Melia Marina Varadero: Lovely resort.

The Level service was very good and we had access to the Level concierge service which was always very accommodating for making reservations at restaurants and the spa. One comment about the beds available at the pool for only Level guests needs to be better marked for Level guests as others were making use of them. Perhaps a reservation system or regular monitoring of the pool area would ensure that the guests for which these are to be used are in fact able to use them. Not all guests are com [... read more]fortable with confrontation of other guests that are using the facilities or going to speak to hotel staff about abuse of services by guests that are not paying for Level services.

Paradisus Varadero: Gorgeous and breathtaking resort

The hotel was outstanding. A breathtaking landscaping beautiful all around. The room was always kept in mint condition. Our stay at Paradisus Varadero was a memorable one and we will never forget how incredible our experience of staying at this resort was. My husband and I were blown away by each and every day we had spent here. I would recommend this resort to all who ask me where they should go on their vacation 💜💜💜🏖🏖

Melia Las Dunas: Not the Melia quality we expected

The resort is showing its age like most places in Cuba. It seems they build these nice resorts but dont have the means to maintain them because of the lack of money or manpower. It seemed to us there were too many guests for the number of staff. They were always running out of some kind of food, bread, french fries, hamburgers, ice cream cones etc. The buffet became uninteresting very fast. The staff in general were very pleasent and they tried to accommodate you as best they could.There was the usual difficulty in finding shade seating at the pool and beach, mainly because people would throw their stuff on the lounges and then take off somewhere else for a good portion of the day.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Good Reaort

Beach was amazing and clean. Kept clean and well maintained facilities and pool. Friendly and polite staff. Pool could of been a little warmer. Staff was friendly and accommodating to requests. Could of improved on the entertainment. On morning of departure there was no food available prior to us leaving even though it was promised!! However, all in all a pretty good resort!

Melia Las Dunas: Great cuban people

The only problem was they are always out of alot of food that is on the menu. I have been there twice now once in the fall and once in spring and it has been the same both times. They where out off pizza sauce. No pizza unless you have a reservation. They where out off almost everything at the snack bars all of them every day.

Melia Marina Varadero: Awesome stay at melia marina cuba

This is the second time at this resort and it was just as great as the first time. The level service is amazing and the à la cart restaurants were very tasty. Definitely the best food I’ve ever eaten in Cuba

Melia Buenavista: Al that we had hoped for!

Our objective in spending 5 days in Cuba was finding a space warm and private enough to rest, read and feel the sun at the beach. Not only did Melia Buenavista provide us this, but great accommodation, good food and excellent service. The people who work at the resort are amazing. Would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a smaller, quieter resort with ample pool and beach options.

Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful Resort

Just spend another week at Melia Las Dunas in Cayo Santa Maria. This is a beautiful resort with a wonderful beach and gorgeous gardens. We stayed in the adult section with a view on the ocean and near a beautiful pool. The food was excellent and the room was perfect for us. The nightly entertainment was great every night. The resort was very clean and the personnel was very nice with us.. We had a wonderful time.

Memories Cayo Largo: lucky to swim

First I would like to thank to the hotel staff for changing the room but...if only would be ALL about the resort! would be perfect for us. But the ocean...only 3 from 7 days we were able to swim there at Lindarena beach in front of Sol resort. First 4 days big dangerous waves spread algae all over .The transport to other amazing beaches was not free of charge, be aware. We enjoyed to walk kilometers on the beach to the right towards Paraiso and Sirena beach and to the left towards Lindamar vil [... read more]las. Splendid sand the softest I found in Cuba! Clear waters and amazing sunset!. The Sol Cayo Largo Resort, room and food were good. Tennis fields, fitness and body building corner were clean, modern and very well designed inspiring relaxation and beauty, a lot of flowers and vegetation around. I guess all the Quebecois missed the bacon :). Considering it is an main Island we expected to receive more fresh fish and a bit variety of sea food. About the buffet, the food: fresh veggies and fresh fruits were missing the first 3 days but were present all days lot of blue cheese, grill (chicken, beef, porc, white fish) and salmon NOT Salmonella :)... I appreciated for four stars soft sparkling imported orange juice, white and red wine, splendid rum were all days present and 1 liter and a half bottled water per room. Bravo for your good local water melon, pickled cabbage and fresh squash! Was very well done! The wonderful taste and smell of the Cuban bread we cannot forget. Room and resort general conditions are good and very clean all the time. Both rooms were equipped with very quite and modern air condition AC and blind dark curtains. The staff is friendly and professional as in many other resorts in Cuba and make us revisit. Miguel Antonio, Oscar, Angel you are amazing hard working and kind and we hope to came back and see you again!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: We will come back!

