Hotel Plaza: Location, location, location

This was our second time at the Hotel Plaza. We stayed there for its 100th anniversary in 2009. Since then, the main lobby area was beautifully renovated but not upstairs. Our room was OK; it was definitely clean and comfortable. I would suggest to bring your own hair dryer; there was none. Breakfast was served on the top floor with amazing views of the area. Food was OK, nothing exciting, but adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a lot of construction in Habana Vieja, this [... read more] old part of the city. Running shoes are recommended. I would also suggest for you to check performances at the Grande Teatro; they are worth every penny, and the theater is absolutely gorgeous.

Marazul Hotel: Pretty good for a 2 star resort.

This hotel was nice and open and close to the beach. Only one hotel key per room is a little inconvenient. There were some plumbing issues (out of water in the toilet in the a.m.), then last day moved to another room because of some leaking water. All in all staff very friendly and helpful. Daily shuttle into Havana is a plus. The beds in our room were very comfortable but on the last day in the other room not as good. Met my expectations in general.

Marazul Hotel: Not the Ritz Carlton, but everything was great!

For the price, you cannot beat this place. Nothing was lacking, I had a great time, beach was great, pool was clean, room basic, but very clean. I even paid 50% more in St-Lucia and got to sleep in a hell-hole. Bravo to the staff at the Tropicoco for everything.

Iberostar Selection Parque Central: Lovely hotel in a terrific location

This is a lovely hotel and the location is outstanding for anyone who wants to wander the streets of Havana Vieja and Havana Central. It's similar in comfort and amenities to nicer Canadian hotels. The staff is friendly and happy to help. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a city hotel. Our second choice was the Nacional and I'm happy we chose Parque Central instead - the location is so much better for anyone who prefers to walk.

Marazul Hotel: Good security, nothing else special.

No body speaks any English, makes it very difficult to get any info. Not a clean place at all. When comes to food there are not to many choices, but you wont starve. Can't be demanding when you go to 2 star resort. I have to say that the people that work there are very nice in general.

Marazul Hotel: pretty awesome

my first time in cuba thanks to tripcentral. the room was pretty clean and certainly acceptable. food was decent enough all though they need to label some of the dishes a little better as some days they did and others not. also, being a vegetarian had to be comprised a bit as for some reason those very good bean and rice dishes had little pieces of meat. the shuttle from the airport was delayed in leaving which was not good and was even worse heading back to the airport. we were told 330 am pic [... read more]kup and it arrived 415. all in all I was quite happy and would go back.

Blau Arenal Habana Beach: Fair resort

We were there from Oct. 31 - Nov. 6/16 and wanted to stay in an all inclusive close to Havana. As this resort is more remote and off the beaten path than most, it catered more so to the Italian and Brazilian guests, meaning, their English was limited, but they did try their best to keep us informed of daily activities and so on. The room was one of the bonus's, it was the first time that we didn't have the usual damp, musty smell when you entered, it was very clean and fresh smelling (my husband [... read more] gets a reaction anytime there is mold present and he was totally fine). The food was what you would expect in Cuba, but it was acceptable and I think that since we were there off season, the selections were limited.The beach was not very nice, it had broken glass in the sand, a pair of shoes is a MUST. We really didn't partake in the nightly entertainment except on Sunday when they had opera singers and they were amazing! Bug repellent and after bite a MUST! We got chewed up by the no-see-ems (or whatever they're called).

Comodoro: Nightmare

This was seriously the worst resort we have ever stayed at. It was so bad we have left after first night. Rooms are dirty, bathroom was not only outdated but also there was no running water in the bathtub just in the sink. Made was cleaning the room with cigarettes in her mouth. On top of that breakfast buffet was horrible, all food looked old, there was no plates, old bread etc. Italian restaurant food was tasty till I found hair in my food. On top of that no one speaks English or they do jus [... read more]t choose to play dumb and they look at you like they don't know what is that you need. Overall please but please save your money and do not stay there... it was just horrible.

Comodoro: Amazing staff, great stay

We enjoyed a 7-day all-inclusive stay at the Comodoro in late October and splurged for the Bungalow by the pool -- well worth it! Food was surprisingly good, surpassing my low expectations from previous stays at other locations. Weather was hot and sunny with little rain. The pool was well-maintained and refreshing to take a swim in, but it was the kind and attentive resort staff that made this stay a fantastic trip. Hotel Deauville: For what you pay, it is fine

The location is great and no issues with breakfast and room service. We spoke to the staff in Spanish and have new clean towels, bed sheet no problem. For the price we pay, I think by Cuban standard, I find it o.k. except there is only one elevator working for so many floors is unsafe. The pillows can be improved on as they are so thin we had to fold up the blanket to get some height. I would return to the same hotel and ask for the rooms away from the male on due to traffic and noise. Melia Habana: Clean, quiet hotel

Well equipped quiet rooms. Beautiful grounds overlook the ocean. Good choice of restaurants in the hotel. Currency exchange at the check in counter. Clean pool and area. In a business area so lack of restaurants and shops.

