Grand Palladium Jamaica: Horrible Experience

I have been to Jamaica about 12 times. It is truly my favourite place. I have even stayed at the Lady Hamilton resort beside the Grand Palladium. To say this trip was a disappointment is an understatement. The room was not correct and the staff at the front desk were upset it needed to be changed. We were told to be at our room at 4 pm the following day to switch rooms and no one showed up. We called the front and we were hung up on 5 times. We went to the front desk at 8 pm and were told we we [... read more]re not in our room on time. We were finally switched. No towels and no blanket for the beds. We waited hours to get a blanket the first night and we had to do the same once we were moved. Our room never had the floors cleaned our beds were only made twice. We asked for towels daily and only got fresh towels twice. Our fridge was only stocked with water twice. We were told they were out of beer the first day. We were ignored at the pool bar multiple times. Staff was extremely rude. Our bus for the excursion never showed up and when we asked our rep she said it was a systems error. Our luggage was missed on our way home and we had to point out yet another error. No welcome drinks. Ignored at the front desk. We felt like an inconvenience. The staff at the restaurants were amazing but everywhere else was very disappointing. We felt ignored and we felt we were an inconvenience. I will never go back to the grand palladium. We waited a long time to travel and we spent a lot of money for an extreme disappointment.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Grand Palladium Bavaro

Overall grounds, restaurants and pool were very nice. Disappointed that most of the staff did not speak or understand English. Was difficult to converse with them. Staff at buffet were miserable. Did not smile. They definitely do not enjoy there jobs.

Ground was good, Room service and quality was bad our room was not done one day Food service was very poor There were not enough staff to do the job We have been to most of the islands in the In the past 30 years and this was our second visit to Jamaica I have have word as a physician in Trinidad & Tobago in the 90’s

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Beautiful grounds!

Grounds very nice and well maintained. Evening entertainment - very poor Rooms clean - but no blankets or comforters!!!!!???? Why? It wasn't only in my room... Very poorly decorated too. Food good, tasty, quite a variety. Alcohol and drinks - just fair. Very disappointing. Service - super unorganized and slow! Staff - rather not nice and not smiling than sympathetic. Looks like this resort was poorly managed in many aspects. Not like other Grand Palladium I've been.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Beautiful resort with one issue

Everything was perfect. Service above average for the most part. Grounds, rooms,scenery, pool, spa, various a la carte restaurants were all more than adequate until we saw a cockroach on the buffet food area on the fifth day. For that reason can’t recommend. Unfortunate because it was so nice. We don’t travel much. Don’t forget your stomach remedies-maybe Dukoral before you leave.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort

We have been to this resort many times. The resort never disappoints us. The room was spacious. The bathroom was an issue with the tub/shower being so deep that it was very difficult to get into and the shower glass did not enclose the tub so there was water everywhere.

Grand Palladium Palace: Review

It was good but kids hubbies was less than my expectation for example water park or kids club Also inside transportation in resort was very limited SPA was expensive WiFi was limited in some areas overall good

TRS Coral: Full value property

The hotel, staff and experience were all as promised and top-notch. We had an incredibly relaxing time with lots to do (or not do) as we chose. The restaurants were excellent, the service impeccable. I especially appreciated the access to the Rafa Nadal tennis complex.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Resort showing its cracks

