Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Great location

The hotel is on the best beach in PV, the views are exceptional and the water was amazing. The food was a 7/10, not enough variety in my opinion. Service was pretty good, not a 5 star. Once concern is they did not run their beach/pool cups thru the dishwasher, they use a chemical dip. Not a fan of thi, bought my own cup to use. The hotel is old with some updated elements, however the views from room are a 10/10.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Great Experience!

We had a fabulous time! The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and energetic. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. The buffet was excellent and featured a different theme each night.

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Amazing resort!

The overall resort was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools were clean but most of the time you had to reserve your spot in the morning. The food was really good and they always had an event for each night. Very entertaining!

Las Palmas by the Sea: cHeap and cheerful

The grounds were well kept,the adult pool staff did a really good job of keeping kids out! The room was clean,but sparse ,no dressers,had a problem with the remote and they were right there to see how they could help.They couldn't fix the remote,but within 10 minutes I had a new t v and a working remote!!The bartenders did an amazing job of serving people in order,wouldn't let people but in front of me .I had a great time.I was a solo traveller ,the solo inclusions were not what were advertised  [... read more]there wasn't a cocktail party,no room service wi fi in the room didn't always work,there was no solo dining table.But,didn't bother me to much,I made friends the first day,and had a blast.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: A Home in Paradise

Never have we felt so welcome and relaxed as we did at Now Amber. The words of one server in the buffet will resonate with us forever. When we attempted to apologize for adding another part to our table his response was "do not apologize this is your home". This is one example of the excellent service we received by the resort.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Love Now Amber

This was our 3rd stay and this time we brought 2 other couples who were as impressed as we are.. I absolutely love this resort.. Everything is top notch. Drinks are good, food is excellent, rooms are fantastic, grounds are kept nice, bathrooms are clean and the entire resort is well looked after. The staff is by far the best ever! From waiters to front desk to housekeeping to bus boys.. Location is fantastic as well..

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: LOUD, LOUD, LOUD!

Spent 7 nights at Now Amber and the late night noise from parties on the beach and events at the open air amphitheatre made my relaxing vacation horrible. When I spoke to one of the managers about this, he replied that it was "something they were working on." I found the food to be average. Room service was very slow, food was mostly cold and bland when it arrived and the portions were VERY small. The restaurants were a bit better in portion size. I also found the service to be lacking. I travel [... read more] as a solo and it seemed as though the staff catered more to couples and/or groups. I don't drink alcohol and I suspect that this may have had something to do with the poor service as well. Before I arrived, I spoke with the general manager via email and requested that there be extra water and coffee in my room during my stay. I confirmed this request with the front desk when I checked in and yet I still had to call down 4 times before I even got extra water in my room. I would not recommend this resort to others.

Crown Paradise Club: Wonderful resort

Grounds are immaculate. There is something for all ages. Food was great and staff friendly and helpful. Kids club was amazing our eleven year old was always kept busy and never bored. We will be returning next year.

Canto Del Sol: Amazing Resort!

Overall clean clean clean! Staff are friendly and accomodating. Food was great but perhaps more variety needed. Conviently close to massages and souvenir shopping. 15 minutes to the airport! Always a lot to do.

Crown Paradise Golden: Amazing stay at the Crown Paradise in PV

Upon arrival was not sure what to expect, First time at an all adult only. Quiet, respectful, very well maintained and good service. The specialty Restaurants were great to accommodate and all meal very well presented. Great experience overall. Would recommend this resort to anyone for R. and R.

