Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Very good location!

This was a nice small hotel right in the middle of town. It's within walking distance of pretty much everything. Food was good. The service was hit or miss. All in all a good place to unind foe a couple of weeks!

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Charming old Mexican style resort

Old but clean spaces, friendly staff, beautiful Mexican art and decorations, good value for the money, a feeling of community, many of the guests were older enjoying togetherness, the food was plentiful, lots of Mexican cuisine, adorable spa area hidden near the far end of the swimming pool. A place to be appreciated for what it is, good enough not to complain about the beach being 5 minutes away, the noise of the big street being constant, the pool being small...

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Pleasant Stay

First impression was disappointing. Main lobby seemed a bit tired, with soiled couches and a sticky front desk. Check in and out went smoothly. The resort has 4 a la carte restaurants; no reservations required, first come first serve. Sometimes had a lengthy wait for the second seating but they had a good paging system when your table was ready. All our evening meals were a la carte and mostly provided good food. Buff [... read more]et provided lots of variety, food when cooked to order gave the best results, otherwise food seemed overcooked or had been kept warm for too long. Room was very nice and clean. We upgraded to an ocean view and were pleased with the view into the bay. However the room was close to where many wedding activities were held and created some party noise till 11:00. We were not impressed with the evening shows, only 1 evening had hired entertainment. Other nights it was just audience participation events. We were rather surprised by how many smokers there were on the resort., with no designated outdoor non smoking areas. The bars and two pools where nice, and the salt water pool was a cool feature. High tides and big surf tossed some fish into this pool. Finding shade around the pool or under palapas where tricky if you didn't reserve your lounge chairs by 7:30 am with a towel. The staff were helpful and pleasant. There was a language barrier at times but that is to be expected. The water sports centre staff were awesome as was the beach bar staff. Beautiful beach and great surf. Lots of stairs and a small zoo set in natural gardens.

Crown Paradise Club: Very nice resort

After reading all the negative reviews we had reservations about this resort but we were pleasantly surprised at how great it was. Room was very clean, and spacious, resort kept very well, food was good, al la cartes were excellent! everything is so close within steps of the beach, our room was ocean view, what more can you ask. The adult swim up bar hot tub and pool was a favourite of ours and of course the beach. Great vacation will definitely go back!

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great service, but many faults.

Great service and great room. Food was good but 1 of the 4 restaurants was closed 8 of the 10 days there for wedding groups. The main pool is not heated and I could not use it, toooo cold. One last beef, I was on the third floor (actually 4th as they could floor zero as the first floor) and 48 steps to climb up, no elevators. This resort has steep stairs all over to get to main or adult pool. Not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues or baby carriages. Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Most enjoyable holiday!

We had a comfortable room and a great and tasty variety of food and drinks but the most enjoyable for me were the exercise classes in the pool each day. The Mexican fiesta on Friday night was also quite exceptional.

Canto Del Sol: A great resort

I have been many times to PV but this trip was very last minute so no picking and choosing, The resort was nice, lobby, lobby bar sitting area, the bathrooms by the lobby could use an update but they were functioning, 4 floor building we were on the 3 a view from every floor, our room didn't have a fridge (room service) and a balcony (we had wall to wall window that we opened) the was a disappointment but we adjusted but we had the VIEW which was great. Food was very good didn't try the al a carts the buffet restaurant was good for me very good, the snack bar restaurant by the beach was very good you can order by menu or eat what they had out. The pool area was good they have a closed off section for kids. All in all very good.

Crown Paradise Club: Excelant Resort

All areas of the hotel were very well maintained.Rooms were clean. The buffet was very good with an exceptional variety, ate there for every meal. Service was excelant. Only issue was they should do something about the birds at the beach.

