Riu Palace Paradise Island: Very nice hotel!!!

Hotel was very nice n food is AMAZING!!! Service is good! Rooms r nice n clean!!! Location is very good as its beside Atlantis and shares a beach with Atlantis and is only 12min walk to Atlantis and Marine Village.

Breezes Bahamas: Beautiful Bahamas

We stayed at Breezes and the beach and ocean were amazing! We spent alot of time off the hotel grounds....swimming with pigs, sharks, snorkeling and going into downtown Nassau and walking over to Atlantis. As far as the hotel...we have many times gone to Mexico where the people are so warm and friendly and welcoming. We did not feel this at the hotel from about 80-90 percent of the staff. Rarely did we feel welcomed or get smiles. If we did get good service we absolutely tipped and in the end saved alot of money on tipping due to their behaviors. Our room was nice...there are no balconies here at all..but it was clean and that's what matters. Our mid way fabulous and was tipped well. They should not advertise they have wifi as it is so spotty everywhere ...there was no place it actually worked and stayed working. There is lots to do at the hotel if you wish to participate. The entertainment staff really worked on that. The pools are not heated and are freezing and not maintained well...so don't plan on swimming in them unless you like cold water that seagulls have been in and flying over all during meals. The food was good. Something for everyone. Italian restaurant was amazing but the only one we got to go to as you have to line up 30-45 minutes before they open to get a table or go back an hour and a half later and try to get in. The restaurants rotate as to what is open when it would be easier and less lineups if they were all open. We always make the best of every situation and had a great time. We did many adventures away from the hotel and those were our best times. We did not find it noisy but we were up in a higher room facing away from the hotel. This is definitely a low 3 star resort which could be much better if the staff morale improved towards guests, they heated a pool and really had wifi. The location and beach are absolutely perfect. Also you have to get your own drinks all day, which was different for us. This hotel does not have anyone in the pool area or beach that serve drinks . If you rent a cabana for 50.00 you may get served ...but there is so much room on the beach a cabana is not necessary. Save the money and take excursions!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: good

Clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Located right by the beach, one side facing Atlantis. Good variety of food, most of them are not warm enough. Room is clean and well maintained, but small in size. Pool and gym are very good.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: The value you receive for the money you pay is not worth it!!

We just got back from our 1 week stay and I have to say, I'm super disappointed. We were first in shock with the lack of value in our room we received when we paid more for a Junior Suite Superior Oceanview, hoax.... we were informed we were supposed to pay for a "Oceanfront" and were given a balcony that faced the pool, nowhere did we see an upgrade to "Oceanfront" when we booked. The hotel property is wide enough to fit a building and a pool, that is it. The beachfront is littered with locals  [... read more]trying to sell you drugs which was a huge shock. No privacy whatsoever. I decided to put a complaint in after the 100th time being asked if we wanted "smokie smokie or cocaine" and given attitude because we kept saying NO by the individual. We were being asked in front of RIU hotel staff no less. The female manager I spoke to appeared to be interested in getting the certain person off of the beach by calling the police, the male manager just stood there and said nothing. The police came and stood around for 20 minutes by the beach and left. We went back down soon after and guess who immediately met us on the beach.... "smokie smokie"!! Unbelievable. We found a cockroach in our bathroom the last day which was pretty much the final straw. I will never go back to this hotel. What a shame, the food was a little repetitive but great tasting, the staff for the most part were top notch, sooooo friendly and genuinely wanted to make sure your meal time was enjoyed. Jacky was the best hostess we came across by far so if you decide to chance this hotel, at least let her take care of you during your meals. Our trip was pretty much summed up when my girlfriend said she wished we just went back to Cuba this time. Now no offence to Cuba, because I love that place. But Cuba and the Bahamas should never compare, especially when you're paying close to double the cost for your Bahama experience. The value you receive here is simply not worth the money you spend..... PERIOD!!!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Awesome trip

Hotel and all areas were in excellent shape. Staff were awesome and always polite. Food was first class and they made sure you were happy. Service was fantastic. Friendliest staff I have ever experienced.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Beautiful hotel

Clean. Beautiful rooms. Heated pools. Amazing staff..good food.beautiful beach. What more could you ask for? Enjoyed the location and the little things like the coffee bar and fridge in our room. Will be back. Check in and check out were easy.

Breezes Bahamas: Breezes lived up to its name!

We have just returned from ten days at Beautiful Breezes. Spent most days on the beach except for the last few where the wind threatened to blow us away My favourite part of this resort was the absolutely enforced no smoking policy. It was amazing to not have to deal with second hand smoke and I appreciated how seriously security dealt with any offenders We spent most nights at the Italian restaurant that had the best service. Night one we did Garden of Eden and it was great, second try it [... read more] was unbearably slow and we did not return. The Asian restaurant had great food and service but inexplicably the management insisted on the same big band song on repeat over and over and after an hour it was like being tormented. Would have returned but we could not deal with that again Music was loud by the pool but turned off promptly at 11:45pm which was fine. Loved that the two cats on the property were both fixed and cared for by staff Ventured to nearby zoo on the city bus and it was very easy to get there, staff very helpful in advising us on the process Would definitely return, despite the wind, well maintained resort and the staff were all amazing

