Riu Republica: Amaizing resort

We were lucky to have a room in the center of the hotel and all the places were relatively close to us. The food was very good, varied and for all tastes. The restaurants were very good and the service was excellent. The hotel workers were very helpful and friendly. The room was very good and comfortable. The beach was very good, the water was crystal clear and there was no seaweed. The pools were excellent, very clean and for all tastes. The water park was really fun but with few options. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice resort

The resort is small and some of the rooms are dated but we preferred to be closer to the beach rather than having a new room. Lots of mosquitoes but it is Caribbean after all. Food was very good . The beach is beautiful and all personal very nice and attentive. Good value for the money.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Nice resort but...

The resort was beautiful, staff were friendly, the grounds were really clean (except for the smell of sewage in some areas, just hold your breath and walk by quickly) but unfortunately 3 out of 5 of us ended up food poisoning (E. Coli) with one being hospitalized after eating at the sports bar. The rooms on the family side were nice but the bathroom was a little off putting with a window the size of a door open into the shower from the rooms. The pools, beach and water slides were all really nice. All in all the resort was really nice but we are understandably not going to return.

Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Just okay resort

This resort was okay but I don’t think I would ever go back. It is really far from the airport that the packages usually use, the Punta Cana one. Overall, it was neither good nor horrible but it was mostly bad for me. The buffet is repetitive and the a la carte is bad. We also had to change rooms because ours was musty. The air conditioner was not working and I truly believe this resort is only for locals. This is why most people speak Spanish and most of the activities cater to Dominicans. Ther [... read more]e were stray dogs and cats all over the beach and the resort including in the restaurants which is actually disgusting to say the least. I was so uncomfortable the whole time I went to eat because the first day a cat crawled beside my leg and went under the table as we were eating. For the good parts most of the staff was really nice except I noticed on the weekends, some of the staff only really cater to locals so there’s not as much care during the weekend but it was still okay. The drinks to me were also really good for the most part. The older man who makes most of the drinks in the main area and the young girl were phenomenal but there was someone who came in once on the weekend who couldn’t even get basic drinks right.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Holiday

We stayed at this resort in June 2024. Overall worth the cost. The grounds were well maintained. Abundance of food and options for all. Staff were kind and tried their best to help when needed. The resort is quite old with some issues which required attention like room updates, leaking ceiling, appliance not functioning but were fixed for us. No room service available. VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

We were fourth time in this place,very nice people,very friendly.we like everything about this place. We would like to say thank you everyone who works there.Start with Oscar who does amazing work recognizing his staff,also he is making us to feel like we are home. Thanks Rosa who’s a great waitress,Nicolas who works at the beach in a small bar,chef at the Ocean Grill restaurant,he makes the best steak and all his food taste great. Very clean and safe place .

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing adult resort

We spend a week at the Bahia Principe luxury Bougainville resort. Very nice well kept resort. Buffet food was 3 times a day unbelievable. Even my favourite bagels, cream cheese and lox. The a La carte restaurants are very good and the French restaurant is a big 10. We had lamb chops there, unbelievable. The room with a fully stock and refilled fridge was great. Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Perfect place for vacation

Spent one week with my wife in the first half of June. It was our first time at this resort and we like everything about the place: adults only with limited number of patrons, well equipped rooms with comfortable queen beds, daily cleaning and towels change (though the cleaning begins usually at 11am and may last till 4pm), fantastic beach and ocean (long chairs are available all day long, no need to take them early in the morning), tasty and healthy food with vast varieties (great assortment of [... read more] deserts), friendly service and entertainment (group of cheerleaders tried to entertain the patrons all day long, invited singers every night), special events at the buffet, quality drinks at the bars with the long list of cocktails, small gym is well equipped and fitness fans may support the form during vacation. The resort is well managed and personnel really tries to provide the best service. Definitely it worth the price and for the next vacation we will not look for something else. Though a couple shortcomings may be mentioned: water supply to the room has been interrupted one day and one night without notice, and 3 last nights were not very comfortable because of the neighbours - not very civilised patrons used to get to the room about 10pm and watched TV with a rather high volume till around 2am. Since the TV sets are mounted on the walls we had to listen to their noise. After the first night I placed a complaint to the Customer service but it seems nobody talked to the neighbours because they set TV at the same volume in the night. On the third night I smacked the wall and only then they surprisingly reduced the volume.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great resort for family

The grounds are well maintained. The main restaurant and the steak house serve a variety of delicious food. Service in the main restaurant is exceptionally good and the place is constantly being cleaned! My grandkids really enjoyed the beach, swimming pool, water parks, the mini golf and the magic show. Good price for a family vacation!

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: nice resort

As we got there ,we were quickly looked after and albeit late at night all went smooth. Got room service for a snack ,and enjoyed the view form the balcony .We had to change room from 3rd level to the ground floor and it was done ,no fuss about it. Premises in day time looked even nicer, clean and well maintained. People courteous and accommodating. Coffee shop and restaurants clean, pretty well assorted for food, breads ,drinks ,fruits ,a bit less for sweets. Pools large and well kept, as well  [... read more]as the chairs and plenty of towels . Beach area was with fine sand, natural and manmade shades. Water quite nice, yet had to go around seaweeds, although attempted to be removed often. All in all , we had a a pleasant time at this place .

