Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Time

The hotel is about 50 mins to 1hr 10mins from Tulum Airport. We stayed at bldg 24A and were close to lobby, a la carte and buffet restaurants. Secondary pool, no entertainment, was right beside us which we liked as quiet and relaxing and lots of chairs to choose from around the pool. The beach is a 10-15mins walk or a short golf cart ride away. Look for the white/blue chairs on beach beside the small dock. Food was great for us, but everyone has different tastes. We did the Mashua Nikkei, Le Gourmet and Mikado a la carte and they were all delicious in my opinion. Manuel at the teppanyaki show was great! Will definitely look to staying here again of visiting Mexico in future.

Riu Vallarta: I loved it

Grand Oasis Cancun: Don’t go!

As you know my partner and I just returned from the Grand oasis, Cancun. From the departure to the arrival. It was complete garbage. We were unable to sit next to each other. Getting to cancun international was another 3 hour fiasco. Our luggage and lines were overwhelming. Upon arriving, it was desk after desk before anyone knew who we were. Getting there so late in the evening we basically lost a day of our trip. The next 5 days were disastrous rain and cold. The rain prevented us from even be [... read more]ing able to leave room as the hotel was flooding from every direction. Nobody could guide us as to what to do when our actual room was filling with water. Our room fridge was without water or beverage. We made countless, countless calls to front desk regarding the situation as the entire resort was too wet to walk anywhere. And the same answer from their end was carried on throughout the 7 days “we don’t have that information “ we reached out many times to the Sunwing rep and the same answer “we don’t have the information, we will put in a request for you.” Our blue wristbands were so limited that we felt we were just defeated and stuck to one place. Every day at any hour the line ups and nowhere to sit while we waited left us starving daily. The lines for drinks and the poor service at the buffets or anywhere for that matter was a huge upset. Nobody seemed to want to look after us unless we were Mexican. The entertainment was canceled many nights due to rain. And even then while heading downtown from hotel, the taxi rates changed daily. We were totally ripped off. On day it was $300 pesos to go downtown the next day it was $200 pesos. And this happened everywhere. When we actually did get into the restaurant. We were never ever ever served by a server. And when we would go up to get food, someone else would be sitting in our seats. And there would be nowhere at all for us to sit. We ended up having to buy all of our own booze as we couldn’t stand for longer than 45min at a time any longer. And also going away from resort to get food. Nothing at the day snack bar was labeled. And it seemed that we just couldn’t get a decent meal anywhere. On the last 2 days the sun came out. For 20 min. At this point our entire beach was washed away. Tiki huts, lifeguard stands and all. And it was all blocked off and we couldn’t access the beach from anywhere else. The amount of randoms coming basically to our room to sell us “vapes and drugs” was disgusting. Where was the security?!!!! We felt so unsafe and completely harassed. All we wanted to do was leave. When we got on the shuttle to go home. We both started feeling car sick due to all The stops the bus made from other resorts. We had to get off and take our own taxi. Upon boarding, we couldn’t sit together again!!!! And sat on the tarmac for over an hour. No apology. Nothing. When in flight, the smell of vomit was overwhelming. From the 15 people on board that were puking!! Arriving into Canada was horrendous as it was another 1.5 hours waiting for luggage. Now that we are home my partner Ryan has a full body rash and the dr has told us it has come from the sheets from the hotel.. we are so disgusted by this trip and the lack of service or care. Never ever ever again. We are looking for some compensation as it’s heart breaking how much extra money we spent at a fake all inclusive resort! Please reach out to us.. we have nothing but horrors left in our hearts from this trip..

