Royalton Blue Waters: great resort

Food is good, but the hotel is small. share facilities with Royalton White Sands. Many activities, however it always during the nights. If you want to sleep at that time, it will be noisy. The beach is clean, but it is crowded.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Perfect resort for kids!

This resort was nice and small which was perfect for kids. I never worried my son would get lost. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Water park was great especially the lazy river. Food was mostly all delicious. We really enjoyed the Jade restaurant and the beach grill. Hamburgers were our favorites!

Riu Reggae: Great Resort

This was a girlfriend week. Right from the start check in was easy and fast.. We both have trouble walking that is why we chose this hotel. Everything was close restaurants, bars, pool, beach.The entertainment staff are fabulous they worked from morning to night to make sure everyone was happy. All staff are great to many to mention . JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Not a luxury hotel!

Dont let the name fool you, this is not luxury. The Grand was built 7 years ago but it is quite dated. Food is good, beach full of seaweed. For the price we paid, we should stayed at a Sandals resort.

Hedonism II: Honeymoon in Hedo II

Had an amazing honeymoon, service was very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend checking the main lobby video screen for daily events and theme night updates. The Piano Bar is really fun with Winston, Dave and Stephanie. Agustus who rakes and cleans the prude beach was very nice. We also had massages by Marjorie and Keolisha who were amazing!

Sandals Dunn's River: Resort and Staff Are Great But

My wife and I are seniors and we decided this year to give Jewel Dunns River a try so we booked two weeks . On arrival everything was what was expected of a first class Hotel The one problem we ran across was MUSIC choices and VOLUMES we asked several times to tone down also to give a better mix however we we nor successful it got so bad that we spoke with the Hotel Manager she was very helpful but could do little to change the problem . We advised we were not about to spend another week listeni [... read more]ng to loud unintelligible music (noise) we asked to be moved to another Hotel . It ended up that we moved on the Sat over to Jewel Paradise Cove it proved a lot better set up . The MC's in charge of music took requests and had a better mix . Conclusion if your Seniors looking for peace and quite this is not the Jewel Dunns River is not the best choice .

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Resort with Even Amazing Workers

Such a wonderful resort with many great things to write about. The rooms were beautiful and were cleaned twice a day.. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon, with evening chocolates left in the evening! We had a junior suite in block 26.. Could see the ocean from our room, but wasn't an oceanfront view, but was still beautiful. The food was amazing. We did not book our a la carte restaurants prior to arriving, which we should have. We met people down there that did and they had better lu [... read more]ck getting in to the ones that they wanted. However, the buffet was amazing and we could have ate there every night, if needed. The omelettes in the morning... Amazing! I can't say any more positive things about this place!! We can't wait to go back next year!! We spent the majority of our time by the pool, and enjoyed the entertainment portion during the day, but were in bed early each night so can't comment on the evening entertainment. We did hear that the Beach Party was great though! Again, it's an amazing resort!!

Jewel Paradise Cove: Excellent time

Let’s start with the spectacular grounds. So lush and well kept. Rooms were clean and bathrooms are incredible! Staff was extremely friendly and bartenders especially. Shows were well done and you always had something to do! The food was amazing! I’ve never ate so well on a trip ever!! Beaches were well kept and snorkeling off the little beach was always fun :)

