Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: It was just okay!!

I have traveled a lot and I do not usually make that much of a fuss over a room, but our room leaked water all over the floor, luggage - we had to move rooms - which annoyed the staff. They dragged my bed down from our 1st room and set it up in our new room. They were annoyed that they had to reset our safety deposit box in our new room. Our last day they, they snapped at me for being too early to pay them for a later check out. The food was not good - at all, except for the eggs in the morn [... read more]ing. The pool was freshly painted and didnt tell us, so I have a brand new bathing suit ruined with blue paint on it. The cleaning staff were the nicest people there. The weather was decent - did rain everyday but that is the tropics!! I did manage to relax and get some sun and read 4 books - so that goal was accomplished.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Very good resort overall!!

Really enjoyed the resort! We stayed in the plus section which was lovely! The beach was in a stunning bay but was a short walk. The beach staff were great! The pool had lots of activities to keep all busy. Loved the food! They made the best with what they had! Never went hungry. One of the best Cuba vacations I’ve had!! Would recommend and go back!

Playa Pesquero: Best so far

Great service Great beach Great rooms Great food options Great ala cartes Lobster and shrimp plentiful Servers and staff 5stars 8th time in cuba best resort so far. Stayed 11 days and didn't do all there was to do.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Friendly Resort

Hola Well kept ground, well groom trees, brush ect. little geckos running around, tile very slippery when wet pool clean and perfect temp, games to play entertainment all the time but still enough space to enjoy quite time ocean few weeds but the beach sand was clean and warm, buffet had a large choice to eat and the a la carte restaurant were very good attractions must do fishing and bay adventure boat tour/ safari Cerveza always cold and near by

Brisas Covarrubias: Amazing beach

The staff is the best that there is anywhere. They just couldnt do enough for you. Very courteous and friendly. The hotel is in a quiet location and it is small enough that you will meet almost everyone. I've been 8 times and planning another visit soon

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: The best 3 star resort we have been to in Cuba

The best 3 star resort we have been to in Cuba, The grounds were very well kept, the staff was extremely polite and courtious, since we tip the service was second to none, there was not enough they could do for us. The pools were very nice, but we really liked the lovely sandy beaches, be sure to bring spray for the bugs at the beach. The nightly entertainment was quite good, wish I was younger to enjoy it every night. Sol Turquesa Beach: Some improvement but overall, a good experience.

The resort was generally clean. The employees tried their hardest to make sure that the visitors get A+ service. The resort was very safe. Due to the layout of the resort, cascading pool, lots of stairs to go up and down to, people with mobility issues may find it inconvenient. Cascading pool was nicely laid out and I see the pool guy first thing in the morning cleaning/sanitizing the pools. I have never eaten that much pizza and fries in my life as they were very good. They serve light lunch in the beach so that was fabulous as going back to the main buffet was a bit of a walk. Their 24 hour snack bar was also very convenient for those who want to remain poolside. They serve it to you with a big smile. If you are a fan of lobster, try their lobster lunch for 10 CUC. The servers were amazing. The ladies on grill section during bfast and lunch were both amazing. They try their hardest with the very little they can source out. Pls TIP. It goes a long way for the locals. Bring basic necessities like toiletries, school supplies. I left all my clothes and came back with an empty suitcase. Entertainers - they work their butts off so hats off to them. They come first thing in the morning to entertain guests at bfast ( yes, they were already there by 9 AM to put a morning show). They stay until disco night is over and does not get home until 1:30 AM, catching the last bus to take them home. They work really hard to entertain visitors so please spare them something as they oftentimes get missed. Overall, our stay was memorable other than the bug bites which is beyond their control.

