Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great time!

Beautiful vacation resort. So much great food to eat, wonderful and friendly service from the staff and a clean beach to lounge at. We all enjoyed a kayaking adventure as well as other services the resort offers (scuba diving lesson, snorkeling). Riu Negril: Amazing resort, wonderful staff!

The grounds were kept immaculate! Everyone was very friendly & helpful. We went with my 4 & almost 2 year old, there was a lot of walking, but beautiful sights to see & a gorgeous beach! All the staff were wonderful & kind. They knew my kids’ names & were always greeting them! The food was delicious, we loved the jerk chicken hut on the beach! Excellent trip, we’ll definitely be back!

Couples Negril: Loved Couples Negril best of all Couples properties

Couples resorts are hands down the best. We have now visited all 4. Each resort is special and wonderful. This property is our favorite. It checks all our boxes. Location, service, excursions, accommodations

Couples Tower Isle: Fabulous Resort

Just recently returned from our trip to Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We were there the first week of November 2018 and booked via the Tripcentral web site. This was our second trip to a couples resort, the first being to San Souci in Nov 2015. Arrival at Montego Bay airport was on time and we had cleared customs, retrieved luggage and were in the couples lounge at the airport in under 30 minutes. Arrival at the lobby, we were welcomed by friendly staff at reception, given a rum punch and a cold towel.Check in was just a few minutes and we were off to our room (garden view in building 3, 2nd floor). The room was very quiet at night for sleeping. Some rooms and the main hallway had a lot of painting going on during the day. Elevators were available in this building for those with mobility issues. The room was spotless when we arrived. It had a large bed, balcony with 2 chairs and a table, washroom with a shower (no tub), vanity as well as a hair dryer and some soaps/shampoo. It also had a large walk-in closet to store luggage and the safe was located here along with an ironing board and iron. The room also had a mini fridge that was stocked with pop, water, some juice and two Red Stripes. You could also order full bottles of wine and liquor delivered to your room at no charge, but also available at extra cost were more expensive brands of wine and liquor. One comment I heard a lot about Tower Isle is how much people like that everything is connected to the main building. There are elevators for those who have difficulty with stairs. If it is raining you will not get wet (unless you are walking to the Bayside restaurant). There were lots of people who were repeat visitors. Staff I have to say the people who work here at the resort were very friendly to visit with and very attentive. This was a common comment I heard all week from other guests, but I would completely agree with. Very nice people. Food / Drinks We were fortunate enough to enjoy all of the restaurants at Tower Isle. We did not order room service but it was available. Our favourite restaurant was Bayside, as we love to eat out in the open air in the Caribbean and it was built out over the ocean. Food at all venues was excellent. The Patio (also open air) for daily breakfast buffet was more than adequate to start the day, while we varied it a bit between the Pool Grill for lunch and the Veggie Bar for snacks. Service was good in all restaurant venues. Loved the soup’s, we tried them every day. The patio converts to a served meal for dinner service and the other great option to eat was the Verandah. Eight Rivers is the more formal restaurant (dress code) and was also excellent. Martini bar is on the roof, Sundays and Wednesday’s. Gala was on Saturday, Beach Party and Repeaters dinner was on Monday’s. All fun events and well run. Loved the nacho’s and ice cream in the Pool Grill daily. Entertainment We took in some of the entertainment but we turn in a bit early to get up early. What we saw was very good. The steel drum Silverbirds were there one night and throughout the week they had a lot of different singers, all very good, but we missed a lot of it due to our dinner eating times or we headed over to the spa for some hot tub and mineral pool time before turning in. Island The Au Natural island can be visited early in the morning if you want to go over with clothing on and just look around and take some pictures. It converts to Au Natural around 9am until about 5pm. Catch the pontoon boat at the pier and they will take you over and bring you back. I don’t think we ever waited longer than a minute or two for the pontoon boat at either end of the trip. The island has lots of loungers, a small pool to cool down in, a well stocked bar, lots of shade if needed, a washroom. They also bring over some food and have a bbq there as well for lunch. The entertainment staff also run a game or two over there during the day. They Have some music playing at the bar. Loved watching the crabs climb on the rocks. The island was only closed one day for us due to weather, so we did a trading places to Sans Souci. It can also close early if a wedding Is set up. Check with guest services to find out which days they have weddings planned. Spa We enjoyed the hot tub and the mineral pool in the evening at the spa. Hot tub first then cool down in the mineral pool. Great way to end the day. Part of the reason we missed some of the entertainment. Take a towel. Trading Places We ended up trading places one day as the island was closed due to high winds. So we boarded the shuttle bus that Will take you over to Sans Souci from about 10:00am until about 4:00pm. We loved visiting Sans Souci again. Drinks and lunch were good as was the pool volleyball. Looking back, the things that really stood out for Tower Isle were the dining, the friendly staff and all of the nice people we were lucky enough to meet from Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom and a couple from Germany. We will definitely return for a visit some day and I would also recommend it to others.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Bahia principe Jamaica

