JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Some call it a second home

If you are a beach lover it may disappoint primarily due to the Sargassum seaweed which has plagued the Mexican and Caribbean shores this year. The hotel works diligently daily to remove the weed to make the beach as pristine as they can However the service, facilities and food are excellent with three pools, access to an onsite gym and a new gym facility in the complex. Iberostar Origin Tainos: Great family vacation

We had a great vacation at Iberostar Tainos. The beach is perfect for children. The ocean is truly unbelievable here. I don’t usually care for food in Cuba, but the food here was really good. The hotel stuff are very friendly and accommodating. The only negative I have to say is that the hotel is dated and needs some updating.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Nice family resort of the right size

Rooms were fine and clean and staff kind and helpful. The beach was lovely and readily accessible. One of the big restaurants was closed having been damaged by a recent hurricane leaving the buffet overcrowded at times with long lineups to get food prepared on the spot. This was a turn off for some of us. I wouldn’t recommend it until the other is open again. Otherwise the food was fine for Cuba.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Not worth the money.

Pools - 3 of them, one of which has a pool bar. They are good and clean. Decent amount of space for everyone and good service at all of them. The issue I had with them was the depth. 1.10m is the deepest they ever go. I just can’t enjoy pool swimming like that. Staff About 70% of them were nice and friendly. The rest were rather unapproachable, unwilling to help and sometimes downright rude. Seriously, at a 4.5 star, I expect exemplary service and smiles from EVERYONE. Restaurants/Food  [... read more] Now I really enjoyed the food in Cuba my first time there (at a different resort). This one had rather bland food. Very amateur and unseasoned food. But well, it was eatable and there were much worst things than food. The restaurants for example. First of all it took HOURS to get reservations at the restos. No kidding, we had to stand in line, while ONE FREAKING WOMAN, with a computer took 15-20mins per person/groups. And she was miserable, unfriendly, and slow. Now the restos themselves, require you to have a reservation to get in, which makes sense if they were full. But there were 5 empty tables beside us and I asked; even if half the place was empty, they would not have let us in if we didn’t have a dumbass reservation. Amenities Alright, now the juicy stuff. This place claims to be a 4.5 sometimes 5 star Resort. MY F#$&*&G A$$! The bathrooms stalls had no lock on them, the eating areas had very uncomfortable chairs and our room was just a total disaster. The safe did not work, the shower head had no hanging nozzle, the balcony door handle was broken, the fan knob was broken and the bed sheets were damp. We requested to change rooms and while the manager told us it was a done deal and to come bAck the next day to confirm the change, we came back and were told we weren’t on the list. So we had to wait another day to change. The next room was fine but with one major problem: the door. The mechanism for cards was broken or something and we could never get in. We always had to go back to reception and call a mechanic to come fix the thing and let us in. And by the way, each time, they were doing some half assed bullshit on the door instead if actually fixing it which is why the fix was temporary and we always had to go back to call them again. Absolutely ridiculous. Beach/bar Excellent. Fantastic sea, sand and sun. Short walk from resort centre. Beach bar was great. Bar tenders around the whole resort were great. This is my first time writing a review because I felt I owed it to other travelers. We paid 2k and this just wasn’t worth it. In no way is this a 4.5 star let alone 5. And don’t give me any bs about it being cuba and their rating being lower than anywhere else. If that’s the case, 1, dont pretend to be 4.5 stars when you’re no better than a 3. And 2, dont charge people like you’re a luxury resort when the experience you provide feels more like average. There.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing resort. Best in varadero

The hotel is amazing. Clean.best food ever. And i have been to all the resorts in varadero except the new international. It was so good i am going again in 2 weeks with my gf. The staff is so nice. The barman are amazimg. Cleani ng service is superb.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful Resort.........

Beautiful resort but the food was terrible, dirty and unsafe. My girlfriend got food poising. Beaches were very nice and pool was very clean. Rooms left something to be desired but were not bad. Safe had no door, room key often didn't work had to change out 3 times. Atmosphere very nice.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Just okay

FOOD: was okay, but food in buffet was often cold. A la cartes were okay, but Asian was the best. ROOMS: oceanview is a must!!! Rooms kept clean by amazing staff. RESORT: Overall, I would give this resort a 3 or 3 1/2. I have been to other resorts in Cuba that had better food, however, the staff at this resort were amazing! The pool was great and the drinks were very very good.

Hotel Mojito: My home away from home!

The Mojito is a small resort filled with wonderful staff! If you are looking for 5 star accommodations and food - the Mojito is NOT for you! If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere, super friendly and helpful people, clean basic rooms and a variety of tasty basic food....the Iberostar Mojito is for you! Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Excellent staff, would make a return trip

We vacationed to this hotel over the Christmas break. The staff made a very conscious effort to ensure we were taken care of in every aspect. The only issue that we had was during our visit, the weather was a little o the cool side and were disappointed that neither of the he jacuzzi's were in operation.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing resort!

