Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Outstanding resort

First let me thank Debbie from Trip Central for recommending this resort! She was amazing to work with and really took the time to find a resort that fit our needs. Well, all I can say is that our first trip to Mexico was amazing. We did have a few hiccups (more so surprises do our lack our knowledge) but nothing that we couldn’t handle. Thank you for recommending the Iberostar we had an awesome time. Although, we did not get a king size bed it wasn’t then end of the world…..it didn’t  [... read more]matter we at least had comfortable beds. It was a beautiful resort the kids activities and pool were great we were there every day and the “big pool” was large enough we didn’t really get in anyone’s way. The service in general was great (although there were a few times it was slower but service in an individualized thing). The food was delicious…a large selection. here is an excellent variety with the 4 al a carte restaurants and the buffet.......the food was delicious.. We only ate at the Japanese (which was delicious) and the Steakhouse (soooo good). We receive awesome treatment and they do try to make everything so very convenient for you. In fact we are already planning for another trip to the Iberostar Playa Mita for next year and this time we're bring our entire family to enjoy such a beautiful place. Thank you for making our family vacation full on amazing memories!

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Beautiful and relaxing vacation!

This is definitely a place to relax, it's very tranquil.All rooms are oceanfront, with wonderful views of the bay. The main pool is heated, with a excellent poolside service, Alberto was out waiter and he is truly one of the best. We would definitely consider coming back to this resort!

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Great resort

Beautiful hotel. Staff were accommodating and fun. Food and drinks were amazing. Stunning view of mountains and ocean. Spa was so nice and well priced. Only negatives were there was no on site disco to go dancing,but there was a cantina bar with live music. The beach wasn't very nice, lots of sand fleas, small and rough water but all the gorgeous pools made up for it

Riu Flamingos: Great resort

This was my second time being there and it was just as great as the last time. The beach is beautiful and and lively. The resort is very nice but a bit out dated. The food was wonderful as usual and drinks were great! Beds were very hard and unpleasant to say.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Great resort in Guayabitos

Have been to Decameron Los Cocos several times and we are very satisfied with the resort. We always stay in the superior rooms, which are a little quieter and have the adult pool. The staff are very friendly in this resort and always make us feel welcome. Lots to do around town with many good restaurants. Sad to leave and will definitely go back.

Canto Del Sol: Nice Resort

We had no issues with anything, the only negatives we could see was that there was no activities for teenagers, it went from small children to adult activities. The beach was not usable to swim or walk in due to rocks all down the beach that made it hard on your feet and there was a large drop off about ten feet into the water (could not touch bottom, found this out the hard way).

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful resort!

We stayed at Fiesta Americana in April/2016 and absolutely loved it! The staff are amazing, the food was fantastic and the location was perfect. The only drawback was the swimming in front of the resort- a little hard to get in the water and not as clear as we would have liked. The rooms are great with a beautiful view. Very short bus ride into town and short cab ride to the Marina. We took a cab to Conchas Chinas a couple of days which is a nice little public beach with great snorkeling and ver [... read more]y few people. Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Amazing

The food is great. You don't need to make reservations at night. The hotel and grounds are very clean. The rooms were really nice and loved they had a barhtub and a shower. There was entertainment in the lobby every night which was very enjoyable. The spa was fabulous. Great service

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Small, intimate resort.

Right in the heart of town. Staff were amazing, and because the resort is small, we got to know several guests and employees. There was a good variety of delicious food. The grounds were well-maintained and welcoming.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Perfect resort for relaxation.

Royal Decameron is a very clean and well maintained resort. The rooms are very basi. The beds are somewhat firm but quite comfortable. The employees are very friendly, cooperative and ready to help. The food is very good in all different buffet areas. Buffets had a great selection, variety and well above average quality. The a la carte restaurants are fine(except Jap Jap). Piccolo is the most popular and fanciest restaurant. This is not a party resort but more family oriented and an excelllent relaxing place for older people. I would recommend this resort, it was very good!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Great PLace to Relax!

We really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are kept very clean. Even the washrooms by the pool are spotless.The staff are very friendly and have activities going everyday from 10 am until 4pm. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. We forgot to lock our safe and the maid had security come and lock it and left a card stating that some valuables were left out and security had to come and unlock our safe. The food in every restaurant was enjoyable and fresh. All a la cartes are good. The Mexican a [... read more] la carte was my least favorite but the atmosphere is fun. They do a flaming tequila over beef and the flaming Mexican coffee. The café for coffee was good. They changed the chairs all around the pool from beautiful padded chairs to mesh chairs. They weren't nearly as comfortable and the original chairs looked more high end. There was never a problem getting a chair or shade. The infinity pool is perfect for all ages and warm. The ride to the hotel was 40 mins but we went directly there with no stops. The beach is 4 stories down from the pool area and I felt it was too disconnected but there is bar service on the beach and its very quiet. Never a problem getting a chair and the venders on the beach are not pushy. Overall excellent place, secluded, quiet and very safe.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: This resort has it all!

