The Club Barbados Resort: Nice resort

Liked that it was small. The food was good which I am glad given there were only 2 restaurants. Had very little daytime activities. Some days they posted activities and it never happened. The overall service I would rate 3 out of 10. Management staff are polite and friendly. The bar and waitress staff were unfriendly, darn right rude on a couple of occasions.

Almond Beach Resort: Nice Holiday - Almost Great - Issue with food

We are very avid travellers. We like to try a new place each year. We have been to Antigua, St Lucia, Turks and Caicos, Aruba etc. This year we decided on Barbados. Our flight to Barbados was with Air Canada Rouge. Large plane but very crowded. Please be aware to download their app prior to liftoff as it will be a long flight. They work very hard to ensure that you have a great holiday. There are some that we found didn't like their jobs but this could be attributed to the fact that they will lose their job next year due to a Sandals takeover. But to be fare, most were very pleasant. Service was unbelievable, they always went an extra mile to help you. The down part of the holiday was the food. For some unknown reason, the first part of the week (Tues - Fri) the food was below average. Chicken, pork and fish way overcooked and very dry. Leaving hamburgers in a liquid to stay warm and moist didn't seem to appetizing and there was no taste. I think cooking them fresh on the grill would be much better, especially for lunch Then it's like a cloud was lifted or the cook was fired (Fri-Tue) because the food started to come out cooked to perfection. The taste of the chicken, pork and fish was good. So in a nutshell, if the food was like the end of the week, I don't think there would be any complaint. I know many of us were complaining at the start. Bars were not too busy and did provided excellent beverages. The bottled beer every second day was a bonus. Only small complaint about bars is, to have multiple bartenders between 4:30 and 6:00. Many people coming from the beach had to wait for their drinks. I also think the Reef bar should be the main bar for entertainment. It's outside, near the ocean and has the best ambience. Beach: It's nice and lots of shade. Very good for all people. Snorkelers and swimmers. Beach Towels: You can change them between 5-6pm every day. Never had any issues with this. Rooms: They provide shelter, they're clean and do the job. We are not on holidays to sit in a room. Only complaint, lack of sheets. We had to request an additional one which wasn't a problem Entertainment: It's live but very outdated. Would be nice to hear more recent tunes. Not too many people stuck around to listen. Again, I would push entertainment to Reef bar as it should be the main bar. Lunch time entertainment: A bonus. Very nice to hear during lunch Excursions: A nice addition, not long and very entertaining. All people were happy with them. All in all, we did like the resort. The food was disappointing but is happens. We met some very nice people and had a great time. Too bad it's going to close but at least we can say, we were there. Due to Sandal huge price tag, we won't be back.

Barbados Beach Club: very nice resort

The hotel is a old resort, but very well kept. The hotel and the grounds are kept spotless. They are forever cleaning.. The staff are all very friendly and can't do enough for you. For the two weeks that we were there we only had only a couple of buffets. The rest were all alacarts. Very good and tasty food and very well presented. One draback is that they dont have any canadian rye if that is what you like to drink. We had a beautiful view of the carribean and the pool. Stayed in #411Woud I reccomend this resort . Most certain. Nice sandy beach but the waves were a little rough at times. Sandals Barbados: Disappointed with construction!

The food at Sandals, Barbados was very good. The room was okay but not as grand as I expected or was led to believe by the advertising. The noise level was high with an ocean view room which, unfortunately overlooked the pool. My main disappointment was the construction noise! I was not informed at any time prior to booking by Tripcentral that there was ongoing construction. There was constant hammering and drilling all day, for seven days. Had I known prior I would not have booked my vacation at Sandals, Barbados. I think it is very unfair of Tripcentral not to inform me of this ahead of time. Not sure I will book through Tripcentral again.

Barbados Beach Club: Fantastic resort

The Barbados Beach Club is a great little resort. We ate at both the buffet and at the second floor Reef View restaurant and the food was always delicious and varied. We had a beautiful ocean view room which was kept spotless. The staff is great and they always have a smile and go out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The pool was cleaned and the water tested every morning. The resort is in a great location, not too far from the airport and within walking distance to St. Lawrence Gap. Turtle Beach Barbados a Tribute Port: Lovely time at Turtle Beach Resort in Barbados

The hotel is so close to the airport, only a 15 minute drive away! Really nice. Very fast check-in and our room (a 1 bedroom ocean view suite) was gorgeous and comfortable. Great food! We ate mostly at Asiagos (a la carte) and food was exceptionally good. Staff were, on the whole, very friendly and courteous. Some had attitude, not sure why. Beach was the best we've ever seen! White/pink sand. Waters a little rough but still nice to swim in.

