Grand Palladium Palace: Great resort

The hotel has great amenities. Lots of choices for things to do. Many pools. Great for kids. Rooms were kept in good shape. Only down fall was the beach is very small and has erroded a bit. Lots of entertainment staff.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Brilliant Resort - something for everyone

Now I'll start quickly with the negatives -Rooms are dated (although beds extremely comfortable) -Outdoor space on the ground floor of rooms kind of reminded me of an unkept patio. Now enough of that - because I didn't spend much time in my room Food - Excellent. Typical All Inclusive meals, but everything was plentiful and flavourful. The French Restaurant was my favourite. I had the Exhale suite and with that came access to a VIP pool. This was a quiet space where you could truly RELAX The Activity Pool was great during the day....lots of space and the entertainment team always was around to get you involved in something should you choose to Party Pool - At 3pm everyday the DJ sets up and the party begins. Nightlife - shows were decent and everyone was having a great time.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Family resort

Very clean, great beach off pool deck white sand beautiful. Food was fair. Entertainment was terrible other than the Michael Jackson show. The animation team seemed forced and not dynamic, skilled. We very bored alot. They literally did one 10 min dance lesson and no practice. No music on, everything quiet most of day and evening. No activities to do, staff unhappy or rude.

Occidental Caribe: Amazing week

I have no idea what all the negative reviews are about this resort. The view, the pools are amazing! People were friendly…. Food always A LOT Of options from salads to fruit, meat and Sides! Is the service fast NO ur I wish people would put things in perspective… it’s 30 Degrees, they work 12 hr days, with few hours off in between and your ON VACATION!!!! VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great Resort

This was our second time to stay at this resort and would gladly go back again and again. It is a smaller resort which we liked. Staff are extemely friendly. Check in was a breeze. Our room was with a view of the pool and the beach which is what we requested. Food was very good and the three ala carte restaurants were even better. We found the entertainment a bit lacking compared to larger resort but were ok with that as we're not night owls. We would reccommend this resort to anyone who likes a smaller resort with great staff.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Bahai luxury Ambar

This was our third time at this resort and we enjoyed it as we did the first time we came. Food was great, bars were excellent especially Limbo and the staff and servers were wonderful. Looking forward to returning again.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Very happy here (but here are a few tips)

First of all, the room (a basic 2-queen economy room) was large, clean, modern, quiet, and new. Check in was quick and courteous. We were shown to our room which was handy as it is a very big resort. I'm glad we got a room near the beach/pool. Tip #1 - be sure to ask for towel cards at check-in as they didn't give them to us and I could not get towels without them. Staff are courteous and helpful. There is limited English but guess what, you're in a non-English speaking country. I used googl [... read more]e translate on my phone once or twice and also enjoyed the chance to learn a bit of Spanish. Food at the buffet was pretty good, and there was huge variety - seemingly endless stations and dishes with different tastes. So even though a lot of it was a bit blah, the variety saved it at the end of the day. A la carte restaurants have similar quality food but with the disadvantage that you're stuck with one dish. We went to one restaurant and then stuck to the buffet after that. Worked well especially with 3 and 5 year old kids. I was a bit disappointed that "juice" was actually a sugary beverage not the real thing. Speaking of Kids, the childcare place was great and nobody was using it except our kids. So take advantage of it. The waterpark was also great for the kids. Tip # 2 is about the drinks. While brand-name liquor is behind the bar, they don't use it unless you specifically ask. Rather, they use some generic stuff under the bar that has virtually no alcohol or taste. So remember, its "Mohito with Barcardi please." Also, for larger drinks, consider asking for your drink plus a shot of the liquor and adding it yourself so the alcohol is not watered down in a large cup. The resort is huge but well laid out, with the buffet centrally located. Take the time to explore it, including down the "boulevard" that ends at the waterpark. And the coffee is great generally but even better at the Cafe which serves all sorts of drinks including sugar-free if you ask (sin azucar por favor) fruit smoothies for the kids. Getting a spot at the pool or beach was no issue at any time of day, but I'm sure it helps that the place seemed only half-full. Tip #3 - if you need to buy anything (hat, sunscreen, etc) steer clear of the on-resort shops. There is a little shopping area just to the right of the resort as you face the water at the beach, that has little shops with everything you might need. I got a nice sun hat for $10 and I'm sure there was room for negotiation. The demographic was a bit older than I was expecting - A lot of mid-40s people like me and up from there. Chill vibe. Enjoy!

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: beach

grounds are nice , a lot of items did not work right in the room , like show knob falling off and A/C only down to 24 deg., but the beach was great !, Food was good ,But not a lot was label gluten free need more .

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Highly Recommended

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Secrets Tides. It was gorgeous, classy, and the service was wonderful. The resort just opened in 2024 and it showed - Just beautiful. We upgraded to a swim up room - Well worth it. I highly recommend this resort!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Lovely resort.

Everything about my time at Sunscape Coco was amazing. The staff are great people and are always working hard to keep everyone happy. Ten stars to the following entertainment/dancing team: Falcón Rihanna Will Smith El Meloso Forever Black Chocolate 10 stars to the following bar tenders: Fransisco Sergio Andres Everyone was amazing and attentive. The beach is amazing, the pools were well kept. The food was great. I'll never forget my time there.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Nice vacation

The hotel is nice and the pools and beach amazing. When we first arrived to check in there was no welcome drink and Anna was not friendly at all. The spa people hound you 5 times a day to purchase services. The alcohol is not the greatest and the wine sucked. We purchased a bottle of wine that normally cost $20 ended up costing $100. The food was okay but don’t expect to have any vegetables. The staff here hardly speaks English so it was super hard to communicate. If you are going to this res [... read more]ort bring towels. They never had any and the ones they did have were stained and gross. You also have to make dinner reservations through the app and it was not user friend. You can only book 3 days of restaurants at a time.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Great resort!

