Resonance Blu Varadero: Very Nice Resort!

The beach at this resort is beautiful, rooms are kept very clean, staff is so friendly, the food could be a bit better, I was there in 2016 also and the food was very good then so was a bit surprised this time, but still had a fabulous time!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Beach, Friendly Staff

Spent a week at Memories Flamenco Beach Resort. Staff always friendly and helpful. Always see staff cleaning. A little surprised when our room had two super single beds. Pools were wonderful and very clean. Lots of resort activities to participate in. Beach was great, lots of sand, kept neat and tidy, great for your morning walk. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Very Relaxing and Clean Resort

Grounds : Beautiful grounds, very clean, and mature gardens. Beach: Very clean !, beautiful beach, to the right on the beach you can walk on virgin beach there are no resorts to the right, so it is a very relaxing beautiful walk, no hassles to buy items, only the random fellow vacationer that you will meet walking - The beach is quite wide so there is lots of space to relax in a lounger without having people walking by your constantly. -The water was calm, and clear, lots of f [... read more]ish and sand bars that you could walk too easily. -Lots of beach loungers so you never had to look for a lounger. - 2 bars directly on the beach, and a pizza place right on the beach ( good pizza) - If you are diamond club they will bring you drinks and they are very attentive in refilling your drink, and very friendly Pool: Beautiful as well, the Foam party is a must.. so much fun :-) - swim up bar, pina colada bar, coffee and ice cream bar, snack bar all round the pool area. - lots of loungers and space around the pool so you are not crowded. Food: Very good for Cuba.. the fried rice was the best, and the al a cartes were fantastic - The buffet was layed out wonderfully, no long lines for food, everything was set up in stations, bread, fruit, desserts, main, pasta and fried rice, very good, the food was always replenished quickly ( always bacon ) - The servers were very prompt to brink drinks, or anything that you requested. - Very clean, especially for a buffet. Staff: Very friendly and helpful ! always very kind ! Very organized, we filled out our check in info on the bus to the resort, so when we arrived they had everything ready,they just had to check us in and give us the room keys. They took our bag directly to our rooms which was great !, and when we had to check out they came and picked up our luggage and took it to the front desk for us. Very good service. Rooms: Very clean, has a renovated room with a king size bed, and a beautiful balcony that over looked the salt water lagoon ( awesome, not smelly). - Electronic safe so you enter in your own code.. no hassle of carrying a safe key. - Air conditioner worked very well, fridge worked well, was restocked daily with water, beer, and pop. - 110 plug ins but be careful they produce alot of power so you can burn out you charger, or hairdryer - Hair dryer in the room Only downside was that there is no door on the bathroom ? wide open to the shower, sink, toilet, and room ? so take note privacy is low. Snack Sports Bar: Very clean, always had French fries ( very good not greasy), and great drinks, open 24 hrs, awesome coffee for early morning risers. Drinks: All very good, and presentation was always great ! not your average resort drinks at all, Lobby bar had the best drinks real pina coladas with coconut and pineapple... yum ! Entertainment: the Dancers and entertainers where amazing ! a very good show every night, if you are into shows. There is no disco or dancing, and most entertainment stopped around 10:00 pm. There is a disco in a cave about 25 mins from the resort that you can go to for 25 CUC.... heard it was okay.. nothing too special.. but fun. Location: 20 mins from the airport... which was wonderful !!!! , it was about 15 mins on the double decker bus to the closest market, average market.. .. not as big as Varadero markets, but very nice. Animals: Also note that there is a pink flamingo named Roberto that is on the resort very friendly, and there are a few cats on the resort that look healthy and are friendly and seem quite happy :-). Did not see any geckos or sun dogs at this resort. We did have one night that the mosquitos where bad, but it was on the beach for a beach supper early evening. This is a great resort to relax and to be pampered, demographics of guest would be 35ish to 70ish.. so it was a mature crowd. Would recommend this resort to anyone who wants to just relax and hit the beach, not so much for anyone who wants to explore or is into night life. Perfect downtime resort :-)

Resonance Blu Varadero: Memorable trip - thanks!

