Ok, location..

I hate to say it but this was one of the worst holiday we have had, not sure we want to return to Cuba after this experience. This was our first time there and we heard the food was bad..but this was TERRIBLE....cold, salty.. Uncooked. Low water pressure, so taking a good shower was next to impossible after being out in the heat all day (weather was terribly hot)..could not get a good mojito if my life depends on it. . What was good..the people..they kind and helpful

A Great Resort

The ambiance is very good. We really liked our unit. The staff was fantastic. Breezes should make an effort to facilitate the "Hop-on-hop-off" to pick up its clients closer to the entrance. It is a very challenging walk on a hot day. A lot of your clientele are seniors who are unable to manage this even though they may want to see the city. The food was very monotonous at first but then appeared to have changed. I did find the menu overly repetitive. Will visit again.

The hotel was overall very good!

The grounds were kept well and clean inside and out. The food was satisfactory...plenty of food at all times. The service and waiters were always polite and helpful...very attentive. The pool was beautiful and of course the beach was spectacular!! Clean!! There were lots of daily activities...Cuba day..etc. We met a lot of wonderful people. oUR room was kept clean. The only downfall was that we DID NOT HAVE HOT WATER IN THE ROOM. We did complain at the front desk and she said she wou [... read more]ld send a technician but didn't follow through. We were there only 3 nights so we didn't persue too much to complain again. On our second last day the manager wanted to change our room but we said it's ok we are leaving tomorrow. She (Elizabeth) was kind enough to let us stay until 6:00pm before our departure.

Absolutely beautiful resort!!

The gardens were exquisite! The beach was beyond amazing! A very clean resort with so many fun options included. Food was fantastic! And the staff was super friendly and accommodating!!! Will absolutely go again!!

Excellent resort

First of all the staff was very helpful and friendly, food was good the rooms are very clean. The resort amenities are excellent, beach is fabulous and the access to it is very convenient only less than 5 min walk.

Beautiful Resort and Amazing Value!

My fiancee and I loved this resort as it had everything we needed. Nice, large cold room with a view of the grounds, buffet that offered different choices every meal, beautiful grounds and great service. The main attraction is the beach and ocean and we spent almost every waking minute there. It is breathtaking. The beach is well taken care of and there are many lounges and covered beds to choose from. The water is spectacular. The pool is ok, I only jumped in it once quickly because who needs a [... read more] pool with an ocean like that. We don't drink alcohol but there were plenty of non alcoholic drinks and the coffee is amazing. The bread, fruit, fish and seafood is incredible. Just don't things that aren't native to cuba (like beef) as it has to be imported and sits on a boat for a long time. Other than that the food is great. No problem with service, if you are nice and friendly and not obnoxious than the staff will be too! The cubans are wonderful people. I like this resort because it was pretty quiet, not a lot of partying, just people relaxing and enjoying their vacation. We had a wonderful time, a week was too short, and I will definitely be returning. Thanks Breezes!

Good Resort- Quaint

The grounds were kept really nice, the staff are welcoming. The food was probably the best I have had in Cuba. We could always find something to eat. The pool was great and the beach was nice. We would return

Relaxing

Having been to Cuba numerous times, I decided to take my 21 year old son with me in order to rest, relax and have fun. It was nice that he could stay in his own room as there was no single supplement. We were put into an older wing of the resort that was under renovation but were quickly moved to two nicer rooms. Food was okay but there were many birds flying in and out of the buffet restaurant. Reception staff were pleasant at times. Housekeeping and bar staff were great!

Fair 4 day getaway

Liked the hotel, food was satisfactory. Nice staff. Sunwing not so great. Delayed our trip by 10 hours going there, so we lost one day out of four then delayed us by 2 hours on the way back. Its a little tough to work the next day when you airline gets you home at 5am. Never impressed with sunwing.

Best resort ever!!

For Cuba the hotel is amazing!! Unforgettable experience!! Staff supper friendly and always there to help!! So many amenities and , most speak englis , rooms are clean and lits of space for storage. Beaches are paradise!!

Good food, friendly staff, beautiful beach.

Breezes Varadero is a beautiful resort. The grounds are well kept and have a lot of green spaces and walking paths. The buildings are varied and decorated nicely. We really enjoyed the food at the buffet and the al la carte restaurants. There was always a variety of food to choose from. The beach was a favourite spot to hang out and play in the surf. Great Vacation Spot

Loved everything about this resort. Beach and grounds were amazing. Buffet was good as were the a la cartes. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lots of palapas for shade on the beach. Pool was large with lots of loungers available.

Excellent vacation

Grounds were well kept, staff was friendly, public washrooms clean and well kept. Although the staff spoke many languages English did not seem to be one of them. The only other slightly negative aspect was it was impossible to get more than a couple CUC $1 coins it was as if they were forcing you to tip a $3 bill which is approx. $5 Canadian a bit much for me.

Nice Resort

Grounds were beautiful. Beaches amazing. Food was good. Rooms were clean but a little dated. Only issue with trip was that the resort over booked and we had to spend 3 days at Bella Costa. Bella Costa was NOT a comparable resort - it was dirty.

Beautiful Resort with great service and food!!!

I totally enjoyed my stay at the Breezes Varadero. The rooms were clean, neat and tidy. The air conditioner worked great and kept the room very cool. The food was awesome. I had heard stories about the food in Cuba but here was salt and pepper on every table and there were different bottles of hot sauces and spiced olive oils for you to use. The Italian restaurant was amazing. Our wine glasses never emptied and the antipasto bar was to die for. It was one of the most beautiful beaches I had ever [... read more] seen. The grounds were very well kept and the pool was always clean. Shows were good and the nightly music in the lobby as well as the late night sandwiches were very good. I am a foodie and was not disappointed. I would not recommend the building with the disco if you are an early to bed person. It rocked until 1pm. Overall a very good vacation at this resort.

Great times!!

Some would consider a bump to a different hotel a disadvantage but we spent our first 2 nights at Hotel Bella Costa next door then moved to Breezes Varadero so we got to experience both hotels! Bella Costa was perfect, beautiful, more entertainment, best outdoor pizza oven but Breezes Varadero, even though not ocean view (and quieter) was beautiful in it's own way... lush gardens, friendly staff, nicely shaded Jacuzzi bar with awesome pina colados!! Overall pretty good for Cuba and Breezes

The only thing I did not like was we got bumped out and shipped next door for 3 days to the little dump Bella Costa. They overbooked their rooms....how does that happen?? There were 30 rooms approximately affected. Was not happy and is the only reason I would hesitate to rebook there.

Awesome

Your vacation is what you make it. Superclub Breezes Varadero is like having a huge back yard. Relax or make it exciting!. I've never had a problem doing both at this resort. Swimming, dancing, socializing, relaxing, etc. Varadero is a stone's throw away and Havana a comfortable 2 hour drive. I rented a car and ventured to Havana ... I loved every minute of the freedom and the breathtaking views!

Horrible food

There was bad smell in the food serving area. Unsufficient water pressure, at times no water at all. Not enough chairs on the beach, no shades. There were flies and ants on the uncovered fruits in the serving area. Not enough staff in the dinning area to attend to everyone.

Amazing stay at the breezes

We stayed at the breezes from April 6 to the 13th. The staff at this resort was amazing they were always there to help. The grounds were always kept clean. The rooms were big and always clean with fresh towels everyday and a large bottle of water was in your room everyday. We are planning to go back next April to see all are new friends that we met
