sidewalks are currently being repaired which is a good thing as there are a lot of holes. WE have visited other hotels in Cuba and find the food is good here - except for the beef. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you require a flat surface to get around this is NOT the place for you - not wheelchair accessible.There are also renovations being done on about half the units in the resort. It is a small resort which is what we wanted. Had a great trip.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Great Vacation

My Husband and I visit Cuba at least once a year and this resort was one of the nicest, updated places we've stayed in. Rooms were clean, LOVED the Bathrooms! The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the food was good. Pools were beautiful, my favorite was the swim-up infinity pool. The beach is a bit rocky in areas but still gorgeous. Overall is was a great stay!

Gran Muthu Imperial: Great hotel

Great Ocean view enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel. Food was excellent staff amazing so friendly and efficient. One negative beach is not delopped yet but one further down . Would return in a year or 2.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great Value!

Big Resourt, well kept, friendly staff, great beach with white sand and shallow water. Two large pool areas for those who prefer pool, lots of space for everyone. Good place to go with big family and kids, or several couples, as we did. Changing rooms was not an issue. Very spacious, rooms. Second and third floor will have no bugs...heard bugs can get into the first floor. We had no issue. Food was not the greatest, but decent, as expected in Cuba, at times very overcrowded, so staff had a hard [... read more] time keeping control over things, but they would open a second dining hall. Great cheeses, shrimp night, good grilled chicken and fish..fresh fruit, good French fries by the beach - bring your own ketchup thou.:) Go for day trips /lunch to other Malia Resorts - take a voucher-at Reception, go on the double decker red bus.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Terrific resort!

This resort was beyond our expectations. Beautiful well maintained grounds, lots of entertainment, clean pools that were so inviting...lots of lounge chairs and the most friendly staff. The food was amazing...lots of variety and it was good! The beach had beautiful white sand and clear blue water. Wouldn't hestitate to return. Thanks Tripcentral for recommending this resort...right on the money.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: 10 Day Getaway

My husband and I just returned from this resort Sunday. We stayed in the Diamond Club section. Our room was the nicest we have ever had as this was our third time to Cuba. We had the best view of the beautiful ocean, not to mention the two second access to the beach with the bar and the BBQ hut, also a bonus. However, we were not happy with the A La Cartes. My husband was very happy with the variety of meat. Nothing comes out piping hot but we were just glad to not have to cook. The resort is well laid out and is the perfect size. The pools were the cleanest that we have seen as well. We found the staff to be very friendly, just lovely. All in all we would return to Memories Flemenco.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Friendly staff

The resort is a good size. Easy to get around. Our bungalow room 4002 was spacious and comfy. Food was just ok and was as expected for Cuba. Not great but we certainly didnt go hungry. Its Cuba. Deal with it and appreciate the hard work the staff puts in.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Quaint resort

If your looking for a quiet resort this is the one, the resort is relaxing and peaceful. if your looking to party, head to the pool bar and pool for music, games, and drinks. The lobby bar, sports bar & cigar shop become a social fest after dinner and entertainment. All the bars close at 11pm with the exception of the 24hr snack bar ( party usually moves to the snack bar). Food was great there are many stations and selections, you will not go hungry. the snack bar is also great for those late night meals after drinking. the beach is nice, not busy or over crowded just make sure to keep an eye on your towels. there wasn't anything to really complain about, nothing really negative.I would recommend this to a friend, and probably will return the next time i plan on visiting.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Absolutley amazing, Incredibly comfortable!

This resort is absolutely amazing , the entertainment is Impeccable and the people are absolutely beautiful souls! Favourite place in the world, beaches are beautiful and the resort is very clean! Always had a beautiful view from my room of the beautiful ocean! I would recommend this resort over and over again!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great time.

Stayed from Jan. 12 to 19. My wife and I enjoyed the beach and the food was above average( for cuba) Would definitly return to cayo coco memories caribe. A solid 4 star. Service was great, rooms beautiful and always something going on with the entertainment team

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Hotel Playa Paraiso

This resort was fantastic and in a very good location, food was good, employees were very helpful with anything you needed, the rooms were very clean. Beach was nice and blue, would definately go back to this resort. I think the best thing i liked was this resort was only a 15 minute ride from the airport i used to always go to Cayo Santa Maria but do not like the long bus ride.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: January vacation with children

We really enjoyed ourselves at this resort. This is our 8th time in Cuba. This resort is ranked 4* stars, and comparing to other 4* stars I think it meets that for Cuba, or exceeds it in some areas. People are so helpful and probably the nicest so far in any resort, place is clean and run well. WE had a lot of wind since it is a winter there now, so big waves, but the beach is nice, and you can walk for miles. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We would go again to this resort considering the value, location, beach and people. Our children (10 and 15) had a great time too. Gran Muthu Imperial: Wonderful resort!

Grounds are well maintained. Public areas are airy, furniture well-placed, and front desk manned all the time. Hotel room is spacious and adequately equipped with a huge bed, along with other furniture such as desk, table, chairs and a large wicker lounger! The services are excellent and attendants are friendly, thoughtful! Foods and drinks are plenty to choose from. the beach is close by and clean!

Hotel Camino del Mar: Exactly what we paid for

We recently returned from a week at the Melia Cayo Guillermo. Although there were some small issues when we arrived we had a great time. We arrived in the morning so our room was not ready right away - not an issue. When we got to our room the door would not open - it was stuck due to swelling of the wood as the air conditioning was not working properly, our safe did not work and while our toilet flushed it was insufficient to flush properly and required multiple flushes. We reported these is [... read more]sues to guest services. The air conditioning was fixed right away and the door and safe were fixed the next day. Apparently the toilet was worked on but it continued to malfunction the rest of the week however, was not an issue. We had no other issues with our room the rest of the week, it was comfortable and clean. One issue we had with the resort was the public washrooms. In the pool bar women's washroom the toilets did not flush at all. All of the women's washrooms were out of paper by the end of the day and were not refilled until much later the next morning. In two of the men's washrooms the urinals were not functioning. Surprisingly, except for 1 day, there was no bread at lunch or dinner, only breakfast. We found the resort itself beautiful, very picturesque. We found the food good but the buffet was repetitive with very little variety day to day or even meal to meal. Like everywhere else in Cuba that we have been too, the staff at the resort are wonderful. If you are unfamiliar with Cuban resorts I would not recommend this resort for your first visit. We have been to Cuba 18 times and are very familiar with the issues most resorts have to deal with. Our expectations were not high as the price was very, very reasonable. All in all it was a pleasant vacation

Sol Cayo Coco: Great Beach

Very nice beach, both water-wise and sand-wise. Trip to Pilar Beach was also fun. Food was so-so but so is all of Cuba I hear. Very nice staff. I'd go back, given the low price and good value-for-money.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Awesome resort and staff!

Everything was perfect. One of our rooms didn't have proper air conditioning and they got a new one the next day. They were very accommodating for our party of 10. Food was good even if your a Vegan. It was very windy for the entire trip, which was ok to me. It was fun in the ocean and you could still jump off at the end of the pier for a quick dip. It was a long walk to the beach though. All in all I give it a 10 and would recommend this resort and would return, no hesitations.
