Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort

It’s was a great place for family, but I paid for a room with two queen bed but got two twin beds and the resort was full so had to sleep on a twins bed with 4 people another than that it was great and friendly place

Riu Bambu: Not a 5 star

This was not a 5 star resort. The rooms were very dirty and old and not what the pictures suggested. The food in the bar (after 9:30pm) was inedible and most likely not safe for consumption. There was not one fresh grill where you could have fresh food except the steak house which required a 2 hour wait to get into. The pools were not well cleaned, and the drinks were bar rail and not brand name which I would expect at a 5 star. The restaurants were misleading and the map and names were not  [... read more]even accurate. Public washrooms were always filled with puke and diarrhea. This was a 3 star at best. Beach was beautiful and well kept.

Riu Palace Antillas: Nice getaway but 3 Star Facility

Overall, we enjoyed our trip to this hotel as some of the staff were exceptional (Freddie), courteous (cleaning lady) and helpful (buffet hostesses). Others were not and did not seem to care if we were there or not. The room we had was dated and the bathroom was very small with signs of wear and tear. Their was high humidity in the room despite the air conditioning and small amounts of mold were visible within the room. When we opened the door, we found a woman sleeping in the bed and a clearly occupied room. After promptly shutting the door and going back to the main desk we were given a key to another room and informed that the owner of the first room would no longer have key card access to their room. How is it possible to give out two keys to the same room? No compensation or acknowledgement of the error was given and it was a complete invasion of privacy which should have never occurred. We were appalled. The food was good but limited seating at the restaurants meant that some nights the buffet was the only choice. The beach was nice and at times the pools were a bit dirty but there was always someone cleaning. Management passed around a questionnaire about the facility during dinner at the buffet, this seemed a bit tacky as we paid a large sum of money to be there and it was not the time or place. Overall the Riu Antillis in Aruba is a decent hotel with lots to offer but is in dire need of a renovation and should not be marketed as a 5 star hotel in our opinion.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Great resort

Plenty of enthusiastic staff, lovely amenities, clean pools, wi-fi worked. Buffet breakfast was especially good. Really professional nighttime entertainment. Best thing for us was that they obviously pay attention to cleanliness and food and water safety - we didn't get sick!!! I was also impressed with the country as a whole - emphasis on education, health care and the environment.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Fantastic vacation!

The resort was beautiful, the he beach was amazing and the staff all around the hotel made yiu feel so right at home! You never waited for a drink, or a table! So many amazing food options to choose from!

Riu Montego Bay: Excellent Value for the Money

This resort is excellent value for your money. The resort is clean and well maintained. The pool area is large and plenty of lounge chairs are available. The beach is small but not over crowded. Our room had an amazing view overlooking the beach. The room itself was small but functional. The food was above average. The buffet had a large and varied selection for both breakfast and dinner. The al a carte restaurants also had excellent meals and service, except for the Steakhouse. The meal was ter [... read more]rible. All in all I would recommend this resort, very highly.

Riu Republica: Very Good Resort

check in was fast and front end staff friendly and helpful. The room was as we requested with no hitches. The housekeeping staff were friendly and catered quickly to any needs. The grounds are well kept as well as the beach front. Plenty of beach chairs available and bar service rounds were frequent. The two buffets on site were clean and variety of food tasty and catered, I would say, to every ones taste. The nightly entertainment was good and the daily activities were varied. The facilities of the related RIU's were included, but not within a reasonable walking distance.. .

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Superb Resort

This was our 4th trip booked thru Trip Central to this amazing Resport, about a 35-minute ride from Airport. Alls Rooms are spacious and well maintained, with the Refridgerator stocked with the Beer and Sodas of our preference. The grounds were perfectly manicured, and the pool waters were warm givin the consistent weather in January. In addition to the 4 ‘specialty’ restaurants common to all Riu Palaces, the daily Buffets at breakfast, lunch (@ the Italian) and dinner provided a great varie [... read more]ty of excellent choices. We booked 2 half-day excursions thru the local Nexus Rep, one to the River where we saw a wide variety of Birds and beasts (crocks, iguanas, ...), with the only complaint being the bumpy backroads. The other was to the eco-site next door, where we saw local animals (puma, jaguar, ocelot, ... sloths... and some smaller critters), birds (including Toucans and parrots), snakes, frogs and butterflies. Not to miss. Avoided the Zip-Line...it’s on the agenda for next life. In addition to pools with frequent drink service there, the walkable dark-sand beach stretches for miles. And as an extra bonus, saw 1-week old turtles released to ocean, and met families of monkeys just a short walk from the hotel. Of course I didn’t feed the monkeys from my hand, because that would be against the law! We will go back again and again. As a minor complaint, the cable TV was terrible...they do not offer US Networks, or any NOrth American sports stations. With the vast majority of occupants English-speaking, about 36 of the 40 available stations were in Spanish. My wife, however, was thankful, and reminded we weren’t there to watch TV

