french lacarte restaurant - breakfast really slow service and dinner not enough lighting had to use cellphone to read menu carribean restaurant - not enough lighting we were told we had a free candle light dinner. they told us we had to book within 72 hrs. we didn't know. poor excuse. beach chairs - 4 chairs under hut were all taken for butler service for only 2 people. the only chairs avail were in the sun. this happened all wk. airport near resort - no-one told us that the planes fly [... read more] direct overhead all day long. needs improvements. people there were the best very friendly, and food as all sandals was better than any other resorts we have been to

Sunscape Cove: bad management

I was in sunscape cove from Oct.20-25. I was there for my cousin's wedding. The resort itself is in need of updating, upgrading it looks very run down. The room where I stayed had been renovated but you really couldn't tell aside from the walk in shower , which I have to say was very nice, and the modern sink there was nothing that made it feel new. The air condition was very noisy when on and made it difficult to sleep. The resort was also not very full , low season I guess for them . The buffet looked empty at all meals. It was so big but not enough people eating to fill it up, which I completely understand.I do not like to see food being wasted. The food it self was very good. I ate mostly at the restaurants on the cove side and they were really good. The beach was beautiful and the view of the mountains was amazing. The worst thing about this resort was the management, they refuse to accommodate the guest with any requests. They were also rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and unwilling to resolve situations. And this attitude also reflects on all the employees who not all but most have the same attitude. Overall Jamaica for me never again, they take advantage of tourist, no one knows anything or wants to help in any way. It is in my opinion expensive and not well maintained, dangerous and Jamaicans are unfriendly, compared to all other islands.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Fantastic Resort

This resort was fantastic!!! Very clean, well kept grounds and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. At the adult area restaurants foods were to die for. Room service was good but food was a little cold when received. There are no microwaves in the rooms to be able to warm it up either. On the advertisement the wording makes it sound like you get butler service but that only comes if you pay for the upgrade to diamond. Melia Braco Village: It's a wonderful paradise!!!

It's a wonderful paradise!!! We were family of five adults that stayed at Melia Braco Village for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation without any regrets. This hotel is located approximately 50 minutes away from the Montego Bay airport. We arrived around 10 pm at the resort and ordered room service for dinner. Although there were some flaws in our order, the service and the rest of the meal was great. The entire staff members were well trained and know how to treat their guests properly. Starting off with the coconut man "Kermar" we found that he was a very polite and friendly. Dean Paul who served us at the Prime restaurant or Sharone (she always had a beautiful smile all the time) at Rasta Pasta restaurant and all the servers and bartenders at all the restaurants and bars...all were amazing!! Now, lets talk about food. The buffet had enough variety and amble food every day. Not a single day we missed fish. There were different varieties of fish, chicken, pork and beef and rice, veggies pasta and omelet stations, fruits and desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed the papayas. Very fresh and juicy. As we enjoy spicy food, the menus were little bland for us. However, to compensate that they had pepper oil ( extremely spicy) and jerk sauce. So we could make any dish spicy. Out of 4 a-la-carte restaurants, the Rasta pasta was our favorite. The drinks and cocktails at the Bar were amazing! The resort is absolutely situated in a perfect spot. The grounds were nicely landscaped and filled with beautiful matured trees and tropical plants. The beach....breath taking!!! The big waves were calmed down by the barrier and created "pool like" water for swimming and snorkeling. Out of 7 days, 5 days we went for snorkeling and saw more than nine varieties of fish. And don't miss out the activities. Marlon was really helpful and friendly at zip lining. Finally " the out of the resort experience". We took a cab from the hotel and his name was "Johnny P". He was very nice and friendly and took us two trips: one to see Montego Bay town and Blue Hole water falls. We thoroughly enjoyed the water fall and its surroundings. If you are buying any booze, buy at the airport. Much cheaper than anywhere else. We got ripped off at the shopping centre. Pros: mentioned all already😄 Cons: Wished the hotel property allowed us to walk along the shore not limited to their property. Overall we had the perfect vacation!!! Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Exceptional Resort

