Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: San Marino

Hotel was kept very clean found it dated but good value for this part of Mexico. Location was excellent right on the beach and close to shops restaurants etc. We found we were not eating at the hotel in the evenings ate at the local restaurants.

Crown Paradise Club: Nice family resort.

Overall, a nice resort. Hotel room was clean, service was average-good—it varied from day-to-day, buffet was good, nice large beach area. We bought a day pass to the adult resort since they had nicer lounge area by the beach, but the food choices were not any better... more choices at the family resort.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: i love this place

the service was fantastic. rooms nice and cool. i love the ocean in that area.Pools were clean. We are looking for a place to have a family reunion(40+ people) this is on top of our list.Have had a lot of my family staying here over the years.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Slightly Disappointed

2nd visit here. Service was still awesome and food pretty good. Resort caters to Mexicans. Most of the entertainment was in Spanish. Would have felt better if they translated into english. Can't take resort's beach lounge chairs onto the beach...a recent change apparently enforced by the federal government.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Everything you need!

An authentic Mexican hotel. Great location close to marina. Quick to hop on a bus to go downtown. Beach was nice and very swim able. Loved the food and thought the service was great. I would have like some more things to do in the evening. And the wifi never seemed to work. Very nice staff. Wish I was still there!

Riu Vallarta: Amazing resort!

Great resort, good food, good drinks! Awesome beach! Only suggestion is that the hotel entertainment could use some improvement. Too repetitive. However, I must say that the local bands were really good. They had everyone on the dance floor! Tours were good also. Puerto Vallarta tour was fun and educational. Great way to sample tequila! And, on a final note, I would highly recommend Rhythm of the Night! Amazing show and dinner, as well as the entertainment on the boat. All in all, great trip!

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Very attractively designed resort

Rooms were large and very comfortable. Loved the balcony which had a good view of the resort and ocean. Numerous pools and hot tubs. We were impressed with the quality of the food. All the staff was extremely helpful. Beautiful sunsets and a lovely lobby to sit and watch from. Waves were very strong when we were there, so swimming there was only for the very brave. Beach sand not as nice as other beaches I have been to.

Costa Club Punta Arena: OK

This is a very busy resort, people are everywhere. Not so good for a romantic getaway. Travelled with family so it was just fine. Nice staff, good food and the rooms were basic but clean. The adult pool up top is very nice and not busy. This place is in a great location.

Canto Del Sol: Beautiful hotel

This is a great place to stay. It is very well located, close to downtown and the boardwalk. The pool is lovely and the food at the buffet and the snack bar is very good. The grounds are kept clean and the room is basic but also clean and has everything you need. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Crown Paradise Club: Family fun resort

Check in and out was super easy and quick. The staff at the hotel do an amazing job of keeping everyone happy. Carlos at the breakfast and lunch buffet is absolutely awesome. Rogelio and David are 2 of the best bartenders you will ever meet. The grounds were always clean as were the pools. The maids did a decent job. The vendors on the beach could be annoying though. It was a great stay for our family (17,14,4,1)

Crown Paradise Club: Beautiful resort with amazing staff

Very well maintained resort. Perfect for families and children - lots to do and see! I would definitely go back again. The food was excellent with many choices to pick from. I loved that there was a buffet area just for kids - this resort is geared to all ages, which was very nice.

Playa Los Arcos: Good Location for beach and restaurants

The poolside rooms are excellent.The dinner show was too loud for conversation while dining. We would stay here again because of the convenient location and the atmosphere at poolside and on the beach.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: A total Mexican Experience

Decameron Los Cocos is not a new resort. It's not opulent, glamorous or luxurious but it is immaculately clean, the staff are wonderful and enthusiastic and the experience is not that of an isolated resort but a resort in the heart of the country. It was Easter week, so the beach was packed. A little overwhelming at first, but the resort section was private and not over loaded with guests. If you're social and want to have a great time and still be able to relax, this resort is wonderful. We had two kids (12 years) with us and they couldn't have had a better time. And...the food was really great and the beer was real and the poured drinks were not watered down! Grab a free rental bike from the resort and get out to see the town, the strip and the other sections of the beach. It was perfect for the price we paid, which was very affordable. Enjoy!

Tropicana Hotel: great value

The hotel itself is older but seemed to be clean and well-kept. Restaurant has a very limited menu, but there are many alternatives nearby. Overall this is a bargain, so need to keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Don't expect a luxury resort and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: I loved this resort , just perfect for me

Clean , quiet , helpful staff , l loved that It had ' adult ' only rooms & pool. Evening entertainment outstanding, Very talented people. Bars will make Any drink you want . Food in abundance , and good . I loved , loved The French fries, no one in Canada Makes them better. I did not like the Mexican restaurant but the Mexican Buffet night was outstanding. I will go Definitely go back.

Very happy with my vacation. The resort was very clean and well groomed. Internet access was poor. I would return to the same resort again, I found my stay very relaxing the way it was set up in different groups.

Samba Vallarta: This was a great place to stay

We had a wonderful time biking from the resort into Bucerias, and down to Paradise Plaza, then around the area. Walking the beach was terrific. The resort was wonderful- when we got there we received a free upgrade to a junior suite- I felt like we had the best room in the house.

Great staff - Cesar (mgr) helped us with our room. Rooms clean. Food good. Hotel/grounds maintained. Location good to OK. Beach club was good but there needed to be more variety with the food....got tired of just hamburgers & fries! Having just one pool wasn't good, needless to say we spent a lot of time at the beach! Bar by the pool open too late - too noisy, especially as most rooms are close to this area. Flying out of Abbotsford was a bonus. Flying with WestJest was disappointing. Not as go [... read more]od as a few years ago. No meals were provided! Flying down our seats did not recline but the seats in front did to within a few inches of us! No leg room, seating was too cramped. Flying back we had more leg room (by exit) but again our seats did not recline.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Charming Resort

The food, the service. the staff were amazing. If you can stay at the main resort it has an adult only pool with a bar and restaurant, it is a quaint little fishing village, if you can handle the hour bus ride it is totally worth the ride. the town has lots of shops only a few minutes walk. If you enjoy a larger venue on Mondays there is a market in town. and on Thursdays there is an even larger market in La Penita very inexpensive cab ride. This hotel was rated as a 4 star, but was definitely a 3! This is the first trip I have been on that by the end of 7 days I was actually looking forward to going home. Our first room was terrible (old and dirty)! Luckily they were willing to move us 2 days later. Even then rooms were basic (no fridge, either to hot or too cold, one water bottle a day and only had clean glasses on the first day). The food selection was minimal and not good at all! The activities (pool, beach, theatre, disco) were really good! Beach was beautiful! A lot of beach chairs near the pools and beach, could always find a place to spend the day in the sun or shade. Service was very good and staff was very friendly! Was a much older crowd and a lot of families. This was fine, but not quite what we were expecting. Appeared to be a popular local attraction as well and when there were more local people it seemed that the tourist population was catered to a lot less, which was disappointing. Although we were disappointed we were in MEXICO :) and made the best of it and had some fun and got great tans.
