Club Amigo Mayanabo: Club Amigo Mayanabo Hotel Cuba

Hotel is very lovely has all activities , pleasant , lively, music, bars, very friendly staff, Cdn Entertainment Manager, Night shows daily, you pay $15 CUC, per beach towel as a deposit in case you lose, so a family of 3 would have to deposit $70 Cdn which you get back in CUCs and you have to spend there as they are not worth anything , like Cdn Tire money. The beach is nice , very quiet, has security guard near entrance at beach that watches your belonging all the time, Cuba is very safe no th [... read more]efts, even when you walk from one hotel to the other at night, controlled 24 - 7 , not like other countries where robberies occur. The rooms are old and musty but you only there to sleep, comfortable but sub standard. Rooms are cleaned ever day by staff and nicely stocked with new towels daily. Over all it is a good hotel for your buck and you can use the Brisas Hotel which is only walking distance 15 mins away down the beach. Food is plenty and always fresh. Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner is very nice and snack bar with Pizza and Ham sandwich is open 24 7 all night long. Open bar .

Brisas Santa Lucia: We'd go again!

This was our first time staying at Brisas Santa Lucia and our first time in Cuba. We loved the grounds, especially the beach. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was underwhelming - adequate but that's it. We had a lovely little deck but they couldn't provide deck chairs. While everything was included, they provided us with just 3 bottles of water. When we requested more, they refused. We even tried to trade in the free booze in our room but they would not provide us with bottled w [... read more]ater! The food was a huge disappointment. While we did have a couple of delicious meals, they were in restaurants that required a reservation or a special event. Overall, we had a wonderful time but we have a list of items that we'll bring the next time we head to Brisas!!

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Amazing Resort

The entertainment was fantastic, the food was great, the resort was very clean and all staff were very helpful. I definitely will take my next trip to Cuba to this resort. The games around the pool each day and the entertainment staff were absolutely fantastic especially Lachi, Julio, Pluto and Bonbon.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Love this place!!

The beach & pool area were beautiful. The entertainment staff & dancers were amazing. The food was good, always had something we liked on the buffet, even for my picky kids! Our room was decent & clean. Was a fantastic trip & we hope to visit Gran Club again!!!

Brisas Santa Lucia: Beautiful vacation!

Apart from the accommodations, which are in need of an update/renovation, everything else was beautiful...we had an amazing time. I have to acknowledge also the entertainment team and also the Rancho King excursion (the tour guide Vicente is very professional and totally amazing person). Will be back!

Gran Club Santa Lucia: used to be much better

new management still need work to do, lost a lot of customers due to poor service. not enough food at the the buffet, no change of variety of food beach very dirty full of sea weed. always running out of drinks at the bar.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: It worths your dollars

The animation crew are wonderful and hotel staff are very polite and quite professional, first class. The only thing that bothers me is mosquito bite that makes me scratch all day and the cops bothering the locals

in my openion its excellent place we enjoyed our stay. we already recommend this place they even wants to come back , we have the same tropical food, we cant complaint well come if the price is right.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Good Time

This was my third time to this area in Cuba, each time staying at a different hotel. Overall this is my favourite. This hotel had the friendliest staff, good food, grounds well kept, amazing white sand beach. Fresh coconut every day. Stayed in Junior suite which was very large, room was clean, big balcony. Good value for money spent. If you just want to relax and enjoy the beach and sun, this is the place to go.

Brisas Santa Lucia: A great kitesurfing vacation

This was my first time in Cuba. I was there mainly to kitesurf and the conditions we wonderful. A beautiful sandy beach, nice flat, clear water and steady wind. The hotel was nice especially considering the price. My room was clean and well maintained. The food was also pretty good, lots of variety. The flight and transport to the hotel also went perfectly smoothly.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Definite 3 star

Being to Cuba 8 times, went with friends that had already booked here, so went along for ride. This is no more then a 3 star hotel. Food is increasingly getting better every time we go to Cuba, no complaints there. I know its not expensive and where can you go for so little, but if you can afford a couple hundred more go to a 4 star. Beach has potential to be beautiful just was not raked the whole week we were there, so dried up seaweed everywhere. We enjoy going to local establishments off resort to mingle, have never seen so many at hotel, and we did not find them that friendly, language barrier possible problem. Will not be returning to this hotel, heading back to Guadalavac

Gran Club Santa Lucia: great resort

Food was good, grounds clean and staff helpful. Diving was great the dive shop is next door a shot walk down the beach. Beautiful beach with white sand. Meals were taken in an enclosed room with air. Very nice resort I would go back.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Inconsistency!

Food better than expected , service good from some but bad from others, rooms are adequate and simple, many events were not as promised, seemed to be an issue amongst employees , renovations ongoing but much work needed in general.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Awesome entertainment staff!!

The grounds need a bit of sprucing up BUT that can all be overlooked! The staff especially the entertainment staff were amazing, very approachable, fun, and engaging! This is our third trip to Cuba so we knew to lower our expectations regarding food; we were very surprised with the buffet- for Cuba standards it was pretty good and varied-I would only recommend they add a salad bar. My only complaint is with the sunwing; according to their website And onsite rep; guests can beach bar hop with the other resorts in the area-when I witnessed someone attempting to do that they were refused service because they were not at the Gran Club. After I mentioned that the onsite sunwing rep had advised everyone of this upon arrival they checked with management and refused them service! The other sunwing rep issue was the outright lying with respects to the delayed flight; she kept telling us we were wrong that it was the original schedule even when we showed her our tickets stating otherwise! Extremely disappointing and frustrating especially for those with medical issues. Overall the trip was great and I would return but with a different provider.

Hotel Caracol: Beautiful beach

The hotel is not that bad but not that good either.The food not so good. The time we went they were always running out of food.Cannot seem to get hot water in the restaurant the water is tepid.Not enough servers . We have to help ourselves.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Best Staff

The food is excellent for Cuba and generally is it a "great bang for the buck". No major problems and the staff was absolutely lovely. The water has some weeds about 2 feet out for a couple of feet so bring water shoes then it has a lovely white sand floor. The beach is gorgeous.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Lovely trip to Grand Club!!!

We travelled as a family of five: two adults and three children. The transfer to the hotel was a little bit long for the kids but at the same time interesting as we could watch the real cuban life from our bus. We were pleasantly surprised when arrived to the hotel and even more when we entered our junior suite. Gran Club Santa Lucia: Great value for what you pay

The resort is great for someone not looking for extras. It is clean and the staff is friendly --- not much to do in the area. It is a bargain for someone looking to take a vacation without the big expense.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Fun times

The hotel was what you paid for. Most of the staff was very nice except the front reception. They were rude! The food was okay. The rooms were good. We had a great time do to the other families we met at the resort.

Resort is very nice for a 3 star resort! Beach needs alot of TLC. Don't go for the beach ... You'll be vey disapointed! Staff is very nice and friendly. Something about the Pina colada there.... Don't ask for one after 3 pm.... Seems they run out! Buffet is very boring! Same thing everyday but food is ok! Wendy, waitress at the buffet will give you a special treatment!
