Ocean Riviera Paradise: Fantastic hotel!

Everything in Ocean Riviera Paradise was fantastic. The necessary facilities were well-equipped, and the staff was friendly, plus there were good amenities. Staff were friendly towards tourists, and they also had tables for different varieties of excursions and decent USB ports to charge smartphones.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful resort!

The resort has wonderful facilities, a quiet pool in the Daisy area for families, a middle pool great for lounging and the pool bar for those wanting to join in the social activities in the pool. Good bar service, great variety and quality at the buffet and great reservation restaurants- especially the Blue Moon. Friendly and helpful staff. It was quite windy while we were there so not much time in the ocean and quite an open shoreline. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Very nice resort!

We were a family of four traveling to Ocean El Fero. 2 adults and 2 teens. This is a typical all inclusive resort, but I really have nothing bad to say about it. Even at max capacity itwasn’t overcrowded. We were always able to reserve seats as long as we went out early,and the food was pretty decent for Dominican Republic. Our room had a nice patio with a swing and there were some rooms that were swim out, which looked very nice. We spent quite a bit of time at the beach and the lazy river. We [... read more] arrived on a Thursday and there were many vendors pressing for sales in the main eating area, which was a bit alarming as we were just arriving, but they were only there that first day possibly every Thursday? Overall, a great experience I wouldn’t return unless it was free as there’s too many other places to see, but not for any other reason.

hotel was great easy to navigate. rooms were very good . ala carteecomfortable beds bathroom was a great size walk in shower was huge with all the goods you would need and more. buffet restaurants were very good with lots to choose from.a la carte restaurants were good all very close to everything.

Ocean Eden Bay: Amazing resort

Loved everything about this hotel. Food was amazing. Staff were incredible. Beach and views were wow. Do not read the negative reviews and go. I will definitely be returning in the near future.Can not wait!!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great Caribbean Resort

The staff were great, rooms were clean, completely updated shower. The two pools were great also, for children and adults. The buffet was great a wonderful selection of food and no shortage. The al-carte restaurants mostly good. The Mexican restaurant needs some work with service, organization, both at front door, and busying of tables,, food was very average, but tasty, you left hungry. When you arrived you heard I have a reservation I thought no reservation allowed. You look in the restaurant it was almost empty no room available had to come back at a different time that they reserved for you. Another question. But all in all resort is what you expect for a Caribbean resort. A crowd please not at the top of my list as a five star. Having all that I would return to this resort. P.S. Take private transportation 1.5 hours after air travel to get to resort.

Our room was very convenient to the main buffet, pool, lobby, and beach. The food was really great i would say one of my best experiences. The staff were all happy and helpful. Our week was exactly what we hoped thank you!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Awesome resort

Was just the right size. Lots to do, if you felt like doing something, or just float around and relax. Pools are great, the ocean is even better. Food was amazing. The room was very roomy and nice. I need to find those pillows some how!! Was perfect for me.

The resort itself is beautiful as is the ocean view as well as the courtyard area where all the buildings are where guest stay. Buffet area on man side was poorly serviced. Once tables were used for breakfast or dinner cleaning them was non existent. Plates removed but glasses and surfaces were not cleared for others arriving after the first people. The Tortuga side was well managed and serviced cleaning used tables. We focused using that side as it connects to the same buffet area!! The deck [... read more] overlooking the shoreline is an exquisite place to relax under a roof as well. However, it does not get table cleaning service at all even though it should. Staff merely clear plates from lunch but leave glasses from water/drinks etc and no cleaning done. I was there 10 days and shocked at this. It totally ruins a beautiful spot. Most attendees are seen moving these glasses etc aside or to another table to sit with the plate of food to eat they get from the connect shoreline buffet. Food was fine but many dishes the food was not hot as it should for health reasons. I avoided those items most were cold. I have stayed many times at RUI at other countries not DR. The difference is glaring on all front but the view here with was beyond words. Bar's and drinks, it should be noted that drinks such as screwdriver don't get orange juice. The use a orange drink or Tange like product but its definitely not orange juice. Hence lacking combination, the buffet seemed a tad better but doubt it was orange juice as we know it. Staff command of the english is certainly lacking even at basic level. More so than other places I have been even though the majority are Canadian, UK or some USA guest where english is their language. The bar tender had no idea what a Screwdriver was not when I said vodka and orange juice, deer in the headlight look. He consulted with a senior person. Its not an uncommon or complex drink. LOL

We visited the Dominican Republic for the first time Feb 22 - March 4. Our family consisted of two adults in their 70's and two adult children in their 30's. The resort suited the 4 of us as a family very well. I would say the Riu chain suited the seniors better for quality of food as well entering the pools. There was no rail at Ocean Blue and Sand. . Ocean Blue and Sand: beautiful and clean site

great food, cleanliness, service is ok but not 5 star like they claim, restaurant service is ok... if you arr not privilege member you only get to dine before 6 or after 8:30 and it is hard to find a good chair on the beach you have to get up at 6 and reserve one. Also got eaten alive by bugs, both my legs are covered in bug bites

