Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: very nice resort

This resort was well run. clean. Friendly staff. pools were great. The beach was not great. It is man made. Too many rocks and too much seaweed for me. Others seemed to enjoy it. food was good at the buffet. We did not try the a la carte restaurants. The bus ride fro the airport was 90 minutes. too long for me but there is no option.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing resort!

Loved this hotel. It was clean updated, food was great diffrent type of food every night and the staff was always friendly and willing to help. The beach was amazing crytal clear. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

Sandals Montego Bay: Honeymoon in Montego Bay

Hotel was good (bad location because of the airport noise), very nice, spacious beach with many water activities, food was clean and made okay but, not much variety. for Adult resort I was expecting activities until at least midnight, all activities finishes around 10 pm and it wasn't that good, Beer selection is very poor, they only have their Red Stripe and Heineken considering %75 of their customers are from US and Canada. The trip costs $7,000 Canadian dollars and honestly it shouldn't bee [... read more]r more than $3,500 max, we got the club Sandals level (the upgraded level) for better service (which we didn't receive). Their staff is very poorly managed, anytime I look at a Supervisor or a manager I see them playing with their phones and in the mean time their employees running around and not knowing what to do even at their a La Carte restaurants. most of the mornings I had to go out of my room and ask the employees to keep it down because of the joking and noise they are making at early morning hours. I was calling room service daily because they forgot to refill soap, shampoo, fridge....etc. I spoke with one of their club Sandals managers and she said she will have it corrected and Apologize, same day the cleaning lady came over and forgot to place Body shower and hand soap (which they didn't place a new hand soap for a week). The resort is right behind the airport and I would not recommend anyone to stay their because of the noise all day long from airplanes take off.

Riu Reggae: Amazing resort!

Above and beyond our expectations. Grounds were kept impeccable each day all staff was so friendly from bar staff to the cleaners to the grounds maintenance. Entertainment staff was friendly and each morning they went around the entire resort to say good morning to everyone. It was a nice touch! Buffet was awesome for every meal. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: A relaxing vacation

We had no issues at all this trip. The grounds are well kept, the rooms were simple but clean and there was no lack of tasty food. As a wheelchair traveler we occasionally run into the odd curb or entrance that is an impediment to travel but this was not the case here. While the ramps may be steep and not always close, they are there and usable. There were no issues entering any of the ares of the resort we wanted to visit. There are a couple of floating beach wheelchairs available but we d [... read more]id not use them this trip. We saw several guests in wheelchairs and never heard any complaints. The beaches are small and inaccessible near the Luxury side but on the Grand side they were hard packed and usable. The food was tasty and plentiful and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We had issues with staff cellphone use last time we stayed here but it looks like that has been addressed. We have other places to try but would happily return to LBPRB.

Riu Ocho Rios: Fabulous Resort

My family and I went to this resort for the first time. At the front desk we were greeted by Leighton he was super helpful and had an amazing personality. The beach was amazing, and our room was perfect for my disabled sister and so was my parent's room. Everyone at the resort was pleasant. The food was amazing and tasty. As for the jerk chicken on the beach it was delicious. As for entertainment it was top notch. Crazy Jerry was fabulous as well as all the other entertainers at the Riu.  [... read more] We had a really good vacation and it is a really clean resort.

Secrets Wild Orchid: Disappointed

The hotel and grounds were fine. Room was very nice. Minus the extremely dark elevators. Service across the entire hotel was horrible. Including daily stocking of room fridge. There’s confusion with regard to tips. Site says gratuity included and as such not budgeted for. However, tipping is allowed and service goes from bad to horrible if your not tipping. Food was nothing special especially at the beach (seaside grill). Best meal was our romantic dinner on the beach. With all that  [... read more]said I will say that my wife and I had a very calm and relaxing vacation in Jamaica. After all we were in Jamaica and in the sun. I love Jamaica and usually love the people of Jamaica. I can tell you that the shuttle ride back to the airport was full of very unsatisfied customers. A few of which said they plan to never return to Jamaica at all. Never mind a secrets resort. Not good.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Amazing stuff

Hotel is nice, however there is some things that can use improvement. Bad is hard, also smoking area can use some cushions on stone bench, as it is not pleasant to sit on the stone. Food was good, but we were expecting more choices of Jamaican food, sea food. Hotel is very clean, room is nice, specious, balcony can have chairs with cushions. Sunscape Splash: Good resort!

