Melia Las Antillas: Great resort

Staff are phenomenal, the buildings a bit dated but very functional, food is we have to remember is Cuban but they really tried. Very few resorts offer all you can eat lobster at the Buffet Restaurant but this one did on 2 or 3 occasions. Because of Covid and the lack of guests, some of the amenities that we normally have here were limited, as restrictions lift more and more have become available. Enjoyed using the bicycles every morning, as well as the "Hop on and off" bus on the Varadero peninsula.

Melia Internacional: Amazing

Melia Internacional is a large resort with very friendly staff. Resort will not disappoint you. It is located right on the beautiful beach with beautiful pool as well. Beside buffet we tried Italian and TexMex meals were excellent. Buffet has a lot choices for anyones taste. Breakfast cook making omelet etc. is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. There is nothing bad we can say about this resort. Walking distance to Varadero town to explore to brake the routine is good as well. Memories Jibacoa: Busy like veradero

The food was delightful. OmG try the steak at the a l a carte!! Wonderful pool. Very large room. A very beautiful well kept resort deserving 5stars. Sadly too many jellyfish and rough waters to snorkel. We prefer a quieter resort and sadly memories wasnt. We would go back to it though as we found many quiet spots to hide out in.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great trip great value

Iberostar was a lot more then I expected.beautiful lobby,fantastic staff Rooms a little old but clean and beds were perfect. Lots of hot water and good pressure for showering Bathtub a bit hard to get in and out of for us old farts. 16th block was perfect for view of pool and ocean. Not too far to walk to lobby. We had 4th floor Was a great view. But lots of stairs cause the elevators were either not available or slow. Italian and Japanese restaurants were really good. Never had to fight for a lounger around pool, we always picked side far from the kids area. All and all it was a perfect resort for the money

Club Kawama: Leaves much to be desired

Pros: Easy access to the beach. Beach is great. Cons: Room was not prepared before check in. The bathroom was filthy. Bathroom shower fixture had no holding hook. Staff was not responsive to simple needs. Not much variety in the food menus. ok, granted that there is a food crisis in the country. Staff didnt seem to care about subduing the noisy guests in the lobby General comments: Great property. But management needs to pay attention to all the little details. Club Kawama: Great staff

Rooms need updated need dressers for clothes I didn't like that plastic glasses were taken out of garbage and reused(covid)wasn't fair that cubins at resort where taking most of food nothing left for us.bartenders should not serve people without masks but yes I really like the workers and for that I would come back

Club Kawama: Amazing staff!

I have been travelling to club kawama since 2013 and find this resort meets my needs everytime. For the price of your stay it is comfortable. Yes some rooms are out dated but personally im there for the gorgeous beach and clean pool. My fresh smoothie is made as well as my omlette. The snack bar is s great light lunch and supper has been steak..shrimp..pizza..pasta..soup..the list goes on. Already planning another stay.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Security didnt give a shit

We were approached and harrassed on the beach to buy drugs for several days in a row by a worker from the resort. It finally escalated into almost a physical confrontation when said employee tried to take our belongs because we weren't willing to buy his drugs. We then went to speak with the resorts security guards and complained about what had been going on right in front of them and to our dismay the drug dealer came up laughing in our face , shaking hands with the security guards and mocki [... read more]ng us because they were friends and would do nothing to stop the harrassment. Also while on vacation i caught a Male security guard trying to watch my girlfriend and an 8 year old girl going to the bathroom and when I called him out on it he didn't care and said that he was security so i physically removed him along with the help of the 8 year old girls father. Besides these events the rooms, food, pools, beach were all nice. Just sucks we had to deal with this frightening ordeals while on the resort and our vacation

Playa Vista Azul: Wonderful time!

I had a wonderful time at this resort! The beach is amazing, there's no need to wear shoes in the water you can go in barefoot as there are no rocks, shells, or seaweed growing at the bottom, just soft white sand. The weather is amazing at this time, it was hot and dry on most days during my stay. On rainy or windy days, you shouldn't go swimming as you risk getting drifted away by the ocean waves. The resort offers those staying at it, an array of water related activities such as kayaking, p [... read more]addle-boating, and the ability to go sailing on a beach catamaran free of charge. The infinity pool is beautiful and clean. The wifi is good and accessible throughout most of the resort, the only downside is that you need to contact reception to recharge it every few hours or so. There is a good assortment of food options in the buffet that is available everyday, and a couple of a la carte restaurants available to serve you dinner on most days. All, the staff were hospitable and tried to accommodate guests to the best of their ability. The rooms are well furnished and the maid comes to change the garbage and towels, make the bed, place water bottles, wipe the floors, and clean the bathroom on a daily basis. I think they only do thorough cleaning once each guest checks out and a new one checks in. Coffee pods and shampoos, gels, soaps are replaced only occasionally so come prepared with your own products and don't forget bug repellent and an after bite treatment, I couldn't sleep without mine and ended up with about 30 bug bites by the time I had returned back home! Travel agents are available in the hotel lobby every morning for answering questions and booking excursions, there's a doctor at the resort and PCR tests are done at the resort itself (must inquire about this about a week in advance and plan accordingly) which makes things pretty convenient. The entertainment in the lobby is very good, they have an array of violinists, singers, pianists, and bands that come in and do shows on a daily and nightly basis. The entertainment in the theatre is a mix of children's entertainment and adult only entertainment that mainly involves dancers dancing in some form of lingerie. The only recommendation I have regarding the entertainment, is I wished there was some form of notice board or television available for guests to check on a daily basis to see what the entertainment schedule is and what forms of shows were scheduled to take place. Overall, I found the resort to be safe for solo travellers, enjoyable, and comfortable for extended stays.