Everything was great, we wished for my of the Jamaican culture actually on the reaort. As well as more friendly attendants in stores. 2 men were very rude to use while shopping. Also the exchange rate was terrible at the hotel. ( cash attendant was very rude when I was asking questions, front desk.)

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Nice resort

This resort is nice, grounds were well kept and rooms were clean. The beach was great with lots of palapas and chairs, always able to find a spot. Pools were nice with lots of loungers. The restaurant foods were good but being a family resort they don't accommodate larger groups. We had 11 of us and every time we went to eat they never sat us together even though we requested table seating for 11. That was disappointing. Kids loved the water park with the lazy river which is a nice feature.

Riu Reggae: Good resort

We thought the hotel was very clean, rooms were nice a d clean. Long walks back and forth to room if you weren't on 1st floor.no coffee maker in rooms just booze. Entertainment was very good as was food. Overall not a bad hotel

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Great Resort for the whole family.

The pool and beach are fabulous and they are only steps away from each other allowing ease of access all day long to both without having to pack up and move each time. The rooms are great and if you upgrade to Diamond Club you will not be disappointed. Our butlers George and Melissa made this vacation one of the best for our family. They professionalism and promptness were on point and the service is at par with Sandals. Pool activities were engaging and fun and always included the kids.

Riu Ocho Rios: What an Experience

I went to The Riu in October ‘2018 fabulous weather the grounds were emaculate and well kept. Friendly staff always accommodating,who went above and beyond. If you wanted your room cleaned it would be done after your day off fun. I liked the fact that there were always lots to do and the excursions were amazing!

Royalton Blue Waters: great resort

Food is good, but the hotel is small. share facilities with Royalton White Sands. Many activities, however it always during the nights. If you want to sleep at that time, it will be noisy. The beach is clean, but it is crowded.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Perfect resort for kids!

This resort was nice and small which was perfect for kids. I never worried my son would get lost. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Water park was great especially the lazy river. Food was mostly all delicious. We really enjoyed the Jade restaurant and the beach grill. Hamburgers were our favorites!

Riu Reggae: Great Resort

This was a girlfriend week. Right from the start check in was easy and fast.. We both have trouble walking that is why we chose this hotel. Everything was close restaurants, bars, pool, beach.The entertainment staff are fabulous they worked from morning to night to make sure everyone was happy. All staff are great to many to mention . One thing that impressed me was that staff new your name.Never had that happen before.overall we had a great vacation . Can't wait to return. JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Not a luxury hotel!

Dont let the name fool you, this is not luxury. The Grand was built 7 years ago but it is quite dated. Food is good, beach full of seaweed. For the price we paid, we should stayed at a Sandals resort.

Hedonism II: Honeymoon in Hedo II

Had an amazing honeymoon, service was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend checking the main lobby video screen for daily events and theme night updates. The Piano Bar is really fun with Winston, Dave and Stephanie. Agustus who rakes and cleans the prude beach was very nice. We also had massages by Marjorie and Keolisha who were amazing!