Only concern was lobby and dining room were so far from the rooms. Bus service was inadequate - I.e. not enough of them and no schedule for planning. Staff response time was excellent when room problems occurred

Grand Memories Varadero: Challenging Resort

This is a very large resort. It needs some remodeling and updating. Everyone has his/her own expectations so I can only share my experience. No hot water 3 out of seven days. Warm water one day and cold water the rest of the time. I personally prefer to shower with hot water.The food was certainly acceptable although repetitious. It was very well presented and staff obviously did the best with what they had. Service all around was below par. Most staff seemed very unhappy and did not appear to w [... read more]ant to provide service. Tipping frequently will help. I saw very little in the way of pleasant exchanges between staff and guests, something that I am not used to in Cuba. There seemed to be a shortage of towels. Also, the practice of getting to the beach or pool early and clipping towels on beach chairs to reserve for the day needs to stop. Many times I witnessed families or seniors unable to find a beach chair while many sat empty for the better part of the day. Very disrespectful and selfish of those guests.

Memories Jibacoa: nice and relaxing

If your not one of these people who are picky picky, this is an older resort that is not 100% like the newer ones but has an amazing location , great snorkeling, good food, awesome friendly staff, beautiful beach, great pool. The entertainment was spectacular, the musicians were really great only 250 rooms and adults only, a real slice of heaven, Ray & Linda Bernard

Memories Paraiso: Good time!

The people are very friendly, and try their best to help with any problems. Our room was clean, the building showed its age... It is a large resort ! not a lot of signs to find your way around... pools were awesome... great for kids and adults .. Food wasn't to bad!

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Fabulous vacation

My 9 year old daughter and I stayed at the Memories Splash resort from March 26-31, 2017. We had a great time. The resort was nice and clean. We stayed in the "older" part which still suited us fine. Lots of good food - even a picky eater can enjoy. We loved the waterpark - wasn't many lines and always found a chair there and at the pools. The only thing I didn't like was having to go next door to the Royalton resort to use the beach. Even though it was only a 15 min walk or 5 min trolley ride,  [... read more]it was still a nuisance and felt like an "intruder" at their 5 star resort. Found the vendors a little aggressive but just had to be firm.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Decent resort

I have frequented Cuba several times and in various locations and various resorts Since I was prebooked at the resort I wasn't able to get a room with a king bed for 3 days There was an area where there was a lot of garbage scattered beside a building The shower water wasn't quite hot enough to have shower and several food items were questionable or missing from previous resorts Luckily I brought my own coffee maker as my room didn't have one Somewhat disappointed at this resort

Memories Jibacoa: Another Great Stay!

We have been back to Memories Jibicoa five times and are very pleased with the service, cleanliness and accommodation. The recent upgrades to the beach area with the addition of shade and the newer beach lounges were very welcome. We did notice that the beach area was not kept as clean as previous years in that the washed up vegetation and bits of garbage were left several days before removal. Upon arrival to the resort I missed a step leading down into the beach bar and the server was quic [... read more]k to get me ice and check on my wellbeing as were the staff at the buffet that day and the entire week of my stay. I had ño problem getting ice from the beach bar whenever it was needed for the swelling in my knee. Very caring people working at the hotel.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort

Room was awesome, service wonderful, grounds perfect, great beach(clean), pool awesome, lot's of lounge chairs all day, food so so same thing all the time, more fresh vegetables for salads. Public washrooms need more attention ran out of toilet tissue every day.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful beach

Second time at this resort. Staff are very friendly and beach and grounds are beautiful. Rooms are decent. The only downside was the food. The food was lacklustre but you could tell they try really hard to please you.

Memories Paraiso: Resort was big

The hotel was quite rundown, the rooms were a bit disappointing, had issues with our toilets. There wasn't a lot to choose from regarding buffet style food. The resort was huge and hard to get around if you were older due to walking. The pools were nice and the beach was amazing though! The service was quite good as well

Memories Paraiso: Not so good.

All of the food in the buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner we're mostly cold. The wait for fresh cooked food was extensive. I stood in line for 35 minutes to get an omelet in the morning. The service was not great. I noticed that if you did not tip the chambermaid extensively on a daily basis you did not get your towels changed or anything else cleaned in the room. We left five pesos for the chambermaid every night and still did not get the drinking glasses changed. Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing resort

This is the first time we tried Cuba. W stayed at Grand Memoris . Were there for 1 week startig March 21,2017. A new one for me- if you hungri,you have to pay for ANY food on board!!!! Our room was huge,our air conditioning worked perfectly, lots of hot water,our bar fridge was stocked daily and our cleaning person was excellent (Aleida) always leaving us something different with our towels/blankets and flowers! The buffet is the buffet,breakfast was good,lunch wasn't great always the same everyday,that they need to chang i think..... The beach was one of the most beautiful beaches i have ever seen,soft powder sand,beautiful clean ocean..... just stunning!!!!! Pool was weel maintained and clean,just i think water was too cold! A good amount of haded arease if needed. Would we return,oh YES for sure! Our stay was fabulous!!!!!! Thank you Grand Memories Resort!!!!!!

