Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Fantastic resort

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: A Piece of Heaven

Fantastic Resort. We had a swim up room, Best room in the house. Lots of food. Wine and an abundance of Champagne. Very Covid safe...masks are mandatory entering and lobby or restaurant and staff wear them 24/7. Definitely recommend this Resort.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Very good resort

Mask are required only when entering the restaurant and during collecting your food. Outside- lobby, pool, beach: no masks. However, personal are wearing masks. Stars of the hotel are matching the quality. Small deficiencies that everyone can find are not important. People running the resort are friendly. Pool is loud from music. Beach is very nice. Ocean super! Food is mainly chicken and fish, plus reasonable fruits and vegies. Highly recommended after 2 years of trauma in Canada. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Lovely people and very nice resort!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were all so very sweet, friendly and most helpful! Staff always wore masks and we felt very safe. The a la Carte restaurants were simply amazing and served delicious meals. The entertainment was above and beyond. So many talented performers. Loved the pool and especially the comfy cabanas! Beautiful beach as well!

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: We loved this resort!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Starfish Cuatro Palmas. The beach was beautiful with white sand and crystal blue waters. The food was great with lots of choices in fresh fruit and veggies. The staff were caring and wonderful. We will be back.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: A lovely resort. Magestic. Wonderful staff

The resort is gorgeous. The adults only is a blessing! I love kiddos, but I have to admit, not having the screaming and yelling was peaceful. Due to Covid the resort was lacking in supplies. There was no wine at meals, no choices of meats at the buffet. No pizza, fries or hot dogs at the the grill. Most of the ala cartes were closed and the beach grill was closed. The last 2 days of our stay the head office folks showed up and voila! Wine at meals, hot dogs and pizza! Drinks were served in prope [... read more]r glasses, beer in frosted beer mugs. We had ketchup and mayo in wee serving dishes. Drink service around the pool! Staff were pulling out chairs for the female guests! A facade put on for the head honchos no doubt, but those 2 days (our last) were quite nice. Too bad it's not a regular habit. And this may be a little thing, but the resort has beautiful fountains everywhere, but only one runs and then not everyday! The rooms are spacious, plenty of hot water, good pressure. Staff are very good. Don't exchange your money into pescos. They take canadian money. And this is odd. They don't accept US money but everything in the gift stores etc are priced in US dollars. All in all it was an enjoyable resort and vacation. I'd try a different place next time though!

Hotel Villa Cuba: amazing staff resort still ok after 5th time

I was surprised the resort had the food a d drinks they did considering the hardship in cuba to find items off resort. the staff continues to be the best it was our 5th time to the resort I would like to see more food variety here it seems to be the same everytime

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Nice resort

The grounds are beautiful, the pool area was great , the rooms could use some work and the entertainment was good.The beach area was awesome. Covid rules were adhered and it felt safe. The food was not very good. The workers were amazing and very friendly and helpful. We were not told about all the events going on and found out about them to late

Hotel Blau Las Morlas Varadero Beach: Wonderful Hotel

This hotel is the perfect size for my wife and I, It consists of 143 rooms and 4 floors. The rooms and hotel areas are kept very clean and orderly. The assistant manager, Isabelita, is an amazing person. She is so friendly and always concerned about her guests and tending to their needs. She is always smiling and sets a great example for her hotel staff, which are also very friendly and helpful. The food is Cuban and Italian with a good plentiful variety and very delicious. The hotel is situated [... read more] on the beautiful clean beach with a 10 minute walk to the town of Varadero. The animation staff can be found at the beach and the pool and are the friendliest people who are always up for fun. From the staff to the bar tenders to the maids, Isabelita has done a terrific job in making sure they are the best. Thank you to all at Los Morlas for an amazing vacation.

