Isla Natura Beach: Fun week

Quiet and relaxing hotel type resort. Room size was ample and maid service did a good job but didn't always abide by our 'do not disturb' sign. Wi-Fi in the rooms was minimal at best which ended up being good and bad. Minimal English at front desk so any requests beyond the basics was difficult. Some variety on the food throughout the week but it was all quite tasty. There were a few kayaks to take out but had to stay relatively close to shore and. The beach was relaxing and without too many peo [... read more]ple, not sure if resort was at lower capacity or poolside was preferred but most days wasn't too difficult to get a beach chair. Swimming was difficult with nearby shallow corral and consistent wave action throughout the week. Shuttle from hotel to beach/restaurant was frequent and driver was friendly. We ended up walking most of the time anyways. Nothing really of night life, place got quite dead by 11 and bars closed at midnight. So if it's a quiet time you're seeking than this will suit you. Staff were friendly and bar tenders accommodating especially after a tip. They offered multiple excursions on site and cabs were always on hand and super cheap. All in all we enjoyed the place and would return.

Dreams Huatulco: average resort

The resort is dated and needs some serious cosmetic work such as fixing the loose tiles in the hall way floors, peeling plaster, mold smell in my room, the beds are hard and you are given bricks for pillows, old sandpaper towels, paint the resort walls and ceilings, The staff was wonderful but the time share people are a pain in the ass and ruin the vacation with constant nagging to sit in a 90 minute session. The bar tenders were very inconsistent with the mixed drinks. More variety and  [... read more]change of food choices would be nice. All in all I would not recommend this resort.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great resort

Food-fresh,awesome pastry,buffet not boring and same every day,soup of day great.snack bar in pool area good. Room service good Stairs give you nice exercise beach not busy,lots of palapas. snorkeling out of shore good for beginners

6th visit to this resort. Returned again with friends that we met at Las Brisas Huatulco in 2018. A welcome gift awaited our arrival. Truly a great location with with private beaches.Truly safe to swim and a great value for your money. The hotel was great the staff were pleasant We had six people in our group We brought two new people with us As my partner sent her sister and friend in Dec 2018 and the his next door neighbor just got back everyone had a great time we will be back next year .

Las Brisas Huatulco: A great week!

This resort was beautiful and just what we were looking for. The beaches were amazing. We had a great week and would consider going back. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were always well-taken-care-of.

Holiday Inn Huatulco: Wonderful small resort right on the Marina

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn, Santa Cruz, Huatulco, Mexico last week. The staff from check-in day until the last day were so hospitable, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was a problem. The hotel is Extremely clean, well laid out, and the pool was gorgeous. This is a small resort and you get to know your fellow travellers. The food was mediocre but great for the price we paid for the vacation We had no complaints.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Las Brasis

Barcelo Huatulco: Fantastic!

I can't say enough good about this resort, and that might be why this is our 3rd stay here. The updated rooms are wonderful, the food always has many variations and the chefs are obviously talented. We will be back as time permits.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great time was had by all!

Although this is an older resort it’s well kept and clean. Service and staff were great! Usually don’t rate or consider food comments as it’s personal preference, to my taste food was great! The best part had to be the beach and ocean, lovely, warm and decent snorkeling. Would recommend this place, if you’re able to do lots of stairs.

Secrets Huatulco: Wonderful all inclusive holiday!

Upon arrival my room was ready. The showers at this resort are outstanding with large rainshower heads. Beds were comfortable and rooms were modern and very clean. Exceptional ocean views throughout the hotel. The pools were clean and everything appeared to be maintained. Staff were friendly and smiling. The french restaurant was exceptional and we went there twice. The japanese restaurant (Spice) was amazing. One guy from our party caught a mahi mahi and the japanese restaurant cooked it [... read more] three different ways to allow us to have a group dinner featuring our 'catch of the day'. We enjoyed every day at the pool and only ventured to the beach the first day and early in the morning before the sand was too hot to walk on. The bay was rough most days with a red flag out. There is a small portion where it is protected from the rocks and snorkelers were often there. The bars offered an abundance of drinks and the Barefoot grill offered great lunch options. There are no complaints about this resort of the staff and I would recommend this resort wholeheartedly.

Las Brisas Huatulco: amazing grounds; awesome food and a great work out!!

This resort was amazing! The service was outstanding! It was clean and the rooms decorated beautifully. The air conditioning worked (Thank Goodness as very warm!) and the food (especially at the buffet) was great every day! Be prepared for a work out however as there are no elevators and the stairs to climb are not for the faint of heart. Dreams Huatulco: Huatulco

The hotel was nice but had a few big drawbacks. There was only one tennis court and it shared the same space as basketball court. I was only open from 7 - 10 am bc it was located above the spa. This was very limiting for our family of 5. We would like to play tennis st same time as boys played basketball ( not possible) plus you needed to reserve the court the night before and often it was already booked. I definitely would warn people of this very frustrating facility limitation. Also the [... read more] restaurants were often closed ( only 3 choices and 1 being the buffet). Finally there is no swim up bar which was very disappointing. Great location though - awesome beach and nice big pools located right near beach which was a big plus.