The hotel was good. The room was clean, comfortable beds and pillows. The food was good, buffet can get a bit repetitive but no complaints. The a la cartes were mediocre, the sea side grill for supper was my favorite. Drinks were very good. Beach was great but our last few days there were jelly fish so we didnt swim in the ocean. We are repeat customers and noticed a few things not as good as previous visits. All in all it was a good vacation

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Very good

Perfect size. Grounds lovely. Would go back.food was ok. Breakfast bar was good. Disappointed with your choice of white wine, not good.there was no Canadian rye whisky. Drinks of the day very good. Staff were amazing, they were great. I would recommend it to friends.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Resort - Adult Only

This is our second time at this resort. It is difinitely a 5 star! The resort is beautiful and the service is excellent. They go out of their to help you. Food is excellent and the Steak House is to die for. Nightly shows were awesome 👏 Beach is very nice but we were at the pool each day. Daily entertainment was good.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great time!

Beautiful vacation resort. So much great food to eat, wonderful and friendly service from the staff and a clean beach to lounge at. We all enjoyed a kayaking adventure as well as other services the resort offers (scuba diving lesson, snorkeling). Rooms are kept clean (no unexpected guests), hallways, elevators, lobby, pool, everything was well maintained. Evenings were filled with much entertainment. Beach Party was a blast. Riu Negril: Amazing resort, wonderful staff!

The grounds were kept immaculate! Everyone was very friendly & helpful. We went with my 4 & almost 2 year old, there was a lot of walking, but beautiful sights to see & a gorgeous beach! All the staff were wonderful & kind. They knew my kids’ names & were always greeting them! The food was delicious, we loved the jerk chicken hut on the beach! Excellent trip, we’ll definitely be back!

Couples Negril: Loved Couples Negril best of all Couples properties

Couples resorts are hands down the best. We have now visited all 4. Each resort is special and wonderful. This property is our favorite. It checks all our boxes. Location, service, excursions, accommodations