Feeling like this resort is suffering from Covid cutbacks. The resort is nicely spread over a lot of area, with nice amenities available and a variety of restaurants and buffet to choose from. The beach was lovely. The resort only has three floors with 2-4 buildings and all open hallways. In the middle of the resort is a small and shocking 'zoo'. Time to do away with this. It was really appalling conditions. Rooms: Our first room - an oceanfront room- had an amazing view, but overlooked the ' [... read more]quiet pool'. This was the adult pool with the bar and thumping bass music until 12 am every night. Even with the doors closed and headphones / TV on, you could still hear the music for the entertainment of the 5 or so guests. The first room was also not thoroughly cleaned with traces of mold on the shower door. We changed our room the next day to another with less view but much quieter ( of course no discount was offered to change from an ocean front). The front desk attitude was not very accomodating - they couldn't see why I didn't want the noise disturbing us until 'only 12". The second room was much cleaner, and quieter. Food: Not a fan of buffets, esp. during Covid. YOu have to use their app or line up everyday at 9:30 am to book a restaurant if you didn't just want to walk into the buffet. The food at the buffet ranged from fine to good. Very clean and strict protocols in place for food handling safety. We tried most of the other restaurants and they were all good portions, fresh and good, although sometimes not overly hot. A highlight was the Mexican restaurant with a lovely patio overlooking the ocean. A server came tableside to create custom guacamole which was fun. Not all wines listed by the glass were available. One night on the way to dinner my son slipped and hurt his foot. So we had to return to our room to stay in and order room service as he couldn't walk. There is a $15 per person delivery fee for this. Incredible. Lunch was either the buffett a walk away from the beach and pool or there was a disappointing BBQ beachside that offered burgers and hotdogs daily, and a few times nacho chips and ceviche. So no variety, no added extras like fresh fruit, or a change in menu. A real lack of opportunity to improve the food offerings. No snacks provided beachside or at the pool - only the bar. Drinks- there was a real lack of healthy options. If you wanted a 'smoothie' it was the highly sweetened drink mix offered blended. Given the amazing amount of fresh fruit at the buffet - it would be nice if they could offer a better selection of healthier drinks, esp. since the resort is really marketed to families vs. singles. Beach - There was a real lack of loungers on the beach. Plenty of room for more - and of course there was no monitoring of those who tagged chairs with towels at 8 am not showing up until 11 am - so with limited chairs and many broken - it was very frustrating. There were some boogie boards, kayaks, and a catamaran, but they could offer some scheduled kayak outings etc. There were daily activities including some yoga, and pool fitness classes that were well attended, and nightly shows for the kids and adults. Staff; Very mixed. Some were lovely- the concierges and the bar staff, but front desk staff - not so much. The attitude I received when I complained about the noise was not understandable at all, and there was clearly free rooms as the resort was only 60%. Overall I would rate the resort closer to 3.5 stars. There is plenty of room for improvement and the grounds and rooms were relatively clean and not too out of date. It is clearly showing its age and perhaps need for more investment. Clearly Covid has had an understandable impact on them and i hope they recover soon and are able to put a little bit more back into the resort to have it really meet its potential.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Its been better but still a great place!

We stayed March 9 - 16 , 2022. My 14 yo son and I. Negatives were that my room key kept having to be reprogrammed (6 times!), the buffet and restaurant selection was a bit bigger in previous times ( this was my 3rd stay in 14 years). Oddly, the bacon in the breakfast buffet was super super salty, so much that I thought it was a tactic so they wouldn't go through so much. Positives far outweigh the negatives, its a beautiful resort , very friend staff, high quality theatres at night (big shout [... read more] out to Michael Jackson show and Lossana!!), great beach, ice cold beer and great service! The resort is just the right size, not too big and not too small, far enough out of town but not too far, I'll be back for sure.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Absolutely beautiful & Immaculately clean resort.

My husband & some other family really wanted to take a trip to Mexico despite Covid still lingering around. We have been to different resorts in Mexico before- all have been fairly good. I decided to book at the Grand Palladium seeing it had fairly good reviews & it came at a moderate price for us as a group. I have absolutely no regrets. It is a beautiful resort. I love that it is spread out and there are many spaces to explore. I enjoyed visiting the animals that they have at the resort. One t [... read more]hing that really stuck out to me was how immaculate the resort is. Wow! Super clean!! Staff were always in attendance doing everything they can to make our vacation a wonderful experience.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Air Canada Rep dropped the ball

