Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Very pleased!

This was a great hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were very clean but unless you were in the diamond club there was an empty mini fridge. The entertainment was amazing and the beach was gorgeous! The food wasn't the greatest but most know going to Cuba what to expect. All around great trip

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Superb beach !

This resort was perfect for a 5 night stay with my 9 year old granddaughter. It is very well set out, and from our room in building 1 we were close to the beach, the lobby and the lovely pool, also to the noise from the nightly theatre shows, which finished by 11. Our Nov 9-14 stay was low season, so no problem finding shady palapas. The beach was wide, the water was very clear & quite shallow for the first 10 m. or so, great for kids. The downside was the buffet, mainly the fact that most di [... read more]shes contained meat, fish ham &/or chicken. It's not difficult to have a chickpea salad without ham ! If we had been staying longer I would have asked the chef to provide a few more veggie choices, and I'm sure he/she would have. I found that many of the staff spoke very little English or French, and even when I spoke to them in Spanish, they didn't seem interested in any kind of conversation. The hotel was only about 40% full, so wouldn't they want to at least earn tips by being somewhat friendly? Most were uninterested and aloof, even the SW rep. This was my first ''unfriendly'' experience in all my visits to Cuba. However the animation team who interacted with the kids in the evening were terrific & my granddaughter loved them.

Hotel Playa Coco: Nice resort

The grounds were kept clean. The lobby was kept clean. Rooms were clean. They do need some work done on them. Lack of water was an issue. Lack of toilet paper in lobby, the day care area. The staff was very helpful an friendly.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Resort

The Hotel was good nice and clean and the Gardner’s work hard to keep this looking good washroom are an issues never had tissue and did not flush properly so you just start having your own supplies in your purse . I am alway a little disappointed with Sunwing because there is always delays coming or going or most times both . Not sure l will fly with them again .

Gran Muthu Imperial: Very nice resort

The beach was pretty good. The food was delicious but repetitive. The staff was the best part. rooms were nice and clean. Not everything was open but it is still very new. Very very close to Pilar beach. Really enjoyed the visit.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Second time here

Very friendly people at this resort. A little disappointed with the food. Pool needed to be cleaned, by the end of our stay it looked green and we wouldn’t go in. Beach was beautiful. Rooms need a little updating. Our tub didn’t drain properly. Wouldn’t recommend at this time but would go back if they improved the rooms and food. The gardens were immaculate; well taken care of. Hotel Playa Paraiso: Our favorite Cuba Resort

This was our 2nd visit to this resort and the first time we've repeated a resort. We love that this place is smaller so everything including the beach is within an 8 minute walk. The food is good, the grounds are kept very clean, and the entertainment is fun. The very best part of this resort is the staff. They are so friendly, treat you like family and go above and beyond for you anywhere they can. We will definitely be back.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Ok at best

Service was good. Staff were friendly, but very limited supply of certain foods, drinks and bottled water for the room. Food was ok, I didn’t starve. Rooms were extremely run down, not cleaned very well and shower barely worked. Pool and beach were nice. I had diamond club, but there wasn’t really too many benefits other than the restaurant.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Our favorite Caribbean hideaway

3rd time back. What brings us back is that it not too big so you get to know staff and amenities. Staff are wonderful, beach is beautiful and the pool is very nice. We went to all the entertainment except the white party. our daughter had her wedding there and made us all feel very special. We had a junior suite the first day but switched down to a lesser room that had been renovated after the hurricane. It was very nice. The junior suite was in very bad need of upgrading. broken til [... read more]es, bathroom floor grout was stained badly and lots of chips and chunks of wall and wood missing everywhere. Only electrical outlets were in sitting area, none by the beds. luckily I brought a long extension cord to plug a cpap machine into. in both rooms there was mold in the bathroom that probably wouldn't take too long to clean up but it stayed the whole time we were there, and probably still is . alacarts and buffets were good Beach bars and snack bars were great but the snack bars sometimes ran out of different things. We brought tools , clothes, hygiene products, clothes pins, cook ware, a hairdryer, an electric sandwich maker, an unwanted tablet and a couple of old phones. all were greater appreciated. we tipped the maid , restaurant staff and bar staff but gave most of our gifts to the gardeners, other non room cleaning staff, staff that stock fridges and other staff that don't get much of any tips at all.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Excellnt resort

Hotel is one of the best in Cayo Coco, beach and pool amazing, restaurants and bars very good, excellent activities/programs on entertainment, rooms clean with A/C working well, perfect services on bar tenders, waiters, front desk personnel, etc. Very nice gardens, lot of flowers and bushes around bldgs. It is a pleasure to dream to go back....

