Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Most comfortable feel resort we've been to

Have visited the Royal Decameron Complex 10 times now and will be visiting many more. We have been to many different resorts in many different places and enjoyed them all for the most part, but the Decameron is definitely our favorite. Thank you to all the staff who are absolutely the biggest difference maker.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Pretty average resort, raitings said it was a 4+

To far out of town, our room was mediocour not premium like stated in add, adult pool to small. Food at buffet was mostly cold if not made at cooking station. Staff was really good. The ground were nice, we like the jungle feel.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great resort

This is a great resort, we would go back. All the staff were friendly, grounds were very vibrant, convenient location to town. Rental bikes for free to borrow. Entertainment was great (felt like we were on American's Got Talent). Restaurants were excellent. The only reason I gave 4 stars is b/c the buffets were okay.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Very Small

Didn't enjoy not having a chair at the pool. Played the towel game in the morning and when I came back from breakfast someone had taken our towel and personal belongings off and took the chairs, right in front of the security guard. The buffet was the smallest and worst I have ever experienced in 25 years of going to Mexico. The front desk told you whatever came to their minds depending on their moods. so had to go back several times to find the truth about several matters. They wanted to take o [... read more]ur bracelets off at noon when we had to check out even though we were not being picked up until 6PM. Then rooms need some TLC as maintenance is not a priority. Not going back. Only redeeming feature was the a la cartes, they were good.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Above and beyond

We just spent another fabulous at Friendly Vallarta, our fourth stay with these wonderful people. The staff at Friendly are second to none and can't seem to do enough for you to make your stay enjoyable. What was really noticeable was that it was the same staff year after year. It is not uncommon to have employees here who have been here for 20 plus years. Tells you how happy they are in their jobs! Grand Palladium Vallarta: very beautiful resort

this resort is very nice. The grounds, pool, beach , food, drinks and staff were great. We enjoyed a very relaxing week there which was the main reason for our trip. Thank you very much for making this happen for us. We would highly recommend this resort.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great week!

We got the room we asked for, high floor, king size bed and a great view! Service was amazing from the front desk, the bartenders an the waiters. Weather was great and we went on a couple of excursions. It was a great week of fun and relaxation!

Plaza Pelicanos Club: GOOD RESORT

Had a nice stay 2 weeks friendly staff very help full . Last day was a little stressful checked out at 11 am your flight wasn't till 930 pm front desk people said we have leave 1 guy was rude.I said we have to the 24 th were are going to go have the right to eat and drink till we leave. Jamie the manager great guy and yes your with sunqest we will honer til you leave.Lots of locals nice people would go back.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Nice resort. Very family friendly

The hotel is nice and a great location in town walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops. The food was decent but the buffet can get old pretty fast. Beach was closed half of our stay due to high tides but nothing they can do about that. Pools were clean. The staff are all very helpful and nice. Drinks were also good. The beer did not taste watered down and the bars were kept clean. Rooms were clean and adequate although the beds were a little firm for my liking. Booked a romantic dinner [... read more] while we were there and got a 3 course dinner for roughly $15 each and the food was really good. Easily a $40 per person dinner where I am come from. The kids club was awesome and the staff there made them easy to trust.

Riu Flamingos: Not what it should have been

Sewer back up smell In rooms (6th floor). Mattress cover in pieces (very inconfortable) Very noisy adjacent property mainly at night (south side) Few times we had to ask to have the room done before 4:00pm. (Too busy hotel or not enough employees) Same with restaurant : service very slow even when you see the employees rushing around. Dry and wet food left on supposedly clean dishes. Red flag on the beach for the 14 days stay.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Really nice resort

I stayed at this resort with my family. I have 2 young boys. 2 years and 3 months. The resort was very helpful with anything we needed. The food was good. Drinks were ok. It is a very quiet resort. The best part about the place is the staff! Always working always cleaning always repairing. They take great pride in their place and it shows.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: What we expected and more!

