I have to say, ignore all negative reviews about this resort. I went with my daughter for 7 days to Fantasia and lived a dream vacation. It’s a perfect combination of a family and classy resort. Clean, well organized, super entertaining. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our needs. They take great care of the kids. The food is delicious and there’s a lot of variety. The room was AMAZING. The beach was beautiful, the pools were so much fun. My daughter loved the water slides. We did[... read more] a professional photo shoot with Tropic One studio and we went for a half a day excursion with the Why Not party boat. Both unforgettable experiences. We will certainly be coming back! Thanks to all the wonderful people working in Fantasia for a memorable week.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: A different experience!
The accomodation is great. The room is very clean and well supplied. The ground garden, sand by the beach is well maintained. Excellent service in the buffet or restaurant. The sand on the beach is very fine, beautiful to walk everyday. However, the water is brown in color due to the river nearby. The ground staff are doing their best to keep the weeds and debris away from the swimming areas.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Love This Resort Even More
About ten years ago, we visited our first Bahia Principe resort, and shortly afterward, when considering where to go next, we decided to revisit the same resort. Since that time, we have repeated this process. Our rationale was that we knew the location, we were happy with the food, the service, and the features of the resort. At present we have stayed at all the Bahia Principe resorts at the Riviera Maya, and this most recent trip was our fourth trip to Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an resort i[... read more]n Riviera Maya.
As per usual, the check-in process was excellent. The hotel recognizes your repeat status and rewards you with little extra perks. After a certain number of visits, you get upgraded to VIP status. As repeat guests, we receive some additional perks, but the main reason we continue to visit Bahia Principe is the excellent service we receive. Frida checked us in and made us feel very welcome. We were offered hand towels to refresh ourselves and welcome drinks. Frida was excellent at explaining everything we needed to know.
The room was a standard room for Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an. We usually ask if any upgrades are available but completely understand if none are available. Even the standard room is charming. Our room was on the top floor and included a king sized bed, a separate seating area for watching TV, plenty of storage space, and a lovely bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an is not a beachfront resort. They do have several pools that you can enjoy, which are a short walk from any of the rooms in the hotel. We enjoy going to the beach, but this isn't a problem at Sian Ka'an. There is a shuttle that runs from the lobby to the beach every ten minutes or so. I didn't find this inconvenient at all. As a guest of Sian Ka'an you have the run of the other three resorts in Riviera Maya, so not only can you go to the beach but you can enjoy all the facilities at Bahia Principe Tulum, Akumal, and Coba resorts.
Another reason we keep coming back is the food. At some resorts, you might find the food bland, probably due to the number of meals that get prepared, not so at Bahia Principe. The food is delicious and well prepared. The hotel invited us to repeat guest dinner. This dinner was set next to the pool and snack bar and was fantastic. We were served lobster and steak for the main course, and some great tasting additional courses as well. We were not only seated with other repeat guests at this dinner, but members of the staff joined us as well. At our table, we were joined by Frida (who checked us in), Kassandra who also is from the front desk, and Julio who works on the Animation and Entertainment Teams. It was a pleasure to share dinner with them and enjoy a great conversation with some of the key people behind making the resort so enjoyable. During the meal, we were also entertained by the mariachi band who did terrific renditions of classic Mexican songs. They even took a request.
At the end of the week, just as we were getting ready to leave, Kassandra approached us and made sure we had a wonderful time at Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an. You could tell that all the staff takes great pride in their work and their hotel. We will be returning in September for another week at our home away from home. I hope to see our new friends from Sian Ka'an when we return.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Excellent Resort - Quiet a bit of young people and lively
Overall I think this is an excellent resort.... I'm 35.
The main differences that I could see from the Luxury Bahia compared to the Grand Bahia, is you get more premium alcohol included (Black Label, Red Label, Jack Daniels, Overproof Rum, CC, Baileys), whereas there is extra charges on Bahia. Also, the food options at the Luxury (at least from ala cart restaurant standpoint) is superior to the Grand Bahia. Grand Bahia beats it on beach and overall design. Wifi included on Luxury side, but extr[... read more]a on the Bahia side. I believe entertainment is equal. The onsite club is on the Grand Bahia side, and is open daily (I believe) from 11pm to 2am. Free, quick, golf cart shuttles are provided from the Luxury to the Grand in about 90 second ride...(wait time might be 5 minutes). So the Club, Kareokee bar is shared, but that was fine. Music was good and lively, bartenders were fast.
