Iberostar Enesnachos

Lovely resort, more shade required by the adult pool area (we never stayed there as it was too open ) beautiful foliage and greenery,good staff, clean well kept rooms. good dining & drinks, killer beaches (the towel thing was crazy) I needed to be down at the beach by 6:30 to get a shady palapa, the major down side for us is the distance for walking... it is too large and spread out for us to consider returning to.

Great Vacation

We have travelled to Cuba many times and several areas. This is the first time we can say the food was excellent. The staff are fantastic. Rooms are very spacious and always clean. The grounds are beautiful even with still recovering from the hurricane last year. We would definitely consider returning to this resort.

Beautiful resort

we just returned from a 1 week trip. The hotel is well laid out. Park side is geared for families. We stayed on the spa side. The room was beautiful,we had a king size bed,mini fridge,exceptionally clean bathroom with separate shower and a bathtub as well as a separate washroom.a large balcony with patio furniture. With varied choices of fresh fish and meats as well as salads cheeses etc We ate at 3 of the a la cartes. There were a range of food choices to suit everyones tastes and of excellent quality and flavour There was nightly entertainment of musicians in the lobby at 7pm as well as a nightly show at 930 pm Would return in a heartbeat

Wonderful beaches

Iberostar Ensenachos is a great 4 1/2 star resort. Lovely grounds, two fabulous beaches. Lots of palapas, reasonable food, good entertainment every night in the lobby. It’s a bit of a long bus ride from the airport, and to most excursions. One drawback is that the rooms don’t have ocean views. Otherwise, it’s a great resort, very family friendly, but with an adult section as well.

Best vacation every

My wife and I have been to many resorts; Florida, Turks and Caicos, St. Maarten, Costa Rica and St. Lucia and Iberostar Ensenachos was by far the very best. On March 27-April 6th we spent ten wonderful days with our family; our oldest daughter Nadia, our youngest daughter Kaitlin and her husband Christopher and their two young children Nathaniel four and Ava ten months. We stayed in the family section which is right beside the children's water park. The beach in our opinion was better then the beach at Grace Bay Turks and Caicos. The serving staff Yaima, Armando and Mariankis and the host of the Cuban restaurant could not have been more helpful. Thanks to the entire staff from the reception desk, servers, cooks, grounds keepers, maids, shuttle drivers etc. The staff is what makes this resort so special; a special thanks to Yohnny and Nestor for all their assistance. I would certainly return and would suggest this is a ten star not a five star resort.

Awesome Vacation

Went to this resort March 22-29..been there before at the grand village section which i prefer..we had a good time the entertainment was good the beach was awesome and they built a lot of new palapas on the beach for cover which was good.Sunwing was good the staff was very good my only complaint the need to make sure the bus to take you to the resort has a bathroom on board on our way back there was none and people had to go outside on the road . The room was ok but they need to add better lig [... read more]hting in the bathrooms and paint and a new mattress. We were in block 2100 which is a good spot to be. The food was ok the l"carts were amazing but there food pattern at the buffet needs to be address example not have sweets next to vegetables people but in to take something also food could be hotter. Also the staff work had and are very friendly and helpful which was awesome. The beach speaks for itself it is amazing and awesome snorkeling there .

Had a great time!!

They even had nachos! Beaches were beautiful with a couple hundred meters of fine white sands and turquoise blue water. Food was much better than expected. Room was large, clean, separate show and tub. Water was hot when needed with good pressure. Staff was nice, with mostly great service. Would recommend.

Great Resort

Service was exceptional..Everyone worked very hard to ensure you had a great vacation.. loved the room...spacious and clean with a large patio.. Plenty of hot water and towels...Beach towels were in your room upon arrival..grounds are well kept and beautiful . The gardeners have done an amazing job re planting and cleaning up after the hurricane...WiFi in lobby was only one peso for an hour..did not need adapter for charging my devices..

Wonderful solo getaway!

Travelling alone to Cuba and the Iberostar Ensenachos was a great experience. The hotel is set up well allowing for me to choose the adults only (spa) section. My room was really comfortable (mattress not as good as my own at home but I wasn’t expecting that) and the bathroom’s amenities and layout was perfect. The pools are good. It the Olaya Ensenachos and the water truly cannot be beaten. One of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I travel a lot. I really appreciated the woman in the dining room who always greeted me with a smile, a table and asked about my day. With little other conversation during my week she was heaven sent! The gardens and walkways are lovely and I felt safe at all times and hours. The food was good, Cubans do their very best with limited resources and I never went hungry. The bank, shops, shows and internet were all good enough - I truly was there for the beach and the sunshine and the rest and Iberostar Ensenachos delivered, 100%! P.S. the morning yoga classes were perfect!!!

