Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort!!

Room was fantastic! Always clean. Staff was very nice and always helpful. Restaurants/food was great will a lot of variety!! Activities were great. Night life was awesome will great entertainers! Already planning to go back!

This resort is perfection. I am a picky person so need a very clean resort. This resort was very clean! From the rooms to the grounds, to the buffet to the pool area, everything was well maintained. Some things were a little dated but it didnt matter it was very clean. The food was great! Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Amazing

We loved the resort. It’s small, the food is good and staff are so amazing. Loved the entertainment team. Rooms were super clean. Beach was nice. Loved the mexican restaurant and the Italian as well.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Blue Bay Serenity

We just returned home from a 2 week stay at Blue Bay Villas. We had a lovely time at this all adult resort. We have travelled throughout the caribbean and what makes this resort unique and memorable are the people they employ. They were very gracious and kind! We appreciated the beautiful lighting and the design of the lobby. The grounds were beautifully kept with orange Indian jasmine bushes for colour. There was a quiet elegance of days gone by. We found the rooms to be dated; however the resort is starting renovations this summer. One thing of note for us was the bed. We found it very uncomfortable. The beds are very firm. Hopefully with the reno they will be replaced with a more comfortable mattress. The food was good with fresh fruit, fresh salads, grilled meat or fish being offered every day. There were also traditional Dominican dishes offered each day. We stayed in the quiet area by the spa and enjoyed the relaxing zen music. The beach was fine . They had lots of beds and loungers with covers. Vendors did approach us and we politely said no and they left. We didn’t find them to be harassing at all. We enjoyed the entertainment! Three of the nights there was a sax, piano player and singer in the lobby. The Mr. Blue Bay competition was hilarious. The entertainment staff worked hard each day to offer fun activities and events. Presently I would rate this resort as a strong 3.5 star because of the rooms, bed, safe and the 2nd person had to pay for wifi. We hope to return next year.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Good Time

Overall the resort is good....we found that some staff seemed to be complacent and not really interested. The Hideaway pool staff were very good. Always attenuative. Food at the buffet was very good and plentiful. A la carts were good and there was rarely a line. We have been to other Roylton resorts and will continue to use them again.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Beautiful Resort

This resort is new and well maintained. The rooms are very nice and clean. Our swim up pool was excellent and clean. The grounds were well maintained. The food was good but not excellent. The drinks were also good but not excellent. The staff were excellent!

Riu Bambu: Absolutely loved everything!

We had gorgeous weather the fist 2 days. The beach had very little seaweed. Day 3 we had a day of rain so we went for a drive to BelleMare Mall. It wasn't a mall but rather a gift shop. Things were lovely but highly overpriced. We went to the BlueMaa on day 4. Much better stores. For the remainder we went to most Riu parties. Great entertainment every evenings. The beach had lots of seaweed and so we preferred the pool for the duration of our stay. She is a lovely soul and always had a smile. We loved our stay and can't wait for next year!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful resort

Grounds are beautiful,the food was outstanding and gorgeous beaches.Rooms were nice and beds very comfortable and always clean.Staff were very friendly Our Butler Edwin did a wonderful job with all our request and always answered the messages we sent him soon after.Would come looking for us on the beach if he couldn't reach us by messages

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Nice Resort

Pros: Nice Beach, great rooms, lots of staff on hand, no problem getting seats at the beach or poolside, great food, gym was great, shows were ok, very quiet when we were there: Cons: regret we didn't have 2 weeks for our holiday

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Just what we were looking for

Excellent staff, and the grounds were immaculate. Entertainment was available but we never attended, fine with us. Grounds very large and easy to walk. Honestly we were looking for quite time away and this place delivered.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Decent Resort

The resort was nicely layed out. The room we had was a non-updated room. Could certainly use updating. Slight musty smell but was told by travel representative that’s standard with the high humidity. Food was really good. Pool was large with lots of loungers as long as you got there early. Beach was disappointing. Seaweed and garbage floating close to shore. Always murky since the waves further out churned up the sand and that drifted in. If you don’t care about swimming in the ocean, this resor [... read more]t would be fine for you. There is ongoing construction on the one side of the resort during the week with lots of noise. Service was good. Kudos to the maintenance man as we had a few issues with the room - mini fridge not working, broken shower wand, leak I ceiling of bathroom and power to our room being blown. Those issues were quickly fixed. NOTE: controls for lights, fan and air conditioner are on the headboards behind the pillows.

Everything is perfect Will go again My daughter been there 3 times. Going on your own is safe The little Café Place is so much fun. People there are really nice I have nothing negative. 7 days to 10 is enough cause a small quiet place

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Very good hotel

Очень хороший резорт ,хороший сервис,прекрасная еда,замечательный сад,прекрасный пляж,удобное местоположение,правильный дизайн,возможность отдохнуть в покое. К сожалению люди курят,прямо под табличками запрещающими это,но обслуга,увы,позволяет это, Все остальное очень не плохо.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Not like it used to be

This was my 6th trip to this resort, the first time there since 2018 and all of the "upgrades". The staff, as usual, were the absolute best, they are and have always been my favourite part of the resort. I was very impressed by the new buildings and the new pool area in the Platinum part of the resort. I was not a huge fan of the new Platinum Lounge. They used to have a different selection each day. The Absolute favourite part of the trip, as usual, was the Platinum Beach Bar!!! The people who work there are the absolute greatest, they should really work hard to keep all of those people working there, as I'm sure they are the Best!!!!