Sandals Barbados: Perfect Trip

We have just returned from a one week stay at Sandals Barbados. We were there to get married and I must say that this was a perfect vacation. The resort is only a short 15 minute drive from the airport. Shuttle was clean and driver very professional. We were treated like royalty when we arrived. Lots of options for dining. The only place we needed reservations was at Butch's which is a chop house with perfect steaks. We ate at all but one on the restaurants which was our own doing. Lots of top shelf liquors at all the bars. The staff are amazing they are truly proud of their island and also for working for such a great company. Many of the staff we spoke to were very passionate about their job and making people feeling relaxed and enjoying the resort. We went to the resort to get married and planned a beach wedding. Deidre who was our wedding planner was simply amazing. She looked after everything. Shout out to her as well as Patricia. There are so many people that made our stay so special. Kimberli at the swim up and beach bar. We will never forget your smiles and conversations. Paul at Snapshots who took our wedding photos. You worked magic my friend. Big Paul who provided white glove service to not only us but the other 5 couples who were married on the same day. Akeem and Nicholas at the Calypso bar and Alex from Snapshots and also Shernelle who was a ball of fire. I actually spoke to the Resort Manager Patrick and told him how impressed we were with the staff. All the restaurants we ate at were amazing. Top notch all the way from service to the food and presentation. The grounds were immaculate. They work very hard to keep the resort pristine and it really shows. This was the cleanest and best kept resort we have ever been to. This was our first trip to Sandals and certainly will not be the last. Yes there is construction going on next door for the new Sandals Grand Barbados and it did not bother us at all. Our room was centrally located which made it easy to get to all the services and restaurants. The beach is amazing with powdery sand. The resort has half moon cabanas on the beach which provides shade if you need it. Lots of lounge chairs and the resort was full and there were loungers to spare. Would we return to Sandals Barbados? Yes without a doubt. We were very happy with our choice of resorts. To those considering going, you will not disappointed.

Accra Beach Hotel and Spa: Beautiful Resort

Excellent location, perfect beach, wonderful staff, great food. I love this location because it is surrounded by very good restaurants, all within walking distance and the food is very good. Transportation is right at your door should you choose to use it, and taxis are right next door also. There is a boardwalk which you can use for walking or running, and it is safe. Staff is very accommodating, friendly and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Time Out Hotel Barbados: Fantastic Location

We had an amazing time at Time Out Hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the resort was clean and safe. While it was a bit dated it was centrally located right in the heart of The St. Lawrence Gap. It was our first time to Barbados but won't be our last. It was also our first time to the Caribbean and not staying at an all inclusive. This allowed us to try a variety of different restaurants and not be tied to one resort all week! The Rockley by Ocean Hotels: Fantastic location

We recently (April) stayed at the S.B. hotel on the south coast of Barbados. The hotel is ideally situated across the road from a public beach where you can rent beach chairs with umbrellas, get a snack or do some light shopping. The hotel will give you two beach chair vouchers but they guard these vouchers like gold! We paid for three adults to stay at the hotel but the manager absolutely REFUSED to give us three chair vouchers. She stated it was hotel policy but it is typically the manager [... read more] who creates the hotel policy so her excuse was weak at best. Anyway a beautiful hotel, great location, good food and we loved the boardwalk by the sea just across the road. Troy at the front desk was always friendly and helpful. Bus service is right out front for only $2.00 Barbados you can go to the airport, Oistins or Bridgetown for cheap. There are two grocery stores within a 10 minute walk with Massey's offering a shuttle service back to your hotel if you want to really stock up. We would stay here again without hesitation. PS...Good wifi as well.

Starfish Discovery Bay: Great place to rest

While we read some reviews that were not too encouraging about Discovery Bay we took the risk and wanted to check ourselves how things are there. And we have to confess that we did the right thing. It is true that this resort does not cater to any customer, but if you are focused mainly on recharging your batteries and forget about outside world for a while, this is an excellent place to come. Although fifty years old hotel, rooms have first of all an above the average space and have the basic a [... read more]menities for the daily needs, with a large balcony on top of it. Being all inclusive is a big advantage and will meet your expectations if you are not a fan of 4 of 5 stars modern hotels. Fresh food daily with lots of fruit and vegetables of high quality and meat lovers have a choice mainly between fish and chicken dishes with a distinct flavor of Bajan cuisine. Good quality beer, white and red wine and a large variety of spirits of which the Barbados rum tops the list. An attractive pool with plenty of loungers around the pool and in the garden, also available on the adjacent beach. Regarding the staff, all in all they are doing their best to please you, including the bar attendants whose service was questioned by some bloggers. We did not have a single occasion to complain about anything, so do not be deceived by their serious, introvert demeanor, this is how they behave and I assume that was part of their training by management.

