Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Great Vacation

I was really concerned with all the negative reviews and even contemplated changing locations. I am glad I decided to give it a try. The resort is over an hour from the airport. The ride was okay and the driver even stopped for us to get some beers and go to the washroom. The check-in was easy. We had preferred club, and stayed at the adult only pool. It was easy getting a spot by the pool. Walked the beach and swam in the ocean. It was amazing seeing the tide going in and out. The fo [... read more]od was good. You will not starve. We had room service 3 times and ate at each of the specialty restaurants. The omelet station is only there on certain days, so make sure you get one while you can. The staff are friendly, the resort is dated but well cared for. My husband had trouble sleeping on the bed, but I found it okay. A vacation is what you make it. I am glad I didn't listen to all the negative reviews. One truth that must be stressed is the "Can't see ums". They have mosquito like bugs that are almost invisible and bite. I didn't get my first bite until days three. The bites are really itchy. Bring an after-bite cream or Benadryl for the itching. The resort does fumigate and provide little repellant wipes. I brought bug spray and spayed the sun beds. Overall, 7/10. Happy vacationing.

Dreams Natura Resort and Spa: Showing its age

Staff is friendly, food is mediocre (especially if you have any dietary restrictions, very limited). The pool is nice but not amazing. Small for the number of rooms but a couple of options. Hotel has a strange sewage smell in certain areas. Rooms are in rough shape with broken appliances, missing appliances and doors. Restrictions on room service and features definitely remove it from 5 star status. Don’t follow the very pushy sales team, it’s not worth the 250$ credit.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Awesome Resort!

This is my second time at Dreams Onyx within the last three months. Unlimited a la carts, lots of pool loungers by pool, beach and lazy river. The staff are wonderful. Thanks to Jefry and Eliphet supplying drinks by the pool. Our favourite by far was Junior at the lobby bar. He made us amazing drinks every night, became a great friend and overall took great care of us. Looking forward to returning soon.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Excellent experience

Lovely surroundings. Wonderful room. Staff were very helpful and all seemed helpful. We have travelled a lot and this was the most beautiful place we have been. Just exceptional. Meals were very good. We ate at every restaurant. Favourite was Asian.

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana: Excellent Resort

Took our family of 6 (including grandsons 16 and 12) on a family vacation. Resort is very clean, friendly staff, great food and lots to do. Did not take "Preferred Guest" package and had a great time. Tipped staff a little and received great service even without tipping. The only negative was New Year's Eve. Resort was decorated beautifully but Entertainment was not good. Also, not impressed with entertainment on other nights and would only rate a 3 out if 5.

Dreams Huatulco: Good Resort

Good clean grounds and rooms. Beach is good and clean. Food was great except for Xmas. Check was bad but was for good for others. I will return but unsure when because direct flights. Ala cartes were good except for one.

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Beautiful

The beach was amazing,always kept clean. The staff were wonderful,very helpful. The rooms abit dated, but it was clean.The fridge had lots of pop,water and beer,was stocked daily. We were there over Christmas time,the decorations were beautiful,they also had a dinner on the beach Christmas eve,it was so nice,every kind of food,we were impressed.The staff worked a 1 1/2 days setting up. My only complaint was my husband and I both smoke and did not realize we would have to go out in front of  [... read more]the hotel to smoke. It was not the place to send the smokers as this was where buses ,taxi's, and people with children have to walk by.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Beautiful but large resort nestled in a forested area