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Not bad, Not Amazing!

First thing Air Transat switch plane going to Samana DR last minute and my row 1 seats turned into row 28, I am handicap due to a motor vehicle accident 5 years ago and a heart condition that I can not walk for long! informed Air Transat of this but they said "hey you can exit from the rear of the plane when it lands! I am a computer tech and know  [... read more]lots about networks and Wi-Fi and such the internet provided was right out of the stone age! 8 mb speed at best usually around 4 mb! The entertainment was lousy! They had low budget shows, usually 2 people one singing and one playing keyboard with a laptop with prerecorded backing tracks and most of the music was from 80's and 90's lounge lizard type of tunes! they did have a live band one night out of 2 week stay! food was medium to good but not a lot of variety from night to night! This is defiantly not a 5 star resort! 3.5 at best. Our HVac system in the room was leaking water on the floor so much we had to put a towel down to soak it up! The entire time we stayed the room had a strong smell of sewer gas lingering in the room! Also my wife and I were sneezing and coughing quite a lot! Someone suggested it might be a mold problem? All and all our expectations are not super high! So we had a good time but we definitely will not be returning to Viva Via Samana, and I thing we will avoid the Wyndham properties as well in general! They have a 2 tier setup regular which we were and club which is approximately 30 grand USD to join for 10 years. its a points system that I would not buy into! And would suggest anyone else to stay away from! The plane ride back was great had the same seats we were assigned when we booked the trip! 4J and 4K lots of room I believe it was an Air bus 320? Nice aircraft looked fairly new and engines were extremely quite! The other things I could mention were pool towels were ratty for the most part and had a lot of bleach stains and just looked old! most towels were not even that clean! Some had like a BO smell to them! I was also disappointed in the booze! it was very low quality although some times they had Stoli Vodka which we like Cointreau was either watered down or some fake stuff! Oddly enough they had Sambuca which I drank a lot of and reminded me of the Sambuca I drink @ home! They had some supply chain issues no bacon a few mornings and only peperoni for the pizzas on a rare occasion, cook said they didn't have any! Pizza was taste though. I don't generally eat pizza when I'm away! One night I had breaded veal and it was very good! and one afternoon they served empanada's only the one time though! They were soooo good! Again my review reflects some of the bad stuff as we tended to not forget that! I tried to make this as fair as possible! And the beach and pool were great, only complaint is clean the pool more often and do a better job of it! I also had a room on the ground floor with the plunge pool! Was half empty most of the time and full of insects stayed out of it most of the time, the reason I booked the plunge pool room is that I would be guaranteed a ground floor with my disability that was imperative! The building are 4 floors and no elevators unless you are a club member! Hotel was pretty clean and staff were great management were not quite as good as the regular working staff! I would suggest the overhaul there entertainment crew get more with the times seems right out of the 80's and 90's club med type of stuff!

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Horrible

Well first of all the room we had on the 2nd floor flooded the first 2 nights we were there and all our clothing and suitcases got soaked, staff didn’t seem to care, the patio door didn’t close 100% reason for the flood and the mosquitoes in our room, another night we got back to our room with no towels, we called thankfully they delivered fast. Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Expectations not fulfilled

Hotel was nicly maintained, food was very good. Very busy by the locals who come in especially on the weekends an have no problem cutting in line and bringing in speakers an blaring there music. Not many activities. Beach was closed 5 out of the the 7 days we were there and closes at 6pm. Adult only pools not inforced or lit up at night very dangerous as there is needs to be a sign saying go in with both feet. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Disappointed

Our room flooded water pouring through the roof our 1 year old daughter slipped on the huge puddle on the floor smashing her head hard. Requested a new room as water was coming through the ceiling and they began to say someone will be up with a mop and bucket soon. Again I insisted NO I’d like another room and they were annoyed at my request it’s 9pm now and I’m waiting for a new room they placed a family of 4 with two small babies on the third floor having to hike 3 flights of stairs with strol [... read more]lers and beach/ poor gear. My daughter had sever allergies with anaphylaxis I emailed the hotel prior and they said go to guest services for a special card to give the chef.. (so I felt confident when booking) when I did the chef couldn’t confirm anything is there was egg in dishes or milk or nuts all three very severe allergies .. my poor daughter ate hardly anything all week I felt awful.

Everything was excellent! Rooms are clean. Beach is amazing. Service is very good everywhere in the resort. Food are delicious in buffet and in A la cart restaurants. Entertainment is very good! We definitely coming back.

Grand Palladium Palace: Such a nice relaxing vacation!

My husband and I had such a great time at the Grand Palladium Palace, part of three hotels of grand palladium. Therefore lots of walking around, got lots of steps in but towards the end we used the trains a couple times. I do find I prefer a smaller, more quaint resort where you don't have to walk 20 minutes to a restaurant in heels, we found we had to walk to the Bavaro one quite a bit. Tried room service once, didn't find it anything special. But what you go for is the Ocean and it was amazing and a beautiful turquoise color, very inviting, we were in there a lot! Never stepped into any of the pools though, sometimes a few loud kids and loud music, much preferred the quiet beach area. Always lots of beach chairs available.