Playa Pesquero: Excellent Resort

My sister and I and two 80ish year old Moms stayed at Playa Pesquero Nov 3-10. It is a larger resort, but has a small resort atmosphere. There were 6 seater carts to take you wherever you wanted to go. We all had a fantastic week. The staff are so thoughtful and friendly. At the dinner buffet one night a server left the restaurant to get a bucket of ice for my wine!! The food was excellent and lots of variety The pool and beach was amazing. The hotel was great the food i give it a 6.5/10 and the room a 6.5/10 but all the rest is 10/10 and u would recommend this to every body abd if you haw kids dont be shy to bring them with you its very safe

Very nice room. Service very good. Very good landscape, beautiful beach. Good restaurants & plenty of food. Nice tropical fruits. Very nice entertainment every evening. Very friendly people. Very good location.

Playa Pesquero: Moneys worth

A nice place, well kept surrounding. The Sgaff are very friendly and helpful. Most of them speake english. Excellent Lobby. One draw back is their Wi fi awrvice. Very difficult to get connected. In modern days the service they are providing is Extremly poor ans sub standared. Unless they upgrade this service, I will not recommend for people who like to use their phone for data, whats app etc

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Amazing Experience!

My boyfriend and I visited the Plus section of the hotel and could not have been happier! After booking this hotel last minute with very seemingly cheap prices, we were a little worried but could not have been more pleasantly surprised with the service, entertainment, food and overall experience. We got 4 A La Carte dinners for the week and the food was better than most restaurants in Toronto. Especially the lobster dinner. We met a bartender named Adam (Adan) working at the VIP and lobby bar and he could not have offered better service! He would always do amazing tricks while making our drinks and was genuinely interested in talking to us. My boyfriend and I are both students in our early twenties and couldn't tip as much as he deserved but he was always happy to see us and never treated us any differently. This hotel offered so much for its price and I would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in a quiet, relaxing getaway. Thank you to the Blau Costa Verde staff for making it such an enjoyable experience! I would love to return someday.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Pleased/Not Great

Royal Service not so royal. Pool lovely but very small. Food very good. Royal beach, a lot of seaweed. Butler service non-existent. Outdoor patio not enough table and chairs. Too few available pool chairs.

Brisas Guardalavaca: now that a vacation !

from one to ten, it is a 9 ( it was a pleasant surprise ) we did not inspected the food to be that good. The bedroom ac work great, the room are clean, easy access to all the resort, many lawn chairs on the beach with security personnel close by.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Entertainment staff is wonderful!

I loved this resort! The food wasn't too bad, the rooms were beautiful, but the highlight was the entertainment staff!! They kept you involved in all kinds of activities, and even remembered us by name! I would definitely revisit this resort! 10/10!

Playa Pesquero: Play Pesquero- good resort because of amasing beach!!!

Good: Beach is excellent, very calm, coral reef is close, no problems with chairs in the shadow and towels (very good service). Other (could be improved): 1. Room are outdated, air-condition does not work well. 2. Entertainment is very basic, absent several days a week. 3. No entertainment at the beach, except laud music (stretching, water aerobics, other games). 4. Open buffet, without air-condition, lots of fans are not working, huge amount of flies (specially in the morning) - not accept [... read more]able for the 5 stars hotel (even Cuban). 5. Chairs in one part of the beach are plastic (very uncomfortable) - do not exist in many other Cuban hotels. 6. Cleaning of the rooms is not the best (the floor in the room was not washed, at the balcony not cleaned at all). 7. Curtains are dirty, not ironed, missing hangers, look terribly in any place, not acceptable in the 5 starts hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this resort Oct 6/17 for 1 week and enjoyed it very much. The beach was amazing, always found a lounge in the shade. The pools were beautiful and very clean. The a la carts were very good. The buffet was good for Cuba. The lobby area - including coffee bar and lobby bar was very nice, spacious and a great place to socialize. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for you. Very friendly and happy. We tipped often and they certainly deserved it. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing

Hotel rooms clean, large and updated. The bathroom was modern with large shower. The grounds were well kept. The swim up bar pool was a little dirty at times. Staff very friendly and helpful. They need fans in the lobby area because it gets unbearable in there. Food very good. No problem getting sun beds around the pool.
