Sol Turquesa Beach: Beautiful resort

This was the most beautiful resort I visited so far. (I have been in Cuba 19 times to 3,3 1/2 and 4 star hotels).We stayed 2 weeks. The hotel is in a hill, surrounded by nature, very well treated gardens and trees, with view to the ocean. The swimming pools are in layers, connecting each other by a small waterfall (that is wonderful for a free back massage). We used multip [... read more]le times since we had a toddler and an elder in our group. The people is nice and friendly. Every place is very clean. We had only 1 small problem that was notified by the hotel and solved asap. The food is good enough, although I think there is potential to be better, it is just a matter of preparation/ presentation . You can always find something for your taste. They have fish, chicken, pork and beef in all meals, also hamburgers , hot dogs and pizza and pasta. Simple salads and more sophisticated like salmon, seafood salad and artichoke. Dry fruits, fresh fruits. Lots of sweets and ice cream for dessert. It is impossible to not find something that you like. The beach is beautiful, clear natural white sand, lots of shade, very secure for children...no waves since it is surrounded by reefs. The bar by the beach also good enough. You can eat snacks by the beach if you don't want to go to the restaurant. The entertainment group is good, I have to tell they work non-stop by the beach and swimming pool. We watched only 3 shows and were good. We also tried the "a la carte" restaurants and we liked a lot . All restaurants had live music . Specially the romantic restaurant has an amazing group playing more classic traditional instruments. They even played a special request from us. In the Italian restaurant we had a delicious seafood soup. I recommend. The buffet also serves plenty of fruits according the season... the mangos were delicious at this point of the year. We also had a birthday celebration in our family and the hotel prepared a small surprise for dinner time ( at request ). Also by one of the swimming pools you can get ice cream for the "kids". I would come back to this resort. I only can say we had a wonderful time.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing beach!

The hotel is an older one and it is showing it's age. The beach and staff makes up for the it. This hotel is remote so there isn't a lot of activities close by so be prepared to travel up to 2hrs to get to any activities. And bring strong bug spray or cover up after 6pm.

Memories Paraiso: Good Resort

Overall the resort is ok. There are a lot of things that can be improved. The entertainment staff is amazing and make the whole experience so much fun! There are other things however such as the dirty pool, bugs in room and lack of variety in food which make the resort just ok. There were some minor improvements in food from the last time I went a few months ago. The entertainment makes the resort enjoyable!!!!

Memories Paraiso: Memories Hotel

The hotel was ok but we weren't happy with the roches we found in our rooms. The food was not that good. And it was always the same things every night. But we enjoyed the entertainment staff they were always nice and happy and on the go all the time. We want to say hey to Rosbel, Andy, Victor, Anna in the kids club and our bartenders Ray and other. But over all we had a great time and made memories that we took back with us.

Cleanest and most beautiful resort I have been to. The view is mind blowing. The staff are kind and so willing to please regardless of tipping. I actually did an experiment during our visit. To prove wrong all reviews about staff only serving well w tips our family of 5 did not tip for 12 days. On the 13th and 14th day we tipped all staff that served us amazingly for the entire two weeks we were there. Majority didnt even want to accept it or were in tears. There was also available lobster, shrimp and other items dinner at a cost of 10 cuc every day at beach and pool. We tried it and was great, way below cost and a definite steal. Honestly we dont understand how such an amazing resort could offer such good deals given the quality of service they offer! Will return for sure! We had read many reviews about the stairs and how not good for #elderly and #small children. Biggest lie ever. They have 4 golf carts running 24 hrs. The amazing cart riders took us with a smile everywhere ( had an 87 y/o and a 3 y/o in group) and only took 5 mins each time. This was consistent through 2 weeks of stay. All amenities worked and were above satisfactory. Even though residents in Cuba have to wait 2 weeks for water supplies all hotel guests had plenty running water (hot and cold) to splurge. I personally took hot showers 3 times a day w no issues. A/c was so cold that sometimes we had to turn it off during the night (during the summer!) Needless to say this is an amazing gorgeous resort which we will most definitely return to! Anyone in general going to Cuba from Canada or any other first world countries should really arrive during the day to constrast the amazing job done at resorts vs what Cubans endure each day. I encourage all travellers to continue to visit the friendliest people I have ever met, safest place in all of caribbean, but also keep in mind that staff serving you have much harder circunstances to deal with than your regular joe. People in Cuba dont have easy access to clothing, toiletries, toys, over the counter medication. Rather than giving them $5 as a tip take these items used or not to gift. They will be forever thankful. MEMORIES is amazing. Go and enjoy. If i could criticize anything it would be the entertainment team. They are very young and cater for kids to very young adults. I saw so many adults in 2 weeks never approached once. They tend to entertain themselves more than actual guests which is unfortunate. Bands at night were fantastic but night shows super weak. Overall 4 stars for sure!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Fine Resort

The resort is well kept, rooms clean, activities interesting and enjoyable, the beach is above average, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is quite good with a lot of variety. I would recommend this resort.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Not bad

Was great but the food was bad.. but the beach and pool was awosome. Serves there is good.. room was clean... but its not for singles.. its for family and couples.. .

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Very good resort

The hotel itself is a bit older and not as luxurious as we are used to it is fine. Everything worked fine a/c and toilets were working. And if you needed anything extra the staff was very helpful. The pool and the beach were awesome! The entertainment crew was Great! The food was good and had quite a bit of variety! All in all we were happy with are holiday !