The staff were exceptional. The place cleaning standards were excellent. The entertainment was superb!The food is ok. There was no red wine available. The connection to the internet was terrible, customers should be aware of that.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Mediocre Resort

Unfortunately, this hotel didn't impress me much. I'm not a complainer but I'll tell you my opinion and let you judge. The first issue was no coffee maker in the room, which I mentioned to the front desk and they said they would check into. There were 2 coffee cups sitting there and a little dish with 2 spoons but no coffee maker. I need my morning coffee. The only place to get coffee was in the lobby, which was good but it's nice to have a cup without leaving the suite. The second issue was t [... read more]he main restaurant where the buffet is served. I'm assuming the air conditioning was not working because it was very hot in there. As a result, they had all the windows and doors open so there were flies on everything. All over the buffet and all over me and my food while I tried to eat. The staff were very good. The third issue was by the 3rd or 4th day I couldn't leave my room because of severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. Not sure if it was the food or the ice cubes in the drinks. I tried to drink bottled water only but my digestive tract was bleeding by Saturday and I was taking Imodium to make it home. Check out is at noon and the shuttle back to the airport is at 5 and there was no way I was going to spend 5 extra hours sitting in the lobby. I had to pay an extra $100 CAD to keep my room until 4 and have a washroom close by. Also, it's a pretty long walk to get to the beach if you don't upgrade to the Royal plan which is at least another $100 a day per person. The pool turned opaque and there was algae growing on the bottom. I didn't go in but it looked slippery. There was some good entertainment. A guitar duo in the lobby and the band that played on Friday to celebrate Canada. So, this was my take on the hotel. I wouldn't go back.

Hotel Bella Costa: great trip

We always enjoy going to Iberostar Bella Costa hotel because of the people(staff) we got to know over the years at the hotel. The staff as wonderful customer service. We have been to that hotel 5 times and for us it's great. Also we enjoy the selection of food choices and the service. Our rooms are ok, because we are barely in our room during the day. This hotel is close to town so we either go on horse and buggee, double decker bus or taxi. So we enjoy going to town. Due to covid things have changed in the past 2 years in town and all over. For the residents in Cuba lots of products are not available for them and the Cuban money is not worth much. For example they have no toothpaste, milk and many other things. They are thriving because of Covid. We should be greatful and lucky of what we have. With all of this happening in Cuba, the people are very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will probably go back to the same hotel when we go to Cuba.

Melia Internacional: An amazing well run holiday resort.

I chose this Melia because my main concern was COVID safety procedures as well as I wanted a wonderful holiday. Employees wore masks at all times. I was not disappointed. I would congratulate them on the cleanliness of the resort, the well trained friendly staff, the beach and great service they provide to guests. The restaurants were all very good. Always a good variety of choices. The Buffet Restaurant was excellent and safe. Safety rules were strictly enforced. Masks were required to [... read more] enter restaurants and could be removed once seated. As guests left, their tables were immediately wiped down. During the process of choosing your food, servers with tongs filled your plate as you progressed along the buffet. Breakfast was my favorite time because of the of the great cooks at many stations that prepare foods to your liking in front of you. In particular my morning omelette with ham, cheese, green pepper, onions and mushrooms. At other times these stations fried great burgers, fish and chicken. Needless to say, there were also many excellent precooked choices to choose. Lots of great salads and amazing baked goods. I dined at their specialty restaurants 7 nights out of our two week stay. The Japanese was my favorite followed by the Cuban (excellent lamb), Italian (great pizza) and Mexican. Last, the property was beautiful and well maintained. I could go on forever about the beach, pools and lobby bars. Their workers were friendly and happy and made for a great visit. I plan to visit again for two weeks in November.

Melia Las Antillas: Amazing People + Beautiful Beach!!