The grounds of this resort are well-maintained and extensive. The pools and beach were beautiful. The food and service were good and the staff were very nice. The only issue we had was with the restaurant dinner reservation system, which was haphazard and favoured the "executive members" or if you were willing to pay $35 US per person. Often, tables sat empty for most of the dinner service because they would be reserved for one of the above groups. This meant you had to eat inside the buffet, wh [... read more]ich was basically the same food every evening, tasty but nothing special. On Christmas eve, there was no buffet, only dinner on the beach, for which you had to pay a very expensive surcharge for the same thing normally offered in the buffet. The rooms and most spaces on the resort were clean, but for some odd reason, many of the outside walls were not. Also, it is best not to go here during Christmas and New Year's because the noise created from turning two of the pools into the New Year's evening event, which you must pay extra for ($100 US per person),Christmas Eve dinner on the beach was also $100 per person and there was absolutely nothing extra for Christmas day dinner just the regular menus. Also, the wines offered are only the two houses, red and white. All others were very overpriced, cheap wines. There is lots of wildlife, birds and nature to see on the resort and around the resort and there are trails through the mangroves too. You can easily see all three species of monkeys. We did the sunset cruise and fishing trip, which we booked directly on the beach. These were wonderful, too. There are lots of tours to take as well. There are car rentals right at the resort, and you can book online with Enterprise before you go. There were lots of kids activities and the resort really catered to kids. No one in our family got sick, and we ate and drank everything. Lots of great weak specialty drinks, so you can have many without getting too hammered.Lots to eat and the pool food was good.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: I will think twice before going back.

This was our 4th. time to the resort!!! I am not sure if we will go back. We had a group of 9. Trying to get rooms close together was impossible even though we made reservations 6 months in advance. The service has definitely gone DOWN HILL!! The staff tries hard to do the best that they can but unfortunately there is no help from management. There was no coffee pods for the rooms, no soap, shampoo or wash cloths. The staff said that there were no supplies. It was nice to have the Coco cafe [... read more] on premise, too bad that the ice cream freezer was not working. We were told to go to Secrets but we had children so that was out of the question. Some of the sidewalks are in great need of repair because of the wholes, it makes it hard for people with mobility issues or parents with strollers. Great snorkeling!!!

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Wonderful for Kids, but Not Great for Adults

Not recommended for adults without kids but great for families. The resort is small. There were 5 restaurants for dinner, with one closing once per week, so that really limited our choices. The buffet served breakfast and lunch only. The Japanese restaurant was being renovated so the buffet restaurant served as the Japanese restaurant at supper time. However, we got there one night to enjoy Japanese food only to see that the World Cafe (buffet) was closed down. There was a big "official" note on [... read more] the door, in Spanish, that basically said the restaurant was closed due to "sanitation" problems. We scrambled to get a seat for dinner at another restaurant and when we were done, noticed that the buffet had re-opened (in less than 1 1/2 hours). We were told there were sanitation code violations in the kitchen which were since rectified. Also, worth noting, is that there are "leaks" in the buffet restaurant and window ledges in the hallways. These were not patched up but towels simply placed everywhere to dry up the water leaks. No gardening staff outside at all so many of the trees/shrubs had many dead leaves on them. World Cafe had dead plants inside along the window ledge. Not a good sign when you see this - makes you wonder what they are hiding. The staff were amazing. They made our stay better because of it. However, for the reasons above, we won't be back

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana: Perfect destination wedding resort

We were here for a wedding in December 2024. The resort is clean. There is a lot to do on the resort - waterpark, lazy river, smaller kids pool, beach volleyball, bocce ball, arcade etc. This is probably the best resort we have been to for great service in every area (bar service, maids, pool service, and servers) The staff is very attentive and you do not have to tip to get good service, however I am sure they are appreciative of any tips. Food is good and a lot of selection. The taco truc [... read more]k at the water park was fabulous. The only draw back is there are a lot of weddings at this resort. A lot of large parties due to weddings, so there were restaurants not available every night for dinner as they were booked for receptions . If you also go in a large group and want to eat together, they have a limited menu to choose from (to make it easier and quicker for the cooks and service). They did allow different options for anyone that did not want the limited menu, but we found it was better to eat in smaller groups to get the food we wanted. The beach is nice and well maintained but the water has a very strong undertow. I think there was a red flag 5 out of 7 days. Security on the resort is very good - especially near the beach area. It was a very nice resort and I would go here for a wedding anytime.

