Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Must read!!

I got kicked out of the pool area (akumal) for sitting on their chairs because apparently you can go to the other resorts (4 in 1), but you can’t use the other pools or anything on the resort... I was not informed when checking in, I got so embarrassed. Majority of their meat is pork, I thought they’d have a decent amount of beef / chicken options but no. Most of the food/restaurants are not good, part of the buffet was decent but the breakfast was my favourite. All they served was pasta, n [... read more]ot enough rice or salad options. The staff were great, Marcos (air Canada rep) was absolutely amazing & super friendly. They hardly played Spanish music, they played majority Canadian/American radio music. There are not enough chairs to sit by the pool. People will lay their towels down & leave to go eat so they can come back later if they want & have a spot. The pools were beautiful but closed too early, before the sun even sets 6 or 7 pm. Overall decent resort, I would probably stay somewhere else if I ever came to Mexico again.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Very big resort

The resort was huge with alot of walking. When walking the golf carts almost hit you as they don't slow down. Food was good. Service was good. Not much of a night life. Rooms are nothing special. Money went missing from my roommates wallet.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful resort

We had a Penthouse suite, so spacious and loved the Jucczzi in the evening. The La Carte were all excellent, Alux was our favourite. Pools were all great, we were at the quiet pool everyday. The room was made up everyday and fridge restock. The staff is wonderful and all smiles, This was our first time at Sain Ka’an.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great getaway!

We booked at Coba and it was a great getaway. We left our child at home and she would have appreciated the resort as very child friendly. It is not right on the ocean so trolly or 10min walk in high heats. Plenty of food options. The resort is massive and can be overwhelming. Booking with Tripcentral was awesome and we will do it again. They were in constant contact and great to deal with.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful and friendly resort

I love this resort and will go again. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were immaculate. Rooms and restaurants have been updated. Wifi is much better than it was a few years ago. Great family resort! Kids camp programs and great inclusive staff members. Kids splash pad/waterpark/pool are awesome. Beach was beautiful, yes there was seaweed... its the ocean. But staff was on top of it every day! Entertainment every night that everyone could enjoy outside. Literally my one  [... read more]and only complaint is the pool decks are incredibly slippery if you are even slightly wet. So bring pool deck shoes!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing resort!

Iberostar Paraiso Beach checked all the boxes for our recent vacation. Beautiful beach, pool and grounds. The property is so lush with beautiful gardens and wildlife. The food was amazing - great quality and variety, with lots of a la carte options. There was always something going on as far as entertainment. Also, the gym was incredible with ample equipment and lots of fitness classes throughout the day to choose from. I had zero complaints about this resort- we had a wonderful week!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Another great stay

This is our second stay at this hotel. We pre booked the same room as we had last year we liked it so much. Everything was even better this year. Service was amazing, the staff really go out of their way to please in every aspect ( butlers, bartenders, restaurant service and ground crews). Food was great so many options at every restaurant. Drinks were great and plenty full. The biggest plus was the improvements at the beach, last it it was really unusable because of the seaweed. However they ha [... read more]ve now put in barriers to block it from coming in - it was amazing how well they worked. No seaweed in sights.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Relaxing holiday

Coba is a very nice resort. It is a little aged but kept very clean and well maintained. Food is good it’s your typical buffet food. Always find something to eat. Pools were very nice. Sometimes hard getting chairs in shade. But that’s every where. Also because of staff shortage they didn’t have the towel booth open at quiet pool which was a inconvenience having to walk all the way over to the other pool to get towels. They do have trolleys to take you to other parts of the resorts and beach. Overall a very nice resort, if your expectations are a new fancy resort it’s not for you, it’s dated but very clean. We enjoy the Bahia Principe chain been to 4 different ones in different areas.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Very Nice Resort

