Grand Oasis Cancun: Poorly Run Resort

Stayed here during mid march and was very disappointed with my stay. The staff here for the most part lack any kind of customer service - unless you are female or tipping they will not serve you. One instance at a pool bar the bartender refused to serve me as I wouldn't give him my hat. The only staff who were truly a pleasure to deal with were the ones working in the coffee shops. The food here is beyond disgusting and lacks any kind of quality/care. The meat is low quality (when it is actua [... read more]lly cooked) and the rest of the buffet food looks and tastes like its 5 days old. The a la cart restaurants are just serving the same buffet food on a plate and the staff at these restaurants are also tip demanding and lack any care for their job. The resort is full of 20 year old "dudes" running wild drinking four loco and cause mayhem at all hours of the day and night. The staff at the hotel also have many extra fees including wifi, safe and will even try to say you damaged a hotel room (as they did with me on my first day of checking in). I was accused of damaging a door that was made of scrap wood and after demanding to speak with the manager, it was determined that the scrap wood used was not cut straight and the door was not damaged but just had a gap in it (not a crack) The best part about this resort was the beach and being able to get a chair at the pool or beach anytime of the day. I would not recommend traveling to this resort.

Grand Oasis Palm: Great family resort

Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Good service. There are several pools and kids are welcome in all of them. Nice, sandy, sheltered beach which means little to no waves. Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas. Great location. Right beside the ferry to Isla Mejures and some pirate ships! Food is good but not great. Lots of options in the buffet but if you have specific dietary needs, you might be less than thrilled. Staff were not very helpful when I asked about gluten-free options.  [... read more] My kids didn't like the kids club. They thought it was too scheduled and not very fun. Their only other kids club experience was on a cruise and they loved that one. I'd stay here again. We all had a good time.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Worst Resort I have EVER stayed in, in my entire life

I will start by saying the beach and ocean was stunning and beautiful and the pool area was standard. I have NEVER in my life received worse service. My biggest issue was not being able to have water. I have never called down to a front desk to have them tell us they were bringing water up and just blatantly never came multiple times. We fought the whole 7 days for drinking water which is completely unacceptable! The room was also the worst I have ever stayed in. Filthy when we arrived. It serio [... read more]usly looked like the place got robbed as there was no furniture minus a broken table, metal chair and the bed. The walls are paper thin and connected to the next room with no proper door or lock. My partner and I could hear everything going on in the room next to us. The service at the restaurants was generally poor and the food was lower-medium quality. I felt like most staff was rude or stand off-ish and we tipped well so this was a big disappointment. You can only really get drinks in the pool and it was busy at all times, so getting drinks was sometimes tough. Their website gives false information RE: the upgrade to the black wristband. My boyfriend and I made the best of our trip but I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Grand Oasis Palm: Grand Oasis Sens

Cancun mexico is a really fun atmosphere. Grand Oasis Sens was a beautiful resort. The food was great, I was told this was a party resort but it really was not. Being an adult only resort there was a lot more of an older ground 30+. The service on the other hand was not great. I got to the resort expecting a beautiful balcony view only to find out our room has no balcony only a window. We tried to upgrade our room and the front desk people lied to us on numerous occasions about method of payment [... read more] and would change the price each day for the upgrade.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great Hotel

It would've been nicer to have some service at the beach. There's no bar at the beach. Bartenders were limiting drinks. Perhaps it was because it was March break for certain countries. Food was mediocre at best. Buffet was the same old thing day after day. No meat no nothing no themes . Not much to do at night.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Fun times but upgrade to black

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms a/c hardly worked. You also have to pay for everything wifi, lockbox in room. Which they dont tell you from the start. Upragde to black membership also. The hotels restaurants were amazing for black members (vip) which made up for all the other stuff All in all great experience. I wouldnt go back because of the hotel, but because i set that place on fire haha ( not literally)

Grand Oasis Cancun: Beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful resort and beach! Food was good. Rooms were clean. Was disappointed with the lack of entertainment on the resort. Service was slow majority of the time. Could have been due to being there over spring break. Overall, very nice resort. :)

Grand Oasis Sens: Understaffed, over rated!!!

I absolutely hate writing bad reviews but I felt this was necessary. A group of 10 of us went and we did not have high expectations by any means but it was worse than we could have thought. This resort is very understaffed and run down. Water: we were never able to get water bottles at any bar except the lobby bar which managed to run out everyday meaning you could not get water bottles unless you ordered them through room service which costed 11$. You get 2 bottles in your room and that’s [... read more] it. Being in Mexico and in the sun it shouldn’t be such a hassle to get water bottles. Food: buffet is awful, very limited selection. Only open for breakfast and dinner. We had a group of 10 and could never get a table together, they made us seem like we were always bothering them when asking to sit together. Only 2 other restaurants you can eat at without a reservation and don’t cost extra. Moonlight the Italian was by far the best restaurant in terms of service and food. 8/10 people in my group got extremely sick from the food unable to leave the washroom for at least a day. Not how you want to spend vacation. Drinks: the bar rail alcohol tastes like nailpolish remover, when you ask for Smirnoff or absolute vodka they make it seem like you’re asking for a huge favour. There’s also a limited amount of bars around the resort- 1 at the beach, 1 in the lobby and 2 at the pool that’s it. They are extremely understaffed, it takes forever to get a drink at the lobby bar you really only get one at night before it closes. As well they ran out of beer across the entire resort. Rooms: only a sheet on the bed, we had ants all over our night table every morning when we would wake up, my friend had a massive cockroach in hers. Meanwhile we were in the grand sens plus which meant we were supposed to get a stocked mini fridge which was not stocked and there was no other difference. Walls are super thin you hear everything. Beach: beach is beautiful and water is very nice. Pool: great layout and super fun during the day. Entertainment: amazing entertainement staff and activities. Participate and you’ll have a blast!

