We loved our stay. Staff was great,fun and very friendly. Accessibility is not an issue. Rooms are clean and roomy. Huge resort. We did Pillar beach excursion and it was amazing. Spa next door is a highlight!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Awesome resort

The beach and pools were well kept and great places to be Nice , friendly and helpful staff Good variety of delicious food The entertainment was good A few repairs needed in some places and some updates needed in the room

Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing? not anymore!

Looks way better on pictures as it really is, in need of a lot of repairs. Tennis courts etc. in desperate need of maintenance. Very noisy evening programs till late at night. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Disappointing

First time in Cuba - the beach was lovely and white, water shallow, water activities a highlight and our reason for choosing this location . Staff was very friendly and service was great especially if you tip early in the week. But food very bland, underwhelming, coffee watered down “American style”. We enjoyed the double espresso at the bar instead. The a la carte Cuban dinner at the hotel was the same bland food from the buffet just presented nicely. The Mediterranean menu sounded great but execution was poor - no hint of Pernod in the salmon appetizer, no hint of spice in the Turkish soup, no mustard on the beef medallions with mustard sauce. Dance club music too loud poolside and too late into the night at the theatre stage for those with young families or travelling with seniors. It echoes throughout the room buildings and even our young teens were sick of the bass beat after 2 days. Thank goodness for the quiet pool that escaped the music but there are no bathrooms nearby. Have to walk all the way back to lobby or your room. No investments in the property post hurricanes, courts look really bad but were playable, rooms in state of disrepair with doors off hinges, stained linens, tiny shower heads - even the upgraded rooms that cost more, while water fixtures and glass doors were new, had mouldy grout in shower tile, safes not working, door locks failing. We knowingly booked the 3-1/2 star property but we would rate it a 2.

The rooms were okay Pool was okay beach was nice BUT dining was awful ran out of plates ran out glasses cups fork everything no where to sit down it was Chaos people everywhere I’m not kidding you We found a piece of glass in our drink a big piece Quite and tried to hide it we took picture and to top it off 7 out of 10 of us got food poisoning we think all the Symptoms Awful awful awful I will never go there again

Valentin Cayo Cruz: The resort itself is very good and the location is about 1 * hour from the air port via taxi.

Very good layout of the buildings and the 5 * swimming pools were a bonus. The room and the housekeeping service was excellent very polite staff. The grounds were maintained and clean. The view from the room was excellent. This is our fifth time to Cuba and I would rate the food as 1 out 5 reason the shortage of food and the snack bar ran out of beer in the afternoon. The main problem was the alcartes offered and hard to believe the food was better at the buffet and to boot the service was very  [... read more]slow as we noticed other people walk out because they were tried of waiting for the food up to 45 * minutes. The resort looked like it was only at 30% capacity and to make a reservation for the alcarte stood in line for over 40 * minutes to find out they only had 1 * style of alcarte to book. The night time entertainment was about 1 * hour long but it seemed each night it was same theme a little singing and mainly dancing. After many visits with the resort manager will explained our concerns about the service and the resort itself so she would have feed back to help correct the problems mainly food and drinks. Hopefully as time goes some of the issues we had will get resolved. Right now I would not recommend this resort for someone going on their first time all inclusive resort as it would be a disappointment.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort!

The staff are incredibly friendly and the beach is beautiful. The resort did an amazing job for new years eve, they have a very nice buffet dinner, a water show and a made a dance floor on the pool deck. Met some amazing people and would for sure go back

Melia Cayo Coco: A relaxing vacation

Meliá Cayo Coco is an excellent resort. When we arrived and checked into our room that smelled of smoke, it was immediately exchanged for a non-smoking room. Our toilet stopped flushing one night and was fixed first thing in the morning. Food was tasty and there was plenty of variety. For someone with gluten-free diet, I had no problems choosing from a variety of meats, eggs, rice, and vegetable dishes. The pool and beach were clean and ran a variety of daily activities which were well attended. Morning Yoga, a gym workout, and a massage were other activities I enjoyed. Water sports were available at the adjacent resort and a bus or bicycle tour could be arranged. The entertainment staff were attentive and well acquainted with the guests because many were repeat visits. Evenings included pre-show local talents at a breezy lobby bar. The shows were of decent quality and there was a disco available starting at 11:00pm. So much to do... I would definitely return to this resort.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Diamond club was a waste of money

We stayed at Hotel Colonial so we could have a suite for four adults travelling together on a family holiday. We paid extra for the diamond club to get a good suite with ocean view. We were prepared for Luke warm water and slow service. We weren’t prepared for no service or no water. On almost each day, we were without water for a large portion of time. It rained. Our rooms flooded. The water taps exploded and flooded the bathroom and nobody came to clean it after several calls to the front de [... read more]sk. The activités that we were promised were not available over the week between Christmas and New Years even though the price was significantly higher. Only the buffet was open except on two occasions and the a la carte food was terrible. The day trips were good except on one occasion when we requested a well known bird watcher. We got a taxi driver who spoke no English and didn’t know what he was doing. I ended up with red ant bites as he led us through a swamp. The service was not good (except at the buffet dining during morning and lunch) many day trips started before breakfast so we had to go without food until we returned (Exocet on two excursions when lunch was provided) New Years was terrible. No evening events. The meal was awful. In the end, we made the best of what could have been a huge waste of money. Pilar beach was awesome. Air Canada was unhelpful except the rep at the hotel. He was great. Be aware that the currency is changing and they will confiscate any Cuban money they find at the airport (entering and leaving Cuba )

Melia Cayo Coco: Dancing in Cuba

We went to Cuba over the week of new years eve and had a great time. The food, service, and entertainment made for a wonderful trip. Relaxing or fun was possible there. There is a dance club above the guest services desk that is open nightly from11pm-2am I would recommend this resort.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Not worth the money