Sol Varadero Beach: Good hotel

Comfortable hotel, everything is clean and tidy. The reception helped whis all questions I had. The ocean is beyond praise, clean and warm water of 25 degrees. The food in the restaurant is delicious, but every day is the same. In general, satisfied.

Club Kawama: No complaints, but I will never go back

I had a tight budget, so I got what I paid for. The room was not hotel standard - the mold was visible and the drainage smell never went away. Very noisy at night. Wifi was $5CAD for two hours and can only be accessed in the lobby, where everyone smoked and very busy. It was very difficult to get drinking water. The food is cooked either too dry or too raw. There is no snack bar, as half of the hotel is closed. Some people are nicer than the others, though. The location is good, as it is clo [... read more]sed to the commercial area. It is very important to leave the resort/my room whenever I could. I am not complaining because I spent the lowest amount of money and didn't expect anything better. Club Kawama should never raise its price no matter how expensive other resorts are, since its infrastructure, food, and resources are not worth anything remotely close to four figures. I will never go back there. It should not be counted as a resort, not even a hotel. If I can't afford anything better, I'd rather stay home in the winter. It is way better to see the snow than smelling the drainage in the room and throwing up because of that.

Starfish Varadero: Really enjoyed this resort

Not brand new by no means but they work hard at cleaning and sanitizing and running a nice resort. Bungalows are great, older, but clean and spacious. We had a quiet location within a short walking distance of beach, pool, etc. The beach is AMAZING, AND SO IS THE STAFF!

Los Delfines: Amazing resort

Hotel grounds were very nice, and older hotel but very clean, food good for Cuba, hotel staff amazing. This hotel is right in downtown Varadero so close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is in three parts: Beach bar and special coffee bar, and older hotel with the buffet and a la carte, and the hotel on the main street with the lobby, pool ,and bar and snack bar. Club Kawama: I really loved staying here!

Firstly, would I stay here again? The answer is, "Hell yes!!" The check-in was efficient. The food was moderate. And the beer kept flowing! The beach was superb and all of the bar services on the resort (notwithstanding them not having Scotch) were really great!

Hotel Bella Costa: Amazing Holiday

We have been at this resort numerous times. There have been a lot of upgrades done to the rooms, grounds, etc. This is an older resort, but the resort is kept immaculate by staff. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. From the front desk to the entertainment staff and wait staff, there were no complaints. They went over and above their duties. We were able to get in the ocean the last few days of our holiday. The beach was very clean and groomed. The water fantastic. It was nice to have wait staff at the beach and around the pool - quite a treat! Food was fantastic - no complaints - lots of variety. There was no way you were going hungry. Covid protocols were in place. Masks were worn by ALL staff at ALL times. Hand sanitizer readily available throughout the resort. Cleaning of all surfaces done on a regular basis. We were not worried at all. All and all it was a fantastic holiday and we will return to Bella Costa many more times.

Roc Arenas Doradas: Amazing Resort

This resort is #1 as far as I am concerned. I have returned to this resort almost 30 times so that it speaks volumes. The rooms are clean. Some rooms have been renovated. The grounds are kept up. The staff are amazing! The food is good! You will never go hungry! It is a smaller resort so it is easy to get around.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Relaxing vacation, amazing beach, great staff

Hotel was much better than what I expected. Grounds were well kept, staff is cleaning and sanitizing on regular basis. Service was surprisingly quick. Selection of food was limited, but we never went hungry. Show time was amazing every night. Live music at the beach restaurant and in the lobby. Beach is stunning! Club Kawama: Love the Kawama hotel and the staff is amazing

The Kawama hotel is awesome and over the years I have made many friends there, they always make me feel welcome and a special thank you to Leida Fernandez I can always count on her to make my stay more pleasant, if I have a problem she is more than happy to help me....the only thing I have a complaint about is they really have to improve on the hot water, I only had hot water once in my room in the two weeks I stayed there

Melia Las Americas: Great Resort - Highly recommend the Level

Hotel is great - we upgraded to the Level and were really glad we did. The bungalows were spacious and well maintained. Our housekeeper Barby did an exceptional job. We really enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Limoncello - the al la Carte's were good as well. A little disappointed with the main buffet, didn't seem to have the same great selection as 2 years ago. Social distancing and covid protocols were being followed too - so it felt quite safe even during these times. We did not golf - although 3 days of golf are included when you stay at this resort. Overall a great vacation!

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort like always

This was our second time at the resort and look forward to going again soon. The only thing that was disappointing was the mini fridge was never restocked and we never received our bottle of champagne in the room like others have. Other than that it was awesome