This was our second time to Friendly. As many before us have said, it lives up to its name! We go for the service, the small size of this resort and the food. The staff are second to none. The food for a small resort offers a lot of variety and options. Every day they're either grilling something up on the beach, or making something tasty pool side like churros. The resort is smaller and older, but they are forever maintaining and cleaning. The rooms are well kept too. My wife has a disability, [... read more] and for Mexican standards the resort is well equipped for us to get around. She spends the day using her cane, but by evening she's exhausted and she travel's by wheelchair. While the ramps are a bit steep, still pretty accessible to all areas of the resort. There's often staff standing by wanting to push the wheelchair for you. Our 4 year old son spent at least a few hours every day in the Kids Club. They do a great job with children, which allows for some of that rest you were hoping to achieve when you booked your trip! ;) If I were to criticize anything, it would be the liquor. I by no means go crazy while I'm there, but I do make frequent trips to the bar in a day. It's hot...gotta cool off somehow! The drinks they make taste good (they make some great drinks for kids too) but you can tell that the alcohol they use is of a low quality. In the end I'm okay with this because it's a 3.5 Star and to give you the level of service and quality that they do in other areas, they'll have to cut a corner somewhere. Overall, you'll be hard pressed to find a better resort rated 3.5 stars. If you want small, functional and some great service, then go to Friendly! If you're looking for a party crowd, 5 star accommodations, or perfect, new and pristine rooms, then click 5 stars on the filter and pass this one over.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great time!

Overall a solid 4 star resort. Beach, weather, food, bars, disco, entertainment, room, tennis, gym, pools all great. Enjoy going to the local towns, buying Mexican silver and drinking cold Mexican beer.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Such a welcoming place.

I enjoyed staying at this resort. It's an older place but keep up very well. Constant cleaning , repairing , painting being done. I noticed some staff are still working that we met from about 8-9 years ago. Must be good for the employees as well.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Changed a lot, but okay.

This is an okay resort. Rooms need some updating, staff are great. Good location. Food was not so great. Same stuff a lot of time. We had a good time, but we make the best of everything, and its Mexico so you can eat out! No music at the bar. Air Transat holidays, now that is something I would stay away from. 3 years in a row, late leaving and late coming home. Run out of snacks, so worried about selling you things you wait forever just to get a glass of water. Air Transat - Suck.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Lovely Resort!

Lovely place. Friendly. Nice set up. Nice bonus that there was kayaks and room safe included! Everything faces the ocean. Our room was a tad musty smelling... I unloaded my clothes onto shelves, which I wouldn't do next time. We received prompt help with any concerns. Found all lost items. Room was safe. Left my computer and phone several times. Lovely staff folks and lots of activity directors. Surprised there was no late disco dancing, but there was dancing on the beach dancefloor a couple of  [... read more]late evenings. I went to work and got a lot done and was well fed while the 2-16 year old girls I brought played happily and safely throughout this small resort.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Been at Marival 15 times

Marival is always spotless, staff always welcoming and weather beautiful. Was not too happy with the room we were allocated as it overlooked the staff parking lot and also was meant for people in wheelchairs so only had a personal shower. When Daphne found out she sent us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and a very nice letter. Daphne is the general manager and she came by one night in the restaurant and asked if everything was what we wanted. Overall it is a great resort [... read more] and for the price it is exceptional. Loved to fly with Air Transat due to lots of room in the seats!

Samba Vallarta: Great for the price!

The resort is smaller than some of the ones around it which was nice. The staff were great. The drink service was really good as well. There was usually always space on the beach. The pool did get a little crowded at times. There is also really only one main pool that's split into three which was disappointing as most of the sites said this place had multiple pools.

Royal Suites Punta Mita: Average resort

The resort was nice. I'm calling it average. Grounds were nicely manicured around hotel. The drive down to the hotel from the main highway needs work as this is your first impression and it wasn't great. The adults only part of the hotel was under some kind of roof repair. They did not give us any kind of heads up. Jack hammering all day from 9 am-6 pm was not pleasant. Also the head waiter at the adults only restaurant was not friendly. Crown Paradise Golden: Sun, sand and smiles :)

We chose this resort for the location. We prefer the climate on the Pacific Ocean. Every day was sunny for the most part :) We also prefer an adults only resort and smaller scale which we feel allows for a more personal service. The resort was clean, we were very happy that we got the type of room we had requested. All the staff were very attentive from arrival to departure. We enjoyed visiting the town of Puerto Vallarta; the waterfront, the architecture and the people. The only negative points [... read more] were the vendors but we just sat further from the beach to avoid them, and we found the food in the buffet could have been warmer. All in all we had a great week with a perfect mix of relaxation and fun!
