Ocean El Faro: Resort was ok

I personally would not go back or recommend this resort to my family or friends .The lack in customer service, miserable and unhelpful staff made the experience not so pleasant but regardless we still made the best of it. Beach was not nice ,noticed lots of garbage around but then again that’s the tourist leaving mess and the staff could only do so much. Food was ok both a la cartes and buffet . Again it’s the service , so many servers walking but nothing happening and we had to constantly wave someone down to even get a glass of water and tipping does not change that. Rooms were ok but I wouldn’t recommend upgrading , they charge a lot and the rooms don’t look any different anyway. Their lobby was beautiful

Riu Republica: Party hotel

Hotel itself was very clean, most of the staff they are helpful and nice. The only complaint was the room keys always not working. And my room more close to the beach, so I need to back and forth few times to the front desk. Beach was amazing and lot of chairs and shade area under palm trees. Room was decent. VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: You get what you paid for

Quiet hotel, entertainment non existent, so not noisy at night, food is decent (no stomach issues), buffet style, no a la carte restaurants, presentation is lacking, but quality is good, alcohol options are very limited, rooms are good, AC works well, one time power was off but they fixed it fast, safe is separate charge $2 per day for the lock, staff works around the clock, always on time, keeping place clean and well maintained, there are ongoing repairs on the ground but they are not disrupti [... read more]ng, the beach is sand but it is partially destroyed and seaweed in the sea makes it less enjoyable than it could be, it was raining every day, massage $50, it is a good idea to bring sunscreen and burn reliefs and other meds with you as options to buy are limited and prices are steep.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Feels so cozy...

Majestic Colonial feels like a real vacation... Resort and staff make for a very relaxing and comfortable stay... Beach is beautiful... Food/Restaurant selection is great... Relaxing home away from home...

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: False Rating :(

This hotel advertised being a four star but it was more like a one star. The dining hall was not enclosed so it was hot. The food was not covered so there were flies on it especially the fruit. I ended up getting sick and I’m still sick now. The beach had algae all over so it was hard to swim or we couldn’t swim at all. We couldn’t even walked in/near the algea because of the many flies and garage in it. Clearly the place is run down. We saw men fixing the roof when we arrived. The pool had chi [... read more]pped paint and looked cheap. The toilet paper holder kept dropping down. The shower water was rarely hot. We were very disappointed for the money we paid and couldn’t relax. Because I got sick I was scared to drink the water. The overall feeling we got is that this resort gave up and will close down soon. I believe we should be reimbursed somewhat because we paid for a higher quality service and got less. When we tried to talk to the staff about the beach they just passed us off the the manager who wasn’t even there. Had the beach been swimammbe and the the food been healthy I would’ve dealt with the rest of the problems, but having a lingering illness due to this hotel’s unsanitarianess is unacceptable. Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Bad resort. I don't recommend!

We stayed at the BahiaPrincipe Grand la Romana resort in Dominican from June 7 to June 14 and it was a bad experience. Initially, we were upset that it was impossible to swim in the sea. There are a lot of wasps on the beach. There is almost no entertainment for children, only one small pool and a playground that was often closed. The staff barely speaks English. Our air conditioner broke on the first night, but it was fixed the next day. When my four-year-old son stepped on a snake, we wer [... read more]e shocked. It was a miracle she didn't bite him. My son somehow jumped back very quickly and we were lucky. When I tried to find out what kind of snake it was, whether it was poisonous or not, and whether there were many of them here, they ignored me with smiles. Near the pool, someone took one of our towels, and when I came to the reception desk about this, the woman standing there in a rude and dissatisfied manner said that it was our responsibility to take care of the towel and wanted us to pay for it. But in the end, she was very dissatisfied and gave us a new card. In the bars, the bartenders also spoke almost no English and always had dissatisfied faces. We often had to wait a long time for our drink or sometimes were simply ignored. The day before departure, we went to the reception to find out when they would come for us, but there they told us that they didn’t know anything and it was our concern and they told us to find out for ourselves. As a result, on the day of departure, in a panic, we began to look for someone to take us to the airport and were ready to take a taxi, but thanks to Belboy, thank you very much, we found our driver. We spent a lot of nerves. And the worst thing is that our children, 4 and 2 years old, contracted scabies there. We had to immediately rush to the hospital upon arriving home. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not go there again.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Beautiful Resort!

This is a beautiful hotel on a perfect beach with a wonderful large pool and thr best service anyone could ask for. Easy to find your way around and lots to see and do. Has something for everyone. Laid out nicely for the adults section as well.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Renewed Love of traveling!

We never do reviews but we had such an amazing time we thought we had to! The GOOD…. Service was better than we could have asked for! The BAD…. The resort is a little dated and can use some tile work but extremely clean and well kept. The AMAZING…. FOOD!! Buffet was awesome morning noon and night and the snack bar always had fresh fruit, burgers, fries, dogs and some of the best chicken wings!! You will want to go back. We do and we will!!

