Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Worst place ever

⭐ Absolutely the Worst Resort Experience – Not Even 0 Stars Our stay at Cofresi Palm Beach Resort (Jan 20–27, Booking #149939083) was extremely unsafe and unacceptable. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place, especially seniors. Major issues we faced: • Too many stairs and no senior‑friendly pathways • No hot water for the entire stay • Room phone didn’t work • Toilet wouldn’t flush unless we poured water manually • Iron was broken • Door key failed every single day • Staf [... read more]f and Sunwing representative offered no help Serious incidents: • My husband got food poisoning, collapsed, and suffered a head injury that required hospitalization • I slipped in the dining area due to a wet floor, lost my toenail, and bruised my entire left side The only positive was the resort doctor, who was excellent. This resort is unsafe, poorly maintained, and completely unprofessional. I will never return, and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Resort poor

We really didn’t have a good experience. Room was leaking water from air conditioning. No hot water for three days. Towels and bedsheets are very shabby. Worst was so many steps to take from beach to lobby,dinning area. Not relaxed at all.

I don’t recommend this resort at all. There is no nothing working. No hot water.air conditioning not working. Phone was not working. Pool was very dirty. Very hazardous place for walking. Bed sheets were not clean.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Relaxing, pleasant and comfortable

Casa Marina is an older resort but it is well maintained. It caters to an older crowd but there are activities daily. The food was great and the 3 ala carte were tasty options. The beach is small with some waves to make it fun and the water is amazingly clear. I'm going back!

Lifestyle Residence Suites: Great resort

Great hotel attached to Cofresi and Tropical resorts. You should expect to spend all of your time at those resorts as there is only 2 small pools and a buffet (breakfast and lunch only) at residence suites. Tropical has an excellent VIP beach that you have access to and thats where you can get all the drink choices, espresso, cabanas and sushi that you can't get anywhere else (all included). The beach itself is on a platform with sand as I think the tide can come up pretty high at times. Overall great food (although no ice cream at buffets), great room, great facility. I would recommend to others for sure!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing resort

Great room, right on ocean, amazing view. Room was a bit outdated but clean. Housekeeper was amazing. Food really good, lots of choices. Pool and beachfront really nice. Overall a really nice resort and would highly recommend

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Never got to see it

We had our flights cancelled by west jet because of plane issues and made us not make connection. There were no other flights for a week. West jet cancelled our flights telling us to contact tripcentral for refund. They did not refund us on hotels and we were unable to get refunded or stay in the hotels. Still fighting WestJet for refund. Tough when everything is online and told to submit it online. Only giving the one star because we never got to go see it. It won’t let me it put any

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Ok resort

Excellent staff, nice grounds. Nice beach.Adult pool had kids daily.Pool bar very small and no stools. Room. Fridge needed replaced. Safe needed a technician to fix it. Bathroom overall below average. No lip on shower door. No hand towels. To get hot water you needed to turn on all taps for about 5 to 10 minutes and then slightly warm.Room doors very heavy and extremely loud when being shut. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Iberostar Puerto Plata

This hotel is not a modern unit. But I will say that the management does the best they can do in maintaining its integrity. For the most part the people that work here are very friendly and accommodating. The only problem that I can say I had which is normal almost everywhere that doesn’t have English as a first language is communication. Caroline helped us when our flight got cancelled to return to our rooms she even brought three other ladies from Burlington in because their hotel left them on their own. When you run into people like this who do more than your tour rep to help you. You have to say THANKS DEAR GIRL. I do recommend this place to young and young at heart. The food is great the grounds are beautiful hotel staff can’t be more helpful. There are plenty of activities if you choose to do them. Or there are plenty of lawn chairs if you do not. I never heard a anyone speaking bad about the hotel in the one week last year and two weeks this year and I’ll be back.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Repeat Customers Abound

This was our 3rd time back at this resort - and we typically have never gone back to a twice because we love to explore different places. Why go back 3 times? We met many others coming back 5 -10 - 15 times! WOW! Why? This is not a 5 star resort - not a large resort (compared to others) - limited childrens activities - so why come back? Well, we are retired and just want a place of "Rest & Relaxation" as we wait for winter to pass in Canada. There are a lot of Canadians there. (maybe even 70% :) [... read more] The food is decent - the beach is very nice - the place is older but kept up well - the rooms are ok - the price for 2 weeks inclusive with flight was only $2200. It will be hard to beat this value for money. The only issue we had this time was that the hotel ignored our 4 emails to request a room on 3rd floor in the Catalina building. (This was due to mobility issues of some of our party of 4) We were left standing in the lobby for 1 hour while they did who knows what. The rooms were actually available - and they finally left us have them. No one there (including management) could really tell us why 4 seniors after traveling all day were left with no room for 1 hour) This left a bit of a sour taste in our mouth!

Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata: Absolutely amazing

This resort is absolutely awesome. Rooms were very clean and done everyday. Food was beyond amazing and the staff were so wonderful. Absolutely loved and definitely will be our January trip next year. Only thing we didn't like were the very pushy people trying to sell you time shares. Beyond it's annoying and would follow you to the beach. We had to be rude after many attempts to get rid of them

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Good holiday destination

The hotel was very good. Good food, service and location. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Good variety of restaurants. The area near hotel was safe and great for walking. one area for improvement would be the gym equipment.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: good value

had fun, group of 9 total. been before and will go back next year. well looked after grounds, and rooms clean, bath tubs needed reglazing. loved hearing the surf from our room, long walks along beach, and buffet was very good most days, two week stay . Thank you Nicole from tripcentral.ca

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Fantastic

We are already discussing our trip next year back. Our group of 15 adults thoroughly enjoyed the pools, our rooms, lounges and the food was exceptionally good. The beachfront was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful when needed

Beautiful resort. Small so everything was in a nice walking distance. Staff is so friendly and very accommodating. It is a family resort but really not much for little ones to do...I didn't have any children with me but I did notice that. Weather was awesome, beach is stunning, everything is so clean and well kept and the food was delicious! Very nice place and I plan to return.

Playabachata Hotel: Very nice resort

Very clean, staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was the same every day and decent but after a couple of days it felt like eating left overs. One pool but never felt too crowded and was clean. No swim up bar, that’s a good thing to me. No one parked there for the day peeing in the pool! It was a great vacation and I would go back again.

Just Got back was there January 6 -20th. I have no complaints Room was big and clean Grounds well taken care of Staff great,very friendly Beach was great,could always get a chair Food was GOOD Been traveling for 15 years,never seen so many people at a resort Very popular place when we were there

The hotel was nice, clean, good food, beautiful beaches, attentive staff, excellent entertainment staff. Too many smokers that were allowed to smoke in the non smoking sections. I would return to this resort

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Absolutely amazing ?

Love casa marina beach and reef resort. Staff are friendly,food was amazing and always something to do if we wanted. Love being able to walk into town. Are group of ten loved it. That says allot for a group.