Barbados Beach Club: Great resort

We had a great time at the resort, the food was great,the people very friendly, the beach although not huge was sooooo nice. The pool is on the small side but that's ok cause it was hardly ever used so you could in no problem. The thing I found lacking was activities at the resort. Turtle Beach Barbados a Tribute Port: Great Resort!!

We stayed at Turtle Beach Resort during the 2017 March Break. My wife is a teacher, so we have to take this time off and pay the premium. We were very satisfied with the resort as a whole: restaurants, staff, food, room, etc. The waves at this end of the island (south end) are bigger than up the west coast of the island, and there was a red flag on a couple days (which we ignored and went swimming anyway!!). We decided to travel to Crystal Cove (one of the sister resorts part of Elegant ch [... read more]ain) for the day. It is ranked lower than Turtle, and we actually did notice a reduction in food quality in the facility in general. In the end, we were happy to have chosen Turtle Beach. The resort is located nearby to St. Lawrence Gap which is a touristy street with shops and restaurants along it. Apparently the night life was also recommended, but we didn't try it. We did walk along the street a few times, and made a couple purchases.

The Club Barbados Resort: Fantastic resort!

Had an amazing vacation. The hotel is in a wonderful location. We stayed in an Oceanview loft that was fabulous. Food was excellent. Staff was amazing and made you feel right at home. Sunsets were all you could ever wish for. Fabulous island to visit. Highly recommended!

Barbados Beach Club: Highend 3 star Resort

4 of us just came back from a 7 day very relaxing stay at this 7 storeys small all inclusive hotel. This is what we liked: Very good food - good choice of menu and drinks at the la carte restaurant with extremely good service and big portions - very clean rooms and hotels - good size poolside bar with slushy drinks - plenty of chairs and tables everywhere - efficient elevators - Fabulous beach with lots of space to sunbathe or sleep under good quality umbrellas - warm ocean with good waves- s [... read more]oft sand allover- 20 minutes walk on the beach - staff are friendly (most) - good poolside live bands and dj mostly every evening - 10 minute walk to main road to catch buses. Older crowd but some young couples with kids here and there. Already recommended this hotel to friends.

Almond Beach Resort: Laid back life

This is a relaxing resort full of friendly and helpful staff. The staff can come across as rude, but I think that is a cultural difference. The rooms were clean with no mosquitoes getting into the rooms. The resort has down-sized from their original size. Hopefully, this resort will stay open. They have had a history of opening and closing. Enid's restaurant is by far the best restaurant on the resort. The decor is great. The food is delicious. The bartenders can become overwhelmed [... read more] at certain times of the day. This is a resort for a quiet stay. The night-life is very quiet. The night time entertainment was only good on 2 nights of the week. The resort is far from Bridgetown and the night-life.

Accra Beach Hotel and Spa: Excellent stay

My husband and myself thought this was the perfect location to stay. Not far from the airport, and lots in the area. Groceries, restaurants, beaches, bars, entertainment. Basically had it all. The resort itself is great, very helpful, and even upgraded us to a suite in honor of my husband's 50th. It's things like that you appreciate and make you recommend and return. Bougainvillea Beach Resort: Good value for your money.

This is our second time staying at Bougainvillea Beach Resort. The staff is very helpful, polite and friendly. They would go out of their way to help if they can. The grounds are well kept. The room is very comfortable and the cleaning staff do a very good job. My only recommendation would be that the kitchen staff not fry most of the items on the buffet breakfast. Otherwise, everything was very good. Location is ideal and within walking distance to Oistins and St. Lawrence Gap.

Bougainvillea Beach Resort: Great Resort

Very well maintained and clean throughout! Lovely gardens, nice restaurants and beautiful beach. Booked a studio and was upgraded to a suite on the 4th floor. Beautiful view overlooking the Caribbean Sea! Breakfast buffet was excellent and is a definite must if you are planning a stay. We took advantage of the kitchenette, purchasing food at the local grocery store and fresh fish at the market just a 20 minute walk to town. Area is very safe and locals are friendly.
