Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Wonderful relaxing week.

Hot 30 degree weather and lots of humidity made for bad hair days but good excuses to lay around the pool, read and people watch. We mostly hung out at the pool by the kids pool as the other one was too warm! Missing my morning cappuccinos in the lobby this week... delicious. The Coba and Tulum beaches though... sooo much seaweed. They work hard to gather, pile and haul away but we didn't go in the water at all. Pretty foul smelling too. Akumel's beach looked clear but we never got down the [... read more]re. We did however have a ocean-view massage at Tulum which was awesome. Buffets were okay... a bit repetitious as usual. Italian and French ala cartes were kinda meh... Mikado at our teppanyaki table was awesome. Try the tapioca dessert there. Lots of music entertainment in and outside of the lobby at Coba kept us entertained after dinner. Watched the magic show one night which was pretty good. Room was nice and cool with a slightly leaky toilet but fridge was refilled daily with our 2 water and 2 beer.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Bahia ambar

We loved this hotel, we had a swim up room. It was beautiful. Big rooms, although lack of hooks to hang towels. Close to pool beach, coffee shop and most restaurants. There are actually seven resorts and you can use all except Fantasia. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Food depends on your taste but you can always find something. Always can get anything you need from butler service. We loved being able to walk out terrace into pool. Only 8 rooms share the pool in front of your room [... read more]. We did get a few mosquito bites so beware if you are pregnant. There is a lot included at this resort. People are great, friendly. All recently renovated in ambar. Can’t wait to go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort

We stayed at the Esmeralda. Rooms were clean. Room was close to the beach, buffet, pools, and lobby. Staff was great. Very friendly. Buffet, and a la cartes were really good. Hotel was nice and clean.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Relaxing Resort!

Pros: Clean rooms Well manicured lawns, shrubs and flowers Excellent food in all restaurants and ala cartes Beautiful huge pool, cleaned daily and nightly Junior suite is perfect room size, bed was very comfortable Great water pressure for showering, toothpaste/toothbrush provided along with extra magnifying mirror, shavers provided as well Hallways where no rugs were, always kept clean Staff are always friendly and easy to talk with. Our housekeeping lady, Shakekeisha L. was such a sweetheart and an amazing house cleaner. She always had a smile on her face, we really liked her. Our room was always immaculately cleaned. Chovuanie Pringle was one of the best servers in the buffet dining room She’s fast and efficient along with a bubbly fun personality... we loved her! Ronaldo along with lots of other buffett staff, I don’t have the names but they were great. Elevators - good but slow Lots of stores to buy tourist items, T shirts, sundries etc. Good nightly entertainment can be found all around resort. Beautiful private spot for weddings. Cons: This hotel charges $30.00 US per day for. Wheelchair Some areas are not handicap accessible. Need more lobby bar staff at the bar in the evenings. Grumpy bartender by the children’s water play pool. He never smiled or acknowledged you half the time. Same with the server during lunch time in the buffet, she never made you feel welcome and you felt like you were bothering her . She wore purple lipstick everyday and do not know her name. The tours are quite expensive to go on. Jewelry store on site very pricey. Bag of chips are $8.00 & up per bag in the shops there.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: amazing place, so much to do! A week in paradise!!!!!

Was totally amazing, Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful, Food was amazing at the Buffet, MEAT restaurant was great, Not happy with the Japanese Tappenyaki @ Bavaro,No show,no flames, no flare, all he did was cook, food was ok but going to a Japanese restaurant is all about the experience, there was none ! I could go to any restaurant and sit in the kitchen and watch them cook. But that was the only complaint I had, The rest was fantastic, We went on the Just Safari Jeep tour,Horse ridin [... read more]g, zip lining,Lunch on the beach, all included in one tour. It was memorable!! Also the Boogie tour was so much fun.I love Ambar resort, So beautiful!!!, was our second visit, The entertainment on the pool deck was great, Micheal Jackson show was right on. almost like watching the real thing!!!!Will certainly return again!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome Vacation

This was my 2nd visit to this resort, and I would definitely go a 3rd time. Had an absolutely wonderful stay. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The beach area was very clean (except for the seaweed). Our room was well cleaned every day, and the fridge restocked daily. My only recommendation would be that the restaurants have armless chairs available for people of larger stature (like myself).

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort!!

