Playa Costa Verde: a pleasurable holiday experience

the grounds and common rooms are well maintained and staff are friendly and make us feel at home.The rooms could use an upgrade regarding better mattresses and less lumpy pillows! Some days the hot water is not dependable.The food has improved and I would rate it 7 out of 10.The dining rooms are clean and evening meals are served with tablecloths and different Cuban themes.Entertainment varies for different age groups. We have been coming to this resort for 10 years because it is quiet and the v [... read more]illas are only 2 stories high. Access to the beach is a bridge over a lagoon. The beach is well cared for and relatively calm.There is a beach bar close by and also a snack bar that serves ham burger and fries and basic north American food.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Disappointed

Hotel is showing its age, my room was musty and in need of makeover. We were staying in the villas which are larger and supposedly newer. Food was average except in the seafood restaurant, where we had special returning guests lunch (Betty was wonderful and gave our group extra attention). Bugs were bitting so make sure to pack bug spray. Was surprised we had to purchase our own bottled water. Was disappointed overall, but will try diffrent resort next time.

Playa Pesquero: The Best Resort!!

Everything is amazing!! There are a few things i would recommend to update, the buffet, we always went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as soon as they opened, but alot of the food that is under warmers need to be updated as half the food is lukewarm at best, and considering we come right at the beginning food should still be hot!!! Beach was fantastic, only recommendation would be to upgrade the bathrooms, they are pretty bad!! More training for the staff that work in the buffet, some of the people didn't know how to do their jobs at all!! Lobby needs to hire new people for service as it takes forever for someone to come to you to get your drink order!! But overall loved the service, the people are very friendly, the resort is doing alot of renovations since last year and it looks great, keeps getting better and better, i have no doubt alot of improvements will be made the next time i'm go which will be next November!!

The grounds were fantastic The beach excellant The food at the ala Cartes was very good The buffet food was sometimes good and sometimes not so good Our garden view room was ok but it could use an upgrade

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great vacation.

If you can't have a good time here, you have serious problems:) Great staff, great room, one of the best beach fronts I've seen. Stayed on the Mares side pool was awesome and very lively. Lobby bar is excellent place to hang out. Wonderful maids room was spotless every day. Food was not bad at all it's Cuba, always found something good to eat. Beach bar restaurant for lunch was fantastic. The bus ride in from airport is very interesting, you see the real rural Cuba. Travel rep was excellent. I was greeted with a smile and Hola by every single employee there, warm beatiful people.

Playa Pesquero: Playa Pesquero

We loved the hotel and the service was awesome, we are seriously thinking on going back again next year. We fell in love with the place and the people who worked there. However, we had a little bit of trouble with the food. Some meats were not cooked properly, so we had to trought most of it away. But besides that it was great.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: WOW !!!

Third visit this time spent in Royal Section simply amazing. I can't say enough about the staff. My mother was with us for this trip and she was staying on the regular side, never had any problem having a cart go pick her up as she has difficulty walking for long periods. Rooms were clean, mini bar filled every day. Just an excellent vacation.

Playa Costa Verde: Friendly Resort

Resort was very clean, workers are friendly and, helpful. Good variety of food to choose from. Beach had sand taken out from hurricane would recommend water shoes when entering the ocean. Hobbies cats, and paddle boats are available for free to use.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: ok

there was no tomato juice available in the restaurant or the lobby and other bars I wonder how they make drinks that require tomato juice. the store had limited selections and no gin for sale and no water at other times. I wonder why they did not put the hotel closer to the beach even with a rocky shoreline it would be ok. they need a path along that rocky area.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Our home away from home.

We love Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca. We have been going to this resort since 2008. Some years we manage to go twice. Love the people. Always so nice and helpful. The resort is clean. The staff work hard and are always so nice to us. My husband and I have no problem with the food either. There is always something tasty available. Restaurants on the resort are great. We have also made some great friends with a few of the locals. Like I said, we love this place.

Playa Pesquero: Amazing beach & resort

Our unit was newly renovated & service was excellent. Lots of changes in the resort like new furnishing & plus a gondola has been adden right at the entranced of the hotel. Had a goodtime & meet lots of friends in previous years holidays. Services has improved this year & will be back next year. Our extra week has been approved for 2019 schedule so we hope trip central can check into it when the time comes. Thanks Neil.

Playa Costa Verde: Our regular resort in Cuba

We have been to a few resorts in Cuba and keep returning to Playa Costa Verde. It is not the largest or smallest but just the right size for us. Not too many stairs and just spread out enough that you can walk. It is just over a half mile around the perimeter path with only one up hill section if you are into a daily walking routine. PCV has been working on renovations to the common areas and upgrades to the rooms. The only thing that is now closed is the swim up bar but a temporary pool ba [... read more]r and the snack bar are open all day. The beach is still fine but a fair amount of rock as you walk into the water. I think the two hurricanes moved a very large amount of sand away so water shoes are a good idea. Kind of the best news, new mattresses and flat panel TV in the rooms. .

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Resort so so

Weather very good, no rain during a day. Problem with beach towel, mostly time station closed or no clean towel. Entertainment very poor. Lots local people in the hotel, resort and the beach. They very noisy, with inappropriate behavior, the do not stay in the line for resort services.

Playa Costa Verde: Beautiful!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff is amazing! This was my first trip to Holguin and everyone was wonderful, I met so many nice people at the hotel and would do it all over again. I traveled by myself and felt safe the entire trip.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Blau Casta Verde, Cuba

We had a very good two weeks in Cuba, with a couple over cast days. The food, beach and pool was great. The Sunwing agent was great, l had one problem, l found a Scorpion in my ground floor room. I told the Sunwing agent and he had the front desk move me out of that room to a third floor room. The desk was slow at moving me. It took my whole day to get a different room. Have a good day. Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Dated, but great value

the resort is older, but everything was clean and worked well the food was awesome for Cuba, staff were great, we would go back anytime, beaches in Cuba are the best I've ever seen, bang for your buck is right here

Playa Pesquero: Amazing Resort

I will definitely go back to this resort. This resort is absolutely beautiful. People are very friendly, the buffet is not a let down or bland. The rooms are kept clean. I had a chance to experience the Native Indian Village dance,. The dance and the food were amazing! There are plenty of different excursions, which are not pricey, to choose from. Best Hotel I have been in Cuba. Food was amazing. If you like lobster, shrimp. Home made pizza, beer bar and pools were the best can wait to go again. Month of November take bag repelente lots of small mosquitos.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Bad experience

I was so frustrated when I first camed they gived me a standard room in the banker with alot moskitos and had to pay 30 pesos to change the room and anothe 16 pesos to have a fridge and a locker it was degusting i've never in my life had to pay for those services and i'm not mentioning the low qualities of food etc... its my last time
