Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Very Nice/Friendly

The rooms were very clean and tidy. Bathrm though very serviceable could have had better lighting We did enjoy the fact that the restaurants etc were all centralized and easily accessible. Pools terrific and the bar service good considering there was an overlap of guest's one or two days which made it difficult a few times to get a drink...The elevators, though were not used with frequency were rather in need a repair, the stairwells needed cleaning and paint. The front desk staff kind and helpful as well as the in lobby bartenders were very obliging with requests. Overall we had a lovely holiday and great memories were made. Thanks

Ocean Coral by H10: Good resort some issues

The resort itself was really nice - the rooms were well kept and clean. However the restaurants were difficult to eat at (they don't allow reservations but what they don't tell you is that you have to wait in line up to an hour to put your name on a list - yet it's not a reservation - just to be told you *might* get seated before the restaurant closes. This could have been communicated better as we specifically asked about making reservations at the front desk you were assured they were not need [... read more]ed. It was frustrating to be left wondering if you would get a meal or not at a restaurant you already paid for. Also the staff were friendly, but if you asked for any form of service - from a general question to a juice from the juice bar staff, you don't get a straight answer and often are left wondering if they will even come back.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort.

This resort was perfect for us. It was just the right size and laid out very well. It was clean, the service was excellent, the food was great. I loved the proximity to the airport. The staff was friendly. You had the choice of spending your time on the sandy beach or at one of the refreshing pools. You also had a choice of going to the party pool, the kiddy pool or the combination pool. Great kids program. And great entertainment throughout the day and evening.

Ocean Maya Royale: great"adults only" resort

this small resort had it all. Great food. Friendly and accommodating staff.Beds and pillows very comfortable. lots of activities. shows in the evening were very professional. Beautiful pools, great drinks. the only thing I was disappointed with was the beach along the ocean. Lots of seaweed and rocky in places.not a very good beach for walking, some obstacles along the way. Still enjoyed this hotel very much.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Expected more!

Was disappointed with the beach. Mother nature has not been kind to the beachfront of the resort. That said, the resort should keep the best part of the beach clean on a daily basis. Privilege status is worth it for booking of the restaurants but other than that no real extra value. The privilege beach area is very small due to the effects of mother nature. Coffee house was excellent - a nice treat plus really pleasant staff.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great place for anyone to travel to

The resort was absolutely amazing. The layout of the resort was well thought of having the restaurants and entertainment upfront while having the villas further back to keep the noise to a minimum for those looking for peace and quite. The food was great, no complaints. Service was top notch, all the resort staff were always paying attention to your every need. The rooms were massive and updated, very clean and well kept. The beach area was of one concern, months of storms have eroded the beach  [... read more]and very little remains, though there was still room to relax in a sunbed. Pools were great. Overall this has been the best resort I have travelled to in the Caribbean and would recommend anyone to try this resort.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great place to relax

Resort is beautiful, rooms are spacious and very clean, as is the rest of the resort. Loved Mikes coffee house, and choice of restaurants. Lots of room to relax by the pools or beach, great kids area too.

Ocean Maya Royale: Nice visit

The resort itself was nice, rooms clean and grounds well kept. They had a mix-up with our reservation and we were transferred to a neighbouring resort for 3 nights and then transferred back for 7 seven nights. We were upgraded to "Privilege Status" which I understand costs quite a bit extra. I personally wouldn't pay for this as I don't see much value. We found the private beach area rather boring. We ended up spending our time at the "regular" pool area as this seemed to be where everything was [... read more] happening. The entertainment wasn't great except for the fire show the last night we were there. I didn't like that they don't have shuttles into Playa del Carmen (or anywhere else for that matter) but you can book your excursions on site. We were given a coupon for a free five night stay for the inconvenience of moving around, but will have to wait and see if there is any problem in the follow through. Food was excellent. We ate mostly in the buffet but did try the Italian restaurant and it was delicious. Miguel at the pool bar was fantastic and the activity crew at the pool were great.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Buildings 17-21 are outdated and need upgrading.