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: the best Riu Palace that I have been to

Hotel is great with a very friendly and helpful staff. Grounds are still undergoing growth and are large and clean.The beach is long with clean white sand and has a lot of coverage from the sun with hundreds of large palm trees.There are five pools which will satisfy any ones needs. Food was delicious no matter where you ate. One of the best Riu Palaces that I have been to. Will return in November.

Riu Republica: Had a Fantastic Time!!!!

We had a great time at the Riu Republica. It had a great vibe and energy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing as usual for a Dominican resort. It is quite a large resort so there is lots to do. We did have a wait for the restaurants each night which ranged from 15-50 mins but they handle it nicely with pagers so you can wait in the lounge with a drink. Overall i would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing week.

Riu Flamingos: Worst hotel in Mexico!

The Riu Jalisco is not a 5 star hotel! Overall the hotel and general staff were ok. However, the hotel management is terrible. My wife got food poisoning on the third day we were there and I reported it to the hotel management. Instead of offering help the hotel manager, Paula Garcia Alvarez, denied that it was food poisoning and insisted we had brought a virus from Canada. She then threatened to quarantine us both to our room and said we would not be allowed to fly back to Canada on our departu [... read more]re date. They then insisted we went to the hospital to be checked for this 'virus' but didn't assist or pay for the testing and transportation cost. We went to the hospital and the test was negative as WE HAD FOOD POISONING NOT A VIRUS! The only person that cared or helped us was the on site Sunwing Representative, Gabriela Orozco. She escorted us to the hospital and translated for us as well as waited for the test results. She also took care of our transportation costs to the hospital and check in on us daily. She was fantastic. My wife was sick for a week! I would not recommend this hotel, not because we got food poisoning but because the hotel management treated us so badly. We have gone to Mexico many many times staying in 3.5-4 star hotels, all of which were better than the Riu Jalisco.

Riu Palace Baja California: It's good here

We had a great tip. We loved that it was a small resort with big resort amenities. Lots of chairs. Lots of towels. Amazing food!!! Strawberries and Shrimp. The staff was super great. Beautiful location. We enjoyed the water slides at the attached resort.

Riu Santa Fe: 5+ start worthy

My husband and I booked this trip for a much-needed getaway. The actual Resort lives up to the website, it is fantastic! Everything was perfect from booking this trip to the flight, the resort the transportation to and from. Everything was just perfect! This was our first trip Central experience and we will definitely be back . Thank you trip Central, we travel at ease with you

Riu Republica: Awesome holiday location

This was a great experience! Our room overlooked the street and it was very quiet. Staff was very attentive and hard working. It is a large resort, but easy to get around. I loved all the restaurants because of the different themes. The 2 buffets offered so much variety as well. There were so many pools and bars, it was impressive. If you were hungry after the restaurants closed, there was food at the centrally located sportsbar. This was truly a vacation place where I let go of my stress. The b [... read more]each was beautiful just many vendors there. My friend and I went shopping due to the rain, but this mall was very different than a north American mall. Very high prices and very pushy vendors. I liked the shop on the resort because it had a variety of everything and nobody was pushy. There were many activities like bingo, dancing classes, foam party, water slides, beach party, and other fun things. The shows were impressive as well. The staff do a great job encouraging guests to have fun. I will be very happy to visit this resort again.

Riu Republica: RIU rocks!

RIU Republica was a great resort to go to. Great hotel, many places to hangout, eat and lounge at. The staff were excellent, attentive and treated us very well. Remembering us from the previous day. Always cheery and friendly. The resort itself is big, and has venues on each side of the resort, that was fun, entertaining and a good time. The jerk chicken on the beach was soooo good! Our room was great. Clean and comfy. I don't have any complaints. This is the 2nd RIU I have been to. RIU resorts are the best that I have been to for cleanliness, awesome staff, food, entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere. RIU Republica is an adult only resort, it was a nice new experience. It was awesome to go and play at the waterpark without having to butt in line in front of a bunch of kids..haha.. I was the kid! Definitely a good spot to vacation.