Couples Tower Isle: Fabulous Resort

Just recently returned from our trip to Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We were there the first week of November 2018 and booked via the Tripcentral web site. This was our second trip to a couples resort, the first being to San Souci in Nov 2015. Arrival at Montego Bay airport was on time and we had cleared customs, retrieved luggage and were in the couples lounge at the airport in under 30 minutes. We waited in the lounge for about 20 minutes, time for two Red Stripes and to us [... read more]e the washroom and we were off for about a 2 hour drive to the resort. Arrival at the lobby, we were welcomed by friendly staff at reception, given a rum punch and a cold towel.Check in was just a few minutes and we were off to our room (garden view in building 3, 2nd floor). The room was very quiet at night for sleeping. Some rooms and the main hallway had a lot of painting going on during the day. Elevators were available in this building for those with mobility issues. The room was spotless when we arrived. It had a large bed, balcony with 2 chairs and a table, washroom with a shower (no tub), vanity as well as a hair dryer and some soaps/shampoo. It also had a large walk-in closet to store luggage and the safe was located here along with an ironing board and iron. The room also had a mini fridge that was stocked with pop, water, some juice and two Red Stripes. You could also order full bottles of wine and liquor delivered to your room at no charge, but also available at extra cost were more expensive brands of wine and liquor. One comment I heard a lot about Tower Isle is how much people like that everything is connected to the main building. There are elevators for those who have difficulty with stairs. If it is raining you will not get wet (unless you are walking to the Bayside restaurant). There were lots of people who were repeat visitors. Staff I have to say the people who work here at the resort were very friendly to visit with and very attentive. This was a common comment I heard all week from other guests, but I would completely agree with. Very nice people. Food / Drinks We were fortunate enough to enjoy all of the restaurants at Tower Isle. We did not order room service but it was available. Our favourite restaurant was Bayside, as we love to eat out in the open air in the Caribbean and it was built out over the ocean. Food at all venues was excellent. The Patio (also open air) for daily breakfast buffet was more than adequate to start the day, while we varied it a bit between the Pool Grill for lunch and the Veggie Bar for snacks. Service was good in all restaurant venues. Loved the soup’s, we tried them every day. The patio converts to a served meal for dinner service and the other great option to eat was the Verandah. Eight Rivers is the more formal restaurant (dress code) and was also excellent. Martini bar is on the roof, Sundays and Wednesday’s. Gala was on Saturday, Beach Party and Repeaters dinner was on Monday’s. All fun events and well run. Loved the nacho’s and ice cream in the Pool Grill daily. Entertainment We took in some of the entertainment but we turn in a bit early to get up early. What we saw was very good. The steel drum Silverbirds were there one night and throughout the week they had a lot of different singers, all very good, but we missed a lot of it due to our dinner eating times or we headed over to the spa for some hot tub and mineral pool time before turning in. Island The Au Natural island can be visited early in the morning if you want to go over with clothing on and just look around and take some pictures. It converts to Au Natural around 9am until about 5pm. Catch the pontoon boat at the pier and they will take you over and bring you back. I don’t think we ever waited longer than a minute or two for the pontoon boat at either end of the trip. The island has lots of loungers, a small pool to cool down in, a well stocked bar, lots of shade if needed, a washroom. They also bring over some food and have a bbq there as well for lunch. The entertainment staff also run a game or two over there during the day. They Have some music playing at the bar. Loved watching the crabs climb on the rocks. The island was only closed one day for us due to weather, so we did a trading places to Sans Souci. It can also close early if a wedding Is set up. Check with guest services to find out which days they have weddings planned. Spa We enjoyed the hot tub and the mineral pool in the evening at the spa. Hot tub first then cool down in the mineral pool. Great way to end the day. Part of the reason we missed some of the entertainment. Take a towel. Trading Places We ended up trading places one day as the island was closed due to high winds. So we boarded the shuttle bus that Will take you over to Sans Souci from about 10:00am until about 4:00pm. We loved visiting Sans Souci again. Drinks and lunch were good as was the pool volleyball. Looking back, the things that really stood out for Tower Isle were the dining, the friendly staff and all of the nice people we were lucky enough to meet from Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom and a couple from Germany. We will definitely return for a visit some day and I would also recommend it to others.

Everything was great, we wished for my of the Jamaican culture actually on the reaort. As well as more friendly attendants in stores. 2 men were very rude to use while shopping. Also the exchange rate was terrible at the hotel. ( cash attendant was very rude when I was asking questions, front desk.)

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Nice resort

This resort is nice, grounds were well kept and rooms were clean. The beach was great with lots of palapas and chairs, always able to find a spot. Pools were nice with lots of loungers. The restaurant foods were good but being a family resort they don't accommodate larger groups. We had 11 of us and every time we went to eat they never sat us together even though we requested table seating for 11. That was disappointing. Kids loved the water park with the lazy river which is a nice feature.

Riu Reggae: Good resort

We thought the hotel was very clean, rooms were nice a d clean. Long walks back and forth to room if you weren't on 1st floor.no coffee maker in rooms just booze. Entertainment was very good as was food. Overall not a bad hotel

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Great Resort for the whole family.

The pool and beach are fabulous and they are only steps away from each other allowing ease of access all day long to both without having to pack up and move each time. The rooms are great and if you upgrade to Diamond Club you will not be disappointed. Our butlers George and Melissa made this vacation one of the best for our family. They professionalism and promptness were on point and the service is at par with Sandals. Pool activities were engaging and fun and always included the kids.

Riu Ocho Rios: What an Experience

I went to The Riu in October ‘2018 fabulous weather the grounds were emaculate and well kept. Friendly staff always accommodating,who went above and beyond. If you wanted your room cleaned it would be done after your day off fun. I liked the fact that there were always lots to do and the excursions were amazing!