The Pyramid Cancun: not happy waste of time

This resort is very loud noise,number one party place not for people going to relax we have booked in 5 star but doesn't feels that you are treated as five star accommodation never go back and recommended to any one who just going for relax. This vacation was waste of money and time for me.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Great family place

Lovely grounds, attentive and well organized kids club. Hotel needs to get a better system for cleaning seaweed. While seaweed itself is natural and unavoidable, leaving it plastic bags for several days is an eyesore to what would otherwise be just a naturally beautiful beach.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Very nice resort

Hotel itself was very nice and very clean with the acception of sewer smell in the bathroom of out room that would only be in the evening. The llocals and personelle that waited on us were very friendly. The only negative draw back was that we were not informed from Susan Snyder that arranged the reservation , she failed to inform on how far the hotel was from the airport. And everywhere we went we felt obligated to tip because the personelle would ask for tips. The beach was nice but had too much smelly seaweed all along the shore . It was not pleasant to look at everyday and smell. The last day we were there they passed a tractor collecting all the seaweed. This should have been done when people were not on the beach. Not much room to walk on the beach or grounds.

Grand Oasis Riviera: wow too much

this resort was awesome,from our arrival late Friday night the service was great the staff friendly the food was amazing.Thank you Mexico thank you Grand Oasis Tulum we will visit again likely in Feb/Mar 2020.

Grand Oasis Sens: OK resort

It was a slightly older resort but very clean and we'll maintained. There was a large percentage of gay and lesbians population there at this time , so if this offends you I would suggest that you go elsewhere, but e found it to be OK. If you have issues with climbing stairs, this is not the place to go. There are about 20 stairs to go down to the breakfast buffet, which was very nice. To get to the main pool there is a dozen stair steps and another four to the next level of the entertainment [... read more] pool and another 10 to 12 to get to the beach. The bars were available at most levels , but the washrooms were not easily accessible or close, there could be more washrooms. Entertainment was pretty good at the pool stage and Kinky's bar and the piano lobby bar. I would suggest that you go to the concierge office to try to get on the shuttle to the Grand Oasis Cancun resort for the free Caberate show or others that are available. They don't really mention the shows unless you have the San Kan upgrade but it was excellent. If you are adventurous you might try to rent a smart car in the lobby to venture out on your own, or take an excursion or two to Tulum or other sights. The water was rather rough when we were there in early March so no kayak or snorkeling was available, but the beach is pretty and we'll maintained.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Very good, family friendly cozy hotel

The hotel is very family friendly, lots to do for young children, if you are looking for a party hotel this is not it but if you are looking for relaxing and peace this is the place to go. The stuff is very friendly and the food is amazing, lots of variety and high quality foods. The beach is beautifil unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of see weeds, of course it only happens sometimes.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Average vacation

This hotel had its pros and cons. The hotel is beautiful to look at from the outside. Kept very nice on the outside and the beach and pools where very nice. Restaurant staff very nice, bar staff money talks and definitely under staffed for the size of the hotel. Check in and check out take hours. And if your in need of any help you my as well forget about it because no one is there to help you or if they do once again you wait hours. They call it the entertainer resort and there is some entertainment but just like every other hotel there sure wasn’t something going on at all times like I was sold on.They don’t help with luggage and first impressions they don’t make you feel very welcome. Grand Oasis Riviera: Perfect for families

Every staff person was wonderfully friendly and hard-working. Our room was spotless and the grounds were exceedingly well kept. The buffet restaurants and others all offered an abundance of delicious Mexican and alternative food. We found the beach a little tough on the feet (traveling with an infant) so we spent most of our swimming time at the pools, which have many activities and great infrastructure for children.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great time in Cancun

Resort is getting older, but they are keeping up on all maintenance. Staff were awesome, but there were a few minor language problems. Not all staff were as fully trained as required, but they still did there best to be helpful. Food was good. Some restaurants would run out of more popular menu items. I will definitely stay there again on my next vacation to Cancun.

The Sens Cancun: Amazing resort!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Oasis Palm. The location at the water was beautiful, the grounds kept beautiful and clean. We especially enjoyed the restaurants with the special people that served and worked hard to please everyone.

Grand Oasis Cancun: GREAT RESORT

THE SERVICE, THE GROUNDS ,THE FOOD ,WAS TOP OF THE HILL,THE ONLY THING THAT WAS DISSAPPOINTING WHEN THE SPRING BREAK GROUP GOT SO DRUNK THEY WERE OUT OF CONTROL. THERE WAS A LOT OF STAFF FOR CLEANING ON FOOD SEARVIICE AND THE GROUNGS WERE LOVLEY. I WOULD GO BACK BUT NOT AT SPRING BREAK TIME.