Tryp Cayo Coco: Fabulous Beach

We enjoyed our time at this resort, the staff was friendly and helpful. Great cappuccinos and mojitos at the lobby bar. Be sure to ask for bitters in your mojito or they will leave it out. Service was very good, bartenders would often bring your coffee/drinks to your table, and they would collect the dirty cups/glasses to keep the tables clean. The room was spacious, nice patio door and balcony so we could look out onto the grounds and the ocean. The front desk offered us an ocean view  [... read more]room at an additional cost of 10cuc per person, per night, which was annoying as members of our party were given ocean view at no additional cost. But the dunes are tall, so your view is still in the distance. We had a view of the ocean from our room, just farther away. Entertainment was great! There was music before dinner outside the lobby, a pianist one evening, a clarinet player, a Cuban band, jazz band, a professional singer. We enjoyed before dinner music every night. The dancing shows were good, lots of energy, the dancers rehearsed every afternoon for the show that night. The food was plentiful, though repetitive. There were long lineups at the grill station at meal time when they prepared omelets for breakfast, and grilled meat and fish for lunch and dinner. Lots of cheeses and desserts, pickles and olives. The hot dishes were mostly the same day to day. A pasta dish, a stewed meat, roast chicken, rice, some kind of calamari or fish. There was a smoothie station at breakfast time, a pasta station for lunch and dinner and one evening, the chef was making sushi to order. Half of the resort is closed due to Hurricane Irma's damage, and the rest of the resort had about 200+ guests. It was not crowded, we were very comfortable, no long lines for drinks etc. At full capacity, I think it would be very crowded. The mosquitos came out in the evening, but with the breeze weren't too bad. Bring bug repellent. One of the drawbacks was the pool and beach bars closed around 4pm, so you had to go to the snack bar or the lobby bar to get drink refills if you stayed on the beach or at the pool until evening. However, the distance to the bars was not too bad, as the resort is spread wide along the beach. There were bathrooms at the lobby and near the snack bar/dining room though the toilets often didn't flush. The pool bathrooms were often closed. The beach is beautiful, nice shallow sandbars, soft sand, you can walk a long way, collect sea shells. There were sun shelters along the dunes where you could stay out of the sun if you wished. The breeze kept us comfortable, kept the mosquitos away. We liked the resort, it was close to the airport, it was comfortable, food was good and service was friendly. We would visit again at the beginning or end of high season.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Beautiful

We went in the slow season so beach restaurant was not open. Food was good. Absolutely the best shrimp curry at the seafood restaurant and authentic Indian restaurant a la Carter. Impressed! Mix up w ocean view room and due to off season two buildings were closed. Beach was dirty w seaweed most days and aside from beach area, the beach front was rocky and littered. Staff was pleasant and pools were beautiful. Entertainment staff was excellent. Gym was good but employee at gym would not ta [... read more]ke no for an answer and was pushy in an uncomfortable way. Morning champagne and orange juice was serviced all but 2 days on a 9 day trip. Kids pool very quiet and fun!!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beach beautiful, entertainment great, food really good

The beach was wonderful and there were lots of chairs and shade available. We liked the east end past the diamond club beach. Great bar and grill there that served everyone. Sand bar walk was a wonderful way to exercise and enjoy the turquoise clear water. The entertainment was great. Lots of live musicians and the dancers were pro’s. The pool parties were fun. The jazz music a highlight. The food in the buffet was plentiful and there were lots of choices. Beef, pork, fish, plantain, squas [... read more]h, potatoes, pasta etc. Morning omelettes were great. Churros were delicious and so were the pizzas and fries. Bar service friendly and prompt. Coffee shop is good cute and we had fantastic Spanish coffee there. Snack bar by pool was a fun place to hang out as was the bar/ coffee shop/piano lounge by the lobby. A’lacarte meals were good. Decor a bit tired in Mediterranean restaurant. Grounds are well kept and attractive. The lagoon on the property was pretty with the 1 flamingo and turtles. Also Fico the pelican was entertaining. There were some friendly cats on the property. They look pretty healthy. We did see one mousing under some bushes. Doing his job. Our room was upgraded with a lovely tile shower and counter mounted sink. Hot water was plentiful and we were supplied with clean towels when needed. The ladies who cleaned did their jobs well. We did have a few things go missing while we were there. A pair of sunglasses, a hat and a baseball. Not sure who might have them. Another tourist or a local? Who knows. The baseball did disappear from the room. My room mate had a case of the trots from the food and I had a day or 2 when I came home. So common for tropical environment and our spoiled guts. I have treated with Imodium and pro biotics and all better. I would definitely go back. It’s not a place I would recommend for the younger crowd unless you take a bunch of peers with you, as average age seemed to be 35 and up. Mostly French Canadian, Russians and Anglo Canadians at this resort.

Gran Muthu Imperial: No better place in Cuba!

There aren’t even words to express what a great time we had. The staff are amazing! They are so appreciative of all the guests and are so welcoming. The rooms are clean and big. We went low season so not a lot of food but we enjoyed every meal. The pools are clean. The beach is rocky in some spots but still beautiful. There are drinks brought right to you on the beach. The lobby bar is a nice place to hang out in the evening. Drinks are great. Snack bar is 24 hours. Food and drinks [... read more] are great at the Snack Bar. We will definitely be back. This was our second time.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing resort and staff

This was my first trip and I have to say hands down the best staff and entertainment I have ever seen I have been to alot of gitels and have never been treated like family. The food was great the drinks were cold and everyone could speak about 3 to 5 different languages. This made my trip better cause I dont speak anything but english and i was worried i would have a hard time. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Best Cuban resort ever

The beaches were beautiful. The grounds were well kept. The lobby bar was huge. The staff was amazing friendly. I’m not sure exactly, but I’m almost certain this is a swingers resort. I travelled by myself and I got picked up by couples. I had a lot of fun if you know what I mean. Ménage a 3 😎😁

Gran Muthu Imperial: Highly recommend

Pilar beach is a 5 peso taxi ride round trip away. 100% worth checking out. As is always a concern the food wasn’t the best but the staff went over and above to make sure they served the best they have. Very nice experience overall

Hotel Mojito: Iberostar Mojito

Everything about this resort is wonderful. The beach, the gardens, the pools, the food and most of all, the lovely Cubans who are so kind and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean thanks to the hardworking chambermaids. It was an amazing trip!

Gran Muthu Imperial: We had a wonderful time.

The hotel is exceptionally clean and the friendly staff are amazing. Lots of foods to choose from. A variety of on going activities. Pools are beautiful. The nightly entertainment was great and the performers are very talented people. Being that it is the off season the resort was only half full. We had so much space and attention.
