Grand Memories Santa Maria: Needs lots of work
I was at Sanctuary grand memories. The beach was amazing pool was good , staff are friendly & helpful. The hotel is in need of work , rooms are very outdated , run down clean as can be …..except the pillow case came off one of my pillows & it was so dirty & black with mold . Staff did well with food with the supplies they had same as the drinks
Melia Las Americas: Amazing Resort
Very clean staff are so sweet they make your stay very very special I recommend this place to anyone who has never been to Cuba and that wants to experience a beautiful place absolutely wonderful people
Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Great Resort - Very Nice Beach.
New hotel with nice gardens and pools. Clean and spacious restaurants, good food in Cuban style! Beautiful beach. Negative: By 6am most beach chairs are "taken" - Nothing new on resorts but hotel could try to take some 'action' to minimize this!
Gran Muthu Rainbow Cayo Guillermo: Amazing resort
This was mine and my husband’s 4th time at this resort it’s an amazing resort with amazing people that’s why we keep coming back to see our Cuban family the food was pretty good for Cuba the infinity pool amazing the beach we didn’t go but a short taxi ride to pillar beach which truly is the most beautiful beach this time we got to go into town to spend the night with our friends at there house had an amazing dinner with them
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: “ Cheap and Cheerfull with No Frills”
The best part about Cayo Coco is the beach. You will not go hungry here with limited options. You just have to find what you like to eat for the week and stick to that. Basic amenities are provided and staff are more than willing to try and meet your needs. Little to no night life if that’s your thing. Lenny’s is a great place to visit if you want to get off the resort. Bugs are a definite problem with no intervention to clear them out.
Melia Internacional: Melia International
It was great just like last year very clean and friendly staff. There was double the entertainment this year and some outdoor barbeques. I would go back again. Best hotel in Varadero. There was also plenty of food with no shortage.
Starfish Jibacoa: Starfish Jibacoa
We did not get the rooms we requested but were compromised with different rooms after 2 days. We have been here 5 years ago and the rooms are still the same, quite shabby and dated, big water stains on the ceiling and broken tiles in the bathroom and missing tiles in the floor under the mat beside the bed. The food was the same every day, some days there was no bread, the ice cream was delicious, the wine was not. One day we had lobster! The reason we returned was because of the location and th [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Great Time But......
We have been to Iberostar's in Cozumel and Punta Cana and these resorts are one of our favourites. We were fully aware of the situation in Cuba and have no complaints about the staff who worked tirelessly to ensure we had a great vacation. The restaurant staff, bar staff and entertainment were amazing. We found the food repetitive but we knew that before going and were never hungry. Bring your own condiments!! There were days we ran out of bread, wine, mixes for the drinks and no buns for the h [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Nice resort.
This resort was quite beautiful. The staff works hard at keeping things clean as far as the lobby and public bathrooms go. The groundskeepers really work hard at keep the resort looking nice with beautiful flowers and greenery. The 3 pools were sparkling and clean and even tho busy, there were lots of loungers to choose a spot. The beach was absolutely beautiful and nice and long for walking on. Lots of loungers there as well. The food- although not terrible was repetitive by the end of the we [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Really great time
As long as you have realistic expectations with what Cuba is going through you will have a great time. We went in with rock bottom expectations since this was our first time ever going to Cuba and we heard about all the shortages. That being said, we had an amazing time. The pools were great. The beach was great and the service I don’t think could have been better. even the food with their shortages really wasn’t that bad. There was lots of food every day and lots of options to choose from it ju [... read more]
Occidental Arenas Blancas: Very good and wide open
We've been there already in November /December of last year and now in April 2024 again. Very close to the beautiful beach and constantly renovations. The staff was great and given the overall situation of shortages in Cuba, the food was plenty.
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Good resort
Too loud especially in the theatre Long line ups for hot food, could wait 20 minutes Room clean, staff very friendly Too big a resort for our liking Beach OK, but not enough lounges One day, no buns and very limited cold meat selection Ran out of red and white wine, 2 days before we left. Cuba is very short on supplies. Tourists should be told to bring American $1.00 bills for tips. Cuba does not accept Cdn. Coins.
Paradisus Los Cayos: Very poor resort for the money we spent
No milk and or yogurt for the children, it was not variety of food, no ramp for strollers, children swimming pool was in repairs, but nobody was working on it, we found out that its been like that for more than a year, people good matters and very helpful, in the snack bar,no french fries, no bread for burgers and or hot dogs, sandwiches cubanos with out ham , only cheese, in washrooms outside the rooms, no toilet paper, in general a 3 out of 10.
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beautiful resort
Grand Aston is a 2 yr old resort on Cayo Paredon. The buildings are beautiful and kept very clean ; lobby, rooms etc. The staff do an excellent job looking after the facility. The pools are clean and refreshing, the beach is groomed every day and the water / swimming is excellent.
Melia Cayo Coco: Excellent return choice
Melia Cayo Coco was an excellent choice, we were a bit worried about supplies in Cuba in the difficult economic times but the resort runs as unaffected. Beach is beautiful and clean, Food is excellent, rooms are clean and getting continuous updates, grounds are kept very well and people are awesome.
Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Lovely resort
Best resort I have ever been to! Everyone is so friendly and go out of their way every single day to make your stay a wonderful experience! The beach is beautiful! I travelled with friends although it is considered an adult couples resort. We enjoyed our trip!
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: A beautiful resort
I was impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The rooms are comfortable, although in our case, we had to physically move a cot that prevented access to one side of the bed. The resort is very large, though well laid out. The beach is gorgeous but lounges in the shade are very close together and must be claimed early. It is a bit of a walk to get there. We found it difficult to find a quiet place for a card game or a conversation. The noise level was incredible!. I was not impressed by [... read more]
Melia Internacional: Amazing resort
Repeat client last visited April17-24. From the moment we arrived until departure, the staff exceeded expectations. Exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making our stay comfortable. Room was spotless, and the facilities were well-maintained. The hotel's cleanliness surpassed my expectations. Amazing beach Highly recommend Meliá internacional varadero
Blau Varadero: Exceptionally Cleaning and Beautiful Beach
We had a fantastic trip to Blau Varadero April 16-23, 2024. The resort was modern but classically designed in the form of a pyramid with glass elevators. Gorgeous but this was irritating at times as there were only 4 elevators for the entire hotel and they were quite small so we often waited or were incredibly crowded. Otherwise a stunning hotel with a gorgeous hanging garden, marble floors, stained glass and walkout pristine white beach. The hotel was the cleanest I’ve experienced in Mexic [... read more]
Brisas Guardalavaca: Beautiful as Always
Brisas Guardalavaca never disappoints. The people are the very best, the beach is perfect and despite some negative reviews we’ve read recently we found the resort to be just as nice and inviting as always. The food is good, we prefer to eat at El Patio near the beach during the day as we love the view and table service. The pasta and stir fry stations in the buffet are nice as well as the fresh fish and chicken/ pork/beef daily. And the fresh breads and ice cream of course. We have been going t [... read more]