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Room for Improvements after Renovations

If looking for the Luxury Experience perhaps one day it will be Esmeralda but for now it does not stand up to the experiences I have had both at Ambar and Fantasia. A portion of the staff certainly lacked experience. Guest experience for example could not be found at their designated station set up at the building entrance any of the numerous times we passed by. At the beginning of the stay a rep. was outside the breakfast buffet, noted a few requests we had (essential oil scented room and slip [... read more]pers) but never happened. On the last day met another rep. told him of this but by then too late. Another inconsistency was with the kid's club night entertainment. Timing of anything for the kids was a miss most nights. However, during the day the ladies were very good to look after the children. I would recommend Esmeralda but not to expect the luxury experience.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Nice Weekend Romantic Getaway, Not Recommended for Solo Travelers

Very nice resort but not worth the week stay. Pools close at 6:30, beach is closed at 7:30, lots of construction going on inside the halls and outside on the beach. Plenty of space and chairs by pool and on the beach but no relaxation with people selling items every two minutes. Food was excellent and service was amazing, Jean Carlos on pool side and multiple members at the restaurants and xhale breakfast are the only reason i did not cancel my plans early for a new location. Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Well enjoyed

Hotel was aesthetically very nice. Rooms were clean and bug free (don’t leave your sliding door opened and you’ll have no issues. Rooms were cleaned daily- always had new towels and hot water. They originally faced us to construction which was not very nice; however, after going to front desk and they had us in a new room the next day which was pool view and much nicer view. Pools were nice, they often moved around with where they had music- I’d have liked them to stick to one spot so we didn’t have to travel around. Pool grounds were extremely rough- my child’s feet were bleeding and the pool floor pretty well shredded through two pairs of water shoes. The beach had a lot of seaweed with the exception of a spot to the left. There was always chairs available at the pool and beach so that was nice. The sports bar was good and open late, beach truck had good hamburgers and hot dogs. Coffee bar was a very nice touch in the mornings and evenings. Not much to do in the evening- we did travel with a young child so we’re not that bothered about it as he was tired. They had nightly entertainment but the theatre is so incredibly hot that it was very difficult to sit through the hour. They have a kids water park but the big slides were too large for my child and the other kids pool was a bit too young for my child so there was not much for the in between stage. All in all it was a nice resort and I was pleased with it. It checked pretty well all the important boxes

Occidental Punta Cana: Beautiful Beach

The hotel was older, but very clean. Our room was in a nice central location, on the 3rd floor, with a high vaulted ceiling with a balcony overlooking one of the pools. The food in the buffet was average, not a huge selection, but okay. The specialty dining rooms were better. The beach however, was beautiful. We were there in early June and it wasn't crowded. The sand was soft and the turquoise water was crystal clear. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Yes

Very beautiful resort, delicious food, just the kind I love to eat , dessert was delicious, fruits were the best, dinners were excellent, beach was very relaxing, the water was clean and crystal clear. The pool was very clean, the chairs by the pool were sanitized every evening. Toilets were cleaned constantly throughout my stay there. Service was the best. Highly recommended for both adults and children.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Nice resort food was not good nor service

Just came back from this resort very stunning the resort is really big with great views the only thing I did not like was the food menu as breakfast was the same every single day and lunch dinner was different everyday though. Also staff wasn’t that helpful we wanted to order beers to the room they wouldn’t help us out also staff doesn’t speak English well so it was very big miscommunications all the time. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Vacation

The hotel was beautiful, our room was always clean and well maintained, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous, the beach is the best beach in Punta Cana. Every day the maintenance team is washing the common areas. Most of the staff is wonderful, friendly and very accommodating. The entertainment team is great. I’ve been to the Dominican 13times, first time to the Bahia Luxury Esmeralda, this was such a great vacation, will definitely return to this location.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great food, Great time, Great service!

Second time at this resort. The food at the a la carte restaurants, the coffee at the Cafe was really good especially the Mongolian restaurant! The service from the beach server, the servers at the buffet restaurant and the omelet cooks, the butler at the villa, the hotel staff at the lobby ...all were so attentive and made sure we were looked after. There were 8 of us, we had an amazing time. The beach is literally right there. Enjoyed my vacation!

Riu Bambu: Fun but room for improvement

The good stuff: the beach is absolutely beautiful. We travelled in June and there was no sea weed at all. It was so much nicer than Bavaro beach. The staff are super friendly and fun. The food was actually pretty decent for Dominican from my experience at a few resorts. Breakfast was awesome, lots of selection and the fruit was amazing. We really liked Kulinarium for dinner but the other ala carte restaurants were meh. Beds were comfortable and the room was fairly clean. Housekeeping made up our [... read more] rooms every day which was nice. This resort is great for friends and a younger crowd. There was always music and dancing. It has a party vibe. I would not recommend the resort for families. The not so good stuff: the pools were really dirty and need more regular cleaning. The buildings are a little run down and in need of reburbishment. I would stay again with friends but not bring my family. There is no water park or splash pads for kids on the resort. You have to walk about 10 minutes to the water park which is fine but there is no bar or food once you are there. The booze is bottom shelf. Overall, the vibe was super fun and we had a great time. I would probably stay again for the price but hoping to try the palace next time.