This is the fourth all inclusive resort I have stayed at and by far the best. During our stay in December 2018 we enjoyed the nightly performances, delicious food, walks on the beach, and exceptional service from the staff. We were a large party (~33) with young children and we felt very welcome and accommodated. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice resort with good pool and great beach

The resort is clean ,food is good and great service. The pool is fun with lots of activities and of course the fabulous beach . For a change the food is pretty good. Most of the restaurants are ok and one should try them all. We loved hanging at the beach and bars ,where the service is excellent. The rooms are a bit run down but on request they moved us to a better one

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Enjoyable stay!

The resort was good. The beach great! The food was fine (really liked the Gourmet restaurant). My friends and I enjoyed the nightly entertainment at the disco. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great relaxing vacation.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: WONDERFUL

The hotel was beautiful. Very clean. Food was good service was great. Everyone was very helpful. It was a wonderful experience for me as a senior single woman. I felt completely safe. Beautiful pools and grounds. Beach was pristine always someone there whenever I got to beach to pull my lounge around.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Beautiful resort

Resort very clean, beds are comfy, water pressure is great and always lots of hot water. Staff are very friendly and very helpful, Food was not very good at all. Have been to numerous resorts in Cuba, and the food here was the worst. There was fruit and salad, which was good, but veggies and potatoes were always cold. That being said, we still had a great time

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Simply the best !

I have been to this resort three times and each time I come back.... it gets better ! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is great, the drinks are awesome....full sized and they don't cheap out...and the beach is gorgeous. This really is an "all inclusive" resort....everything that you'd ever want to eat or drink is provided for you and the service is wonderful. Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: OK

The hotel was nice, grounds and pool area always kept clean, everything is very convenient, people and staff are friendly and helpful. I got sick from the food a few times, had no hot water for a few days, other then that, it was OK.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Fantasic stay

Every thing was fantastic. The resort is beautiful and kept very clean in every possible way. Staff is cautious, well mannered and willing to help. Cleaning service did a amazing job of cleaning our room everyday and leaving gifts in our room. Entertainment is very friendly and put their 100%. Staff round the pool and on the beach were serving the guests. Beach was kept very clean. Christmas decoration and gala was outstanding

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Perfect week

Very picturesque setting, friendly, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent and beach was fantastic too. Drinks were ok, not consistent or great in any way. Peacocks and flamingos nice to have on resort. Orchids were lovely throughout the resort. Shows were ok.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Another "Grand" time at the IB Rose Hall

If you want to be pampered and enjoy a 5* experience, this is the place for you. As repeat guests over the years, we continue to be amazed with the service and hospitality shown towards all guests of the resort. A welcome back greeting and a “see you next week” hug when you leave makes you feel safe and right at home your entire stay. A huge shout out to all the staff from Junior (front desk), Keneesha (beach service), Judy/Ofilah (breakfast/lunch buffet hostesses), Duran (butler), Kieno (pool bar), Andre (lobby bar) to Thunder/#Hashtag/Vanessa/Pistachio (star friends), as well as the housekeeping/grounds workers/lifeguards/security personnel and concierge and kitchen staff. Thanks to all of you, we had an amazing holiday with no stress, no worries and no problems. We stayed at the resort leading up to Christmas and enjoyed the elegant decorations throughout the hotel. We also took advantage of the complimentary golf at Cinnamon Hill and White Witch – a great bonus for those who enjoy golf as the courses are beautiful. An afternoon trip to the Rosehall Shopping Centre on the complimentary shuttle was also fun and a great option if there are a few raindrops falling to chase you off the beach. The water was calm and clear; perfect for a sunset snorkel cruise. Pools were a bit cool for my liking at this time of the year but the ocean was perfect for swimming. Our room was kept spotless and any issues were dealt with immediately – the room safe was not working upon our arrival and after a quick call, someone was at our door to replace the battery within 5 minutes. When the safe stopped working a second time, the safe was replaced immediately with many apologies from public relations. Special thanks to O’Neil who assisted in our Trip Central booking and ensured our trip was perfect – we were celebrating my 50th birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary, which were both acknowledged by hotel staff, along with our specific room request. We enjoyed our island time and will definitely be back – Ya Mon, Jamaica is Irie!!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Iberostar Holguin: Great resort in development

1) Grounds are flat with very freshly planted palms trees. You can see all resort from one place. 2) Public areas are great, nice design, soft, pleasant sofas, quiet music, caffe bar, drink bar, smoking area, all perfect! Very nice cigar bar with nice conditioning and selection of cigars. Main theatre is great. Disco-bar with high quality sound and light gears, music is your choice! Just ask DJ! 3) My room was very nice and king-bed was perfect, all new bath very pleasant. Safe, umbrellas, iro [... read more]n. Two bath robes and slippers! Nice balcony to smoke a cigar after long day! WiFi in the room, and all grounds, not only lobby! (you need to buy 1CUC/h card in the lobby). 4) The beach is in development as Dec 24, 2018. Most people go to Pesquero for Aquatic activities, most with kids. The shuttle is provided. But..,it is minus.. For me and my wife who is allergic to sea water it was not an issue!!! We enjoyed pools, very clean and nicely positioned. Great pool bar! A barmen is virtuoso! 5) I very pleased by attention of the management to clients needs, we required special food for my allergic wife and all stuff in food service was on alert, very personally!!