Ocean Eden Bay: Beautiful Resort

My husband and I had the most incredible experience at this resort! We had exceptional service, exciting entertainment and wonderful dining during our stay. We are sincerely thankful for the outstanding service given to us from Samantha during our check in. This young lady deserves a promotion! We were completely happy with her warm, friendly service. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Great resort. Beautiful beach. Huge lobby. Amazing service. Great buffet. Clean resort, pools and rooms. AC didn't work. They offered to change our rooms. Hate the chair reservation using towels despite signs everywhere.Not enough umbrellas at the pool or beach.

Everything was fantastic . Rooms were very clean and taken care of. Refrigerators had plenty of drinks every day. Food was very good and plentiful. Staff were fantastic at restaurants and bars anywhere on the grounds. It is fairly quiet but busy enough.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Games Played at Check-In

When booking privilege honeymoon suite as a couple you would not expect to be assigned a room in the family section! Check-in took 90 minutes as we were not about to spend 10 days with families. We finally were assigned the room we booked and paid for. Then we were assigned a butler that was useless. Couldn’t book us in any restaurant unless it was 6 or 9pm, couldn’t book a bali bed, couldn’t give us a bottle of the privilege wine that was to be in our room. After one day of this terrible but [... read more]ler, we met up with the head butler, Brandon and what do you know? We got into all restaurants for the rest of our stay at 7 or 7:30, our friends received a bali bed for the week and I finally got the wine I paid for. The difference between terrible service and wonderful service is all in the butler. It was a terrible start to our 10 day vacation but then it turned around and ended up nicely. The beach had a lot of seaweed but they cleaned it up well each day. However the beach loungers were in very bad condition, they looked old and saggy. The El Beso pool was very clean, but very crowded. The loungers quite comfortable. Jose and Alexander were very diligent in keeping everyone happy with their towels and water. And the best pool server, Ricardo! He was very happy and excellent at what he does. Having said that, he is the only server around this pool…he was run off his feet!Restaurants were the big disappointment for us. Food was just ok, mostly just lukewarm at all restaurants. Service for the most part was slow. But, we realized that the restaurants are severely understaffed. I think that would be the big thing with this resort. Understaffing which seems to be why they can only seat half the tables. The buffet, in my opinion, was one of the worst Ive seen at an all inclusive for a long time. Definitely cater to kids. Where were all the vegetables? It seemed to be all burgers, hot dogs, pizza, fries and various pastas. On a positive note, this resort is clean, beautifully landscaped and well maintained but would we go back? No!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Cleanest I have ever stayed in!

The food was great in all the restaurants with enough selection to satisfy the pickiest eater. The rooms were amazingly large and comfortable. The staff unbelievably friendly and helpful. This is the second time I stayed at this resort and still not disappointed with anything. The staff appear to be constantly cleaning the public bathrooms and they did an awesome job cleaning the rooms. I am hoping to return a third time next year!

The food was fantastic. The shrimp bisque from Blue Moon was out of this world! The beaches were breathtaking, clean, white sand, clear warm water. The pools looked nice but we didn’t use them once because the beach was so nice. The system on getting beach loungers needs to be better, but this happens at every resort.

Ocean Eden Bay: Group trip

The property of Ocean Eden Bay is absolutely stunning from the moment you entered the lobby. A good variety of food, a la cartes were easy to book even for our group of 16. The rooms were spacious and all face the pool with a nice swing in your balcony. The pool is very large with multiple raised areas to bathe. The problem was boredom and a terrible beach.. The entertainment was the same every night just a different costume. Entertainment at the pool was learning a dance day after day 9-11, [... read more] nothing from 12-3 then often someone playing an instrument like a violin for almost an hour. They do have a foam party once a week that the entire pool enjoys but only once a week. The bars around the pool often ran out of ice or commonly requested items. The beach is very small, we were not given any service for drinks. All watersports closed around 11 due to wind which they said happens often. The water is almost all coral you have to have water shoes and still be very careful to find a clear spot to stand. It is super shallow not conducive to swimming. The resort stands alone so no beach walking. The staff on the other hand were very friendly and I felt completely safe on the property.

Ocean Riveria Paradise is an amazing resort. Definately recommend staying here. Food was spectacular we did not have a single bad meal. Location is amazing because you are close to downtown playa del carmen and very close to a lot of the excursions that happen in the Riveria Miya area. Service was amazing. 10/10.

We would recommend the Mexican restaurant for lunch and hitting the a la carte for dinner. The la carte fills up quickly so we needed to book at 8am when the reservation for the day opened up. And if you want a lounge chair be sure to get out there early. We had good fun participating in the events. The silent dance party was our favourite. A fun stay with decent food. We would go back and close to town.