The hotel is amazing. It’s very clean the rooms are nice with shower and bathtub. They promptly clean your room daily and folllow threw on any request. All the employees are happy and kind. This hotel has everything they give a new meaning to all inclusive. They have shows and lots of acitives. They have a kids club. The food is great and you don’t have to make reservations for a la carte resto. They have great wines and lots of choices for alcoholic or non drinks. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Another great time

This hotel is one of our favourites. We were there from October 18-25. It was our second time this year so we were well taken care of. The food was good. We are at the 4 restaurants on our side of the resort. The Japanese being our favourite as usual. The shows where good. They had 2 beach parties and 1 pool party. We will definitely go back

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing Time!!

We recently returned from having stayed at this resort and are very happy with our choice. The rooms were super comfortable, food was delicious and the staff amazing. We are beach people, so cannot comment on the pool, however it did look refreshing! We would recommend this hotel and hope to return in the not so distant future.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: great resort for kids

The rooms were not real clean, (maybe they need better vacuum cleaners). Towels were not always replaced although the used ones were taken away. Placed generally seemed understaffed. Regular maintenance on items like sink drain plumbing and patio door required fixing. Generally the whole place requires upgrades to be competitive with similar resorts. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Rooms had good temperature control and the king size bed was very comfy. This resort felt safe as i [... read more]t is secluded from other resorts and outside beach access. The pools, water slides and lazy river were fantastic for the grandchildren.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: AWESOME RESORT AND STAFF

First off; forget all the negative things you've ever heard about Jamaica and it's people! Their hospitality is second to none! We had the BEST vacation EVER! From check-in to check out, we enjoyed every moment of every day. The resort and staff are top notch; we were upgraded to a swim up room and treated to a birthday spread second to none. The food and restaurants were fantastic.....every meal. JAMAICA NICE! We'll be back for sure!!!!!

I had amazing vacation at the Grand Bahia Principe the staff are friendly the hotel is beautiful it’s very clean the landscape is amazing staff very friendly…we attended a wedding and I was in awe with the services they provided … the nightly entertainment was awesome. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Beautiful resort with all of the right amenities. Staff is the friendliest we have ever experienced.

The venue was very beautiful with all of the palms, flowers and sandy beach. Entertainment at the pool and in the facility were really fun! The food was exceptionally tasty, varied and plentiful. Very relaxing vacation and the wedding ceremony was lovely. Rooms were nice and room service was exceptional. Off resort outings offered were varied and fun. The facility and beach were kept very clean and security was always present. We especially liked the lunch on the beach and beach bars. All in all we enjoyed the experience immensely.

nice and clean, food awesome, staff friendly, beach clean and great for swimming and lots of choices for shade or sun worshipers. Only problem was my wife bit into a piece of plastic in one of the desserts, they made her sign a waver but no compensation or apology. They said they would inspect kitchen and grille staff....

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great experience !!

Just got back from am amazing vacation here at iberostar rosehall beach!!! The weather was amazing, the service was fantastic and the resort is beautiful, but what really made this trip over the top was the unbelievably hard working entertainment crew!!! They really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a good time and that everyone felt included! Sparkles, leggo, chocolate, and macaroni were phenomenal but a HUUGE shout out goes to Mr. neat Kevin Hart and Angel!! They, and the  [... read more]whole entertainment crew, all seem to really love their jobs and help people come out of their shells to enjoy their vacation and have fun. Angel ran things beautifully, and I will miss them all terribly. I Will definitely be coming back !

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Huge Resort!