This was our third thrip to Cuba and we were quite excited to spend New Years 2020 in what was purported to be a 4 star resort. We arrived at the resort at 11 and waited in line to check in. The process was slow and confusing. We were asked several times about our room selection. « Why are you staying in this building » we had booked an ocean view suite for 4 adults and a second suite for one adult. We soon discovered the source of their questions; we had no water on at least 5 occasions (e [... read more]ach lasting many hours) the rooms flooded twice - once when the taps exploded and once when it rained (we were on the third floor and the rain came though the closed windows) we called the desk several times so the water could be cleaned up but nobody came - we ended up using our beach towels to mop up the water. The suite we booked for 4 adults had one bed. We ended up changing people in our group around so only one adult had to sleep on a fold out cot. For $2000 for a room, I’d expect everyone to have a bed given that it says the suites are suitable for four adults. The services that drew us to this resort were cancelled during the holiday season and the staff had been reduced significantly. Restaurants were closed. Service was poor. There were no evening shows. We would wait in line and be totally ignored by the staff whilst people behind us would be served.( we tipped well so that was the problem ) We asked for a specific tour and were lied to and given a taxi driver instead of a tour guide (who had no knowledge of the requested tour and spoke no English) there were many things about the resort that we liked but the negative outweighed the positive. I had a better experience on my first trip to Cuba when I stayed in a hostel for 11$/night. Our trip ended with an air Canada representative yelling at us because we almost missed our connecting flight. The gate had been changed but no announcement made. In fact, we received a text message notifying us of the change 24 hours after we were home.We will go back to Cuba but not the Colonial.

My recent stay at Caribe was not a very pleasant one. Dirty stained sheets and bed cover on more than one occasion Patio Doors would not open and close properly Spiders in bed Toad in room Keys not working properly Broken shelf in refrigerator No bar soap provided, had to ask Shampoo and body wash not topped up Towel shortage Loud air conditioner Food mediocre with terrible cross contamination (not enough serving spoons and not monitored) Always alway always had to ask for a spoon,  [... read more]drove me nuts. Really not 4 star quality Although I was compensated with 2 extra hours on the last day for the toad in my room, it did not make up for the unpleasant experience.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: First Vacation: Amazing

The resort staff was very friendly, made a few good friends. The food was decent and the resort was beautiful. The beds were a bit hard because the mattresses were thin but I expected that being in Cuba.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing place best people

I had and amazing new years experience at memories caribe. They make you feel like family. The food at the cuban restaurant is to die for the best lobster and largest lobster I have ever seen and only 15 cuc. The buffet amazing food u can get fresh made omelets or pancakes for breakfast lunch is always tasty with fresh soups and chicken then dinner fresh pasta and stir fry. Everyone from customer service to front desk to the entertainment staff are amazing you feel like family and if you need an [... read more]ything they try as hard as they can to get it.

The hotel itself was clean but outdated. The wifi was very annoying. The maids did not fully clean our room which wasn’t nice to come into either. But the staff was AMAZING!!! Couldn’t ask for better people

I think the resort is very nice and the staff is amazing, very friendly The beach needs same Improvement but overall it was nice the room was spacious and has beautiful view the loby bar was very nice and friendly

Gran Muthu Imperial: Great place for a vacation

This resort located in Cayo Guillermo. Took 45min for bus ride from airport. Just minor things needs to improve. Bed sheets were dirty and smelly. Some people met in the resort had the same problem. Shower room was okay but had water leaking problem. I needed to wipe the bathroom floor after shower because water was all over the bathroom and almost reaching to the bed. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A delightful week away with my girls :-)

This was our first trip to Cuba, so we kept open minds. Truthfully, I was on a tight budget, so it was my only choice for a Caribbean get-away with my three girls (ages 20, 18 and 16), and I am so glad we went :-) The white sand powdery beach was GORGEOUS!!! The staff at the resort were so helpful and friendly, especially the Dining and Entertainment staff!! There was always fresh bread, cheese (the best Emmenthal I've ever had!!!), eggs, bananas, chicken, rice and beans, salads, etc. We celebrated New Year's here and the staff outdid themselves - what a fun night!! The champagne was flowing, the dinner was great (booked time slot at the buffet) and the party was a blast! The resort itself was very clean and safe. The staff were accommodating when I asked for our rooms to be changed because of water and safety issues (no hot water in one room, musty smell in both rooms, lock on one door not working). The common areas of the resort and the pool are great (always clean!), but the rooms are a little tired and in need of some upgrades. The toilet in one room needed to be fixed three times during our stay, but it was looked after same day, so clearly making guests comfortable is a priority. Water pressure between 4:00 and 6:00 pm was poor (clearly EVERYONE showering!!), so we waited until after 6:30 to shower most nights.I could nitpick about the repairs needed on the resort grounds (like the tennis courts, some of the paths to and from the beach), but in the end none of it took away from the great time we had. One issue that has nothing to do with the resort but worth bearing in mind when you travel to Cuba: the WiFi is spotty at best, couldn't get more than 15 minutes of access a day. If you have "roam like home" or equivalent and need to stay in touch with folks back home, that is the better option. A heart felt thank you to the staff at Iberostar Daquiri for making a girls' get-away for this "Mama" a bucket-list item I can tick off with the fondest of memories!!!

I can’t say enough about how much I love this place. The staff is so friendly - special shout outs to Manuel on the beach - what a lovely young man and the staff at the lobby bar.New Year’s Eve celebration was incredible - lobster, big new year’grab bags to help ring in 2020, disco, live entertainment. Food is above Cuban standards for taste although lacks variety day to day. The a la cartes are nice. Architecture is beautifully stylish.