Jewel Paradise Cove: Changed since new ownership

We went to this resort in October 2017. Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. The resort very clean, the food and alcohol were excellent. Everyone working in the resort greeted us with a smile. Although the beach is very small and like the name, enclosed in a cove, the resort had a glass bottom boat that took us out to the ocean and guests could snorkel - no charge. We went back this October (2018) and although the employees all work hard to keep the place clean and look after the [... read more] guests there are many changes that have taken place since new ownership in June. The alcohol drinks are mostly ice. Not blaming the bartenders, they serve what is supplied to them by Management. I asked for a plain Vodka (in a Smirnoff bottle) and it smelled like rubbing alcohol. We had to go out of the resort a couple of times to find name brand alcohol that we could drink. A lot of other guests did the same. The buffet wasnt the same. We didnt starve but there wasnt anything that impressed. The Italian restaurant had delicious lamb chops and desserts with great service. The glass bottom boat now costs $ 30.00 American, per person. We went out of the resort to Sharkies. Its not too far and right on a beautiful beach. It was the only time we had decent fish. My husband had the red snapper and I got the grilled lobster. Also their rum and cokes actually had liquor. Last year the entertainment team were more involved in the nightly entertainment. They would do a "before the show" and get guests involved either on stage or get up and dance. This wasnt the case this year. Very low key. They did have outside groups that came to entertain and they were good. No music during the afternoon by the pool to get people moving. Just a disappointment to see subtle changes in just a few months of new ownership.

Sunset at the Palms: A bit of paradise

This hotel is something very different. Cabins in the jungle garden...Listening to tree frogs all night. Small enough where you get to know all the wonderful friendly staff. And a lot of new friends as well. Food is good. Entertainment nightly. The beach is clean and water so clear and calm. Just get on a floatie and you're in paradise. If you are tired of the big resorts this is definitely the place for you. We will be back.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Fabulous Resort

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and amazing food. Every night there was wonderful entertainment to enjoy. The beaches were beautiful and relaxing not very deep for swimming. If you wanted to swim you would have to walk further down on the beach to find a spot where you would be able to swim. We will definitely return to this resort.

Couples Sans Souci: Great time

This was our second visit to the couples Resorts chain we previously had stayed at couples swept away this resort was equally amazing I highly recommend We will return for a third visit to the couples chain

Dreams Rose Hall: Beautiful Resort

Overall, we were very pleased with this resort, and will definitely go back again. Transfers to and from the airport and check-in were very good. The room was a standard hotel room, a little wear and tear showing, but very clean. The air conditioning worked great throughout the hotel. The buffet was very good, offering many choices. If you couldn't find anything to eat on this buffet, you are way too fussy. The drinks were very good and they did not skimp on the alcohol. There is a great coffee shop to get your early morning fix, with baked goods available to snack on. In the coffee shop, there are 4 computers available to print your airline boarding passes to come home. We had a couple of small things that concerned us. We had been advised to book the restaurants about a week before we got there, so we booked the Luna and got confirmation that we had our reservation. On the night of our reservation, we arrived at the restaurant only to find it 'closed' for the evening. When we enquired about our reservation, we were told they switched us to the Three Palms. When we asked if they had tried to contact us, we did not receive any sort of explanation. By the way, we would have had to take a shuttle to the Three Palms, which would have involved some planning had we known about the change of restaurants. That was disappointing and frustrating. Make sure you confirm with the concierge any reservations you have made in case they've done a switch-a-roo on you. The other thing I was expecting was a daily cleaning of our room like in most hotels, but here the room cleaning did not happen until two days after we arrived. Not that we needed much, but our garbage cans were full and we were running out of toilet paper. However, the bar fridge got replenished daily. All in all, a lovely place to spend a vacation but little inconveniences that you would not expect from the brand 'Hilton'.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Beautiful resort

The staff is fantastic and very accommadating, grounds are beautiful and there are lots of options for food which is amazing because you can have a different meal every night. They even put patties for us to go after dinner which we got from the Jamaican restaurant at zilara.

Riu Ocho Rios: good

the grounds was wonderful but the room need lots of improvements.tv poor bàthtub don't run water out property toilet sometimes don't flush properly and the bed and room smell mold and there are roach the towels are very stiff

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Best trip ever!

My wife and I have been taking an annual Anniversary vacation for the past seven years and our recent visit to the Hideaway at Royalton Negril is by far the best trip we've ever had. The property is in superior condition, the grounds are well maintained and the rooms are spectacular. The resort staff are to notch, friendly and courteous, always ensuring you are having a pleasant stay. Great location for local attractions such as Rick's Cafe and Margaritaville and we had the option of hiring a local driver or buying a formal tour. Looking forward to a return visit.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing trip!