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Would not recommend

Honestly, don't go here. The customer service is beyond horrible. The resort is pretty clean, but overall experience wasn't great. We went for my brothers 40th birthday, and the first day we arrived they said they would provide him with a complimentary cake and champagne on his actual birthday. They never did this. So I went back to customer service and politely told them they didn't bring the cake and champagne, and now that his birthday had passed there was no need to do it but I wanted them  [... read more]to know they dropped the ball. The man apologized and said he would make sure they delivered the cake and champagne the following night - guess what? They forgot again. The people working there are not helpful, a little rude. The cleaning staff is nice. Our room was clean but when we first arrived there was not a single towel in our room, or garbage can, the remote's batteries were dead, no steamer in the steamer basket. I called and they brought me all the items (except the steamer, we never got this) but not a good first impression. The app is horrible, so good luck trying to make dinner reservations. It's always missing certain activities on the app, but we would walk by the main pool and see something going on, but it wasn't listed in the app. Anyway, overall I'm glad my brother had a good time but I wouldn't go back to this resort.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: 2025 Cabo

Third time staying at the Krystal Grand and they continue to provide great service. The staff are very keen on supporting guests. The facility is well maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. Restaurants were first come first served with very good food.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Pretty good

It’s decent resort for the money you spend. Rooms are basic but everything was functional and clean. We stayed closer to the beach m, which we loved. The grounds are well kept and there are lots of activities during the day for those interested. Food was basic but good quality and you could always find something decent. It’s super close to Bucerías town centre which is such a great way to shake it up, roam around and eat authentic local food if you’re sick of all inclusive. The beach is beautiful and stretches out into each direction. The ocean is not your crystal clear turquoise paradise water, but clean. There are sting rays and water snakes to watch out for but it didn’t stop us from swimming every day. Shuffle your feet when you’re walking into the ocean to avoid stepping on anything. Very close to Puerta Vallarta for city exploration, excursions, whale watching and La Caletas coast visits (highly recommend).

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Was ok

Could use some serious tlc. Rooms were big and bright but rough (chairs were stained, couch was stained). Bathroom was big but needs some tlc as well. All of the sit down restaurants had “toddler” size meals so was really disappointed. Buffet was good and had lots of selection. No bottled water other than in room so that was weird. More like a 3* Hotel.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Not bad… Not great

Shuttles are tricky with this very large resort. No schedule at the stops, so it’s hit or miss. Food was lukewarm at best most of the time at the buffets. A la cartes were very good. Staff are incredibly nice and efficient. Lots of chairs at pools and beach. Never a problem there. Jacuzzi in our room was stained dirty. No amount of cleaning would fix it. Refused to use it. Ground right in. Bathroom sink fixtures same way. Main room though where bed is was spotless. Entertainment was no [... read more]t bad. Not great, but it was ok.

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Great resort if you have kids

This is a resort full of lots to do for kids, water park, lazy river & activities. But beware that a lot of things are at an extra charge! (Trampoline, mini putt, wave rider, etc). I was travelling with a group that had kids, but no kids of my own therefore I looked at the resort through adult eyes. Food at buffet was ok, not great and drinks were decent but not amazing. Just felt like  [... read more]everything was a bit of a money grab, lots of ‘add ons’ and ‘extras’ available but it will cost you -be sure to ask the price before you upgrade your steak for example- $90 USD for a ribeye instead of the strip steak that was actually on the menu. Beach is very nice & not too far from airport. Personally wouldn’t go back, want to feel like I’m in Mexico, felt more like a theme park in Florida. Lastly, didn’t know until we got there that the huge swim up bar & 1 restaurant were closed for renos while we were there, so really brought down service at the main pool.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: We love this resort

This was our 4th time in Puerto Vallarta and 4th time at this resort. We wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to help you have a great time! We spent most of our time in the adult only area which was perfect for us. This is a smaller, quieter resort. If you are looking for lots of party-like events, The Friendly Fun is not for you.

Riu Dunamar: Riu Dunamar is exceptional

The hotel grounds were immaculate and cleaned numerous times daily. It was unbelievably clean. The beach is fantastic, no seaweed, very very nice, soft sand. The hotel staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The food was also very good and had something for everyone. It's about 25 minutes north of Cancun Airport, so taxi's or Uber's are needed to get to activities inside Cancun city. Its very close to Isla Mujeres for any snorkeling adventures or day trips. Riu Duna [... read more]mar had nightly entertainment for all ages. There are several pools and the Spa inside the hotel has a hot tub available for adults. 4.5/5 is my rating. Was quite happy with it. We had a party of 13 and everyone left happy.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful resort!

