Melia Peninsula Varadero: AMAZING RESORT!!
From the first day the service we recieved was exceptional, even though we didnt know much Spanish, all of the employees were soooo amazing and friendly, the services are also top of the line. The buffet food can be improved a little but i understand its a buffet. The restaurants were amazing in the resort which you can book
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great Place to Wind Down
Rio de Oro is a great place to wind down and relax. By comparison to other resorts, it feels uncrowded. The buffet restaurant was never full when we visited, and line-ups for cappuccinos and other drinks at the main lobby bar were never long. Service was almost uniformly good. Entertainment was for the most part low-key, which suited us, mostly house bands playing good local music. Partiers might prefer a less tranquil locale, however. Food at the buffet is better than the Cuban norm (we did [... read more]
Hotel Camino del Mar: Older smaller resort
We have had several stays here. It is a quiet. older resort, which has areas under renovation and/or repair. There is a small entertainment crew and occasional outside groups to entertain in the early evenings. There is beautiful beach which is good for swimming and snorkeling. Fishing off the dock is also fun. The food is of good quality and variety.
Melia Varadero: Great resort, amazing beach, lovely staff
We had a great stay at Melia Varadero. Everything was really pleasing from our room, the resort, the beach and the staff was so attentive and friendly. No complaints at all! However, the food was not as nice. This was our first time in Cuba, so we don't know if this is just the quality of the food overall. The staff did what they could with what they had, but if you are looking for a food experience this may not be it. We did go into town and have meals out which were pretty good and the res [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Wonderful Experience
First, the hotel staff were amazing! Accommodating is an understatement. Second, the food and amount was really great. The servers and hosts were for the most part, smiling and helpful. Third, the cleaning staff and fridge attendant were very pleasant and helped with our needs and getting us in our room when we were locked out. The beach itself was beautiful. One side of the ocean was smooth and clean. The other side to the right had some coral, grass patches, great for sea life to view [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great resort, food could have been better even for Cuba
Had a great time at this resort. The grounds are well kept, the layout makes everything relatively easily accessible, it was clean, and the staff were very efficient, friendly and professional. It's a pretty quiet and tame resort, which is great if you just want a relaxing vacation. My only reservation was the food. I have been to Cuba many times and know its not the place you go for great food, but I was surprised by the food selection and quality even for Cuba. It mostly wasn't great; a few [... read more]

Tryp Cayo Coco: Not an amazing resort

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful beach

Melia Marina Varadero: The worst experience with5 star hotel after17 times visit Cuba
IIt is definitely not 5 star hotel ! Hotel Service people in the bar in restaurant don’t speak English at all They are not able to understand what we want In the bar during our 11 days they offed us 4 kinds of drinks no tomatoes juice for Bloody Marry or other stuff for 5 star 2) A la carte in All 4 restaurants there is the same menu ! In reality not in the paper I wonder what is the meaning to come there? No normal entertainment like we always got in 5 star hotel being 17 times in Cuba
Melia Varadero: Excellent resort!
We upgraded to the LEVEL, so it definitely made a difference. Food and service were incredible, separate beach area, a la carte restaurants for lunch and dinner every day, etc. Would definitely go back!
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Sunwing Vacations Terrible
The Hotel was fine however trip central had the check in and check out wrong , we arrived at 9 am trip central said check in was at noon , we had to wait until 4 pm,,, long day for not unloading our stuff, or changing and sitting in the heat, also on departure day, we waited in the lounge from 1:30 verified our flight was on time and the bus would pick us up at 5pm . 10 minutes to 5 we found out our flight was delayed for another 2 hours when I asked the sunwing rep what was going on she said it [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Very nice
The grounds were lovely and well taken care of. The beach was beautiful and clean, staff available to help you get a lounge and beach activities midday. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. We did not use the pool. There were 4 bars, always someone friendly available to make your drink. The food was good, buffet had a large variety.. something for everyone. Best of all were the staff, lovely people always available to help and provide great service. We couldn't get all the channels on our [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: First class resort
We recently went to Cuba for my wife’s birthday. This resort is by far one of the best we have ever stayed at. The rooms very clean and the service was top notch. After the first day we decided that we would return again and again. For Cuba this is a 5 star resort. The staff cater to your every need. I would highly recommend Paradisus Rio De Oro
Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing Staff and fellow vacationers
The best part of Tryp Cayo Coco was the staff. Almost all of the staff knew my name and face by the end of the trip. It was the staff that made the experience as good as it was. The beach was amazing, the pools were great. It's not a large resort, so everyone gets to know everyone, and all the fellow vactioners were super friendly and also made the stay memorable.
Paradisus Varadero: What a great resort!
We went for a week with two children aged 7 and 8. We stayed in the family concierge area. It was an amazing time at a beautiful resort. Clean, solid food for Cuba, and a great, friendly staff that was willing to help. Service times were never slow. The beach was wide and long and beautiful. Always able to find shade at the beach, between all the palapas and palm trees. We would definitely go back. Well done Paradisus!
Memories Cayo Largo: Lovely resort
We really enjoyed our time at Sol Cayo Largo. The food was the best we have had yet in the 8 times we have been to Cuba. Friendly staff especially Omar the omlette guy! The a la carts were fantastic, clean room and facilities. The beach was super. No coral in the water to stub your toes on. Would suggest it to anyone who asks!!!
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Lovely people work here
A beautiful resort with beautiful beaches. We had a lovely ocean facing room on the 3rd floor. The people that work there are so nice and hard working. A big shout out to Teresa in the dining room. My only complaint was the stagnant water out front of the lobby by where the main court yard is. Many people had bites and I’m sure that is why.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice resort
The grounds were beautiful. The lay out of resort was really good, one of the easiest resorts I have been to, to learn your way around. The beach was one of the best and pools were nice too. There were a few disappointing things. The resort was too big for the size of the lobby bar and common areas. Never a place to sit and the service at lobby bar was not good. Drinks were another disappointment, no drink service on beach and poor drinks at beach bar. There were some better ones at the piano ba [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: The worst experience for the last 17 visits
It was the worst experience with 5 star hotel IT IS DEFINATELY NOT !!!! Service stuff don't speak English at all There are 3-4 drinks in real menu in the bar( even for 14 days never tomato juice ) A la carte in all 4 restaurants there was the same menu and terrible quality