Secrets Huatulco: Interesting resort

This was our first time in Huatulco and our first time at a Secrets resort. It was recommended to us as an amazing resort. In fact, we spoke to many people at the resort who were repeat guests, some even as many as 6 times. While the resort is quite beautiful in many ways, we were somewhat disappointed in several areas. First, the positive. The service, overall, was amazing. The check-in procedure was very efficient and service in the restaurants, at the bars, and both poolside and beach drink s [... read more]ervice was very pleasant. Room service was impeccable! The room was clean and spacious. The food, while not the vast variety of choices we have experienced at other resorts, was always very tasty. It was some of the best tasting food we have had at a resort. There were lots of umbrellas and chairs around the pool and the grass covered shade structures and chairs on the beach were plentiful. The grounds are well maintained by a cheerful group of gardeners. However, there were a few things that affected our enjoyment of the week completely. First, there are visible signs, from the lobby through to our room, of neglect or shoddy repairs. The lobby is underwhelming and the fountain at the entrance isn't operating. The pools are in need of refurbishing, there is mold under the swim-up bar, and the waterfall between levels is just a series of pools. The elevator in our building (3) was hot and dirty. The stairwell next to the elevator was dark. The motion sensor lights only come on when you reach the top of the stairs. In our room, the sliding wall between the bed and the jacuzzi tub is warped and the mirror is water damaged. Pretty sure someone is having second thoughts about that idea. And the stairs between the two pool levels are downright dangerous! Finally, Castaways restaurant was our worst food experience of the week. Breakfast was extremely slow and supper was slow and the only meal I did not enjoy. I had the steak and shrimp skewers and could only eat the shrimp. I asked for not potatoes and so I got 2 skewers and that's it. Not even a few limp vegetables. The cooks in the Market Grill sure don't work up at Castaways. Also, this was the only time the service was so poor that we actually got angry. Will we go back? To be fair, we don't tend to repeat visit as there are so many places we have yet to go, however, considering the extra money we paid for this resort package, we will definitely not be returning.

Las Brisas Huatulco: A little bit of Canada in Mexico

Las Brisas is a smallish all-inclusive hotel where many Canadians seem to vacation. A great home away from home! This gem of a resort has a good variety of restaurants. Rooms are spacious and clean. A variety of beaches and water sports are available You can also snorkel at the resort when the tide is high as the reef is quite shallow. Staff are friendly too:)

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: Great Trip

We stayed at the Park Royal for two weeks in February and enjoyed every minute of our holiday. The weather was hot and sunny everyday. They always have a red flag at the beach, (although the other hotels don’t) but we swam in the ocean almost everyday. It is easier to get in the water a little further down the beach. Both pools were nice and clean and we never had difficulty finding chairs with shade. The food was good at the buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner), but we often ate at the a la [... read more] carte restaurant because it was so nice there. The main courses at dinner there were poor, which was disappointing because the service and atmosphere were fantastic. The service everywhere at the hotel was top notch! We have never stayed at any hotel, anywhere in the world that was this clean! The place is spotless. The staff are hardworking and friendly. We will definitely return.

Isla Natura Beach: Relaxing vacation with incredible views

This hotel was a wonderful escape. Unbelievable views and a quiet atmosphere. I travelled from Canada to stay here and was surprised as there were only about 10 (in total) english speaking customers at the resort. The majority of customers are from Mexico city - enjoying the ocean for a few days. Many of the staff members know very limited english. I took this as an adventure and learned a bit of spanish! Ocean views are incredible however this part of the ocean was difficult to swim in - v [... read more]ery rocky and wavy. View from infinity pool was great. Food, service we were happy with. I would recommend this hotel for friends who are looking for a quiet escape. If you are wanting lots of action, shows etc....this is not the place for you.

Binniguenda Huatulco: Great little resort!!!

The resort is well situated. Would recommend- although the beach club across the street could use an update, the food that is offered at the beach club is very basic however there is so many options to try local food by the beach so it did not matter to us. The hotel grounds are lovely as well as the staff- Food for breakfast and dinner buffet was good. We did the French A La Carte (1 per week) it was OK- not great. The guests were 90% Mexican- no issues-wonderful people- will definitely go b [... read more]ack. The only real complaint is the upgrade being offered at the hotel. In my opinion not worth the money for what is being offered. But everything else was better than expected!

Villablanca Huatulco: Excellent location

Hotel was very quiet (except on live music nights) clean and the breakfast buffet excellent. Staff was pleasant. Small and cozy hotel. Location can't be beat! Beach just across the street and town about 10 minute walk.

Secrets Huatulco: Amazing Resort

The whole resort was spotless, the staff were super friendly, the food was fabulous. We would definitely go back again. The views were spectacular, especially from castaways restaurant where we could often see whales jumping out in the ocean. There was also great snorkeling right in the bay.