Beautiful resort. Room looked exactly as showed online. Food was amazing. Staff were all pleasant! Photographer " Santos" in tulum location was very friendly and professional. Provided my family with beautiful photos of our experiences.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Nice resort

Service in restaurants and bars very good. The fan in our room did not work. Advised them of this 4 times and was told they would send somebody right over but nobody ever showed up. Resort very clean and staff friendly.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Home away from home

My husband and i visited Bahia Principe Tulum for the 5th time in 5 years. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms are a bit dated, but we're not there toc spend our vacation in our room. That being said, the rooms are clean and comfortable. We are always happy to see our old friends (staff) and make new ones. We've always enjoyed the buffets, so much in fact we often miss out on our ala cartes. We find Bahia Tulum simply amazing and customer service is what keeps us going back [... read more]. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Very nice resort

It was very clean and the grounds were well kept. Beautiful beach . The staff were very friendly and helpful . We were not very impressed with the French a la carte or their staff . The food at the meat a la carte was not very good but enjoyed the others we tried .

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: This is not a 5* hotel ..compared other islands..

Service is very poor at the buffets and at the beach also..No follow up from the butler or anybody else...the cards to are had to be changed every second day oufff.The one thing that was good the food in a la carte restaurant.Breakfast was more then ordinary.

the grounds was lush and beautiful,the staff was awesome. the only complaint was had a problem with the jacuzzi in my room it did not get fixed . i had informed front desk and guess services for the first 4 days i finally gave up

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful

The grounds were beautiful. The beaches even more beautiful. I loved how kid friendly the resort was my 3 yr old son and 4 yr old niece enjoyed all if it shows included .theres fun all around for everyone of all ages. I enjoyed the gym aswell The only complaints I have is the the flooring in the kids water park is extremely slippery. My son slipped twice and so did a dozen other kids as well as adults not to mention my sister who slipped fell on her knee and had 2 swollen toes. Also our room had [... read more] a funny smell to it and never enough towels and I had to go through 3 room cards , other then those things we had an amazing time .

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. There are several hotels within close vicinity of each other and accessible based on band privileges. The beaches were beautiful and weather great. The food was disappointing in the buffet. Choices were limited and repeated every day. Although there were cultural themes, the options remained limited. For gluten free folks and those with dietary restrictions, there were very limited options. Dishes were not properly labelled or mislabelled and servi [... read more]ng spoons used across dishes. The hotel provided letter to take to the restaurant to advise of dietary restrictions but the staff were not properly trained on what this meant .

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Fantastic time

This resort was a fantastic place for a wedding and for a large group. The staff were abundant and very helpful. The grounds were always clean. I wished there had been bars open later and with better service, however, the drinks were always delicious.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing vacation

They did an amazing job at remodeling the resort The grounds are beautiful as well as the rooms. I liked the fact that beach area was for Ambar clients only Food at a la carte restaurants was delicious. Staff was friendly as usual Would definitely return

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing spot!

I loved the resort. Staff very friendly, lots of things to do, the only thing I do not like is the people that bug you every time you walk by them to buy time shares, we were even warned about theses people by the west jet employees not to bother with them! And unfortunately the beach was covered with seaweed, after the 3rd day but was a beautiful for the 1st few days! Can’t argue with Mother Nature!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Not the cleanest

Let’s start with the good - we love Jamaica and the food and friendly smiles never disappoint. We wanted a quick getaway and we’re excited to be going. Upon arrival, check in was super smooth but when we got to our room, we were extremely disappointed. Instead of a view of the resort, pool or beach, we had a small enclosed balcony with a very poorly maintained bath tub. I guess the intention is to have privacy but I wouldn’t even wash my shoes in this. A la carte restaurants are very tough to book but if you get in the food is wonderful! They also have fun activities in the pool during the day and a decent nightlife. With a casino, disco and karaoke bar - you will always find something fun to do! If you’re looking for something decent in Jamaica, this place is definitely worth checking out - just make sure you’re not in building 23 and don’t expect the best beach.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic Resort

This resort has recently been updated and is very beautiful. It was beautiful before the renovation but now the rooms are Amazing. The food at the buffet is so good you don’t even need to eat at the A la carte if you don’t want to. The steak at their new Steakhouse called MEAT was just as good as steak at a Steakhouse in Canada.
