The Pyramid Cancun: Wonderful Resort

Recommend Pyramid vs Oasis. Food and amenities are amazing this way with access to many high end restaurants. They don’t advertise VIP status for Pyramid clients. Find rep to discover. There are many food huts for easy eating all day. Ocean clean but mostly red flags. Could have more chairs. Many pools. Much entertainment at all times. Wouldnt offer two beds just a king. Comfy bed and room.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Huge resort. Well done.

The Riu Palace is the flagship of the three Riu resorts in Cabo. We stayed there Jan 9-16. The resort is well staffed and kept very clean. No problem finding a chaise at any time of day. We ate at the main buffet most days. wide selection of foods and well stocked. We tried the Gourmet and Steak a la cartes and were pleased with the quality of food and service. The a la cartes opened earlier than the buffet restaurant and were on a first come basis. We enjoyed the solo musicians in the main bar area. All in all, very nice resort.

Crown Paradise Golden: Worst place I have ever visited. Would not recommend.

This place is run down. Starting for the door staff being not polite or helpful at all. Once we got our room, we started realizing the terrible mistake booking this place was. Room reeked of mold and was not cleaned well. Half the place was broken down, pool had no heating, coffee machines were broken, elevator would go to our floor on first try. There was no safe, it had to be requested. Entertainment was not good, sounds was horrible. Pool was always blasting techno music from 8AM (many rooms  [... read more]have a view to the pool so It gets loud in them). Restaurants had really bad tasting food. Gym had bunch of machines broken. Room service was extra charged (this was an all inclusive booking). One good thing was that many people from the staff were very kind and helpful. City is great to explore.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Nice resort

The Hotel is nice clean and the food was great but the check out was not good we checked out on time and they gave us a ticket for our return transfer to the airport took that to the bell hop and they asked us to wait a few moments after 10 min we went back and he said oh you missed your transfer you will have to pay for a taxi now which cost $20 us to the airport we went to westjet desk at the resort no one there to help we had no choice but to pay for a taxi or be late for our plane this rea [... read more]lly needs to be rectified at the resort level or tour operator level or both very disappointing on all levels to have to go thru that stress on your way home , what if we didnt have the cash then what????

NYX Hotel Cancun: Fantastic hotel nyx

Well greeted as we arrived. Food is fantastic. The rooms are clear entertainment was very fun. Beach service was excellent. We were there 4 times and we are going back for our fifth fantastic little hotel.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nice resort

It is a large resort so there is lots of walking. Except for the lack of loungers I don’t have anything bad to say about this place. The workers are great especially Paula who works a lot outside of the Black & White bar. She is friendly and has great English.

Riu Santa Fe: Riu never disappoints me !!

Riu is always a 5 star experience. I have been going on vacation for 45 years and have never been disappointed with the riu team. The resorts are very clean and updated. I have always enjoyed the food choices and the quality of food. I have not been to many other resorts but the riu. I went to the riu mazatlan last year for 2 weeks that place needs a upgrade. But I still enjoyed it.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Amazing resort!

We had the most incredible time at bluebay, the staff was very friendly, the food & drinks were wonderful! Our favourite part was the lagoon just 5 minutes to the left of the resort & spending our days at the pool! We will definitely be back.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Resort was good!

Overall the resort was good. However, a few things would improve the resort: Rooms needs to be upgraded, Hard to find chairs on the beach unless you go out at 6am, Chairs were old and broken, The grill food was not very fresh as it would be sitting for a while, Other than disco which catered to young adults, no other entertainment for adults. Theatre show same old as every other resort. Staff was very friendly and hard working. Beach was the best part of the resort.

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Good resort

It was a pretty good hotel. Food was great. The only improvement would be more adult quiet spaces and also more shaded beach chairs. Also, some better evening entertainment options would be nice. Perhaps have a little relief from kids.

Krystal Grand Cancun: Amazing trip!