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Better than anticipated

We enjoyed the fact that this is not a huge resort but one that is smaller and the staff recognizes you and call you by name. All staff went out of their way to assist you. A friendly hello by name a handshake and even carrying your dinner plate to the table for you. The food was delicious and varied each day and a theme night at supper. We celebrated our 30th anniversary at the Italian restaurant and were treated to an amazing meal with a bottle of champagne and fancy desert. The grounds were b [... read more]eautiful and always being maintained. A heated swimming pool was also a nice touch. We chose an ocean view room that was well worth the money. The sun set right outside our window with extraordinary views. The room was big and comfortable and the air conditioning was always cool. Water pressure in the shower was strong and water always hot. There was always outdoor music but not so loud that you could not enjoy yourself if you just wanted to sit and relax. The maids kept things in spotless condition and there was a turn down service at night with chocolates and towels being replaced as well. Drinks were of very good quality. The beach was amazing, soft sand, no debris and very wide. Will return for sure

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Pleasant stay at this well kept and managed resort

A very clean resort through and through. Food was good, far from spectacular but a fair amount of variety. Good staff and accomodations. The beach is quite good with a fair amount of palapas and nice sand. The close proximity to the town of Bucerias means walking off resort widens your experience. My only complaint was the cold pools - they were too cold to enjoy. The ocean was warmer. I understand that the pools will be hot in the summer but why not use some solar heating in the winter?

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Dreams Villamagna is a great resort.

The hotel was wonderful. There was 3 pools to choose from and a hot tube, plenty of restaurants to choose from, daily activities printed out and left in our room, all the amenities you could dream of were there, the hotel rooms where spacious and clean, and all the staff members were very hospitable.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Average Tired Resort

Apon arrival you may be given a room with no balcony, just a window that looks onto a parking lot/street view or a brick wall of the next resort. Rooms are tiny. Not something you go down to Mexico for. You have to nicely chat with the concierge to get the room you asked for. Staff is friendly. Beach is nice. Closeness to town is perfect.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Good old fashion service

We are a return customer Excellent value, friendly staff, fabulous pool. The rooms are a bit dated, the smorg is pretty much the same everyday, however is still great value. The only advise I would give the owner is to "not change anything". :)

Riu Flamingos: Great resort

Just a super resort with manicured grounds,excellent wait staff and great food.spent2 wonderful weeks with superb only downside had dispute with cab dispute and could not get any solutions with hotel management even when promised .Although disappointed would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a super vacation

Villa Del Mar: Fantastic resort with amazing food and staff!!!

Extremely clean. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The food exceeded our expectations! Room was large and cleaning staff kept it Well stocked and very clean. One night there was dinner with live band held on beach. So much fun!

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Would definitely return!

We had a wonderful trip, from the flight to the resort, everything met our expectations. While the room at the resort was spacious, the bed was firmer than we like and the bathroom was in need of updating. Very clean facilities, plentiful food with menu changes frequently during the week. The staff was AMAZING and very friendly.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great resort for families

Grounds were nice, a little zoo in middle of resort in amoungst trees, bushes. Clean rooms and facilities, Mexican decor ect. Food pretty good in Buffett the Mexican and Asian were good, Italian and rib/steak place were not very good.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great Resort and Still Making Improvements

We have now stayed at The Grand Palladium Vallarta three times ..last time five years ago. We liked it then and it has even gotten better! We just returned Feb. 2/16. It would appear you need to congratulate the management for putting systems in place for improvement... BUT I think the real thanks and cuddos have to go to the par excellent staff!! We have traveled considerably and there is no doubt this is the best overall staff ever! The food quality has improved and it was quite good before. [... read more] I did not get to all a la carte restaurants but everyone I tried was good. The beach barbeques were very good. I will provide an in depth review on Trip Advisor in the next couple of days.

Velas Vallarta: Lush Tropical Resort...Food is top notch!

Hotel is nice and up to date. Mature crowd so if you are expecting wild parties this is not the place. Pools are great for children. The overall experience was very good. The marina is a short walk away which is a great experience. There are lots of great restaurants there and shopping. Be sure not to miss the Thursday market there. It's amazing!

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Amazing Resort

This resort was beyond our expectations. We were there to celebrate our 30th anniversary and it was everything we hoped for plus more. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent! To summarize in one word AWESOME!!