The Royal at Atlantis: Great resort

Great resort, very high end design and attention to details went into the construction. Was built in 1998 I believe so its age is noticeable in the rooms, we stayed in the west tower of the Royal, room smelled musty/moldy but again I believe this is due to age not cleanliness because the entire resort is quite tidy. The Aquaventure park is second to none and the Cove beach and Pools nearest the cove are outstanding. All in all great trip and hassle less thanks to the staff. AL

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Amazing vacation

This hotel is a small pretty quiet place. Our expectations were not crazy high but they were exceeded! The food was amazing much better than anywhere south we’ve been (Cuba, Dominican). The beach is amazing and beyond huge with plenty of loungers And a great beach bar with great lunch food. Our room was very nice and clean however there was a lack of hot water but they just suffered an intense hurricane so we didn’t bother to complain. Overall I’d recommend this to any of my friends and family.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Great Stay at the Viva Wyndham

Minus a long check in, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and appearance of the room; the oceanfront rooms are the way to go! The food was very good, we enjoyed the options at each meal. Fortuna beach is stunning, but the water cool this time of year. Service is OK, and the staff are generally friendly- especially if you have a tip ready. The pool wasn't heated so we did not go in (super cold!).

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: We had a wonderful time

The rooms were clean and the resort and staff were very friendly and the food was awesome. I also would like to thank Jess at Tripcentral for taking care of everything you did an amazing job Jess There was lots of entertainment and the beach and the pools were clean and very warm.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Very entertaining!

The show performers make this place stand out. During the days, they are actively involved in all activities and engage the tourists at all times. It's great to see them check up on you and ensure that you are having a good time. It is a fairly spacious resort, you can easily find spots on the beach, which is beautiful. There is so much to do! A soccer field, basketball court, beach volleyball, kayaking or sailing, apparently bicycling which I found out about later, pool tables, foosball, ping p [... read more]ong, karaoke, nightly disco bar which is lively, a very decent snack bar that has lots of options, a main bar where you can relax inside and not feel crowded at all. There's a trio of a la carte restaurants which are really good. If I ever go back, a big part of it is the crew that works there that made it a fun experience.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Very mediocre resort but nice beach

The riu here has been renovated but is still pretty dated and is nothing spectacular. Rooms are clean, highly recommend an ocean FRONT room on a high floor. The food is pretty standard buffet all inclusive, wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for high end luxury but a good choice if you want a cheap short getaway with all meals included.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Fantastic Resort

Food was great! Activities were loads of fun. I just loved getting to know some of the staff there. Fabulous dancers and great New Year's Eve fun. Rooms were okay but I would have loved to be able to go for a night swim in the pool.

The food was OK just OK not much options for the seafood the stuff is amazing the activity guys were active but some of them are not friendly I can remember a few names here The weather was very very bad 😬

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Meh

We had higher expectations of this hotel. We’ve stayed at other Riu hotels and found this one had no warmth. The service was brutal at the buffet. Constantly waiting for coffee refills. We couldn’t get a reservation for any of the a-la-carte restaurants, and our room smelled musty. The thermostat didn’t work and our room was constantly cold. The safe had to be repaired twice. Our maid was great and made sure we had extra towels and extra water, but that was about the only positive  [... read more]experience we had. We spent most of our time at Atlantis and ended up eating there too.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Wonderful

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with the food. The only thing was that the music was very loud coming from the swim up bar. We loved the 24 hour room service!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Nice and clean hotel

Very nice resort with friendly and courteous staff. The restaurants were nice and exquisite offering a nice selection of food and drinks. Rooms were clean. The beach, pools , Hot Jacuzzi pool were clean and properly maintained. Music was neither loud, nor dull - just appropriate. We enjoyed our stay at the Melia.

Hotel was beautiful Water was too wavy didn’t get to go into the ocean , the wheather was bad though only one day of sunshine when we were there . Food and staff were great ! What was great though was that the Atlantis was right next door so we walked over there every night for the casino and the bars . One thing that can be improved was that you should be able to make a reservation for the restaurant the night before . Riu Palace Paradise Island: Hopefully you have a better experience

The resort itself is a decent size. The heated pool made up for the cooler weather we experienced during our stay. We had a few problems with our room, the in room safe didn’t work, the TV remote wasn’t responsive and finally a problem with the door to our room, where the access card would not work and we had to be relocated to a different room on our second night. The second room had a ceiling vent that was uneven and exposed all the pipes and wires. Even though we got a new room, we still  [... read more]had to get our cards reprogrammed 3-4 times per day, which was quite annoying. The worst was that we had complained and requested to speak with the manager, who did not have the decency to come speak with us regarding the inconvenience. The staff seemed unenthusiastic, and not very friendly. The room service menu was disappointed along with the late night food options and availability. It would have been nice if the manager made themselves available for a chat rather than avoiding us, I’m sure we would have a better experience if the manager acknowledged the issues and offered a simple apology. Compared to other resorts we have visited in the Caribbean, we didn’t feel the staff was hospitable.