My partner and I spent 7 days over the Christmas break at Krystal Grand Cancún and it was absolutely amazing! Both of us are vegan and the staff were so accommodating and prepared special meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We never went hungry and were completely satisfied with the food options Jacobo prepared for us. The restaurant supervisors, Luisa and Josias took very good care of us and were attentive to all of our needs and dietary restrictions. We loved seeing them each day. You could [... read more] tell the chefs took pride in the challenge to create vegan meals that were high end and complex, and every meal was different than the last. Each meal had a protein which historically was a challenge for us when attending other resorts. The service was very good all around, room was beautiful and the beach was clean. 10/10 would recommend and definitely would return.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: DISAPPOINTING HOLIDAY

The resort sells itself as a 4 star resort with and Adult/Privilege option. We upgraded to the privilege option at the resort because we realized the standard we booked would be subpar. With the privilege they assign you a "BUTLER". Who is simply there as the gatekeeper to the al-la carte restaurants. YOU MUST BOOK through him/her to get reservations at restaurants. The view amazing from the 4th floor. As we don't mind walk stairs or taking the elevators. In fact, this was not a privilege room since we didn't have a hot tub on the balcony. The water pressure was weak. MINI bar was fully stocked with beer pop and water, booze not so much The grounds are beautiful, covered walkways, romantic pathways, lovely large pools 4 to be exact. 1 party pool one quiet and for kids and then the Adult section. No shortage of chairs no shortage of drinks. The privilege section had its own sunbathing area, which got full. still plenty room around pool. The beach was super. Wide super soft sand. Beach chairs were available under the palapas, but by afternoon on a sunny day not available.( we unfortunately had five days of cloud and some rain, so sunny days the beach was packed. The location of the hotel was great has you could walk for kilometers. The water was rough on most days so the water is not blue or clear, but this is Mexico. They did a good job, with an old MASSEY FERGUSSEN tractor, to remove the sea grasses that would wash up. The privilege dining area was new and very comfortable. The views awesome as it was next to the sea. and the AL FRESCO breakfasts and lunches were memorable. NOW THE BAD: THE FOOD was bad to mediocre and sometimes non existent. I give it an F. The al la carte breakfast and lunches were ok. PORTIONS small and often lacked flavour. Salt and pepper nowhere to be found. The coffee was like they used rebrewed coffee grinds even the espressos and other specialty drinks were yuk. AND Mexico has good coffee. The Buffet had no variety, small portions, and lacked abundance. For a 600 room hotel that had 80% occupancy there should have been many many choices. The food available had no flavour and was subpar quality. I'm in Mexico and wish to see guacamole at every meal. They had some at the buffet but it soooo SPICY even the locals didn't touch it. The a-la-carte restaurants were not much better. They get a C for overall service, the house wine was like vinaigrette and the salad dressing was like wallpaper paste or non existent, they get a B for presentation. They are renovated and new but lack ambience, the decor is mismatched and missing the WOW factor that they are trying to convey. SERVICE: ABSOLUTLEY the worst ever. The staff are great and friendly until u complain. The total lack of organization and service protocol is a joke. THIS COMES from management and not the staff themselves. You will have been greeted by three staff and still NO menu, NO coffee, and NO drinks. once you order you will again get one item from one staff another from another and down the line it goes. And yet ask for ketchup, nobody brings it. ask for a spoon nobody brings it. HALF the time we received only half of what we ordered. Like they are controlling the food you consume. The BUTLER thing is also nonsense. If you don't have one then you will never eat the al la carte restaurants. If you ask for a reservation on your own the answer will be not until 9.00pm, then you walk by at 7.30 pm and the place is empty. THEIR idea of trying to convey exclusivity wears very thin for people that want to relax and be not adhere to their schedule. I'm happy to give them advise on how to manage turnovers in a restaurant setting. ENTERTAINMENT: They have a great team and try to engage the kids alot. They do a good job as there are alot of kids all ages. The shows themselves, Amateurish. I give it B for effort but C for quality. My OVERALL opinion is I won't come back and I like to be a repeat guest. I paid 5 stair price and received 3 star service and food quality. The location is the best as it was close to the airport and PUERTO MORALES which is enchanting and has a great music scene and night life.  But my vacation is about service and food quality.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Beautiful Beach

Hotel was great, very clean and just the basics. Food was good, staff was wonderful. Needed more staff behind the bar. Beach and pool were top notch! White sand and turquoise blue water, can't asked for anything more. Word of advice: if you are going to the cenote's across the street, please don't take a cab ($50U.S.). They are literally across the street.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: last trip to the Hacienda

the resort is well kept, the staff are fabulous, the food every meal was cold , cold scrambled eggs , cold roasted potatoes . better like hotdogs . this has been my go to location for every vacation opportunity since 1999, approximately7 times . I am self-employed and can not vacation on a regular basis. when I do it has always be the Hacienda. sad to say that will be my last .

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Our Best All-Inclusive Ever!