Great resort. We travelled with a group of 9 ranging from 3-65. Something to do for everyone. We did 3 excursions while there. Dunn’s river tour, Bob Marley tour and an ochios Rios shopping trip, everything was close to the resort. Reaort itself was fantastic- we were a gold band so the extra perks were great. Food excellent. Beaches weren’t over crowded, always easy to find a spot. My only complaint travelling with a little one is there’s not a lot of ramps for strollers. The hotel was beautiful! Staff were extremely egar to help in anyway. Rene our bartender in the main lobby bar is a beautiful person. Very friendly and egar to serve you. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Fantastic Resort

I stayed at the Iberostar rose hall beach resort in Montego Bay. We visited from October 20-27. We were there for my wedding. Location: The resort is 20 minutes from the airport which is a definite bonus. The grounds was well designed in a U-shape. Everything is in close proximity. You don't have to walk far from your room to get to the restaurants, pool, beach or lobby. There is zero garbage on the ground. The landscape is in perfect condition. Lots of tall trees, flowers, fountains and p [... read more]onds. No bugs, barely any mosquitos or bees. Food: Our group made reservations for the steakhouse Monday, and Cajun and the Japanese restaurant for Tuesday night. The steakhouse is outdoors restaurant off the beach. The al a carte restaurants are small and spaces go fast, so make your reservation as soon as possible when you arrive rather than the day before you want to eat at the location. The food in the buffet was delicious. Every day the food had a different theme for breakfast lunch and dinner. For any guests who have allergies (such as myself) to seafood or fish, be careful. The fish dishes were placed directly beside other dishes so cross contamination from the utensils or serving tongs is possible. Note: all restaurants serve fish but the smell is not terribly overwhelming. While eating at the steakhouse, one of our guests found a chunk of plastic in her brownie, which cut her mouth. The serving staff were unsure of the source of the plastic. The chocolate Twinkies were inconsistent in texture, some soft and some rock hard making them unable to eat. Overall, the food is very tasty and flavorful. If you don’t like spices, there are many meat options that are not spicy. The mini bars in the rooms were not restocked daily, and we had to call for extra bottles of water. Staff: The staff was absolutely amazing. The bartenders are very kind and make sure each person is served in order without making anyone wait too long. Ask for Anthony, he makes the best drinks. The entertainment staff was the best. Shout out to Angel, Sparkles, and Macaroni. They were always by the pool and beach encouraging every one of all ages to get involved in the sports, games, and contests. The prizes and the praise are definitely worth it if you are shy. Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi was a little slow in various parts of the resort. If you are travelling with a group, I would recommend using Whats app or Facebook messenger to stay in contact with your friends and family. They work perfectly. Pool: There is one large pool with more than enough space for everyone. The swim up bar in the in the pool was only opened for one day, the other days it was closed (probably for construction). So you have to come out of the pool and walk to the bar stand to get a drink. There was always enough beach and pool chairs. Beach: The beach and sand are beautiful and clean. It is a long stretch shared between the 3 properties (Beaches, Suites, and Grand). The local vendors are on the beach daily, just ignore them or politely tell them to leave you alone if you don’t want to buy anything. Beware there are lots of jelly fish in the water and they do come close to the shore. Room Service: If you order room service be warned that the food may take a while to get to your room. You can always ask for extra clean towels. Not all rooms come with door signs that please do not disturb. To avoid room service or cleaning staff from coming into your room unwanted, I highly advice to use the top latch on your door. Entertainment: There are nightly shows in the theatre that start at 9pm. The disco is on the suites property, but it is only open Wednesday-Saturday. On some nights there is also a beach party with fire dancers. We enjoyed our stay and would visit the Iberostar resort again.