Serenade is a great resort. We were on the adult only side and have no complaints. The food was amazing with plenty of options for everyone. The drinks were awesome and never ending. The beach was great. Highly recommend!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Good resort - but lock your door!

Honestly, I wish I could give this resort a higher rating, overall it was great, however we did have an unsettling experience which has lead me to knock off a few stars. We travelled here for a trip in February 2024. - The grounds are spotless, there are people working around the clock to keep it that way - Food was decent, nothing to write home about but there was a bit of variety, and the quality is what is expected from an all inclusive resort. - I loved the little “downtown” area with th [... read more]e coffee, ice cream and pizza shop - there was always some kind of entertainment or event going on - loved that I could get an espresso martini - they kept me going for the week! - The room was okay, we just stayed in the standard room. It was dated and the air conditioning leaked, but the bed was super comfy at least! - We loved the staff that cleaned our room, she was caring and always ensured we had what we needed And the not so great story: - Our room didn’t have a deadbolt lock, we didn’t think much of it until after the first night when we found out that everyone else in our party did.I’m always paranoid, so I made sure the door was shut and set up a chair in front of our door before we went to bed on the first night. In the middle of the night I woke up to the sound of the chair being pushed across the floor. Someone had swiped into our room and opened the door, and I heard them pulling on the door on the safe (which is immediately to the right when you open the door) and then left. It all happened so quickly and I was half asleep I didn’t have time to respond. We reported it to the front desk first thing the next morning and they assured us that we are supposed to have a deadbolt and they would send someone to fix it immediately. We waited until the afternoon to check, and when we went back to our room it still hadn’t been fixed. Luckily our lovely housekeeper was there and we told her what had happened, she messaged someone to come and fix it immediately. The guy showed up, and he told us he would be back in 5 minutes so he could fix it. He never came back. They called our room the next day, and asked us how our stay was, again we requested the deadbolt to be installed and they told us someone would be up in 15 minutes to fix it. Again, they never came. Eventually we just gave up, and piled furniture infront of our door every night. They clearly did not care, and had zero intention of fixing it. Moral of the story: LOCK YOUR SAFE! And if you don’t have a deadbolt…just ask for a new room.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful Resort!

My wife and I were there from April 19th-26th and was extremely happy with the entire hotel! The staff were always pleasant and the grounds were immaculate! We stayed at the adults only side and enjoyed a 2nd floor room overlooking the pool in building 12... We ate 80% at the El Beso Adults only restaurant for breakfast and lunch at the beach. The restaurant was small with limited choice buffet style however there were enough choices to keep us happy! Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great beach

The grounds are beautifully kept .The beach is great and you never have a problem finding a beach chair. The food is good and alacarts are awesome. My only major problem is even though I don’t spend much time in my room other than to sleep the rooms are terrible and need major updating and renovations. My room had wet paint dripping all over. Bathroom Door handles were broken. Patio door had no latch and no lock. Very rough interior.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Good time

Stayed at this hotel in late April. The beach and grounds were beautiful white sand for miles. No rocks. The water was warm in both the ocean and the pools. Staff were very friendly and always resolved issues quickly. The food was good for an all inclusive. Best to get to the buffets early to have the better selection and temperature of food. There were more restaurants than days I was there. Only downfall is the reservation system. There should be room for more reservations, but I was on [... read more]ly to get into five nights out of seven. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping. Staff made sure that we were taken care of. The rooms are in need of updating. Lots of activities and the staff worked hard to keep you engaged. Overall I would recommend this resort for a family. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

I can’t say enough about the friendly staff. Staff was excellent. Had an amazing oceanfront room. Grounds were immaculate and beach was beautiful. Many restaurants and bars to choose from. Would definitely recommend.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Fantastic Vacation

I spent a wonderful 5 days at the Serenade All-Suites Adults only resort with my husband. We both agreed this was a "must return" resort. The pools were perfect. You could find a quiet zone to read, or if you prefer to live it up, the pool with the swim up bar was the place to be. The beach was amazing - there is a large sandbar which allows you to walk out into the ocean about 200 yards! It was even warmer than the pool! The service was fantastic as well. The restaurant and pool staff  [... read more]were always making sure we had what we needed and were happy to get us cold drinks! We had a pool view swim up room and I would highly recommend it. The rooms were very spacious, and modern. The food was decent but would suggest you go to the family resort next door for the buffet. They had more variety. Also, would recommend you pack a towel in your suitcase. By noon, the pool towels were all gone and you had to wait hours for fresh towels. Overall it was a great vacation. Already thinking of taking my daughter here next year!

Occidental Caribe: Don't waste your money.

This resort is barely mediocre. I was disheartened on so many levels: the food, the service, the entertainment, the rooms. I was surprised by my experience, as it had been advertised as a 4.5 star resort. Our room never had towels. We had a broken toilet. Instead of feeling relaxed and regenerated, I left this resort feeling sick and tired (literally).