Sandals Dunn's River: Resort and Staff Are Great But

My wife and I are seniors and we decided this year to give Jewel Dunns River a try so we booked two weeks . On arrival everything was what was expected of a first class Hotel The one problem we ran across was MUSIC choices and VOLUMES we asked several times to tone down also to give a better mix however we we nor successful it got so bad that we spoke with the Hotel Manager she was very helpful but could do little to change the problem . We advised we were not about to spend another week listeni [... read more]ng to loud unintelligible music (noise) we asked to be moved to another Hotel . It ended up that we moved on the Sat over to Jewel Paradise Cove it proved a lot better set up . The MC's in charge of music took requests and had a better mix . Conclusion if your Seniors looking for peace and quite this is not the Jewel Dunns River is not the best choice .

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Resort with Even Amazing Workers

Such a wonderful resort with many great things to write about. The rooms were beautiful and were cleaned twice a day.. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon, with evening chocolates left in the evening! We had a junior suite in block 26.. Could see the ocean from our room, but wasn't an oceanfront view, but was still beautiful. The food was amazing. We did not book our a la carte restaurants prior to arriving, which we should have. We met people down there that did and they had better lu [... read more]ck getting in to the ones that they wanted. However, the buffet was amazing and we could have ate there every night, if needed. The omelettes in the morning... Amazing! I can't say any more positive things about this place!! We can't wait to go back next year!! We spent the majority of our time by the pool, and enjoyed the entertainment portion during the day, but were in bed early each night so can't comment on the evening entertainment. We did hear that the Beach Party was great though! Again, it's an amazing resort!!

Jewel Paradise Cove: Excellent time

Let’s start with the spectacular grounds. So lush and well kept. Rooms were clean and bathrooms are incredible! Staff was extremely friendly and bartenders especially. Shows were well done and you always had something to do! The food was amazing! I’ve never ate so well on a trip ever!! Beaches were well kept and snorkeling off the little beach was always fun :)

Jewel Paradise Cove: Changed since new ownership

We went to this resort in October 2017. Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. The resort very clean, the food and alcohol were excellent. Everyone working in the resort greeted us with a smile. Although the beach is very small and like the name, enclosed in a cove, the resort had a glass bottom boat that took us out to the ocean and guests could snorkel - no charge. We went back this October (2018) and although the employees all work hard to keep the place clean and look after the [... read more] guests there are many changes that have taken place since new ownership in June. The alcohol drinks are mostly ice. Not blaming the bartenders, they serve what is supplied to them by Management. I asked for a plain Vodka (in a Smirnoff bottle) and it smelled like rubbing alcohol. We had to go out of the resort a couple of times to find name brand alcohol that we could drink. A lot of other guests did the same. The buffet wasnt the same. We didnt starve but there wasnt anything that impressed. The Italian restaurant had delicious lamb chops and desserts with great service. The glass bottom boat now costs $ 30.00 American, per person. We went out of the resort to Sharkies. Its not too far and right on a beautiful beach. It was the only time we had decent fish. My husband had the red snapper and I got the grilled lobster. Also their rum and cokes actually had liquor. Last year the entertainment team were more involved in the nightly entertainment. They would do a "before the show" and get guests involved either on stage or get up and dance. This wasnt the case this year. Very low key. They did have outside groups that came to entertain and they were good. No music during the afternoon by the pool to get people moving. Just a disappointment to see subtle changes in just a few months of new ownership.

Sunset at the Palms: A bit of paradise

This hotel is something very different. Cabins in the jungle garden...Listening to tree frogs all night. Small enough where you get to know all the wonderful friendly staff. And a lot of new friends as well. Food is good. Entertainment nightly. The beach is clean and water so clear and calm. Just get on a floatie and you're in paradise. If you are tired of the big resorts this is definitely the place for you. We will be back.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Fabulous Resort

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and amazing food. Every night there was wonderful entertainment to enjoy. The beaches were beautiful and relaxing not very deep for swimming. If you wanted to swim you would have to walk further down on the beach to find a spot where you would be able to swim. We will definitely return to this resort.