Memories Paraiso: Amazing Resort

This place is fantastic for family vacations I went with my husband, daughter, son-in-law 3 yr old granddaughter and six month old grandson we had a great time loved the well kept grounds the food was good people friendly the only thing I can say is I found they were a little disorganized at the buffet it was a little long to get served at the stations they should add a few more staff members.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Perfect family resort

This was our first trip to Cuba so we were not sure what to expect. We were not disappointed. We has a great time!!. As soon as we got there check in was smooth and they took our luggage to our room by golf cart for us. Mind you our room fridge did not work, the t.v did not work and the thermostat would not stay at the temp. we set it. But after one phone call they fixed it ASAP. The grounds were beautiful! and clean. Our room was always clean. We were on ground floor and I killed 2 bugs all w [... read more]eek. We always had hot water and the water pressure was fine. All the staff are friendly and polite. We spent most of the time at the ocean (we have a pool at home) My son always had activities going on. We saw a couple of the night entertainment shows. They were great. My son liked the Bochey Ball. The food was fine. some items could have used a little more flavour too them, but there were soo.... many other options to choose that you never went hungry. We stayed as a family in building 4. It is perfect walking distance to everything.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Ok resort for cuba

Just came back March 28 The landscape is beautiful . Try to get building from 1 to 6 if you can . We were put in number 10 and ask to be move closer to everything . The front desk were very nice and moved us to number 2 building which was awesome it had a nice view of the pool. The food was better then we expected especially in the buffet ,we really enjoyed the a la carte . We did not like the bed was very hard and also the pillows really flat . We would of like that the music was at the beach at least until 5 o'clock and also no food at the beach. Personally I didn't think there would be a lot of kids there being after March break but that wasn't the case actually I could not beleive the amount of kids there,a little disappointed cause our travel agent mentioned that it should be fine being after March break but I guess if you have kids and want to take them with you this would be a nice place to go. And also about the gym, didnt like the fact that it only open at 9 am doesn't give you much time to go get breakfast after especially the buffet time for breakfast close at 10:30 am. The shows at night were good but make you dont miss the Michel Jackson show very good . We had the couples massage mine was ok but the lady who give the massage to my husband was pregnant and not feeling good that day she stepped out twice out of the room during the massage for being sick with no apologies either which we thought it was rude .we felt bad for her that she had to work but maybe they should of got somebody else to replace her. anyway be careful if you book a massage at the spa. Now the service at the beach bar was awful very ignorant servers the two of them just talk to each other and gives you the drink without even looking at you . You say thank you and no welcome. And also the grounds workers would come to the beach bar with empty water bottles and get their bottles filled with rum and coke during working hours and they would get serve before you even thought you were there first, not sure about the service in the diamond club side. Overall we find that the service in general in cuba as changed a lot in the last little while .we went from loving Cuban people to not wanting to go back to cuba we were in cayo Coco in January 2017 and we felt the same .the service at the bars really bad . They don't really pay attention to you Didn't matter if you tip or not . Overall it was ok resort , big disappointment with the services, mostly at the beach bar . We will probably not return to this resort .

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: A nice resort

It is a nice resort We enjoyed our stay there. The service was very good, the staff tried thier best to make is a pleasant stay for us. The resort is an old one the building is old , didn't like the public washrooms the doors were broken, they are in fixing mode all the time and they are doing the best to make you comfortable. Room service is good they it could be better. Food is very good but there are not much for those who are vegetarian. Beautiful beech and more beautiful pool area overall I [... read more] give it 3.5 to 4 stars.

Memories Paraiso: Good enough for us

The resort was lovely. We had a wonderful time. There were some water issues while we were there but overall during our stay we experienced water out at 3am then for 1 day until 4pm. Other than that it was not an issue for us. Tge staff was amazing and the hotel grounds are great to explore. This was our first vacation with kids and it was a great pick. Our flight was delayed on the way back and did create some problems but overall it was a lovely vacation and an excellent location.