My first time visiting Cuba and absolutely loved it!! The people are friendly and the beach is BEAUTIFUL. We decided to upgrade to the Junior Suite and were very happy we did!! It allowed us the privilege to meet and be greeted by Elizabeth (Concierge) who was absolutely amazing! We also had the opportunity to meet Naedelys (sp?) who was equally amazing! They take a lot of pride in their hotel :). They are always making sure your needs are being met, and that you are enjoying your vacation.  [... read more] The beach is incredible :) and the staff (Colon, Jorge, Luis and Yuniesky) are wonderful!! I met a few people who were vacationing that had left and came back within months!! Says a lot about their experience P.S. We had some yummy lobster at a little restaurant across the road from the hotel :).

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Ok resort

Melia Peninsula had a nice enough beachfront with lots to do in the water. A little deceiving though because you would think that all the water stuff would be free but it isn’t. The pools were really nice and big and the waterslide was a hit with the kids, but they were not clean they were very dirty especially the adult pool. Lots and lots of walking to go to meals, to pools, and to the beach. Shows were good mostly quite good some a bit silly. Most staff were very accommodating, but at times neglectful. The food was quite bad in the fact that it was redundant every single day there was hardly any changes in the menu at the Buffet. they are very stingy with food at the pool bar, and they didn’t serve wine there which made me sad lol. I would say the front desk staff were not the greatest. Espresso‘s were amazing at the espresso bar and the staff are really good there tooo. The kitchen manager is what made my trip better! He was always checking in on us. Dinner didn’t start till 7 PM! That’s outrageous knowing this is a family resort! I am not sure if I’d go back there but I wouldn’t suggest not going there but it wasn’t my most favourite spot.

Melia Las Americas: Great Place to Golf

This was my 6th time to the resort. Come for one specific reason, to golf. Golf facilities and staff are great, usually play up to 2 rounds per day. Food services are very good, given the circumstances. Hotel has great processes in place to ensure that guest are protected as they can be against COVID-19. Never felt at risk at any point in time while at the facilities. Hotel rooms a little bit dated but always clean, staff keeps them in immaculate condition. Although I come for golfing, would also recommend for those non-golfers. Lots to do or not depending on your own agenda. Looking forward to coming back in November.

Grand Memories Varadero: Very Nice

The hotel was nice. A little out dated but within the week we did see maintenance, painting and upgrades being done. The staff was very friendly. As far as Covid procedures the staff did Their beat to remind people to stay six feet apart and to wear their masks. They did a fantastic job

Staff was extremely friendly at all levels. That friendliness and politeness made our vacation extremely enjoyable. Although COVID, blockade and years without tourists affected the ability to have the same level of food offerings as previous years, the kitchen staff did great work, using effective creativity prepared tasty and great food. The ground was well maintained, the beach is the best in Varadero, and we were staying in 7 different hotels, but this portion of the beach is the best. They could make small improvements in fixing caulking and sealing in bathroom – that can significantly improve impression that we have. Evening Entertainment program was great, in 2 weeks they did not repeat the same program once. Artists were exceptionally good – we enjoyed their performance both weeks. All staff was wearing masks, hand sanitizers were available and functional in multiple locations. They also requested tourists to wear masks in closed areas, in the restaurants, bars all the time except when eating or drinking. You had to wear masks when ordering food or ordering the drinks. We really felt very safe from COVID there.

Melia Las Americas: Wonderful week away!

We were very impressed as to how the hotel handled covid. Masks were mandatory when being served at the buffet. They have added extra staff to accommodate this new process. Everything ran smoothly and wait time was minimal. We did not experience any shortages as we had heard about at other resorts. The hotel management has done an excellent job to keep things running smoothly. The evening entertainment of various different musicians was a nice break from the regular entertainment that you find  [... read more]in other resorts. The beach is very well groomed with many palapas for shade. There was no need to rush down early in the morning to secure a spot as is the case in many other resorts. Golf was very good, renting clubs and a cart is 63 US.

I know things are hard with covid. Trying to restart everything. They are doing a great job. Place is clean / staff great /drinks cold/beach great/ pool warm/. Was nice to get away. Resort at 25 % capacity so shortages but lots to drink and eat. They are doing great job was more then pleased with my trip