Riu Republica: Amazing Resort

The resort was beautiful! The food was great and the service was superb. All the pools were clean and not too busy. Everything was close by. We went in Jan 2019. Defiantly recommend this resort. Lots of entertainment at night and in the day.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Honest Review

Service excellent Room cleanliness: satisfactory. Hair on toilet, washroom, hair dryer on arrival. Not cleaned well. Toilet: When flushing, it doesn’t flush completely. Need new system. A magot in toilet found. Hotel: Smells aged, musky rooms. Food: Excellent Pools: Nice. Infinity pool a bit too crowded and small. Activities: Need indoor playroom for bad weather. Maybe a pool table would be good. Entertainment: Satisfactory. I liked the variety.

Riu Palace Baja California: New,very modern,clean

This is a brand new hotel in the Riu chain.The rooms are beautiful with balcony and you have a rack to hang wet clothes.The pools and sitting areas all terrace down in the centre of resort.Very good view of the beach ,sea and the cruise ships that come in.Lots of beach chairs on the sand and around the pools.Only a few minutes with the town bus to go to the marina or about a 40 minute walk.Walmart is outside the resort 15 minute walk if you need to get anything.The buffet was amazing with so m [... read more]uch food to choose from that you should never say there was nothing there you like.The restaurants,the Italian was great,good lamb chops.Good selection of entries. Location in itself makes it to be very noisy.The staff where literally running around causing more confusion.You had no choice for the appetizer which came out with octupus,scallops.shrimp in hot sauce.Not everyone will eat these things so its pretty limited .The main course was steak ,lobster etc.Your choice.The steak was good if you got it cooked to your taste.My husband's steak came out raw the first time.Sent back but was barely cooked in places to medium.They fool around a lot with serving the entre with trying to find the ladies meals first.They lift the lids to find on the tray who's meal is who's,which to me causes more chaos.The tray fell to the floor which caused more stress on the wait staff.The French fries served with a very spicy coating was not good.You had no choice with the potatoe.We did not go back to the steakhouse.It needs a new menu and choice.The Indian restaurant was with no choice you just where sent out small dishes of I am not sure.Very spicy and for myself I just couldn't enjoy anything.It also needs to have choice and a new format.But when all is said the buffet was always a good choice to eat with everything to choose from.Fish ,salmon,lobster all was available to enjoy. The resort really caters to the party group so not much peace and quiet.The resort was beautiful and I like the quiet in the morning too sit by the pool and just relax.No music but by 10 am the music is on and it's the music for younger adults.It would be nice if they had spa music till noon.The partiers are likely just getting going by noon,or maybe they could use some quiet music for their hangover.You had bar service all day at the pool with staff getting you your drinks.Very good. The aquafit was very good when run by Alexandria.You got an amazing workout. Entertainment was there each evening but I am not one to take that in.The tenors were good.No comment on entertainment. The young adults running entertainment where very nice. Overall the resort is beautiful,good food,and the view is amazing.I saw the most amazing sunrises each morning.Its a resort you should enjoy.We did.We had 3 couples over 60.

Riu Playa Blanca: RIU Playa Blanca

Ocean view Room was clean and spacious. They did not restock Bar fridge with water and beer as often as they claimed. Food was good at the buffet. A little disappointed with breakfast with no bacon, ham or sausage the two days we went. They called hot dogs sausage. Lunch and dinner were good with lots of variety. Pool bar was lots of fun with foam party two days. Grounds were well kept and check in was easy. Resort is 10 minutes from airport

Riu Negril: Super resort and staff with so much to do!

The rooms were big and clean, food was AMAZING!!! with so much selection, grounds and pool immaculate, staff were all friendly and fun, shows were great...the only downfall was the sand flies (fleas) and ants (dont go in the grass). They were horrible and attacked us day and night. We talked to some locals who said it was the time of year. We really couldnt even enjoy the beach though because they were even worse there. Oh and our 3 different bug sprays didnt help. Home 3 days now and the bites  [... read more]are still itchy. We still had an amazing stay though and this was by far our favourite all inclusive to date because of the staff and all of the variety the resort offers.