The Platinum Yucatan was a very nice and well maintained resort. Buffet was great with lots of variety. A la carte were also excellent. Rooms were large and daily service was excellent. Grounds and pools were cleaned daily. Wait staff were nice and polite. The only small issue I would say is that there was usually only one staff member making the drinks for those at the bar; this person also had to make the drinks for the servers. Would recommend that the resort have more than one staff member a [... read more]t the pool/bar areas where there are more people. Beach was covered with sargassum but the staff were working very hard to clean it up. It was an endless job.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Fantastic time

It was a very large resort and very well maintained. Staff was excellent and the food was in abundance. It was great that you didn't have to book to go eat in restaurants. The restaurant staff was very accommodating. The whole holidays was very relaxing and would recommend this resort to anyone. Wendy is a fantastic travel agent and knew exactly what we were looking for. Thank you again.

Hotel Xcaret Arte 16 Plus: unbelievable resort

This resort is fantastic words can not describe how beautiful it is everything is super good from food,to drinks,rooms ,pools ,natural swiming rivers ,the grounds....but the staff is the true gem....very very helpful and friendly and if you show them any kind of respect they bend over backward for you....I have only 2 things I would like to see better and they are minor...where they have the shows at night there is not enough chairs and it would be nice if there was a lobby bar type area to sit  [... read more]and relax with a drink in a comfy chair with some music . One thing the beach is not that great but the other areas are fantastic. Access to there parks is wonderful...this is a great place to go for a vacation...treat your self spend a little more money and enjoy.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Grand Sirenis Mayan Riviera - amazing vacation!

We spent 9 days at the resort (April 13-21/23) and enjoyed all of it! The rooms were a great size and very comfy; the food was ample and amazing - lots of a la carte options with a variety of restaraunts and an ice cream shop at the pool; lots of wildlife around the resort including monkeys and iguanas; super friendly staff; entertainment, the market comes to the resort a couple times a week to shop for souveniers, tours are available to book at the resort (which were awesome), the beach was wo [... read more]nderful with lots of seating, shade & sun, a swing for great selfies and snorkeling (bring your snorkel & mask!). Overall we had a wonderful vacation and found the resort enjoyable with everything we needed. There were several weddings at the resort as well. No issues at all with Covid concerns, no masking required. This was a repeat visit for my friend and my first time at GS and I would go back! Missing it already.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Was so happy to get back!!!

Returned to the Sian Ka'an in early April for two weeks and this was our first time back since 2019 and our fifth stay overall. It's our happy place for sure....the property, the service, the staff, the food all meet and exceed our expectations. Will be booking our next visit very soon!!

Ocean Maya Royale: Great Resort with excellent staff and food

We loved the resort, it was smaller which was so convenient and super easy to get around or get services. The staff and the food was excellent. Seaweed was not great but they did the best they could. Would have preferred a King Bed but we made do. I strongly recommend for a mature couples who are looking to relax.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing family resort!

We went for 10 days, and we would go there again! The grounds are like parks, very nicely taken care of, the walkways between buildings of different parts are covered, airy and easy to get around between resorts. The room was little dated but bedding was a good quality, air conditioner worked great, we had a balcony with the garden view. Our safe was not working when we got there but was fixed next day. No problem with hot water in the shower. The fridge was stocked daily, plenty of bottled wate [... read more]r, soft drinks or local beer. The food in buffet was great, sometimes little salty, great variety of pastries, local foods, vegs, tried first time the cactus stews; cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruits are amazing! Coffee machines available for self-serve. The service was sometimes little slow, but we always got what we liked. The buffets are quite noisy, understandable - the families dealing with their kids, but the servers were cleaning plates and dumping cutleries with great gusto, so the best seats for our meals were at the windows, away from central area and much quieter. The pool areas were clean, water nice and warm, the beach areas raked nightly, plenty of available towels and loungers under palm trees, nice ocean breeze... The beach grills are great alternative for buffets, food and drinks available all day. The sanitizer lotions were available everywhere. Our only concern was with a local travel company that organized transfers to/from the hotel and local trips. Not organized, chaotic, mixed our departure time for the trip, we got our money back thankfully, and almost got left at the wrong airport terminal on our way back. So next time we will have to double check all the dealings with this company or to choose different carrier. But we would definitely go back, for the right price, maybe at the different time when the sargassum season is over.