On the Luxury Side:
Rooms:
Were kept in great shape, and have 2 services (morning turndown) and evening turndown service if you wanted. The room could be scented at your request (no charge) .. for example coconut, lavender etc. 2 200ml bottles of alcohol provided, and the mini bar charged daily. Lots of hot water and towels provided. Bed was really comfortable. No room complaints. Building 24 I would say is the best, if you want short walks to food, amenities, entertainment, and both beach options. It is louder in the building, but if you are not in your rooms throughout the day it should be fine.
Entertainment:
Is mostly outside, which we preferred. Is a young crowd that comes out to them. Bar is set up right beside the entertainment for convenience. Something is going on everyday at night. Ending at 11pm. Then if you want more go to the club 11-2am.
Food:
Top notch, I think there was 4 or 5 restaurant to choose from at night plus the Luxury buffet. Breakfast had 2 buffet options. Lots of food. Fresh juices available. 15% of your options were local Jamaica food type. Fruit, etc, etc. If you complain about the food on the luxury side, you will complain about anything in life. Real Jerk Chicken is available at Los Olas from Fitizroy at lunch ... top notch.
Pool:
Sufficient pool sizes. The main pool is located next to the swim up bar, and the average age in this pool is about 30, no one is swimming, straight up drinking and bobbing up and down. There is a live DJ playing music with games. Another pool is where 40+ aged people swim and chill, and they seemed to like that.
Beach:
If Beach is your top thing, then this resort is a no go. The sand area is about 30 feet deep (small) and the beach is very rocky (swim shoes is basically required) to even get into the water. The water depth goes to about 2.5 feet that's it. Man made beach, so large rocks are in the ocean about 100 feet in. Lots of fish by the rocks, small crabs on the rocks. Servers will come to your umbrella to take your orders. If you came to seriously swim in the ocean or to feel the waves, choose another resort.
Service:
Top notch in the restaurants around food. Bartenders were fast, and drinks were strong, but cups were small [bring bigger, they will fill up]. English well spoken. Grounds were kept extremely clean. Staffing numbers were prolly scaled 1:1 to general public [great]. Lobby staff (including Donna) was kind and accommodating of a room change to be closer to the action on the 2nd night. (as building 26 was very far (but quiet if that's your preference). They will not push for tips at all, but are appreciative.
Other:
Location is about 75mins from airport, and you will likely be the final hotel stop (3rd or 4th), so plan on arriving 100mins after exiting the airport. Red Strip is the only beer available.
4.5/5 .... only because the beach was so-so

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great vacation!
I emailed prior requesting a villa and a la carte reservations, and Bolivar was so obliging. Check in with Edwin was smooth and we were in our room in minutes. Manuel at Piscis was great! He was always there with a smile and was so entertaining! We absolutely loved him! The entertainment sta[... read more]ff at the main lobby bar was absolutely the best! They had everyone dancing and singing, and having a wonderful time always! Our room was clean every day when we returned, so thank you to wonderful housekeeping staff! Our favourite a la carte was the Garden Grill. Amazing food and service. We had two minor issues with our room but were addressed quickly and the technicians were great! The grounds were beautifully kept. We spent most days at the main pool and staff were constantly cleaning and making sure everyone was well taken care of. The beach staff worked endlessly making sure all the seaweed was raked and cleaned up. We had some rain but that did not take away from our vacation because of the wonderful staff! I was there with my daughter and we always felt safe and well taken care of. It was my daughter’s first tropical and I am so glad it was at GBPB because she had an absolutely amazing time. We will definitely return! Thank you to everyone for an absolutely

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing Resort
Fantasia Bahia Principe in Punta Cana was absolutely beautiful, very clean and food/drinks were great! My only recommendation is that anyone bringing teenagers I would select another resort. Fantasia definitely catered to the younger age group. Even with a teen section in the bottom of hotel who wants to send their kids where they cant see them on another level. With such a large facility I see no reason why pool tables couldn't relocated on the main level where there was endless seating areas n[... read more]ever filled.
No Complaints other than my teens were bored and the pool was very crowded on one side where the pool bar was located. Please consider in future upgrades to wrap the pool bar all around.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Best resort I’ve been to! I will be coming back!