Amazing two weeks at the Decameron in Bucerias. Perfect location, great amenities and wonderful beach for swimming, walking and kayaking. The yoga/stretching every morning on the beach was awesome and the food was very good especially the Italian a la carte! Must do's: day trips by local bus to Sayulita and San Pancho,cheap massages in town and in the beach and sailing from the hotel on a hoby cat. Best value for money all inclusive we've ever taken

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Fanatstic Resort!

My 80 year old mother and I had the opportunity to spend a week at the Now Amber resort recently. It was nothing short of amazing in every respect. The rooms, the food, the service, was high quality. If you looking for a place to have an awesome holiday, I would highly recommend!

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: small hotel with a big heart

As soon as we came to the hotel, we were made aware of an important problem which the reception team promptly and efficiently solved for us. This was just an example of what was going to be the next ten days at this hotel. Exceptional service at all levels.

Canto Del Sol: Great memories!

Checking in: Check-in was very fast. The woman at the front desk was very nice. Initially they provided us with a room that didn't have any of the requests that I made - higher floor, king bed and balcony. However, as soon as we came back to the front desk, she quickly resolved it (even though those are requests subject to availability). I enjoyed the customer service that she provided me with. I was impressed with her, as usually they don't want to change your room or they make you wait a few  [... read more]days. Pool/Beach: Pool was great! In fact there was 2 of them - one for adults (never really made it there) and the general pool with a pool bar and a snack bar near by. I have never been to a resort with so many lounge chairs available!!! There was so many that it was hard to choose where to sit. That being said, the hotel in my opinion was pretty full. They had plenty of umbrellas available or would bring you one upon request. The beach is small, but very close to the resort and pool. I went into the ocean several times, but it was a bit rocky (small rocks that you can walk on). It's not like a Cuban beach, but that is expected in that part of Mexico. So you will get what you expect. Food/Buffets/Beverages: The a-la-carte restaurants had a very good ambiance - the surf and turf is basically right by the beach - book during sunset and you will have the most romantic meal of your life. The Italian was so-so, although the short rib was not bad. The Mexican was my favorite in terms of food and how nice the staff was - it's apparently the least busy one. When you go - make sure you order the Mexican coffee - it's a show! The buffet was small. However, it always had something new every day - they themed the nights, in order to make it less repetitive. For breakfast they had a lot of different types of fruit, made to order eggs/omelettes and a bunch of other things. For lunch I went a few times and there was a good selection, but most days I opted out for the snack bar. At the snack bar (open till midnight) they had delicious fries (tried not to eat too many of those, but they were sooo good!), they had shrimp/fish tacos and some "North American" food such as hot dogs/hamburgers. Great service and delicious. For dinner the nights were themed - so depending on the theme you can book your reservations, or even better yet - go into town for a nice meal at least once! It's a $6 cab ride and they have amazing restaurants in town.(La Palapa was amazing although pricey) The bars were amazing! I spent most of the time at the pool bar (opened the latest and earliest). They had a good variety of international and domestic drinks. I drink vodka or rum and they had plenty of variety that I like. The tequila from what I'm told was also good. The bartenders and especially Jose are all great. The one thing that is a bit disappointing for me is that the bar closed at midnight. (you can still order drinks via room service, however I believe it's only 1 per night) In hindsight the bar closing early might have been a blessing in disguise! Rooms: The bed was a bit on the harder side, but very comfortable. The room had a nice plasma TV although we didn't turn it on and we had a little kitchenette. The room is a bit dated however. I would say that would be one of the areas that they could improve. I would say that the room was a 3 star, maybe even 2.5. Overall: This was a perfect vacation! I really loved the people that I met at the resort - both staff and guests. If you visit, you will have a great time! And please do go into town! What we enjoyed doing a couple of times was to walk along the beach (45 min? although please don't quote me on that as it's easy to loose time when the walk is so beautiful). I would recommend this resort to my friends.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Great Service - Great Food

We stayed at the Fiesta Americana from April 1 to April 8. The resort was well kept and everyone was so nice. We dined at the Italian and Asian restaurants a couple of times during the week and the food was always above average. Our room was large and every room had a view of the ocean. Will go back.

Las Palmas by the Sea: fabulous vacation

We were there for 2 weeks just home great time staff amazing. grounds. pool. All staff amazing we will definitely go backmy many thanks to all staff for making our stay so great desk staff so helpful..bartenders maids all great my husband & I will be back for sure hats off to all bartenders!!

Riu Flamingos: Amazing tome

The hotel was clean rooms were great the food the staff the pool area and the overall area was beautiful ,the night life was also good there was lots of things for kids to do and the spa was great and the ocean was fun boogie boarding

Riu Vallarta: Wonderful Place

Considering that the resort had not been upgraded for over 10 years, it is a very nice and clean place to go. Staff is wonderful, food is great and hotel overall is very clean and well kept. Big resort but it doesn't feel big. Not so good for single people. Very family oriented. The negative is that there are not enough chairs by the pool side or beach to accommodate all of the guests. Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Excellent resort

The environment is marvelous. And the distribution of the installation are very friendly. Also the people who work there, from all the positions, are very amiable. In conclusion it is a very relaxing experience.