Hotel was good but Air Canada rep never showed for meeting. No books on pick up time for return trip due to Covid. QR codes need to be created to inform travellers of pick up times. I would suggest that the handout we receive on the bus on the way to the hotel also include pick up time and location for the the return trip. It should also note when the rep will be at the hotel during our stay.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Wonderful resort

I absolutely loved this resort from start to finish. It was very clean everywhere. The people are very friendly and very attentive to your needs. The room was lovely and I don't think there would have been a bad view from anywhere. The food was outstanding. They had every kind of fruit you could want. Their buffet was always fresh and had an enormous amount of never ending selection and variety. They catered well to children by way of their food selection and the pool activities with all the sl [... read more]ides and fun stuff there. The beach was lovely but you will need a pair of water shoes to enter in the ocean. There is sand beyond but you have to get past the coral, which is hard on your feet. The pools on the resort were huge. There were also two adult only pools which I loved. There was soft serene music playing in the background too. They all have their own bar as well. The drinks were phenomenal. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. I will go back for sure and stay longer this time. I loved it there!!!

TRS Coral: very nice resort

Great beach (very long and wide with no venders) , fabulous rooms, amazing food including beach/pool snacks, incredible large well equipped gym, unbelievable spa and very good service. That said, it didn't have much of a Mexican cultural feel but more of a Las Vegas style feel.

TRS Turquesa: Great resort, unfortunate hard sell

Everything was great from the weather, to the suite, to the butler service. The problem lies with the ambushing of guests at check in for the rewards program. A waste of time that was never even resolved by an offer. It is a scar on an otherwise fantastic vacation. This should be told to customers when they inquire about the resort. I would recommend with the caveat.

Hotel Design: 9 out of 10 Food: 1 out of 10 Rooms: 5 out of 10 Staff: 7 out of 10 Pool: 9 out of 10 Beach: 9 out of 10 In summary - it's a nice resort however food is not good. You shouldn't pay more then 1250 per person

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Palladium Colonial Cancun

Beach area was awesome....main pool was really nice...rooms were just fine (ask for second or third floor for more privacy)..gym was really well equipped...food and selection was really good...service was just fine ..will be going back again which is the best review. One area of improvement is the transportation from the airport was a milk run with multiple stops..so a 1 hour transit became a 2 plus hour transit. Recommend this be a non stop trip.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Time of our Lives.....

We have recently returned from the Grand Palladium Kantenah and it was a wonderful experience. We spent 11 days and it was amazing. My man proposed to me on the beach and I could not think of a more romantic proposal. We can not wait to return however here are a few things I would recommend: The Romance villa suite with ocean view was not in prestine condition... H [... read more]owever it was quickly attended to once we made the call. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous and covid protocols were in place. Very professional and prompt service made for one of the best vacations I have ever had.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Good other than the food

Went with a group of 5 friends and all 5 of us got food poisoning. The food was disgusting and at times not edible. Other than the food the resort was pretty good nothing spectacular. It was clean plenty of pools, bars and things to do. Service was pretty good but hard to come by someone who could speak English.

TRS Turquesa: Much needed Vacation

Unfortunately, while we made the best of our vacation we were somewhat disappointed. Our room was nice, although I didn't really like the open concept idea and not having a dresser or at least some drawers. The food was okay, lots of different restaurants to choose from along with the buffets, however, food was served lukewarm, not always as ordered, and in most cases took along time. Service in restaurants was slow, and the language barrier sometimes very difficult. The entertainment guys  [... read more]were great, very friendly and not pushy, we looked forward to seeing them everyday. Karina was lovely always had a table for us ready, even before we were in the buffet, she could she us walking up or in line. Our server in the Steak House, not Kiki but something like that, was great! We were a little concerned with people walking around in the buffet without wearing masks either properly or at all. We are in the midst of a pandemic! I would also, say if someone is saving a seat at the pool or at the beach, it should be monitored and if they haven't shown up to use it after a couple of hours it should be made available to others. Very inconsiderate to save a chair for 8 hours and not use it at all during that time. Pool had quite a bit of algae around some of the corners.