Fabulous beaches for small kids

Friendly and responsive staff as usual in Cuba. Lobby alive with music and dancing at night, but there's not as much music or entertainment as Varadero resorts. Lobster, fresh fish and prawns best choices for food; a serious lack of green vegetables. A little less selection and more quality would improve buffet, but it is an all--inclusive and the beach is the real draw. Pirata restaurant a good one. Note that if you book into kids' side even if you don't have kids you aren't allowed into the ba [... read more]r, pools etc on adult/spa side. Ensenachos and Megano beach are both beautiful white sand, crystal clear water, calm and shallow so small kids can play without much supervision. Lots of palapas and bar service, plus activities - salsa lessons etc. Take a dip, feel the fish swimming around your feet and sip a mojito in the shade of a palapa.

Fantastic time!

The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. The food was plentiful and delicious . The staff were simply amazing. Friendly and extremely helpful. And the resort grounds and beach were breathtaking. We will definitely be making a return visit!

Top-notch

The accommodations were very good. When we moved rooms and the second room had issues with the sink faucet and the toilet, it was quickly attended to by the staff and the issue corrected. The dining/food was very good keeping in mind that you are in Cuba, not Toronto or New York City. The staff were gracious, helpful and always provided service with a smile.

Great resort!!!

We enjoyed everything this resort had to offer and would recommend it to anyone...the rooms were spotless, the food was good and varied, and the sevice was exceptional!!! The beaches were unbelievable and will absolutely return to Cuba!!

An excellent resort

very clean and lush garden in the hotel area.Food in buffe was impressive and a lot to choose.Room was clean avreeday.Most impressive was the beach we really enjoy swimming and walk along the beach.We are looking forword for next winter on holliday to iberostar hotel

The best resort in Cuba!

Everything is perfect! Beaches are beautifull. The best kitchen in Cuba. Staff very friendly. When arrive to long wait for room up to 6 pm. Quite place. The best place to relax. Ocean water very clean. Beaches white and very clean. Swimming pools very clean and warm.

Iberostar ensanachos

I have been to cuba over 15 times and without a doubt this is the best resort there. the rooms are great, food is best in cuba, and of course the staff are always friendly and courteous. This was the second time at this resort and won't be the last.

Beautiful scenery

This hotel is very nice. We were put in the Spa section although we booked the Park section. I don't think rooms are any different. The buildings all looked the same. You are limited to the use of the snack bars and pools in the Park if that's your wristband but if your Spa you can use both Park and Spa areas. The Grand Village is a km or more down the path, you can only use those facilities if your band is for that section but they have access to everywhere. The lobby is situated between the Sp [... read more]a and Park sections and is the gathering place for the evening events, buffet, Italian and Japanese a la cares, cigar bar and lobby bar, gift shop. Lots of walking on this resort which is a good way to work off the excesses. If you have young children, it could be too much. The beaches are most beautiful which is usual for Cuba. Two beaches separated by a rocky point. Megano beach was closest to Park and Spa areas and is very long, Ensenachos beach is long and quieter. Doesn't fill up nearly as quickly. We spent time at both but favoured Ensenachos. The food variety was somewhat limited for such a big resort but you will not go hungry. Always fresh grilled meats and fish, pastas, eggs and pancakes. Side dishes not so plentiful. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our long walks. Only used the carts twice in the week we were there. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Holiday!!

Had an amazing time at Iberostar Encenachos. Reception staff,maids wait staff were all amazing! Some of the warmest people I have ever encountered. Sunwing rep so very helpful and informative.Easy and simple dealing with Trip Central also. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that there was no outlets in the bathroom for a curling iron. But I would return in an instant. An all around great visit to Cuba!!

More than we expected

Excellent sea food, snorkelling, entertainment and such a friendly staff. Both beaches were within easy walking distance with well stocked bars and lunch food. Getting through Santa Clara airport is stressful with so many entering but do not buy the Sunwing VIP pass as they overbook this and it becomes a slower process with a waiting room that is overcrowded. Don’t try to exchange your money at the hotel right away as there are long lines, we waited a day and went right through. Excellent value for money!

People are amazing without any questions they are always there to help you. The service everywhere is perfect. Beach was the nicest I have ever seen. The lobby was a fun place to be in the evenings. The food is fairly good. The grounds are well maintained with lots of beautiful flowering plants.
