Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Amazing Resort

Excellent customer service. Always smiling. Rooms very clean and always stocked up. Excellent entertainment. There is always activity for everyone. There is an improvement required with foods. Plenty of varieties but the quality of the food requires improvement.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Excellent hotel

The service is great and the beach wonderful, food is regular but we know the situation , shows are great too and we love that theyhad shows for kids, the negative point is that the hotel is far from the airport.

Memories Paraiso: very disapointed

food was bland filthy washrooms out of rooms no soap no toilet paper grounds were fabulous staff was very nice rooms not thoroughly cleaned no wash cloths no face soap theatre shows were very entertaining long walk to beach

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Nice Resort

I've just spent a week at Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria. It is a smaller resort and very quiet. The beach is quite small. The animation by the pool is non existent. You only see the staff around 4pm to give a salsa dancing lesson. The food was just ok as to be expected in Cuba, even if I've had much better at other resorts in Cuba. The buffet is really small and 90% of the time the food was cold. On the plus side, they always had 3 stations to prepare fresh food (meat, fish/shrimp, pasta).  [... read more]The best spot to eat was the 24hr snack bar by the pool. Wood oven pizzas were great, chicken nuggets....and the fries were usually hot. I didn't go to any of the A la Carte restaurants but other people told me they were really good. I ate at the BBQ the Saturday night (only on Saturdays and $12 Pesos) and I really enjoyed it. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. The two singers in the lobby in the evening were awesome. After the show is over, you can hear crickets. I wanted a quiet vacation and that's what I got, so overall, I enjoyed that resort.

Memories Paraiso: Mediocre resort

After many trips to Cuba I expected more from a 4 star resort. Food was very lacking. Things that could be easily fixed. Food stations not hot enough, eggs luke warm. Food not labelled. Many washrooms non functioning. No toilet seats on toilets at pool. Out house at beach beyond disgusting. Entertainment was excellent. Rooms were adequate. There was often issues with keys not working. Very long bus ride to resort. Beach is lovely but really no better than Varadero beach

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Ok resort

Hôtel in need of repairs. Could use a good cleaning. Beach is nice food decent always find something to eat even with butter it’s difficult to book a la cart restaurant. Could not get italien very busy maybe tip wasn’t good enough.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Amazing place

Room, beach,food and bars were great!! We were put in a room with two beds, the girls at front desk gave us a key for another room with a king bed and we were moved in 15 mins later....service is 10 plus. The servers at the buffet and a la cartes, main lounge, pools, beach and 24hour eatery were excellent. They had alot of condiments at the buffets too. The entertainment at beach and pool super!! Pools crystal clear!!! The hotel bathrooms, lobby and grounds super clean.

Valentin Perla Blanca: VPB Not for the faint of heart...

Having been to Cuba before I knew not to expect much food wise not to mention I have several very severe food allergies and packed accordingly. Staff were great for most part, but there were several hiccups. PROS: Great beach, polite staff, amazing cappuccinos and nightly shows. CONS: Bed sheets were changed only once in 7 days, Food was extra awful, tips were at times were basically demanded (Which I refused to do when asked), saw a fellow traveler puke in one of the pools at like 1 in the  [... read more]morning(Stopped by front desk to tell them and they didn't seem to concerned). Dirty dishes all over resort which were left for days, seemed like consumption of excess alcohol was encouraged(Saw a bartender pour 50 shots of tequila for a young man who then proceeded to drink most of them before falling down due to intoxication.)

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Good hotel ,

Good clean hotel , good fresh food, Beautiful beach ,not good entertainment . While in Cuba I would like to listen to cuban music The pathway to the beach is in bad shape. Staff is very polite and carring. I would recommend

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent Experience!

We loved almost everything with this resort, clearly one of the best ones in the area. Beach was just amazing, as in pics, staff is friendly and decent, all doing their job. Transfer was smooth and timely, lots of drinks and food! Would recommend definitely to everyone.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Amazing Resort-from first impression to farewell time

The resort was beautiful, close to beach, clean and thoroughly enjoyable. The only complaint would be the spotty internet but we managed. We are already looking forward to returning! Great service, food and amenities and white clean beach!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Great Find!! Highly Recommend

We were pleasantly surprised, especially after hearing other people's experiences from other resorts. We met a few couples who stay here every year, one couple has been to this resort 7 times! We were treated well; they took our bags for us, explained how things worked and then paired us off with our buttler (like a concierge, but they are only paired to a few rooms so you get more personal attention) who gave us a personal tour of the resort, drove us to our room, and showed us around. We didn' [... read more]t use the butlers much, but some people took full advantage and really appreciated the service. We arrived just after Christmas and it (amazingly) did not feel crowded, and the service was great! After New Years things relaxed even more. My one caution is that they fumigate the resort every morning, I think this is necessary given the surrounding environment, but worth noting if you're sensitive. And we did find the odd bug in our room, but again, hard to avoid. The food was good, but after a while I missed spices and rich chocolate desserts. I was hesitant about the food at first, but eventually realized that everything was very sanitary and had no problems. The rooms were very nice, nice big shower, and a normal sized tub. They are not new, but they have been kept in quite good repair. Our only problem was that the patio door was very hard to open and close. It took us a few days to realize that the shower door doubles as a toilet door, by design, which is brilliant.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Nice resort

We enjoyed this resort for the exception of the bugs in all of the restaurants and buffet area. The beach was great and the rooms were kept clean and functional.The grounds were very nice and clean and the staff were very helpful once they understood our needs.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Amazing resort!