Sensira Resort and Spa: Great trip with kids!

This resort was perfect for kids. We took two (5 and 2) and they both had a great time. Service, especially around the pool, was amazing. Food was good everywhere. Nice to have food available at the pool most of the day. Our favourite part was pool side BBQ each day (tacos, gauc making class, and other authentic Mexican dishes). Great for adults with kids (if just adults, I’d look for another spot)

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Average

Barcelo Review Poor communication, both WestJet and Barcelo. Advertised with bathrobes and slippers in the room - not here. We booked the Tropical and the bus guy could not find us on the list, wonder why. We got to reception and were told we were moved to Colonial because Tropical was full and computer reassigns automatically. I had read about this in other reviews so insisted we stay in Tropical and they “found” us a room. Also try to find a WestJet rep at the hotel - nonexistent. They us [... read more]e contractors we found out from the Transat rep but no indication of what hours they are available. Be prepared for a lot of walking! No maps as handouts for directions, only enlarged air photos in a few places throughout the resort for you to figure out. Our room was 400m from beach and 400m from buffet restaurant. The resort is huge but lots of spaces for people to spread out. The Barcelo bus was fun riding between locations but only 10-15 minute walk from one end to the other. Room was nice although showing wear and tear, the sink was falling off, bathtub was chipped and repaired, coffee maker plastic parts broken, cabinet doors loose and misaligned, balcony door did not lock, water damage on ceiling in bathroom, lack of circulation fan so towels never dried. Dining service was great in most a la cartes but lacking in the buffets. Lots of food choices and yes some were not kept hot but most were fine. Pool/beachfront bars open only until 6pm and then only lobby and theatre bars open. Lobby bars did not all have the same selections, Tropical the least. Pool bars also had different choices, draft beer at one, Corona cans at another. Lounge chairs were always available somewhere all the time, just the prime ones were saved by early risers. Sad to say some people saved both beach and poolside chairs and hardly stayed at either. Towels were not always tracked so people took lots and left a lot laying around unclaimed by sunset. The beach has palm trees for shade so chairs moved around with sun. Sandy part of the beach was quite narrow and seaweed washing up from constant wave and wind action. Maintenance staff removed most of it every day but always some to walk over. Limestone rocks in the water and on the beach made walking in a hazard if you could not see them but nice and sandy bottom further out from shore. Schools of fish in shallow to see as you waded out. Snorkelling not great except at north end along coral fingers. Visibility best in morning before water stirred up. Ocean and pools were warm and warmed up throughout the day. Entertainment was top notch but not very family friendly with lots of skin showing on the women and lots of ass wiggling. Acoustics not great with volume too loud and lots of echo in the theatre so could not make out the lyrics to songs and announcers spoke so fast could not understand them. Overall a decent resort but not up 4 star standards.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Value resort

Overall amazing people great service. Beach is super full of seaweed. Sofa in the rooms are dirty bathtubs inside and outside of the room are dirty looking and not inviting. It's good for the value.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort

So much to love about this resort. Rooms were nice, pools were well kept, food was good. Service was great. The booking through tripcentral.ca was so simple and quick. The trip from airport to resort was terrible. 2 hour wait before leaving airport. 2.5 hour trip. Almost 5 hours from rival. The resort requires a lot of walking.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great for families!

We had a wonderful time at this resort, as a family of 3. We worried that our 11 year old might get bored but not the case at all. So many activities available for all to enjoy and shows every night. Food was disappointing, often cold at buffets and little variety (particularly for kids). Was there a bacon shortage in Mexico??