Dreams Huatulco: Great Resort as usual!

This was our third time to Dreams, Huatulco and as usual the grounds, rooms, and staff were fantastic. We plan on going again! The Oceania Restaurant was our favorite and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner there most days. Overall, the selection at the buffet was not as good as it has been in past years, but the staff was great. The golf course was not open, it has never been open on our previous trips, as far as I am concerned, it does not exist and will never influence my decision to atten [... read more]d this area. Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Great resort

The resort was wonderful, we were in the new section of the resort and the best we've ever had. The resort was extremely large, with trolley running between sections frequently and friendly fun drivers. Entertainment was very good, better than the regular resorts. Billy, our concierge was very attentive and supportive, not intrusive. No reservations required at the restaurants, which was great, we did not wait, but resort was not full. Hyatt Vivid Cancun: Weekend away!

My Husband and I went away for 4 nights, it was truly the best resort vacation we’ve had. The food was incredible- our favourite memories are the fireworks during dinner on the rooftop and the fun hibachi grill dinner. Highly recommend doing the preferred club to have the best royal treatment!

Dreams Huatulco: Fabulous resort!

We absolutely loved this resort. After a horrible experience in Puerto Vallarta last year, we were looking for something new and decided to try Huatulco. We could not have been more impressed. The resort is smaller than some of the neighbouring resorts, but everything about it was fantastic. The restaurants were great - the food was varied and tasty - even the pickiest eater would be able to find something that they enjoyed. The are 6 pools - three of them infinity pools overlooking a beautiful beach. Two of the pools were adults only. The clientele appeared to be a mixture of older couples and young families. Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Deams Flora Resort and Spa is a beautiful clean property. The resort staff are exceptional and strive to make each guest have a great vacation. Not only do they provide great service but some feel like family during your stay. I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Great resort, horrible food

If we were coming to this resort just to enjoy the pool, rooms, staff I would definitely come back, but unfortunately the food was mediocre and the same thing everyday. We had some trouble with check in and constantly being told to check back in an hour, after 5 hours of waiting after being told our room would be ready in 1 hour, we finally got our King suite tropical view. Room was clean, and nice no issues with the room. Resort itself is well laid out all the restaurants/shops are in the main area. We never ventured over to the preferred side as we never needed too. Pools never felt over crowded even with the main one, being closed for a day to clean up some baby poop. By far the best was the infinity that overlooked the beach area. There was never a free chair by the pool even in the sun. We often found a drop spot to put our stuff and just spent the day in the pool. We were celebrating our first vacation without our young kids, so we were enjoying not having to be up at 6am everyday which seems like you need to, to snag a pool char. Can rent cabanas we were quoted $100 usd a day others were quoted different prices. Beach is small but that's fine by us as I hate walking foe miles through the sand to get to the water. Because the water was so close when you were in the infinity pool it felt like you were right there. Food. Honestly there was never not something to eat, but your going to wait in long lines to get in and at the buffet wait in long lines to get made to order meat/fish/eggs. Fruit was subpar not even pineapple which I love nothing more than pineapple on vacation, they had lots of apples which were bland. Food being restocked at the buffet took forever,. A la carte. The only one we thoroughly enjoyed was the Asian/Tepenakyi. Every other restaurant was meh, and dessert was bland and unappealing. Staff work tirelessly, most have a smile and genuinely make you feel welcomed, there are always those that seem like they hate life and show it in their customer service. Honestly for the price you pay now for vacations, especially booking last minute and still spending a big chunk of change I expected more for my money.

Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Jim Oneill-Wonderful person and agent who saved our bachelor party

Jim Oneill from TripCentral was amazing and deserves recognition for his great work. He helped me save a 7-person bachelor party trip that was jeopardized after a bad interaction with another travel agency. I contacted him with our goals for the trip and he immediately helped us and provided a trip package within the same day (on a Sunday!). Since it was the weekend, we had everything booked by the following day and everything went smoothly from there.