This resort is beautiful maintained landscape. The pool is very clean and the staff are always there to make sure no glasses or garbage are laying around. There are always many available chairs around the pool which provide sun or shade. The only complaint that I have is that it is quite a walk to the beach. If you have small children or mobility issues you must take the trolley. If you are looking for a wide sandy beach this is not the place for you. Once in the water you better have wat [... read more]er shoes. It is rocky and uneven. Since it is almost always rough, you cannot see the bottom to look where you are stepping.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort

This resort is amazing. Very clean, afforadable, staff is friendly and will assist with your stay any way they can. Entertainment is top notch. Kid friend. Beach is beautiful. Pools are amazing. This is our 2nd time here and we are going back next year.

Riu Flamingos: Great resort

Very clean, grounds lovely, food was excellent. Rooms are older but kept in great condition. I would go back to this resort again! Lots of room around the pools and beach easy to find lounge chairs. The beach is large and beautiful. Staff is very hardworking and friendly.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Sandos Caracol Eco Family Resort

Arriving to the resort was organized & efficient, Rooms were clean, but shelving was non existent in our room. The adults only reception was a pleasant place to go for coffee, drinks & treats. The “hot tub” wasn’t heated, it was jacuzzi style. We experienced rain a few days $ the thatched roof needed repair in many areas of the resort. The toilet was a standard, yet in the family suites had chair height toilets I would have expected better wifi service in room, they tried to repair quickly but I [... read more] couldn’t connect. A jr suite to my mind has a king bed, a couch, table, chairs. Our room had 2 queen beds, 1 chair & a desk. Being able to watch my grandkids at the water park was a treat & they were repairing & painting in the area to keep it fresh & fun.,Food at every restaurant was fabulous, the reservations not accommodating- after midnight - the day of. For our group of 12 it took coordination! Marco Diaz & Jose Rico from guest services were exceptional!!

Occidental Tucancun: not what i hoped for

The hotel room was great, employees were pushy trying to sell time share(or as they call it holiday package). The food was the same all the time and only warm at best whether you got there at opening or later. Had to ask 2nd evening to get our room cleaned and only one towel left after they clean.

Occidental Tucancun: Not all that great

The room was beautiful and clean. Most of the waiters were great the waitress were lacking. They could only bring one coffee then ignored you for the rest of the meal. The food was the worst I have ever had. It was mostly cold and always the same. We had bacon only once in 7 days and it was burnt. If people are looking for decent meals pass by this place. Definitely not worth the cost or time.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Second time there food was better than last time service was not .

We had an issue with our room they would not do anything to rectify it for us . Buffet service was definitely hit and miss . Food was good service was definitely not . Our room was also missing towels toilet paper etc multiple times .

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Fabulous holiday!

This hotel was amazing. 1. The food at the buffet was surprisingly good. I never put much stock in buffets, but the ones we attended had lots of variety. Wait staff were terrific - especially Julio and Monika at the main buffet. 2. The grounds were beautiful. They are very well maintained and tidy. We were able to walk for several kilometers each day. 3. Our rooms were perfect. Cleaning and towel replacement was well done each day (thanks Manuela!!) We were only able to have 2 a la cartes - Mexican (Pueblito Lindo) and Italian (Restaurante Tonino) - both were magnificent!

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Great family vacation!

We had a great time. There is plenty to do at this resort. The food was good, we liked the break wall at the beaches for the kids safety, multiple pool options, vibe city and the water park were great! The kids loved seeing some of the wild life around the resort. The staff were friendly. My only complaint would be the room. It was small for a family and no sitting area. There is a big Jacuzzi tub in the room which the kids tried to use one night and I'm guessing it's not used often bec [... read more]ause black stuff started coming out of the jets. We did request a higher floor level through trip central but ended up on the ground floor. We had a few nights of bad sleep with people hanging out in the hallways in the open air entry by our room. It might be a trip central thing but we also let them know we were celebrating birthdays while there one being my son but no ribbon on the door like we seen throughout the resort on other doors. The teppanyaki place was the best. My kids loved sitting at the grill and trying to catch food in their mouth. Thankfully they came around and asked if there were any celebrations so my son was surprised with a cupcake and candle. My husband loved going to the rock band experience. I did the hydrotherapy at the spa which was amazing. Overall a great vacation! We will be back to the Hard Rock