My husband and I recently returned from a one-week stay at the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort, a sister property to the Caribe, and with access to the Colonial and Tropical resorts. We were originally booked at the Caribe, but our flight delay left us arriving at 2AM, when the front desk of the Beach was open but not the Caribe. There was no need for any concern, as the sister resorts are nearly identical, aside from the Beach having a small adults-only pool and bar (El Cielito) near our ground-fl [... read more]oor room in Tulum. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, aside from rowdy guests in the hallways for a couple of nights. The air conditioning worked well, there was a safe and mini-fridge which was stocked daily, including bottles of water and cans of beer and soft drinks. We loved the rainfall shower head, and the option to take a bath as well, with the toilet separated by a wall for privacy (though not complete privacy, if siblings or friends are sharing the room). We loved the buffet restaurants, with plenty of variety and healthy options including soups, salads, sandwich meats and multiple cheeses, as well as pork, chicken, beef, and seafood options. There is a small vegan section as well, and two lower buffets set up for children, including small desserts. We tried 3 specialty restaurants, which for us were a change of atmosphere and more personalized service. We found the food quality to be very good to excellent wherever we went, except during off hours at the beach Rancho Grande, where I found the food can be dry under the warming lights. There was much available shade around the pools as well as from palm trees on the beach. Beach lounger availability varied through our stay: there are more than enough loungers for everyone if people don't hog them/play the "chair game". The sand was not as soft and deep as it was at other resorts we've been to, but for just relaxing and listening to the sound of the waves it was perfect for us. People were snorkeling frequently, and water sports were available on days when the breeze wasn't too strong. We enjoyed Strikers Sports bar for its air conditioning and fun atmosphere, which I believe may be open 24 hours/day. There is free mini-golf during the day. The Maya Mall includes the Italian and Tokyo restaurants. Location is approx. 60 minutes from Cancun airport. We had a very relaxing vacation, and look forward to our next visit here!

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Beautiful Resort!!!!!

This was the most beautiful resort I have ever been to. Service was excellent. Staff was very pleasant, friendly, professional. Would love to go back and would highly recommend my friends and family. Location of the resort was only 45 minutes from the Cancun airport. Beaches were very clean, white and water was blue and clean.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Quiet and peaceful resort

Resort is small and clean with amazing staff. Anything you need is available and you can also use adjacent facilities in other two hotels nearby. Beach is beautiful and clean however it’s rocky so water shoes are recommended. There is also a lot of sandy areas in the sea and it’s perfect for snorkeling. There are certain points where access to the water is better than in other parts so find your best option to comfortably enter the water. My only concern would be that smoking is totally forbidde [... read more]n in any of the areas of resort and only place to smoke is outside the front gate and area is not welcoming and clean. I have been previously in other resorts where smoking is also prohibited but there were some areas where smoking was allowed and was nicely provided with ashtray and seating area including some greenery. I am not smoker but found this quite disrespectful to people who are. Room was clean and included all that you need, including fridge with water and pop and beer which was replenished daily. Food was good, however the variety could be better. There were three restaurants where you can have dinner and reservations were not needed. You can also go to other restaurants in nearby two hotels. Buffet is open daily for all three meals with one day closed for dinner. The best part of this hotel is the staff. I found service extremely good. Bartenders at beach bar (Armando) and lobby bar (Jesul) are very friendly and knowledgeable and make delicious cocktails. Alcohol selection was great and included all premium brands. At the restaurants, servers are very good, Eloisa, Francisco, Julio, Alejandro, Amado were always there to serve and help with our needs. Beach concierge Irving always made sure to talk to guests and ensure that lounges are available and try to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe. All in all I had great time and would definitely like to come back.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort and fun place to relax with your family

Both the swimming pools were really nice, resort was really close to the beach so not a lot of walking. Also attended the riu party which was really fun. Overall a great resort. The service and the staff were really nice

Riu Palace Kukulkan: Beautiful hotel

The Riu was well-appointed, easy to get around. The staff were exceptional from the reception to housekeeping. They knew their job and did it well. Our room was kept clean and neat. I did find that the buffet was really lacking in variety. I like when there is a carving station or someone making fresh pasta. There were too many creamy sauces. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great place

This place was truly amazing. The staff was kind and professional. The food was amazing. The ocean wasn’t crystal clear but the beach was beautiful and clean. The rooms were clean and relaxing. I would love to go back!