It's the small things and their attention to detail The ratings do not lie, there is a reason it's listed within top ten of Puerto Vallarta hotels. My overall rating 4.7/5. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back. First impressions. Slightly Older but charming and well maintained and run. Lots of character. Lovely and one of its strengths is that it is not a mega complex easily walkable. I.e if you forget something in your room it's only a few minutes to get back. Not a ten minute walk or shuttle ride away. The overall feeling is more intimate and a very comfortable feeling Amenities: Rooms are well appointed and beds are comfortable with room safe, mini fridge and wifi included. all have ocean view and best views are on higher floors (3 and up), however if you want a larger balcony ask for floor 1 or two. First floor has significantly larger balconies than others. Beach is small and nice but beware, sand gets extremely hot in the afternoon and if you're not wearing shoes/sandals can damage I.e burn/shred, the bottom of your feet. Pool is very nice, but not particularly deep. The sun typically doesn't hit the pool area until shortly after ten If you like mid morning to midday sun, select a chair on ocean side of pool, away from hotel. If you prefer mid afternoon to late sun or shade select a chair on hotel side of pool. You will not have blaring music all day long or stupid games. They do offer, water aquatics to music, yoga and beach volleyball as well as selected cooking courses, salsa dancing and Spanish lessons. BBQ poolside is very good and La Cevicheria is excellent Food ranges from average to very good, with the exception of Cevicheria which is outstanding. Acapulco cocktail and shrimp or fish tacos are a must. Very fresh and flavourful especially with addition of the habanero hot sauce. Breakfasts are good. Food tends to be toned down with respect to spice and heat to North American preferences, however good selection of hot sauces and salsa. A nice selection of fruits and salads, not as large as larger resorts but still quite plentiful. Most of the restaurants are open air with lovely breeze and little to no humidity in a nicely built Palapa structure with a lovely view of the Bay of Banderas. I.e. It doesn't feel like a cafeteria so more enjoyable. A refreshing surprise is that no reservations are required for the three evening restaurants. There might be the odd wait, but grab a drink at the bar and enjoy. You're on holiday after all. Another nice touch is that you can upgrade on the wine selection for a charge and order a nice bottle of wine for dinner Thank goodness, because the house wine is awful. The Italian (Rosato) and Mexican (El Mexicano) restaurants are both very good. Notable dishes are the chicken Parmesan and beef Francesco in the former and tequila shrimp and beef chipotle in the latter. The Asian restaurant (Tiang tang) is average to good. Chicken teriyaki and pad Thai are notable. Deli cafe a great place to grab a cappuccino or espresso and pastry. Not much in the way of evening entertainment however they do have a live band a couple of times a week. You are however a short cab ride away from many clubs etc in downtown Puerto Vallarta. Spa is worthwhile but pricey. Gym is adequate Drinks can be hit and miss, usually a function of how busy the bartenders are. If they have the time they get it right. There is an ATM in the lobby and there is a bank a block away (turn right coming out of hotel). Not a lot of stores, but downtown (Malecon) is a short cab ride away (65 pesos) If you need your Starbucks fix, turn left coming out of hotel and it's about 900 metres down the road. Walmart and shopping mall is another 1km. The majority of people from either US or Canada and some Mexican Recommendations 1. Include a list of specialty drinks poolside and by the bar. 2. Add crepe maker to restaurant. Would be a wonderful addition to breakfast and lunch 3. Update and improve the wine list and offer ½ litre carafes. Ensure bottles are in stock. Terribly frustrating to be constantly told, they do not have or last bottle sold. 4. Improve your house wine as current House wine is terrible

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Friendly atmosphere

Colorful resort with very courteous staff. You are greeted with smiles in the morning and throughout the day. The food is great at all their restaurants.Would be beneficial to everyone if more basic English was spoken by more of the staff including the room and bar attendants. Tips should be seen as a bonus to your work and not as a requirement of service. There was one swimming pool that was restricted for adults only at building # 4, but this rule was disregarded by staff after a few days we w [... read more]ere there and kids were allowed in it, we felt this wasn't right as we were told it is a more peaceful place to be. There should be cushions available for the pool loungers, otherwise this is a good place for relaxation

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Great location, amazing service!

The staff at the Buenaventura were the best. I would definitely go back to this resort and would recommend it to other people. The only thing that I can many be say that was wrong was there were some loud frat boys that were obnoxious and annoying but it wasn't the resorts fault.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Great place to stay!

This hacienda had a very quaint and authentic atmosphere - cozy and comfortable. Many Mexicans frequent this resort over the weekends for a three-night stay - family friendly. The beach spot was easy to get to and the restaurant there very good. The food and service was very good (missed having ice cream available). The location was within walking distance to bus stops, Walmart and Soriana (grocery). I would recommend this resort.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Superb place

The resort is amazing. Accommodations, food and service was top notch. We travelled with two kids (10 and 8) and they had a blast as well. The hotel grounds are beautiful and offer good choice of pools and activities for everyone. This was our second time at Now Amber and we are still very impressed.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Wonderful week!

We have stayed at the Melia before so we knew it would be a great week! Only complaint is the Wifi in the lobby - REALLY BAD! No email - no skype and very slow if anything on the internet. So leave your computer at home and enjoy this lovely resort!

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: good

WE liked this hotel . but felt there are areas which could be improved easily. We felt the value was very good, but next time we would definitely stay on the Secrets side, regardless of extra price.The Now side did not receive the attention the Secrets side did. The biggest drawback were the kids on the Now side, poorly organized, pools.

Samba Vallarta: Awesome family place and friendly staff. Loved it!

Rooms could use some updating but it looked like they were startingto do so in some areas. Amazingly kid friendly. Staff was extremely friendly. The location was fantastic and the food was delicious. The pool was also amazing for my 3 yr old.

Tropicana Hotel: Tropicana hôtel

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Nice small resort

Nice small resort located in a small town, friendly staff. Mostly Mexican visitors and very busy beach. Food is average, wine is terrible. Nice beach to walk and ocean is warm and calm for swimming. Vendors are respectful and not aggressive. Would go back, met very nice people.