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Nice Resort

Just spent 2 weeks at this resort. We liked it and would go back again. It's quiet with not much night life so if you're looking to party this place is not for you. I will say the pools are the cleanest I've ever seen. Grounds are nice and well kept. Rooms are nice and air works well. If you have mobility issues it's perfect since everything is close together. Food is okay, hit and miss with some but you'll still find enough to eat. Hair dryers in Rooms are not very powerful so bring your  [... read more]own. Pillows are crap and could use changing. They are odd sizes and not your typical pillow. Staff were friendly and accommodating however some servers couldn't speak any English. Plenty of chairs available and spread out nicely. If you're looking for a small, quiet, clean resort you'll enjoy it.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Not as expected

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We had a leak in bathroom first day and we're here with a 9 month old on our first trip. I had to call 5 times and still the problem wasn't rectified. I had to call a 6th time and yell and swear at them to eventually get a room change. The pools and beach are all nice, but the customer service is rated at zero stars if I could rate it. We also ordered room service as with a baby it is difficult to always go out to grab food, ordered lunch and still 2 hours lat [... read more]er, nothing arrived to the room. We have been on multiple all inclusive resorts, and this has by far been the worst experience ever in terms of customer service. I expected much more from this resort. I never leave reviews, but this resort has made me do so.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: 3/5 Stars

I was on this trip for my sister’s bachelorette trip. We had 9 guests total and 4 rooms. My sister (the bride) and I had the smallest room with our friends being upgraded to suites, and one room was even in the VIP area. The resort is smaller than most. There are a lot of children and families and no adult-only areas. The food was as you would expect. The staff was unhelpful. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: It’s ok I wouldn’t say Amazing, I would not recommend.

We stayed on El Beso adult side.The Hotel and the grounds are beautiful and the swim up room was the best. The cleaning Lady did a super job on our room. That’s probably because we used to leave a couple of $$ and a present representing Canada every day. We tipped wherever we went. On the Ocean del Faro side there’s a beautiful water park and lazy river for the kids. If you don’t get this service you’ll have a hard time booking it yourself. I would have to get up early in the morning and stand in line on El Marcodo to get time like 8:30. They keep the best times for people that pays for the prestige service. There is a hotel app. I tried to book between 6 to 7:30. and every time there was no spaces available. Not unless you’re ok with having supper by 9 or 9:30pm. The Specialty restaurants are not that great. The steakhouse the steaks were like rubber. The Italian restaurant was not that great. I got a lot of pasta and about 6 shrimps. The salmon was good. It’s the same food everyday. Be careful not to fall for one of those time share packages. Two times I was approached to attend a meeting, they were offering my wife a free massage package. Please don’t fall for that trap. You’ll never get out. It’s all about the money they will try to get every $ out of you. I could go on and on. I would not recommend this resort.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Good resort

All swim out rooms are on the ground floor and cost extra. Floors 2 & 3 are regular rooms. Having said that elevators don’t always work so beware if you are looking for handicap access. Not reliable. Check in seems unorganized. Rooms generally not ready till 6pm. Other than that the resort is good.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Family vacation

We had a good experience in this hotel, great food and amazing staff. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean and excellent service. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Negative: jellyfish in the beach

Ocean Blue and Sand: Fantastic Resort!

This resort is excellent in many ways. The rooms are very nice and clean, the grounds are well maintained and the staff are always there to help you if needed. The food is the very best we have had at any resort! There is a wide selectin of menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is very tasty and of very good quality. It is always hot and staff will assist you if you are looking for something specific. There is champagne for breakfast and wine for the other meals. The resort is very lar [... read more]ge so lots of walking but there is a tram/shuttle running every 15 minutes to take you to any part of the resort. The pools are beautiful and well maintained and there are lots of activities. The beach is very nice for both swimming and walking. There are several resorts around when you walk on the beach so you are not alone. The resort is very well laid-out so all of the restaurants and shopping is very central on the boulevard. The Lobby is huge and the center of entertainment activities. The theater, bowling alley, casino, Mike's Coffee and Ice Cream Parlor are all adjacent to the Lobby. There is an excellent variety of entertainment, every night and the Piano Bar is the best! Many children activities all day long, so they cater to every age group. There was a rock band one night and excellent Tenors another night. Other types of music was also played for everyone's enjoyment. The Blue Team is very good and try to engage all guests to have a good time. You will truly like this resort!!

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Amazing experience

I love everything about the resorts:) Friendly employees and very accommodating. My fridge is always stocked up and my room is always clean:). My only comment is the water park for the kids are a little dirty other than that this place has a lot to offer! definitely will come back again soon.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

Very clean resort , well kept. Friendly staff. Lots available restaurants , buffet with a different theme each night and lots of variety in terms of food choices. Lots of Day and night time entertainment for everyone to join in . Safe and the proximity the beach is quite close walkable.