Above section need to be upgraded. Travelers need to be aware of which section of the resort is reserved for their tour group. With Air Transat, this section is reserved unless you pay to upgrade. The bathrooms, need some work! A lot of mold and rusted shower head, support racks coming loose from wall. Also sewer smell and musty smell. I was disappointed with what type of room we got for the price payed for Ocean view. After several days of complaining at the front desk we were moved to building [... read more] 11 which had been upgraded , cleaner showers but still sewer smell! If it were not for the staff and workers at the resort it would have been a complete bust!! Beach had a lot of seaweed, red or yellow flags most of the time. Long waiting list for a la carte meals unless you booked privilege or VIP or showed up for 6 pm. Otherwise eating at 8:30-9 pm

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Disappointing Resort

We asked for an ocean view room away from the children's activity area. We were given a room overlooking the kiddie pool at the far end of the resort, a long walk for seniors. The room smelled musty and there was mold in the bathroom. After 2 days of complaining at the desk we were moved to a newer section of the resort with a lovely view of the ocean. The grounds were well kept but the beach area was constantly being cleaned because of all the seaweed that was being washed up. The buffet meals  [... read more]were cold. The Japanese style restaurant, the Italian style restaurant, the crepe restaurant and Mike's were all great as was the lobby bar for specialty coffee and drinks. The staff were all friendly and courteous.

hotel maid service food landscape facilities all excellent ocean view room as requested at arrival long sand beach good for walks but not recommended for swimming. in my opinion water murky and too much seaweeds

Ocean Coral by H10: Great resort lots of fun! Really good people.

the hotel was beautiful. The food was great and the grounds well kept. The only thing they could do better is to have entertainment in the lounges. Example piano bar, guitars, or jazz. Just something would be nicer than nothing at all.

Ocean Maya Royale: Amazing Resort!!!

Liked the area of our room. The ground & the hotel and also the rooms were very clean.The entertainment was fantastic both at the pool & the evening shows. The a la carte restaurants were exceptional and had a good variety in the buffet.Employees were very helpful and friendly. My only beef is no beach - could not take long walks along the beach. Enjoyed our two weeks stay and would love to do it again.

From the time we arrived at the Airport and arrived at the hotel all staff were wonderful.. Air transit great flight !!!! We were well looked after amazing clean rooms, beautiful pools and fantastic À la carts. We will be back !!!!! We would highly recommend this resort Great for the family.

Ocean Maya Royale: Exceeded Expectations!!!!

My wife and I just returned from the Ocean Maya Royale on Jan 14, 2015 and I have to say we were both surprised with how good this resort is. Food, service, housekeepers, bartender, english speaking employees, clean well manicured grounds..... it was soooooooo nice. I have to also say, free WiFi in rooms, main lobby and even on the beach, I have never been offered so much service for the dollar you pay. Our BD TRAVEL rep (Andres / Drewski) was over and above, he actually let me use his personal  [... read more]phone to coordinate with friends that were at a different resort to meet up on a particular excursion. Oh and he's from Thunder Bay too. Ha. Thanks so much to all the staff and look forward to returning in the future.

Wonderful ocean, great pools, lots of chairs, great food and fun entertainment! Will go back again. Had a great time in this small resort. Allowed you to see the same people again and again and make great friends.

it was wonderful the staff were great my time was perfect the place was very clean , the ocean front needed some repair but the pool was wonderful keep up the great work I was there 3 years ago and was not happy but decided to try again and glad I did

The staff are wonderful..The food is ok, there is room for improvement in that area..The beach area is small and they need to put up more cabanas for shade and the same around the pool area, and also some table and chairs for the older guest. I also have to say the suites weren't all that clean.

We arrived Dec. 21/14 about 2pm, got our rooms about 3:30pm. I asked to have my sink in the bathroom fixed, bad leak in s trap when you run the water, everyday for 5 days I went down to the front desk, as well told Mr. Coffey from air Transat. Nothing was done, on the 5 day I spoke with a manager of Entertainment down at the beach, and finally he called someone, and was fixed! But still leaked a bit? At the same time I asked for our robs and slippers we were suppose to get!!! Never got them. As  [... read more]we pay the upgrade to have this service. The pillows were like pancakes!!! Very uncomfortable. and the rooms were not cleaned very good, as every time after a shower, we had to put our sandals on as the floor was dirty. Never put any boozes in the fridge unless we gave her $$$$ I stayed at this resort 4 year's ago, and was impressed, that is the reason we went back!!!! This time I could not believe how the resort was rundown. Even the booze was watered down?????? awful. The free Wi-Fi was also bad service, could not always get on, and when you did, very slow!!!