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Aris is the BEST!

The resort was pretty good for a Cuban resort. There was plenty of food at all times. The A La Carte restauranta were all good with the exception being the italian one. I would stay away from the Italian a la carte if you are planning a visit. While we were there we spent time at the swim up bar with our favorite bar tender Aris. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing Resort!!!

I spent a week at Memories Caribe Beach Resort and had a wonderful time. Great beach - water is shallow, clear and warm, good food and great staff- shout out to Jordan- gardener, Eiden Aquatics, Carlos Manager, Leodanys for great Omlettes, Barbara - souvenir shop and Ilen for entertainment and Alex front desk. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, from the rooms to the dining and the facilities, snack bars it was great. The entertainment was superb, in addition to the theater which had great singers the resort also had activities and singers by the pool, the piano bar was great from the guitarist to the pianist to the sax player they sure had us occupied for the evening . The only thing I found bad was the WiFi, we were not able to contact family members for 2 days and other days it took a while to be c [... read more]onnected. Also a couple of days you had no pizza, as after 3 o'clock the dining area is closed. Overall the vacation was great and dining staff were always there in an instant to clear the tables and help you in any way.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: We definitely will be back!

Me and my 2 friends just got home from Sanctuary Grand Memories this Sunday and couldn't be more happier with how amazing everything was. Great service, amazing staff, overall everything went super well for us and we highly recommend any first time travellers to Sanctuary Grand Memories. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Good place to relax

The place was moderately clean, well-maintained. The staff are nice, the food is decent. Daily entertainment was not good, However, the show at night was better. There's not much of dancing for younger people though.

We spent the week of July 24th to 31st, 2017, at this hotel, building one, second floor, ocean view. Overall I liked this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The rooms were spacious and always kept clean, and the air conditioning made me sigh in relief each time I walked into the room. The maids were very nice and helpful, extra pillow, no problem!! The pool was large, clean and beautiful. The grounds were well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. There would be a few additions that would help it immensely. Firstly, a purchase of some ceiling fans. I appreciate that we're in a really hot country, but the buffet sometimes was too hot to enjoy your meal. Ceiling fans would help in there so much. Secondly, being a smoker on the balcony, a handle on the outside of the balcony door would be helpful. The air conditioning in the room was fantastic but caused condensation on the outside of the door, making it impossible to open from the outside. The food was okay. I did not starve. I'm not a big seafood eater, so there was a lot I didn't partake in. The pasta bar (and the pasta maker) kept me full all week. He did this with a gigantic smile on his face, although the sweat was just dripping off him. Also enjoyed the breakfast, omelette spot was good, line ups not bad. This chef again did it with a smile on his face and a shimmy to his egg flipping. I would go back there again!

Hotel was build in 2003 and it's in good shape. Pools are amazing and well maintaned. Beach is beautifull with constant breeze but devided to two classes:regular with plastic chairs and Diamond with nice and comfortable streached canvas.However you can use any part of beach but not the chairs. We had friends using nice one and had a chance to see it. Main restaurant buffet is open one with lots of cats running through it and birds steeling pieces of food. No one cared about that. Food was typical cuban options; you can always find something you like but not so many choices. They serve bbq lobster at the beach for 10 cuc with french fries and salad. A la carte restaurants are the best choice for dinner. We are not so picky about food and didn't eat too much. There is 24 hrs choice of burger, pizza or sandwich. There is the great doctor at the resort that cure our kid skin issue in few days with provided topical. We tried the same thing in Canada with antibiotics and creams for months. Doctor service and drugs he gave us cost us 82 US$. It included drops for pink eye( also gone within 2 days) and full check up with the shut for fever. We returened for check up following day with kid totally recovered. Awesome! We made a few trips but it was too hot to enjoy them in jungle, rather pick ocean trips; catamaran ,diving or deep sea fishing. We enjoyed the time there, filled our bodies with energy and came back tanned.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fantastic Beach!

Our room was not ready by 4pm. Room towels were disgusting with stains. Bedsheets, pillow cases and blankets were smelly. Our soft drinks were refilled daily except for one day where they ran out. The cooked vegetables at the buffet were always over cooked. The rice were under cooked. Their pina colada drinks were powdery. The food at the snack bar was great! Sol Turquesa Beach: Would not recommend

We were travelling as a family of four - 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was standard for Cuba, but very uncomfortable beds. I mean springs digging into your back uncomfortable. They give you one 1.5L bottle of water in your room per day and nothing more. The pools were the best part of the resort. Four pools gave the kids the option of where they wanted to hang out for the day. The people are nice as usual, but the service was very slow and inefficient. Sometimes you would get your drinks (water  [... read more]and alcoholic) right away or you would have to wait even when it wasn't busy. The food was good, but not the best I've had in Cuba. Mainly because there wasn't a large selection. The entertainment included many talented dancers and performers, but they weren't very engaging. There were no kids activities or kids shows which we were looking forward to and was part of the reason for choosing this resort over others. We had a great trip as a family, but this is not a resort I would return to or recommend to a friend.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Cuba Solo 2017

Beach was beautiful. Service was excellent. Pool and the grounds were nice. Food was good. Options to travel to clubs, a club on site would be more convenient however, this setup is what I prefer. I can go to a club back home and the option is available there, it just differs the socializing experience having it off site. Shows/activities were entertaining. They were as inclusive as you choose to make them and the staff made good cases when convincing you to participate.