I could go on and on about how this resort has no flaws what so ever. From the service, to the waiters, to the animators, to the cleanliness, to the best food I’ve ever had in my life in an all-inclusive. If I can, i would come back here every year. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Solid 4 Star Resort
Hotel is a dated, wouldn't rate it as a five star. Good price for all inclusive stay compared to other 5 star rated resorts.
Hallways are poorly lit and elevators are small and old. Elevators can only fit about 6 people at a time, or 2 people with luggage. Staff use the same elevators as well with their carts and trolleys taking up almost the entire elevator. There is no up or down button so it stops on every floor where people are waiting regardless if they are going up or down.
Rooms an[... read more]d bathrooms are large. Has the standard big whirlpool tub which takes up half the bathroom. A small single person stand up shower, and single sink. Water pressure in the shower was poor and temperature fluctuated often between hot and cold water. AC worked fine and kept the room cool. King size bed.
The beach area was small and rocky along the shoreline. Kids pool area and main pool area were large and usually had enough poolside chairs and umbrellas available.
The selection of Jamaican food was excellent. The themed nights at the buffet were pretty terrible. Spanish and Asian food selection did not do the cultures any justice, and should try to be improved. Not prepared with the proper and quality ingredients, did not taste good and was not close to being authentic. Desserts were usually the generic big slab cakes and mousses, bread pudding and some type of fried dough balls.
Bar service was usually quick, and mixed drinks were prepared decently with a good mix of alcohol to the rest of the drink.
The staff were friendly and professional. Had very pleasant interactions with most of the staff in front desk, bars and restaurants. Needed to request for our mini bar to be restocked on two different dates. If you track sand into your room from the beach it will stay there on the floor, housekeeping cleans the room well for the most part but doesn't appear that they sweep/vacuum floors during the week stay.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Nice
We traveled to this resort on May 21 2019 to May 28 2019. It was nice, beaches not the best, food was boring and the same everyday. A la cartes I can’t say because they were full every night and couldn’t get in. Staff was friendly and fun. Long drive from the airport and extras were pretty expensive. All in all I would say it was a 6 out of 10! Thank you for the experience.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful scenery
Rooms: clean. The view from the rooms with view on the ocean are breathtaking.
Fantastic to hear the sound of the waves from your balcony.
Staff : I can see that they are very hardworking people. The problem comes if you don't speak Spanish. Most staff ( buffet staff, resto à la carte ) do not speak English. Maybe because of this language barrier, it appeared to me that staff were not friendly. No smiles. No effort to communicate with tourists. I felt a bit ignored.
Of course, there[... read more] are some who make an effort. I can count them on one hand 😞.
Food : very good.
Overall, I did have a great vacation. I am used to the warmth of mexican people and people from Roatan. I was not expecting their not so friendly ways.
Despite this, I would go back because of the landscape and mostly because you can snorkel right from the beach .

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great Resort, Rooms So-So
This resort was marketed as a 5 star. The food, service, amenities and housekeeping are definitely 5 star, however, the accommodations are quite basic for a 5 star. There was no hot water for 2.5 days and they ran out of washcloths for 2 days. The ceiling in the room literally lifts up when a breeze comes through the room. Walls are VERY thin and you can hear people speaking in the next room and in the hallways.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Generally satisfied
First of all, this place is huge. They have some tiny trains to bring people here and there. From the coba, you need to take the train to get to the beach since it is quite far from the resort. Food was good and employees were friendly and helpful. Rooms were kept clean. We were generally satisfied with this place.
But our major problem with this resort was the beach. If you are a beach lover and mostly spend your time there, i suggest to go somewhere else.
It was one of the ugliest beach i[... read more] have seen in Mexico, not only because of the huge amount of seaweed which made the beach pratically unswimmable (we know this isnt their fault) but specially because of the breakwater they have installed which ruins the feeling of being on a real beach and feels like swimming in a lake.
If i wanted to swim in a lake i would have stayed home since we have many lakes in Canada. The breakwater is so ugly we couldnd even take photos, we had to go somewhere else to take nice beach pictures as souvenirs. It ruined it for me. We stayed 14 days at the Coba and spent a total of 45 minutes on the beach our whole vacation.
I do not recommend this place for beach and sea lovers.