Hotel Plaza: Our home in Habana

I love this place. The building is beautiful and grand. It is at the centre of all our favorite haunts. Yes there might be a few aggravations, a but nothing to get upset about. Breakfast on the top floor with a view of the city is my inspiration to get up early. and the buffet has everything I want. We have stayed here many times and the employees treat us so well we feel totally at home here. If you put out a little effort to interact with the staff your vacation will be greatly enriched

Villa Bacuranao: For a simple resort, I got all I needed--I love being in the ocean.safest beach on that coast..because it is a Bay...

all was fine--the pool was under reconstruction(didn't need as I like the beach) but when renovated, pool will be safer and still amazing--for the amount paid, full value---nice area for strolls, I love Cuban style food...rice, gravy, pork, fried and BBQed meats, the staff GAVE me a gift --don't know why, I was always so mean to them...kidding...hugs and kisses from even some of the male staff, overall , couldn't ask for more

Marazul Hotel: Worst resort EVER!!

I have been to over 10 all inclusive resorts. This one by far is the worst of them all. Actually it's not even an all inclusive in my books. Many days, they ran out of breakfast, lunch and/or dinner items. The beer was soo watered down and they had no selection of cocktails. For 5 days I asked for a Mojito and was told that there is no mint. BTW there is only 1 bar and 1 restaurant at the resort. There are cats walking around everywhere including inside the dinning area. Please avoid at all cos [... read more]ts. I made the mistake of going there but would not even let my enemy stay there.

Hotel Paseo Habana: peaceful resort

Dans l'ouest de la cité de la Havane à Cuba cette petite hotel. permet de nous reposer sans trop se demander si le ciel va nous tomber sur la tête. Le personnel ont été très accueillant et le service etait très acceptable. tout est en fonction mais ici on parle d'un hotel assez vieux mais tres bien entretenu. il est très facil de trouver les transport et cette hotel est au centre des activités cubaines. facile de trouver des resto et autres. Bien 7 sur 10

Iberostar Selection Parque Central: Charming hotel

It was my first time in Havana, (not in Cuba) . The Hotel is a true 5 star rating big rooms , excelent variety of drinks and food at the lobby bar. Transport by taxi are just in front hotel you just have to cross street. The service was good always with a smile. I will book again! Thank you Tripcentral

Club Acuario: bring extra slippers just for your bathroom !

rooms needed serious renovating bathrooms were awful.. hover over toilet and never touch the floor with bare feet ensure you have bug spray for your room.. you will be bit during the night public bathrooms were even worse food was eeeeew.. i ate at the snack bar exclusively.. only ham and cheese.. but better than the buffet!!! pool was nice.. staff was great the only all inclusive in Habana.. well free ham and cheeses and free booze. Marazul Hotel: Good Value

All amenities were in working order, clean and roomy. Convenient access to the beach and private. Transportation to and from Havana was good. Communication was sketchy with the front desk. Did not expect 5 star food, but there were days that it was very poor. The most needy was a toaster that made TOAST. Overall I think it was good value for what I paid.

Iberostar Selection Parque Central: Nice hotel in fantastic location

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. The AC does not work evenly throughout the hotel. The med. restaurant just off the lobby is too hot to sit for dinner and we advised for them to get a large fan. We did not enjoy the food in the med restaurant except for the breakfast. The best place for us in the hotel was on the top floor in the snack bar-restaurant (Miraban). The air conditioning works well there and the food is very good. Nice presentation too. One of the highlights was the Tues. dinner with  [... read more]the national symphony (again upstairs in the Miraban) again excellent food. For us to be able to eat good food, have a view of Havana, the cool temp. and very friendly staff in the Miraban made our stay much more pleasant. Hotel Paseo Habana: In the Centre of the Action in Verdado

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. I loved the ambience, the common areas were wonderful and the staff was generally very pleasant and helpful. It is situated in Verdado within walking distance of the Malecon and the National Cemetery. You can purchase internet cards across the street and sit out on the patio and enjoy a drink while planning your day. The breakfast is substantial and there is a little bit of everything available. All in all I would return to this hotel in a minute if I were to return to Havana.