The resort is very big. There is something for everyone. The pools and beaches were well maintained. The jerk chicken was awesome, we ate it every day. Favourite meal was lunch at Sunset Cove, got a have the snapper. Travelled with a group of 8. Ages 15 to 50. We had a great time. We got lots of exercise. The rooms were huge and the bath tub was awesome. Staff were great, inparticular, the security and spa staff were attentive and helpful. Grand Palladium Jamaica: Excellent 2nd Visit

This was our second time at this resort. We travel at least twice a year and this is the first time we have ever wanted to return to a resort for a second visit. The food was excellent the grounds and public areas are very clean. Our rooms were always clean and housekeeping friendly. Majority of staff are very friendly and helpful. There is never a shortage of chairs around pools or on the beach. When calling reception for any maintenance issues be prepared to call again. When maint [... read more]enance does come out they are extremely helpful, I m just not sure they get the messages in regards to needed repairs. We did have to call regarding our shower several times before it was fixed.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: 4th time here, must be great

This was our fourth time at this hotel, we obviously love it, but this time was the best, they are continually striving to meet guests needs. Hotel is spotless and well maintained. Food at all areas was well prepared and delicious. They treat returning guests like family...they put a welcome home banner on our door, gave us private VIP check in. Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Amazing Resort

The resort is very beautiful, every thing is very amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. The location is perfect , the beach, room service is very good. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Couples Sans Souci: Fabulous all around!

This hotel was stunning. A smaller resort which was great for avoiding large crowds. The food was excellent and the service even better. The beach was gorgeous, and the grounds immaculate. Another highlight was the Dunn's River Falls excursion which was included in the price.

This hotel was is so big and had so many different options for activities that I can't see how someone wouldn’t find something to enjoy it. The location is great, sharing the beaches with only the sister hotel (Lady Hamilton). The grounds were very well maintained, there were always gardeners/pool staff/beach staff keeping everything clean and in good shape. In October, the place never felt crowded. The rooms are beautiful, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The first room we stayed in h [... read more]ad a connecting door to another room, and there was zero noise isolation. After a couple of nights we moved to another room without a connecting door and then we could sleep through the night. But the room itself was great, no complaints. The food was good, with tons of places to eat and a lot of variety. The specialty restaurants were hit and miss: the Mexican is not good, the Italian was great, with the others in between. I loved that no reservations were required! Too bad the Jamaican restaurant was always closed. The best food was the jerk chicken hut by the pool, delicious. There are 3-4 beaches to choose from, all beautiful, no waves, and clear water. The main pool is enormous and really beautiful and there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Archery, Mini Golf, Kayaking, Kids Pool, etc. We also loved the smaller pools closer to the rooms. I found the drinks to be very inconsistently prepared. Depending on which bar you were, it would go from delicious to not-drinkable. The main bar above the pool was always the safer choice. That said, if you were having something like a beer/wine, then it didn't matter. Wi-fi was surprisingly good, but there was only one place in the whole hotel where we didn't have a signal: on our bed, which was unlucky (the other areas in our room had a signal). The downside of having wi-fi throughout the hotel is that a lot of people are just looking at their phones all the time, which obliviously is their choice and not the hotel's fault. Finally, we made good use of the mini club for our toddler and the service there was always good. The ladies there were lovely to our son and we were very comfortable leaving him there every once in a while. We even used the babysitter service, which also worked well. I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone, as there were all types of guests there (families, couples, children, elderly, weddings...), and they all seem to be having fun.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: wedding anniversary at Ochi Beach resort

This was our fourth time at this resort in the last 5 years. Numerous improvement were done and some more are in the works. Ochi Beach resort is Sandals biggest resort with 2 separate sections and hop bus system that is wonderful. The staff at this location are still amazing and so are the five star restaurants. We had the butler villas which we selected because of the cost for sure but our last experience was so outstanding this is the way to go. Any thing you want,desire it will be done. Spent 7 glorious days with little rain on 1 day in the morning,pools were cleaned and very soothing, plenty of drinks around (would recommend Caribbean Blue which is made of vodka, less sugar so you don't blow up) Entertainment every night whether at both auditorium (outdoors) or watch a movie on soft sofa while getting some nachos,popcorn or pizza and our favourite is at Mama's house (Rabbit hole) she sounds like Adele. I would definitely go back again, lot's of water sports to do, contest every day if you wish, beach or pool volleyball,rock climbing,croquet,basketball,tennis,golf. The staff in this location are extremely happy and helpful no matter your issue. Best thing is put your wallet away, no tipping at all.Fantastic food throughout the resort at any time....