Good value for the money. Nice room,beautiful beach and food...... we survived. Japanese restaurant was fun and our favorite. We just love Cuba. The beach had plenty of room and loungers so you didn't need to get there too early to get a spot. The 24 hr sports bar was handy for food and drinks.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Relaxing stay

Rooms were clean and modern. The beach was amazing and the main reason we went. The food was fine, just wish the buffet had more variety. There was a nice smoothie bar and plenty of options. The staff were all very friendly and willing to assist with any issues or questions.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing beach and wonderful staff

My wife and I visited this resort starting March 15, 2019, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. First of all I wish to recognize and thank the staff that are attentive and caring and look after the needs of the numerous guests. The long and beautiful beach and the magnificent ocean are one of the highlights of this hotel. There were activities provided by the hotel, but we did not participate in any, so I have no opinions to offer. We just took in the BEACH... And then there was the endless fresh coffee beans being ground to prepare the delicious Espresso, Late, Cappuccinos, Spanish coffee or whatever you desired... Melia Las Americas: Great Resort

I have been to Cuba a number of times. This is by far the Best Resort I have been to. It is a beautiful resort. The grounds and pools were clean and well kept. The beach is wonderful. For Cuban standards, the food was quite good. And one could always have some grilled meat or fish. I strongly believe that, everybody working in this resort (whether it is the people at the lobby, buffet, maid, or anybody else) made sure that your holiday is perfect. Melia Jardines del Rey: Simply the Best !!

It was our first trip here and definitely wont be our last. We absolutely LOVED this resort. We would of stayed much longer if we could have. The restaurant selections, The food, The service from waitresses and waiters to bartenders, yardworkers and drivers etc. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Paradisus Los Cayos: Beautiful new resort

The facility is gorgeous! The beach is gorgeous! No problem getting sun or shade at the beach or pool. Very attentive staff members everywhere we went. Big resort great for walking, always felt very safe. Great variety of restaurants, although visits are limited. Fruits and vegetables are at a premium. And we know Canadians love their toast, this was extremely lacking, most mornings only dinner rolls to toast. Beach, restaurant, bar and pool attendants superb, great service. Great coffee! Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Relaxing vacation

This hotel is a combination of 2 resorts - luna and mares. I was happy to a choice between a quiet side and a lively side. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable. Food fairly standard, and o.k.. Most people enjoyed the grill and select your own pasta. Pools and lobby areas are immaculately clean. One disappointment I had was the air conditioner was too cold and there was no way to adjust it so either on or off. Basic beds on the first floor mares side. Paradisus Varadero: All rooms not created equal

We spent 4 nights and 3 days at the hotel and had a great time. The weather was beautiful and the food pretty good. The pills and beach were immaculate. The first room we had was infested with mosquitoes and I would get allergic reactions every time we turned on the AC. After leaving it off for a while, the room wreaked of sewerage. Finally, after two nights of mosquito bites (and the related cortisone shot from bite reactions), we requested a new room. Our cleaner there was amazing and kept the room spotless, which made us realize that the first room was not maintained at all. Sigh! We felt super duped for putting up with the first room. So, in short, nice spot but no quality controls in place. If you are rigorous about self -advocating though, you'll have a fine time.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Not a 4 star

The resort is an older one. Some parts of the resort were dangerous with nails sticking out of posts. There was a rickety rotten bridge that we had to cross twice a day to get back and forth from our room. I twisted my ankle twice while I was there. The hotel kept running out of essential items. No bowls or spoons at the Breakfast Buffet. No tonic at the bar. There is only one coffee machine for the whole of the resort so if you wanted coffee at lunch or dinner you had to line up at the bar. [... read more] The bathrooms in the lobby kept running out of toilet paper and there was only 1 soap dispenser for about 10 cubicles. On the upside the landscaping was well kept and lobby is very comfortable.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Very nice clean resort

Rooms clean nice grounds pools beautiful water warm Beach is fantastic staff friendly We would go back to this resort Kids travelling with us love the kids club We were a group of 14 and everyone had a good time!!!!

Paradisus Los Cayos: Great resort with lots of potential!

Fantastic location, very peaceful and calm setting. The beaches, pools, food were outstanding. Staff were very good. They have some work to do in terms of fixing processes (i.e. booking restaurants, having an itinerary of what's happening, etc), which will happen as they expand and open up their full resort. We didn't think the Royal Service was worth the extra money.