This was our second time around at Valentin Perla Blanca. We first visited in January 2017 and again this year. We love the beach, the bars, the entertainment, the staff, the food, the fact that it's an Adult Only resort. The beaches are clean, lounge chairs taken to wherever you want, drinks galore brought to you or picked up at the beach bars. The bars (in the resort and on the beach) provide whatever you may desire. The entertainment in the evening is varied, there's something for everyone [... read more]. The staff is ever-smiling and willing to make your wishes come true. The Buffet offers a wide variety of dishes for all times of the day. Wine galore or whatever you feel like. The staff is courteous and even though they're sometimes limited in their knowledge of the English language, they will try to get whatever you want. We're in our 60's so we like it quiet but lively. The pool is a perfect way to get both, the entertainment and the quiet. The pools are well maintained as well as the gardens. The pool areas offer lunch possibilities (a quick snack if you don't want a heavy lunch). Just a suggestion for the cooks: if cooking beef, cook it on open fire (grill), it would taste a lot better. We drank the water and ate the salad and never had any health issues. The resort was touched by the 2018 hurricane and it would be nice to have the roof re-installed over the entertainment area. Any scheduled event is redirected to the main lobby in case of rain. The rooms and washroom facilities are kept clean at all times. Change of towels and sheets at any given time when requested. Pool towels available at the pool area. Comfortable lounge chairs and beds. Flowers on the bed and towels in heart shape when rooms are cleaned. Really nice touch. Customer service always ready to help in case of problems. Internet was down on several occasions...too bad. All in all, we would go again!

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Great resort, usual Cuba annoyances

I've been to this hotel many times, so I get privelege with them. I still ask for normal building as privelege rooms have baths instead of shower. But the hotel is pretty new, grounds are clean, beach is fantastic. They have a super imtertainment stuff, i like to participate in all of that. On Saturdays they have Cuba night where people can dance with professional dancers. There's a disco right outside hotel, it's not included though, have to pay extra. Usual annoyances: some things don't work, [... read more] and it takes a while to have them fixed but i know there's only 1 guy for the whole resort. Also I called for the cart to leave with suitcases about 5 times and other workers called for me and still I was waiting 40 minutes, almost missed checkout and my bus. Normal Cuba annoyances. Still I like the hotel, most workers will bend down backwards to make ur stay amazing, so I will probably keep booking with them.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Baware

Hi, I will first start with how nice the resort looked like. We were very happy to be in such a nice resort. The staff was awesome friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff in our rooms did an awesome job with the cleaning.as far as the negative side of this resort was the cockroach’s, they were all over the eating areas. If this resort would have been in Canada the health unit would’ve shut them down. Reaches were seen in plain daylight, what a pitty. Valentin Perla Blanca: Awesome vacation!

This hotel was lovely. When we were there it wasn't full so we had no problems finding beach chairs or pool chairs. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The gardens are beautifully keep and the beach.... the beach is the reason we go. Best beach that I have ever been too. The food in the buffet was very good and the latte's in the lounge bar were fantastic!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Excellent resort

We stayed for one week at the beginning of December. The resort is around 90 min bus drive from the airport. On our return to Canada, we drove in the earlier afternoon and could see the coast way as well as the Cuban towns. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our return bus drive. There was always hot water and very good water pressure. The balconies were big and nice. Furniture may have needed some updating but it was in decent shape. Buffet restaurant. Very nice impression. There were always fresh fruits and variety of good-quality cheeses. On the weekend, there were lobsters and they never run out of them. The grill stations had seafood and meat. For the first time in Cuba, we enjoined our steak. The buffet is large and we did never experienced long lines during our stay. Beach. There are two beaches and both are really good. The second beach (further from the family part of the resort) is really spectacular and was our favorite; it slopes slowly and was ideal for our daughter. The two beaches are separated by some land, by which there are some corals. This was an ideal place for snorkeling; I saw two octopuses, a lobster and various fish. In fact, this was the best off-beach snorkeling I have experienced in Cuba. Caution: earlier in the morning (around 7am) and later in the afternoon (after 5pm), I was bitten by biting midges (no-see-ums) on the second beach, when staying close to the vegetation. These insects are almost invisible but there bites are quite itchy (some people are sensitive and some are immune to their bites). Pool. The pool was well maintained. There were water slides next to the pool and our daughter really enjoyed them. We will definitely go back to the resort.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Resort

This is one of the best Resorts we've stayed at period, the room was fantastic and roomy, we were on the main floor with a nice patio, the grounds were impeccably well kept, the staff was wonderful and very attentive, the pools were great and so was the sandy beach. There seemed to be a bar everywhere, in all the pool areas, in the lobby, a 24 hour bar / snack-bar downstairs and another one by the pool by our room. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Amazing room, great staff!

The room accommodations were very nice, bathroom shower was a real treat. Staff was very friendly and always had a smile. The beachfront was great and a short walk from the marketplace! Would highly suggest this hotel to anyone.
